Review The Park - Werribee

Karen Edwards
Great local pub. Large with several different areas both inside and out. Staff are friendly and professional and the range of beer was good. Table reservations are accepted and there was several groups celebrating when we were there. My reason for not giving 5 stars is that we found the food disappointing, the chorizo pizza was only luke warm and the base was too soft for my liking. The pesto topping made it all a bit sloppy. The saganaki appeared to be pre prepared and heated up, not made on the premises. It was ok.

Love this place. Family vibe and friendly staff. Of course, the foods were great too! Would definitely visit again.

This is our go-to place for a casual date night, great food, warm fireside (if you can nab the tables close by ;) ) Friendly staff and a great range of ciders, boutique brews and cocktails. Can get a little noisy so not the place to go on a Friday night if you're after a quiet spot.

Came in on the Friday for the first time from the east... Was welcomed in with my family as if I had been a regular! Such good vibes, all staff were very hospitable! Ordering on the QR system was fast and easy... food was delicious and of value and the cocktails were spot on! Leeandra made our night even more memorable... Will definitely be back again!

We just held our wedding party at The Park Hotel. It was a really awesome experience. The Aviary is a great function room. From beginning to finish the process was smooth and the customer service was fantastic. The selection of food and drink to choose from was excellent as well. If you're looking for a fun place for your next function I would definitely recommend The Park Hotel.

Went on a Wednesday and its was Trivia night. There was great vibe in the room and an amazing environment. We ordered couple of cocktails, pizza and parma. Everything was delicious.

This is what vegetarian food should look, feel and taste like! It’s incredible when pubs have gems like this on their menu so vegetarians can enjoy an actual meal (I mean who would want salad in a pub!) 🍔Hoisin Jackfruit Bao with Asian slaw and Beer battered Fries Definitely visiting again!

Love new fruity tangy martini, good & nice local crowd. Nice Food menu selection

The Chickpea Fritter & Chilli Sub that was served had a stale roll. The Park Cubano is not a burger, even though it was listed under the burger menu, but a flattened sandwich with the smallest amount of chips. Will not return.<br/><br/>After raising the issue about the roll, they did offer a free drink or dessert.

Its quite a happening place and we actually like the loudness 😂 not suitable for kids though, too<br/>loud for kids. Overall, food is ok, service is good too... we dont need to wait long for a table, the only big disappointment is the dessert 😭 we had the rocky road, the nuts.. coconut and etc doesn’t taste good and not fresh at all, where sticky date pudding tasted sourish hmmm... not sure why. Will I come back? Hell yes lol (def not ordering desserts next time)<br/>xx 💚

Visited today first time and I fall in love with this place. The vibe and energy level of this pub is really appreciating. I will go again. The foods are great. Crowd is energetic.

Love their black angus iron steak. Cooked perfectly medium rare with burstful bites of chimchurri. The pork ribs had good texture, however lacked in abit of seasoning. I would definitely come back here again for their steak.

Very popular looking place for locals located at the heart of the shopping street on Saturday night.<br/>Large dinning areas with pool 🎱 tables and a lot of group seats.<br/>It was crowded inside and outside also event was on at the yard.<br/>All staff were great but the chef.<br/><br/>We ordered the most 3 popular meals; Cheese burger, chicken burger🍔 and chicken parma.<br/>All meat came too dry and over cooked. Cheese burger had charcoal grill taste and ok out of 3 dishes.<br/><br/>Full enjoyment and drinking 🍻 place for mature family or friends.

Great place. Atmosphere was really good, staff were quick.<br/>Good selection of beers.<br/>Burgers were amazing we had the chicken & the beef & cheese, both were so tasty. I’ll go back for them. <br/>This will be the new local for us.

We came here to celebrate birthday. Everyone’s happy with the choice. It was a trivia night and the room was buzzing. The foods were delicious and waitresses were all friendly and polite.

Lovely spot for a drink or lunch/dinner with friends . Friendly staff. Good food and nice ambiance. Also kid friendly (in the day or early evening).

