Review Commercial Hotel - Werribee

Meal was beautiful. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. The venue is fabulous. But please clean around the taps in bathrooms. They were filthy and that just takes away from a great venue and great experience.

Lovely,generous food. My steak was cooked to perfection , it was a delicious meal, as were all the meals we ordered.Great friendly staff, will definitely be going back. Thanks for a great night.

Forgot to bring out my balsamic vinegar with my steak and salad. Which they brought it out when I was done with my food. Also the fish is very oily have a very small menu with not much options. Not very happy, would not choose to got there again.

The food is ok what lacks is the customer service. Which is not there any more not a pub feel anymore sit at table and order on a app, if I wanted to do that I would of stayed home. But then after several tables ordered off the app and not serviced, 30 mins later other customers were served by the manager at the register. Go figure if this continues we won't be back

Once a great pub with a cosy warm atmosphere and great food but now it's let down with the obsession on cost cutting in the restaurant industry by the ordering of a meal via an app at the table. It's one way to really show the impersonal service of a fast food place in an establishment that once had really great service. So no....we won't be back. If I wanted to order food via an app I'd stay home and order Uber. Oh...and the receipts are not compatible with the Governments dine in cash back promotion. So that's even worse. Do better....please!!

I couldn’t believe the only way I would Get my meal is to use a barcode. Some people are not able to use technology. We seen so many customer come in and walk out and not a single staff member to assist them. The meal was nice but the service was shocking We won’t be back and I don’t think many customers Will be back also.

What has happened to the Merc? Used to really enjoy nights at this pub,tonight was an epic fail. Had issues with ordering app so went to counter to order, was told I would have to pay in cash so had to leave bistro to go to ATM, what a ridiculous system, what about elderly people that may not be able to use that technology?? . After waiting over 40 minutes and watching other people be served meals they had ordered after us i enquired about ours, no apologies from the gentleman who I assume was a duty manager only a reply of "3-7 minutes" after he went and checked on their whereabouts, ended up being served after waiting for an hour. Steak was ok, ribs were very average, garlic bread a soggy mess. Will not be going back in a hurry, its a shame that a place that's used to be great for a good old fashion pub meal has sacrificed customer service for the sake of "technological advancement".

Was informed on arrival that you order via a QR code now. As a result left to eat elsewhere as I do not have a smart phone! Been a customer to this hotel for 46 years, will not be back.

On the way to visit family, stopped here for a quick lunch. were greeted by friendly staff and the food was fresh and delicious!<br/>The menu was small but had all the pub favourites, they also had a decent specials board.

We came out for a family night at the Commercial.<br/><br/>We were greeted by wonderful staff and the service was fantastic throughout.<br/>The food was excellent. The variety for starters/entrees were simple but tasty and then the main meals themselves were nothing short of superb.  Recommend to all.

My 2 girlfriends and I decided to have lunch today as we had not been to the Commercial for quite some time and upon entering Traders Bar saw that most tables were occupied (apart from 3) so went to the Counter to ask for a table and get a drink.  There was one Waitress working who was serving a customer in front of us,  she then excused herself to attend to another patron waiting down the other end of the bar.  She promptly served him then another 2 patrons who came up the Bar AFTER us, so after waiting for nearly 7 minutes we decided that it will be some time if we ever come to the Hotel again.

went here the Saturday night before mothers day .<br/>Food was amazing i had prawn twisters and butter chicken was spicey but fantastic. My dad is vefy fussy with eating and said his steak was beautiful which he hardley ever says . keep up the good work

I met three friends here on a Tuesday night. The bistro was not busy at all. 1 hr after ordering our main meals arrived before the soup( which was inedible and had a plastic flavour). The chicken Parma was burnt black and couldn't be cut. The roast was cold and had shaved supermarket ham. My calamari was straight from the freezer, served cold and the salad dressing was the worst I have ever had. How do you get food so wrong?

I had dinner here with family and friends earlier tonight and the dining area was relatively empty at 6:30PM despite it being a Saturday night. However, the new and improved look to the venue is amazing and is definitely an improvement to the previous ambiance. <br/><br/>The staff were lovely and we didn't have to wait too long for our meals to arrive. I ordered the Scotch Fillet and this was relatively decent. For the most part, I've never had an excellent steak at a hotel/pub restaurant and this was one of the better experiences. I asked for medium-rare and towards the middle, it was to that degree. The top of the steak was a bit too charred for my liking and did have a rather strong burnt taste to it. The steak was served with about 5 baby carrots with a layered potato and pepper sauce. <br/><br/>Overall, I did enjoy my night here and the fact that you could use a shop-a-docket voucher here was great - if you bought one main meal, you could get the next for $5. This made the steaks priced at a rather decent price.
