Review Notorious Espresso - Werribee

Mel K
This is a very comfortable cafe and industrial look-n-feel. Lots of sofa seats. Plenty of tables and seats, definitely able to have social distance at any table. Food are impressive and huge serving too. Chicken burger is just perfect. Crunchy outside, soft inside and very tasty too. Serve with a very nice soft bun which slightly toasted. Love it where it comes with short version of shoestring chips. Even chips are coated with quality herbs and salt. Chili egg is huge and also lots of veggies and herbs. Very healthy and considerable spicy. Very good balance. If eggs can be not fully cooked, it will be even better. They definitely have quality coffee and drinks. When dine in, diner can choose still water or sparkling. It just make a normal meal to the next level. Plenty of parking nearby and walking distance from train station. Staff are very friendly and helpful too. A really nice cafe indeed. They also support local business and had local craft sold at the cafe. There are few big tables if any large groups of diners required. This cafe also have kids menu.

Entered this cafe at sharp 7am šŸ˜, as I was looking for good breakfast options in and around werribee. Tried their Cappuccino and Fritters breakfast, to be honest both turned out to be amazing hence the 5 stars, good start to my morning. But cost wise they are on a bit higher side compared to other cafes at Watton Street, werribee.

Amazing breakfast meals, delicious orange juice & the perfect coffee. Everything you'd need! First photo is hotcakes, second photo is the french toast with a side of bacon for reference

Though it was busy because of Mother's day, the staff were very accommodating with sitting arrangements. Food took 30 minutes and could have easily been longer. But such a delay was understood with a day as such. Coffee and Hot chocolate were the right temperature for the weather and were served within minutes. Food cooked fresh and absolutely great. Hash brown was lacking flavour but with chilli scrambled it was perfect. Poached eggs cooked to perfection and Sujak had an amazing taste to it as well. Kudos to the staff for staying calm and cheerful on a hectic busy day. Would I come back here -Yes !

Place is very spacious, very friendly service! The food we ordered were all very tasty! THE B.I.G. Lots of meat plus haloumi. Really enjoyed the beef rasher šŸ˜‹ MOROCCAN CHICKEN BOWL Juicy tender tasty chicken and the haloumi pops were awesome šŸ˜» Croffin Kind of a cross between a croissant and muffin. Interesting texture, sweet and not as heavy as it looks - very enjoyable šŸ˜ø

Beautiful food and great wines. Very hygienic and super fast service. We were in and out. But I guess that also depends what time you go there. We were like before 9am and that was extremely great visit. Worth every penny.

We had visited Notorious Espresso for brunch not long ago and hereā€™s what we had!

Shashuka - served with chickpeas, eggplant, zucchini, fresh herbs, feta, dukka, and zataar bread! What I liked about this was the creaminess of the sauce and the softness and fluffiness of the bread! It was an explosion of flavors in my mouth which made me want more!

Granola bowl - served with seeds and nut clusters, raspberry yoghurt, fresh seasonal berries and freeze dried berries! The granola was such a winner for me as it was not overly crunchy and chewy and the sweetness of this complemented the sourness of the raspberry yoghurt!

Golden Kit Kat hotcake - served with buckwheat clusters, golden Kit Kat, seasonal berries, Oreo crumble, creamy salted caramel and vanilla ice cream! Whatā€™s not to like about this sweet delight?! The hotcake was a stunner in looks and taste! It was like a cake but soft, fluffy and moist and you could taste the butteriness of it! What made it even better was the crumbles and vanilla ice cream which sweetened it up for me! It is no surprise that this was my fave for the day!

Notorious Espresso offers yummy food and we canā€™t wait to visit again to try the rest of their menu!

Notorious Espresso is located at 81 Watton St, Werribee.

We ordered:
Shakshuka,
Halloumi fries,
Pink granola bowl,
Fries w/ harissa aioli,
Chai tea,
Turkish delight hot chocolate,

My family really enjoyed everything we ate and drank from Notorious Espresso. The shakshuka was delicious and very filling. The halloumi fries looked amazing, were so tasty & kids loved them. I enjoyed the granola bowl with fresh fruit and pink yogurt.

The Chai tea and Turkish hot chocolate were just perfect for this sunny day out in Werribee.

These guys brought their expertise in specialty coffee & great food from their much loved Collins st cafe a few years back and set up Notorious Espresso, recreating a great inner city feel, and amazing decor (the graffiti inside is amazing).