Nice afterwork drinks place in werribee.Iv been there several times and their drinks and food are quiet reasonable. Friday and Saturday night they have band ppaying there which creates a great vibe and atmosphere. Also go there for sunday brunch. Food is awesome!

My partner and I come here a lot on Wednesday’s and Thursdays for their fried chicken and BBQ meat trays. The food is always delicious with very generous servings. The service could be better in the table service area as we always have to go up to order... however the yummy food overwrites the mediocre service :)

I found this restaurant through zomato expecting good pub food what we got was absolutely out of this world ! Great service with the waiter we got helping us with up coming events and meal choices. They have the choice of either a delightfully relaxing beer garden or a warm "cabin in the woods" feel dining room. Now the food all i can say is wow the food truly knocks this chef's socks off !! I strongly advise going to the park, they smoke their own meats menu is perfectly thought through and presented ! My wife and I will now be here every Wednesday for trivia ! 10/10 can't wait for our next visit.

Dinner: Family of 5.<br/><br/>Didn't - Not like it / didn't love it.<br/><br/>Staff/service: 120% can not fault that.   Very pleasant and effective.<br/>Speed of Service: Above average.  10-15 min wait.<br/>Food:<br/>+ Southern fried chicken burger: Nothing flash - chicken way to small for bun, lacks sauce and taste.   <br/>+ Chips: I liked the thick cut but they were a bit dry and come with no sauce offering - I highly suggest a sauce offering with chips would solve the issue - if they do offer one, then one was not offered.<br/>+ Cajun Fries: A tasted a minimum hint of cajun spice on them - other then that - normal chips - see above.<br/>+ Kids pizza: Son ate it all = must be good.<br/>+ Kids chicken & chips: Son ate it all = Must be good.<br/>+ Kids pasta: Most ate - son number one had some after pizza.<br/>+ Chicken sliders: Wife had - ate all three - nothing flash  - same as the burger above.<br/>+ Coke - or should I say water with a splash of coke syrup.  <br/><br/>Menu choice: Great - I had five things I to choose from - this would keep me going back to try a few other items out.<br/><br/>Cost: Rounded out around $86 for five - so fairly good.

Cool local pub with nice people and great venue. Love the ambience and vibe, pretty happening on a Friday night. Staff are always friendly and food is always good. Keep up the good work !

We chose to come on one of their trivia nights. It didn’t disappoint. We had a lot of laughs & was a fun midweek change up. I didn’t love/ didn’t hate the chicken but the guys definitely enjoyed it, sauces were tasty. Plenty of variety of drinks.

Really disappointed. I ordered one of the specials Barramundi. Looked delicious but part of it was raw.I called the waiter and showed her the raw fish and she immediately told me that it’s meant to be medium rare. She offered to have cooked further but just couldn’t be bothered. I am currently suffering the consequences of the few bites I did have before seeing the raw bits.

Friendly service with a bouncer at the door. So prepared to be ID-ed. Ambience is really pretty and fun. There’s a pool/snooker table available for use as well as a great craft beer selection (not all on the tap). <br/><br/>There’s a special bbq session on Thursday nights. Meat is smoked perfectly and you could also order from the usual menu. <br/><br/>We had the smoked platter, cheesy fries and kimchi fried chicken burger. The smoked meats were great but we are not a fan of the burger. Meat was a lil over cooked thus dry and there was not much of a kimchi flavor too. Will be back to try other things on the menu soon though.

The best hangout place for a beer and meal in the west. Great ambience, great food and good selection of drinks. Only think it's not very kids friendly but what can u expect from bar, at least they still allow the kids in there , lol<br/>Will definitely be back.
Desisean
I don't understand how this place rates as well as it does. If I was looking for a beer and some wedges, it would be decent. In the food department however, it is dismal. I decided to order a chorizo pasta from the specials board and when it came out, it looked alright but it tasted like vinegar! It had chorizo, sundried tomatoes, roasted capsicum (which must have been pickled) and some cherry tomatoes and spinach. I ended up with heartburn! What on earth was the chef thinking? My only positive comment about the experience was that the bar manager and staff were really lovely & friendly. Def won't be back!
Bianca Illiopolous
Really good looking venue in the middle of Weribee! The food is so tasty and on-trend and the range of beer they have is full on. My friends and I did a Sunday lunch and it was a great afternoon - felt like we could have been at a cool gastro pub in the city.

Visited on a Thursday which is currently American BBQ night. An impressive industrial grade BBQ filled the surrounding blocks with the gentle wafting aroma of delicious meets and soft woody smells. Of course you'd order the big daddy plate with extra briskets and meat in general. Unfortunately the food smelled better than it tasted - some briskets too dry, some briskets too salty, uneven. Sides were so so, had much better examples of pickled onions, cucumbers and slaw. Pulled pork was nice though. The place was redeemed by an impressive array of beers, a great spot if you are a fan of local, harder to find brews. Worth a visit for some drinks and maybe a nibble.

Great place to eat & drink. Came here last week on Friday had a few options from their burger & co section Cheese burger, Pork sliders & Korean fried chicken. All fantastic will be my new local!
Eat West
We love The Park, and as it nears it’s 5th birthday we thought it was an excellent time to catch up with the family behind this one-of-a-kind local venue, and give new Head Chef Jon Ford’s new menu a run!  With their own smoker (it's a beast!) to the 22 craft beers on tap and fabulous food - this is a West side gem not to be missed!

Went to The Park on a Thursday night. American BBQ themed specials available that night. I had the spare ribs - delicious! I would go back to eat the sides that came with it on their own too.

Great place in werribee to get some good food and drinks. The pulled pork tacos are the best so just order multiple plates. We tried the beef witb kimchi tacos and the lamb sliders and they werent anywhere near as good. Sunday afternoon is Sunday sessions with DJ playing. Cool vibe.

Just had lunch here!! So accommodating for celiacs!<br/>Friendly staff, lovely owner, and amazing food!! We've been in the past for the Live music 🎶 is just such a great feel! <br/>If you are in the area drop in!! You won't be disappointed 😊

This review is for the food served at the Park Hotel, but i will say that the beer list is fantastic, without doubt one of the best in Melbourne (prices are great too - i'd say 20-25% cheaper than what you'd pay at most other places).  <br/><br/>Unfortunately, the food has really gone down hill over the last 6-12 months, which i am pretty sure coincides with the head chef changing.  The main problem, in my experience, is a real lack of seasoning (have noticed this with the tacos, pulled pork, sliders, and steak sanga over 4-5 meals).  The pizza's are also a real let down - if the crust were half way decent, you could forgive the sparseness of the toppings (and the price), but unfortunately it is not (in fact, i wouldn't be too surprised if the dough wasn't even made in house).  Finally, the menu used to change every 3 months not so long ago - that approach seems to have gone out the door with the old chef too, which is a real shame.<br/>I will definitely be back for a beer or two and maybe a bowl of chips (seems to be the only reliably decent thing on the menu), but am done with the rest of menu until things change

We visited last week as we are moving to the area from Fitzroy.<br/>Very happy with the beer list would rival anything in the CBD the Parmas were good <br/>
Tammo Winkler
The beer is good, but I won't come back for food to this place. The duck was dried out and the oysters were just pathetic. When served, we asked to get some forks, but didn't see the waiter again that night.<br/>Overpriced and poor quality overall.

Best Pork Sliders I have ever eaten! Well done! Great place to chill and have a cold beer. Had the bees tacos, also exceptional. Amazing food

Ordered a chicken parma. It was burnt on top and so soggy at the bottom it fell to pieces. You could tell it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while before it came. Friend also ordered a parma. 1st one was raw. 2nd one was so burnt the cheese had completely evaporated and turned to dust. 3rd and final one was also burnt. She was so hungry she just ate it anyway. It's my 2nd terrible exlerience here in a row when it comes to the food. Get the old chefs back and fix the menu. I'll still visit for a drink but not eating here again until it changes and improves. Used to be my FAVOURITE place to eat. You've dropped the ball in a big way and it's really disappointing guys.
The Plus Ones
Having never even scratched the surface of Werribee’s hospitality offerings, I had zero idea what to expect from my trip out there to preview the Park Hotel’s new menu. But it’s safe to say I was barely through the door before plotting a return visit, so impressed was I with both the food and beer this gem’s turning out.