We canā€™t wait to come back.

Quick friendly service however barely any avocado and feta for one piece of bread let alone two. It looks picturesque but thatā€™s about it...I asked for scrambled egg whites - pretty sure I got one which was undercooked so couldnā€™t eat it and was charged $3 for the serving.

The food is delicious. My friend ordered egg Benny and I ordered lamp and cauliflower hash. The lamp is so tender and juicy, potatoes are well flavored.

The staffs are nice and friendly. Coffee milk froth is cream and prefect for cappuccino! Love it. We donā€™t live nearby, but will definitely go back ;)

I had a great experience at Notorious Espresso. The service was very prompt and friendly. The quality of the food was too notch. I especially loved the cauliflower burger. The flavours were superb yet the burger felt light on the stomach. I really recommend checking out Notorious Espresso.

Lovely brunch vibes.
Had a variation of different dishes. Love the ambition in the flavours and the attention to detail. The best place in Werribee and quite possibly all of the Western Suburbs.

If I could single out one dish, itā€™s the chilli scramble. Must have.

Soon as you walk in this place you know it's the place to be. The walls have such cool graffiti art.

I had the greens and grains which came with a perfectly cooked poached egg.
Greens were nicely seasoned.
I especially loved the crunchy chickpeas which added a nice bite.

My hubby had the gold pancakes which came with gold kit kats and a delicious caramel sauce he was in love with them.

Please check this place out I really enjoyed myself at this cafe food and interior was great.

Notorious Espresso is definitely notorious for their food and their artworks, forget plain white backgrounds, they are a thing of the past here. You are hit with a gorgeous graffiti splash back and kudos to who designed it.
Dining on kitkat gold hotcakes, ā€˜Greens and Grainsā€™ and a Jamaican jerk chicken salad, there were happy tummies. The salad had a middle eastern spice throughout, with the pomegranate seeds adding a hit of sweetness and fried chickpeas and kale adding texture and crunch - a salad youā€™ll wanna be friends with.
The staff were lovely and accommodating, and their coffee was a good pick me up to cure that 3:30-itis. Would definitely recommend!

Had a great time here. Very friendly & helpful staff that offered great customer service! Atmosphere & vibe of the restaurant was very nice & relaxed! Loved the art on the walls & also the little gift counter they have at the front! Food was also great! Me and my partner ordered the Shakshuka baked eggs, the chicken burger, a Tropicana smoothie and a chocolate milkshake! The shakshuka with baked eggs was amazing! Beautiful flavours that weā€™ve had nothing like before! The chicken burger was seasoned perfectly to our liking! Full of flavour and it was accompanied by a siracha aioli that it paired perfectly with. Such an amazing tasting burger and my partner went the extra mile and said it was the best chicken burger heā€™d ever tasted!! The Tropicana smoothie was super tasty and very refreshing! And last but not least the chocolate shake! It was made perfectly & we wanted more haha. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and will be back soon!

Loved the food! The shakshuka and Turkish eggs were especially great! Great staff too and great variety

Definitely worth the drive out to Werribee. This cosy cafe has a hearty menu from Shakshuka to French Toast.

Everything was tasty an they were generous with the portions. Our favourite was the Knefeh French toast ! It wasnt too sweet and had the perfect fruits accompaning the french toast. The addition of rose water syrup was refreshing.

The Shakshuka was the perfect comfort meal with the extra. The addition of Sujuk was perfect and definitely reccommended.

Our final dish was the benny, the meat was perfectly cooked but the potato has was slightly too dense. Would love to see it more fluffy.

I was so impressed when visiting Notorious Espresso for brunch! This quirky cafe is a local fave with the community, and you can easily see why! The food has so much flavour and thought out into the presentation, the coffee is smooth and rich, and the staff are super friendly.

We sat outside the front of the cafe, which provided us with plenty of shade. My favourite dishes were definitely the sweet ones! The French toast and baklava pancakes in particular were so incredible!! Definitely not one to miss out on šŸ˜œ

If you are looking for the coolest cafe in Weribee, then look no further than Notorious Espresso. From it's grafitti covered walls, and murals of gangsters; to the friendly, welcoming staff; this cafe is an oasis in this area. The large space was full of happy diners on the day I visited, proving that the guys here know what they are doing. Once I had my first coffee, I could see why. It was absolutely delicious, and perfectly brewed.