The Park burst onto an otherwise mediocre scene down in Werribee, well known for their live music, cruisy inner-city vibe and quirky menu.<br/><br/>Sometimes the options get a little bit crazy and there's that feel they're trying to be too different (a lot of ppl comment on the confusing ingredients or descriptions of the menu), but the food is nice enough nonetheless. Service is usually good, unless on Fri or Sat nights where it becomes a little too busy for the staff to handle.

There's not a lot of option in Werribee, so my wife and I chose this place as it was the highest rated in the area. I regret it now, we should have just driven the extra 30 minutes to go either into Geelong or Melbourne. We shared the three meat platter share plate ($45), and I was assured it was enough for two people -it wasn't. The chicken had a taste of dishwashing liquid, the lamb had way too much rosemary and the pork was cold- actually cold. For the sides we had chips and Mac&cheese. The chips were pretty good, but the Mac&cheese was just globules of muck. We weren't full by any means, but we knew we'd have no luck anywhere else for dessert, so we tried the peanut butter cheesecake, which was actually pretty good, I'm guessing they buy this one from somewhere rather than make it themselves, but maybe I'm wrong.<br/><br/>If it weren't for the good cheesecake and OK chips, they'd be getting only 1 rather than a 2 review.<br/><br/>Also, expect to have to smell cigarettes when you're in here as there's no real separation from their main eating area and their smoking area. <br/><br/>It really is just an overpriced country pub.

Had a birthday party to go to here and we arrived about 7:40 Wow this place was loud couldnt talk to someone across the table they just couldn't hear.<br/>When it came to ordering this place prides it's self in tender slow cooked meats so we attempt to order some we were told that there was none left (are you kidding not even one of the 4-5 options) <br/>This has to be a joke I understand this place is busy but really to be out of your main menu items at 7:40pm think you need to check your prep levels and maybe increase them, ok what ever I'll order a pizza went with tandoori and my other half went with the pulled pork tacos <br/>Some time passed which we expected they were really busy but thought with the simple order we would get it a bit quicker an hour passed and had still not arrived my partner went to the kitchen to find half our meals on the pass under the lights she asked if she could take it and they said go back and sit down we will bring it over which they did a couple of minutes later only problem was it was stone cold which is weird as I know how a heat lamp works and should still had had a decent amount of heat in it but sadly not.<br/> Over all I can't believe the town folk of Werribee actually flock to this place it kind of reminded me of a far out country town that had only one pub so that's were everyone went because they had no where else to go but this isn't the case so I'm a bit confused
The City Lane
Want to escape the city but still enjoy all the culinary gastropub comforts you're used to? The Park Hotel Werribee might be your best move with its interesting and ever-changing menu, and possilby the most extensive craft beer selection in Zone 2.
Mary-Rose Carroll
Delicious and generous meal (BBQ smoked meats and sides) and the staff were lovely - the waitress was friendly and the bartenders knew their stuff! Great night :)
Rebecca Vella
Amazing food, great staff and entertainment :-) <br/>Loved the Choc Brownie, had a amazing main meal cooked to perfection! <br/>Lovely clean venue, one of the cleanest venues around!
Dave
Good beers, food not so good. Don't get the Cajun chicken unless you want a half empty plate. So much for the Larger Meal tag. Staff didn't seem to care when issue was raised either.
Chris_cody69
This is a great pub to go for drinks.. that it has plenty of... but understand they are strict about dress code.. almost ridiculous about it to be honest. . <br/>Once you get in the food, drinks and staff are great... i really enjoy trying the new menus that are changed regularly and we usually have our staff get togethers here as it is a cool place to hang out.<br/>Food is usually good, consistent and has a good variety. <br/>Apart from some strict dress code runs the park hotel is always a fun time out.. i would and do recommend this place to all my friends.. <br/>

I'm not usually a fan of gastro pubs as I find them to be a weird mix of trying to be hip but mass appeal at the same time. But this gastro pub is a little beauty! Meals are a good price and the few times I've been here I have always had an excellent meal.
Eileen LadyofLeisure Brinkman
Have never had a bad experience here. Food is great, staff are always friendly and those working in the bar gave great knowledge of craft beers!
Essie
Second trip here and the food is absolutely spot on! Our eye fillet from the Spring menu was cooked perfectly - medium rare. The sweet and sour lamb ribs were so so good. Love this place big time!
Bec Harrison
Not as good as it has been in the past. Love the craft beers<br/><br/>Miss the garlic aioli with the chips. <br/><br/>Liked the potato sliders but feel they need a crunchy element. The pork pizza was a little bland. <br/><br/>Overall disappointed.
Emily
Pizza. Parma. Chips. All absolutely sensational at The Park Hotel. A decent meal that is very filling with a reasonable price! Love the atmosphere of this place and not to mention the impressive drinks menu. The bar tenders never fail to make an amazing cocktail!
Kit And Kafoodle
Way out west in Werribee, there was an unassuming pub encased in an upmarket shell on the corner of main street. The Park Hotel was its name and gastropub was its game, and boy did it play that game well. The menu is simple but plentiful, the serves are huge and the desserts cause much desire despite the fear of the waistline.
Kristen Smith
Interesting Gastro-Pub in Werribee. I dined here for dinner on a Saturday night and found that place almost at capacity. I highly recommend to book for dinner. The food offering is an eclectic mix of Asian, American & Modern Australian. We enjoyed the spiced tofu ramen with kim-chi, your standard parma, chicken sliders & mac n cheese burger. Staff are polite, friendly and accommodating. Would dine here again!
Meadowlakes
Disappointed. Went to The Park for a family get together today was very disappointed. I had heard a lot of things about it. The drinks were tasteless, the coke was awful, it tasted like soda & it needed the syrup changed. Also the bartender needs to know how to make a lemon lime & bitters, as ordered 2 & neither tasted the same or looked the same. The food was overpriced for what you received, who charges extra for chips with a burger. No chips & you paid $14 for a burger which basically was meat in a bun. Someone ordered no salsa on theirs & it came with salsa what's the point of asking for none if they don't listen. The fish had no seasoning, 2 small portions & the coleslaw was drowning in dressing. The Parma was ok but again the salad was drowning in dressing. The children's menu only offered 3 choices. It's seems they are more concerned about the beer that goes with your meal not the meals themselves, pity for non beer drinkers. I won't be going back any time in the near future or recommending it.