Not to be outdone, the food menu is outstanding, with a slight Middle Eastern slant to cafe staples. The food is fresh and flavoursome, and presented beautifully.

We started with the granola yogurt bowl, and this deep dish was chock full of homemade granola, tangy yogurt and all kinds of fresh fruit. An absolute treat, and so delicious that it was hard to believe that it could be so healthy. As a lover of granola, I was really impressed with this blend. It had the perfect crunch and all the elements were balanced and tasty.

I couldn't resist the Baklava pancakes, one of the Middle Eastern inspired dishes. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius, as fluffy soft pancakes are the perfect foil for the sweet and crunchy filo and nuts. So many pistachios, that I was in heaven. Topped with fresh strawberries and icecream, and accompanied with a homemade rosewater syrup, this was pancake nirvana. I was pleasantly surprised that the dish wasn't too sweet, and the generous portion means it could be easily shared between two or more people. The pairing of pancakes and baklava is a marriage made in heaven, and I'm so glad that I got to experience them.

Notorious Espresso is a fabulous cafe that would be perfectly at home in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, so the residents of Weribee are really lucky to have this gem in their own backyard. However, I would recommend a visit to the area just to try the amazing menu, and experience the fantastic hospitality of the gorgeous staff. If for no other reason than to taste these amazing pancakes and the perfect coffee, I know that I will be returning again soon.

I absolutely loved my visit to this cafe. It was a gorgeous day so we decided to sit outside and the tables were great for our large group. We ordered the Brioche French Toast, Ancient Grains, Granola Bowl, Black Rice Porridge and the Sweet Potato and Corn Fritters. I absolutely loved every single dish. They were not only gorgeous and colourful but the flavour was incredible too! The staff were super friendly and the Ice Chai was one of the best Iā€™ve ever had. Thank you!

Went here for a brunch with my friend, options to sit outside and inside. The staff are very friendly, giving warm welcomes when you enter and are happy to help. The restaurant itself is very clean.

We ordered a Nutella hot chocolate, grilled calamari salad and the pancakes. The presentation for both dishes was pretty, the sauce for the salad was amazing and the pancakes were fluffy. The only thing that could be improved is adding more ice cream or put less nuts in between the pancakes because it got a bit dry.

Finally a cafe in Werribee that's worth going and can be compared to eastside cafes!! Dirty chai is on point. Food is amazing.

Honestly thought Notorious was really good. It was also great to see a local cafe bring in some amazing vegan options. I loved the Black Sticky Rice pudding and the Poke Bowl, the falafel had really good flavour. The ambience was pretty chill and open, and the staff were lovely, would go again anytime!

Came here on a rainy saturday morning for breakfast and I was greeted by really friendly staff. The cafe also has a really nice chill vibe inside and a cool graffiti outside. The highlight dish for me has got to be the Kitkat gold pancakes!! It was so tasty! Also recommend ordering their haloumi fries and the sujuk. This cafe is definitely Werribeeā€™s gem.

I really loved this cafe in Werribee. The staff were all so friendly, it was nice to be greeted with such warmth and enthusiasm and a smile ļŠ

We chose to sit outside at the front, and there were so many dogs around!!!

An easy 10/10 for their creativity and modern take on food, fresh and funky new venue, and most importantly, the friendly staff who delivered nothing but excellent service. Thank you for having us, looking forward to our next visit!

We visited here for Sunday brunch and loved it! Staff were incredibly friendly and food was 10/10. Our favourites were the benny, smashed avo, halloumi fries and the coffee of course. Highly recommend if you are in the West!

A LOCAL GEM IN THE HEART OF WERRIBEE!

We had the pleasure of having brunch here on a weekend as a group and we all had a wonderful time. The venue had a hip hop vibe with its modern graffiti on the walls, however the atmosphere was still very warm. Staff were fantastic and very friendly and hospitable!

Now for the food! WOW! Every dish was presented so well but even better, it tasted amazing! We shared the pulled pork egg benny with that vibrant pink hollandaise sauce, avo smashed with plenty of avocado, sweet potato & corn fritters, shakshouka baked eggs and crispy halloumi fries. As for sweets, we had the most delicious Knafeh French Toast we have ever tried... crunchy on the outside but super soft and moist on the inside. We also had the Gold Kit Kat Pancakes which was epic!

It was a wonderful dining experience and would definitely return!

Visited Notorious Espresso in Werribee for a Zipkick event a couple of weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised to find such a gem.

ATMOSPHERE:
The wall art was AMAZING, the colours and different designs are so much fun, they really add to the vibe!

FOOD & DRINKS:
As you can see we tried an array of different dishes - sweet and savoury of course! We also tried the Costa Rica cold drip, lattes and smoothies.

REVIEW (5/5): šŸŒŸšŸŒŸšŸŒŸšŸŒŸšŸŒŸ
Everything about this place is on point! The vibe, the dishes, the presentaion, their flavours. You can definitely tell this cafe has had a lot of thought and effort put into it. Thanks for an AMAZING time, will definitely be back again!

The gem in Werribee!

We got invited to try out the new menu for brunch and it was absolutely amazing. I really liked the idea of a middle eastern twist for brunch as its makes it different and unique

We had the privilege of trying a variety of the brunch items on the menu and to name a few favourites the knafeh french toast, the beef brisket dish, halloumi fries and the sujuk. These dishes were very unique and different from the normal brunch items

Their coffees are supplied from veneziano coffee roasters and you know its good. They do have good coffee blends in house along with the cold brew

The decor inside is very hip and modern with modern graffiti along the walls. Most importantly the staff were really friendly and attentive

If youā€™re in that area, be sure to check out this hip and modern brunch spot with a middle eastern twist
Tried first time, impressed and satisfied with the foods, friendly staff and welcoming ambiance. Thanks to the beautiful and friendly lady who recommended two items - shakshuka baked eggs, Turkish eggs and we loved these so much that we will visit again for then. Worth trying for brunch or breakfast. We will definitely go again.

What a gem in Werribee. Staying nearby as part of a local vacation. Looked for an alternative to hotel food and found this cafe. Fantastic food with a. middle eastern influence.

Iā€™m a big meat eater but needed a salad to balance things out - the ancient grains salad was fantastic!- tasty and filling.

Staff are really friendly so If I am ever back in the area, Iā€™ll definitely go back.

I always enjoy coming here. Staff are friendly and accommodating, food is delicious and it is a nice atmosphere. I love that they have fresh juices too! Pokebowl was delish!

Very good coffee It was very smoothly frothed and a tad weak, but I enjoyed very much. The tea was a okay. As for the food, the chilli scrambled eggs came with good portion and the were kicks of chilli every now and then. They also came with shallots, thumbs up. Unfortunately i don't really like the bread. The inside got soggy way too quickly. As for the morrocan chicken burger, it was probably one of the most plain looking burger I have ever had, but adding halloumi there was a terrific idea. I also like the chunky chips, it always taste better if everything looks like it prepared fresh in house.
Dave
Got a take away coffee. It was crap plus sugar wasnā€™t even stirred in, clumped at the bottom. Didnā€™t try the food. Maccas coffee would have been better
Gormand
Some of the best brunch food in the area with a seasonal menu change, I highly recommend. Come here frequently and the staff are always nice and the service is good.

In the middle of Werribeeā€™s Main Street is one of the west sideā€™s most underrated cafeā€™s in Notorious Espresso. With their incorporation of middle eastern flavours into their take on brunch, it is surely one of the go to venues for brunch in Melbourneā€™s west
Julian Cringasu
Absolutely incredible food, amazing staff, treated with respect and a nice quiet place to gather thoughts and even get some laptop work done.
100% recommend!

Nice ambience and Really nice coffee - one of the best Single Origin long blacks I've ever had!

Unfortunately the food was the let down. We ordered the brunch bowls, some of the pumpkin was uncooked, the tabbouleh lacked taste and falafel were really dry. Nicely presented just lacked quality.
Always Hungry
Nice and friendly place. Coffee is really good. Love the creative dishes. Sorted of fusion-nyy taste to it. A place to gather your thoughts as the ambience is peaceful and quiet.

This cafe reminds me of Crocked Fork, yeah I think they have changed management. The food presentation is really pretty, we ordered the French Toast, itā€™s so pretty šŸ˜Š with the flowers and itā€™s so colourful! Taste wise, is average to me. We also ordered a plain croissant, I hope that all cafe can heat their croissant with a way that not pressing the croissant, I hate to eat flat croissant šŸ˜¢