Came here Thursday awesome burger

Now you wouldn't think Werribee would be the most obvious location for a nice gastropub but such is the case with the Park Hotel. I've said this before: M is generally reluctant to go out west and Werribee is about as far west as you get in the Melbourne metro area. Nonetheless, both he and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality offered at the Park Hotel.
Jimmy Willy
Went to get a meal on Tuesday night however they only serve burgers, nothing more, walked straight back out.
Rainicorn
Lunch and a drink. Not only do you get a wide variety of beers and ciders on tap, but the pub grub you get with it is actually nice. Been coming here for a while now and I have never been disappointed with the food or the drink. At worst things have been average in the past, but the new menu and the new chef seem to have lifted the quality another notch. The burger was one of the better ones I've had in a long while, and the selection of sides and chips were all tasty.
Libbyrose13
Great beers but food mediocre. I wish the gastro menu tasted as good as it sounds but unfortunately it's lacking. When reading all of the options on the menu one gets pretty excited about the choices offered. But I haven't eaten anything here that really satisfies. It's ok but don't expect the food to be all that.
Fleivers1
EXCELLENT. Been to the Park a few times, excellent food, excellent chefs and lovely staff. Food arrives quickly HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Indy Grey
This is a great place to eat. Food is fantastic, good choice of beer, and very friendly staff. One of the better choices in Werribee.
Maria123
Excellent venue!!. We visited the Park Hotel several times for the last 18 months. The atmosphere is great, the food is top quality, and service is excellent as well!! Thank you to the owners and staff who know how to run such a cool venue properly and make many of west residents extremely happy to have the Park Hotel close by.
Bluecat
Great setup, spacious. Staffing was too busy setting up long tables while my friend and I waited to be seated or even acknowledged that we were there. Took a long time for the food to arrive and the presentation was awful. I ordered Sweet Potato Burger & Chips, while my friend ordered Spinach & Ricotta Dumplings. The burger tastes fine, chips portion is terrible. The dumpling tastes like chicken stuffing :(. This pub will be good for drinks but not a great place for getting together with friends for catch up as the noise bounces back and you can't hear yourself becoz it gets noisy like a market hall.
Skoliks
Really good.. This place is great. I highly recommend it. So many awesome beers to chose from, great atmosphere, really good food. Try the pork belly, was cooked to perfection. Was so impressed I will be returning in a couple of days.
Davedalsanto
Mr David Dalsanto. The 450g rib eye would be lucky to be 300g. Over cooked , arrogant staff, stuffed up order, absolutely hopeless. Don't waste your time with place.
Jade
Disappointed. We had the pleasure of eating at The Park before and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Unfortunately we made the mistake of booking dinner for a Tuesday night, which we didn't realise was street food night & only offered 5 selections. Knowing the food was good last time though we continued. I had the curry. Having no descriptions to go by I didn't realise by curry it was literally sauce and rice. Also half a bowl at that. My partner had the enchiladas & they tasted reasonable but the portions were tiny. In fairness they were somewhat reasonably priced $7-$10 but considering when we finished our meals we were still hungry (and we are not big eaters) I probably should have ordered one of everything. After encountering the curry though I was not game to test my luck. Street food should be left to the street.
Joseph Perese
Fantastic pub, great food and vibe.
Daniel
This good? In Werribee?. This is a tier one Gastropub. The food is fast, balanced, and exciting. The beer is incredibly varied and the taps are well cared for. Needs a little work on the dining hall music selection during the dinner rush, its not current or particularly themed at all. I guess the high security is required for the neighborhood, but this is a place I will be selling to my friends very strongly.<br/><br/>I recommend the duck and mushroom pie. Its short crust pastry was a delightful surprise.
Russell
Hypocrites.. Cant work this place out. clearly states "no neck tattoos".<br/> The food is very good.<br/> The service is very ordinary.<br/> But the doorman had a tattoo on his neck ????
Nancydrew
The food was great when the park first opened, but has gone down hill since. They're trying to over complicate things. Just make simple food, well. And the music is way too loud! I have to yell at a person sitting two feet away from me.
Bianca Viscosi
Great place to go for after work drinks or for lunch with friends. They make really great mojitos and can't go past the pomegranate salad
Neilkling
Don't judge me THAT way. There is no denying the food at The Park Hotel in Werribee is very good. Well done. First BUT..<br/>No neck tattoos, really? Neck tats do not make you a bad or dangerous person. I was told it was to keep bikies out. Well not all "bikies" have neck tats, and not all people with neck tats are bikies (I don't have any issues with bikies myself). I know some very nice people with responsible jobs that have tattoos on their neck. There are even TV personalities with neck tattoos: They would be refused entry. Intimidating tattoos must also be covered up. No definition of ïntimidating was given. Further, some of the staff have tattoos and ride motorbikes.<br/>Second BUT, the security were grumpy and unsmiling, my wife was intimidated. Security leant between us without warning or announcement and took glasses, rude and intimidating. Kitchen staff cooking and leaning over food with beards and uncovered hair, health issue. <br/>I get that you want a great venue, but assess the behaviour as per the intent of the LCR Act.
Gracie Joy Costmeyer
WOULD NEVER GO HERE! we m.... WOULD NEVER GO HERE!<br/><br/>we made the mistake of choosing your venue last night. I'm my dad's carer he has had 3 strokes and is 54 and was humiliated last night at your pub.<br/><br/>My dad was wearing cords tucked into his socks as he had just been riding his bike. I walked into the pub turned around and the bouncer had Dad away from the door in the street closely staring at him looking like he was patting him down. <br/><br/>Dad looked scared I went outside asked what was going on. "No track pants we have a strict dress code". After stating to the bouncer it was my birthday could we PLEASE have a meal inside with my dad who has had several strokes he let us in. I had to plead to get into a venue in WERRIBEE?! <br/>BTW<br/>HE WASNT WEARING TRACK PANTS. <br/><br/>I then went to order at the bistro and could tell Dad was about to cry.<br/>I sat him down I then walk in to see SHOCK children in leggings and a guy sitting in front of us in TRACK PANTS.<br/>I then went to explained to the waitress what happened. <br/><br/>She just went on about the dress code wouldn't let me get a word in.<br/>IF YOU CARE MORE ABOUT A DRESS CODE THEN PEOPLES RIGHT TO NOT FEEL HUMILIATED WHEN THEY CLEARLY HAVE A DISABILITY YOU SHOULD CHECK YOURSELF! <br/><br/>You need to understand how hard it is for someone with a brain industry to socialise outside. I spent the rest if the evening telling him not to worry about it and he we left shortly after. After a 12 hour day at work I wanted to go to warm and friendly pub and treat my dad to a good dining experience not make him cry on the way home on my birthday.

WOW!!! JUST WOW!!. The food is amazing and the people even more so! finally a place in Werribee i can go for good food at a great price.
Simple Eats
Amazing. I think I speak for most people in Werribee when I say thanks so much for establishing yourself here. We have really needed a place like The Park Hotel in the western suburbs for a long time.<br/>The chicken parma is probably the best I've had anywhere in Melbourne and the salad dressing is to die for!! It's the only time I ever get excited to eat a salad.<br/>Can't wait till the cold weather sets in so I can come sit in front of the fireplace and enjoy the atmosphere.
TinaJ
Great place. To sum it up, good food & atmosphere.
Kylie
I was travelling from carrum downs to werribee for the day and saw that this place had consistant positive reviews so my partner and I decided to stop here for lunch. It was a cold rainy day but so cozy inside with gas log fires, relaxed atmosphere, and 80's rock playing on the tv's (im age 24 and partner 31). I had a fillet steak sandwidge with pistachio, fried onion, kale and aoili. My partner had a parma. Both were amazing! Best parma ive tried. Sandwidge $14, parma $22 (the menu changes every three months). We played a game of pool afterwards and had a drink, such a relaxing sunday afternoon will definitely return :)

I felt like crying with joy when I discovered this place. My long search for some decent gastro pub food in the west is over. I'm from point cook and have struggled to find this type of venue close to home without having to drive into the inner city. Yessssaaa and high fives. My new weekly favourite.

The food is truly fabulous

Likes It. The food at this place is amazing. We started with the truffled onion strings with chive and lemon sour cream. Yum,yum,yum...a very large serving. We then had the parma and free range pork belly & prawn salad with black aioli, peanuts and caramel. Once again yummy. The only negative is that the lighting is so dim that it was hard to see and that you can't book a table if there is two or less people dining. When we arrived most of the tables were already taken.

Vego Pizzas are lovely!. Vego pizzas are great AND great selection of beers....the Jamaican Ginger Beer is delish! Try it!

Wings. I really like this place but don't try the buffalo wings, they are terrible.

Turned away. Glad to know that in this day amd age the park is happy to turn away 5 smartly dressed middle aged adults on a beautiful summers night because we were wearing smart thongs sorry park.your loss would have spent in the region of $200 in food and drink will not be back for a while !!!!!!<br/><br/>And wondering if the thong rule applies to both females and males otherwise really could be classed as discrimination ????

After driving an hour to get here recommended by this website, we unloaded our 3 well behaved hungry kids. The security and hostess took one look at my husband with his dreadlocks then scanned the rest of my family and used my shoes as an excuse. Wearing a wedge ipanema thong I was told it wasn't allowed after 5 pm. I explained it was a wedge (and you couldn't see my feet under my garments- so they were looking pretty hard) we left resigned to the fact that we don't need to debate our way into a place that doesn't want us. And we were prepared to spend good money as I like the best on the menu. Walking past the window with the other diners I saw open toes shoes that were flatter than mine worn by some of the older patrons. Disappointed and very embarrassed (as people saw us being turned away and recommended another place for our family to eat at 7pm on a Saturday) we are now headding to a chicken shop for a take away meal and eat at a friends house who remarkably are home to accommodate a disappointed family. <br/>Two very enthusiastic thumbs down. Our trip from mill park was not worth the effort. An I'm sure my shoes were not the reason we were turned away.

Went for lunch before Christmas. Loved the steak sliders and range of different beers. You have a door person that came across a little arrogant and intimidating. The friendly older man was a lot nicer 12 months ago. But other than that the venue was really really nice for the evening.

Great Pizza. Great pizza and beer battered chips. Food came out quick, staff friendly and prices very reasonable.

Cool, funky atmosphere.. Went here on Saturday evening and have to say it is about time Werribee has a cool bar. Loved the rustic look inside. I love the laid back pub/restaurant feel with a bit of class as well. I thought it was cool, funky and good for the Werribee area.<br/>The meal I ordered was the snapper. It was a bit on the sparse side, perhaps an entree is better with this meal or they could put a little more on the plate?...Other than that there were some lovely meals that were coming out so I will definately go back to try some of the other options available. Unfortunately I didn't get to hang around for the music but I definately would go back to have a meal and stick around for a lot longer. The service behind the bar was fantastic, knowledgable and very helpful. I definately would recommend going out here for a meal & an evening out.

Disgusting service by front of house staff. Partner in tailored shorts and polo but denied entry saying shorts are not allowed though girls in the restraunt in mini shorts.. We are not bogans by any means.. Very poor especially looking at the far more underdressed people they had allowed in..

Hard to go past this place in Werribee. I've been in numerous times and never been disappointed. Great atmosphere and culture and mouth-watering food to boot. The steak sliders are a favourite! A large range of boutique beers are on hand with taste testing. All in all, a class act. Werribee needs more venues like The Park.

Great trendy pub with a relaxed atmosphere and young crowd. Excellent food and impressive range of craft beer. The peanut butter cheesecake with salted caramel praline was amazing and really good value. Definitely coming back soon!

Large selection of beers available, and a great setup throughout - except there aren't enough soft furnishings around so it gets VERY loud in there if you're having a meal and trying to talk to others on the table. Love the fireplaces, they're just perfect for this time of year. The Parma was a bit disappointing, but their beef sliders and pizza are delicious. It's also good to see security guards at the door, and they always say hello and goodbye which is nice. Other suburban pubs and restaurants need to be more like this place!

Hands off my plates and drinks! Rude services. I had a great night at the Park Hotel last saturday; beautiful food reasonably priced, extensive drinks list and wonderful live music. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience but I have to say one thing - hands off my plates and drinks please! I am a little agitated with the waiting service - I told one of the staff member that I am still eating my food and she insisted to take my plates away. I had to grab the piece of bread left on the plate to prevent her from taking it away. 5 minutes later, she came back to grab the bread AND my cider which I was still drinking. I was gonna stop her but I just couldn't be bothered really. There was clearly still drinks in the bottle and perhaps she should of asked. Sometime later she came back, this time wanting to grab my friend's glass which contains clear drinking water. My friend had to literally grab the glass off her. Had to consistently tell the wait staff to laid their hands off my glasses and plates for at least 5 times throughout the night. Don't think I will be back anytime soon with the services, how rude.

My hubby and I were staying at the Mansion hotel when found that Joseph restaurant was ridiculously pricey and nothing on the menu really appealed to us. We then decided to go to the park hotel. The staff are super friendly and the food simply amazing. The beef sliders was simply melting in our mouth. The grilled scallops and noodles was full of flavor and soft crab shell was so yum. We also shared the peanut butter cheesecake which was delicious. All up $50 for what I call fine dinning. Highly recommend it!!!
