Review District 3030 - Werribee

Delicious food, I'll definitely come back to explore the rest of the menu. I've ordered scotch fillet with plum sauce, my partner had the soft shell crab. We've had chicken spring rolls as a starter. No regrets! The food was very tasty and there's still so much to choose from the menu. I have seen all the reviews and I decided to try and see for myself - I am very happy with my decision. See you soon!

We popped into District 3030 last week and had the special of all you can eat Fried Chicken and it was delicious. So crunchy on the outside and juicy and hot on the inside. Cooked to utter perfection. There were 6 different sauces to accompany the chicken and they ranged from tomato sauce, to chilli sauce and also a fabulous mayonnaise one. The staff were very efficient and very friendly. The restaurant is bright and very clean and the special events room is stunning and very different. Can't wait to to back....(the photo posted is the second batch we received..)

The atmosphere is very nice, the restaurant is rather large so you will definitely find a place to sit. They have a very diverse selection of Vietnamese food available, it's very much a group catered menu for sure, but it would be nice to dine alone as well. The food is very tasty and certainly worth the wait, but do be aware that it is on the pricey side of things, so if you're looking for the typical cheap Vietnamese outing, this isn't the place, there are a few others down watton street.

Really nice atmosphere, friendly attentive staff. Crispy wantons, spring rolls, steak in plum sauce and rice, 2 drinks = $70. Nice to have a good restaurant locally. Sunday evening at 730 - service was perfect. (Locals may find prices a bit higher than they’re used to paying) but we’ll go again for sure.

Great Vietnamese food within a contemporary setting. Great range of food, proper flavours and generous portions. The dining space is modern and has a great atmosphere. A blend of traditional and modern decor. The washrooms are nicely refurbished and classy.

Absolutely amazing! What a great place, food was fantastic, service was great. There were a few wrong orders (like extra food coming out to us that we hadn't ordered) but the staff were REALLY nice about it and kindly removed it from our bill. We had a little one with us so there was a nice and clean high chair. The place was clean and well decorated. Lots of space and again, food was Soo good!!! I would recommend! Thank you district!

Food was really yummy and their serving size is really huge.. i guess one main is more than enough for two people to share.. I ordered spicy ginger chicken and it was perfectly cooked and correct level of spiciness..

The best Vietnamese food in Victoria I have tried! Friendly staff and excellent food. Love the chill and relax atmosphere in the restaurant. Must try their special Vietnamese ice coffee.

Food was expensive extremely disappointing and unappetising! The meat was grey in colour and swimming in watery juice - containers we only 3/4 full And was charged $30 for the container!! When we rang to complain there was no explanation or offer to replace!

I thought the bad reviews would be wrong so checked it out as a last min decision. I was wrong. Bad me.
Wow this place is bad. To keep it brief "Salt and pepper tofu" was rubbery firm tofu cooked so badly (horrible), in an undercooked flour, NO SALT OR PEPPER, but loads of paprika served with lemon and satay sauce !? We ordered a few items, their satay was the only thing eatable. Do not go here if you like Vietnamese food.... Or food in general.

Friendly staff and really nice place and atmosphere. The food was nice but just a little average. The fried rice I ordered was quite hard and dry but overall this place has a lot of potential.

Went to this place for birthday lunch and oh boy was surprised with great interiors and awesome food. A nice modern Vietnamese restaurant with great food full of flavours. We ordered crispy vegetable dumpling and Peking duck bao which are spot on. For mains we got sweet and sour sizzling prawns and spicy ginger chicken and both were delicious. Price is a bit on the higher side but the portions and quality makes up for that. Hands down one of the best Vietnamese restaurant. We would definitely be back to try other dishes

District 3030 has a lovely bright interior with friendly and welcoming staff, unfortunately the food itself is not authentic, I’ve visited twice unfortunately this evening I selected the $45 set menu with my dining companions and strangely every dish was terribly sweet and these were SAVORY DISHES the papaya salad was sweet, the meat dish sweet the chicken dish sweet unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the meal at all and it was quite expensive for what we received.

Not very happy with this place.

1. It was very noisy, music was very loud!
2. Pricy - banana fritter is AUD 22, traditional small pho was over AUD 20
3. not authentic

Ordinary food at fine dining price, not going to last long in Werribee.

Came here as I heard they had a vegan menu.
It was weird, it said it was a plant based menu with no animal products... Or salt. Yet the food was salty lol. Which I'm happy about, I don't know why they'd say they don't contain salt, that has nothing to do with plant based "rules".
But also one of the options didn't have the vegan symbol next to it.... So it's not all plant based then?
It's just all really weird and confusing.

Anyway, I got the tofu bao, which was 15 bucks. They had barely anything in them it was a rip off!! They tasted nice but had less than half the filling of the chicken ones my friend got. I was still hungry after! So I spent another 18 bucks on the vermicelli bowl, which I assumed would be like at other Vietnamese restaurants, cold noodles, not oily, maybe some spring rolls or tofu, salad, coriander, mint etc..... It was nothing like that, it was hot and super oily, too oily, the flavour was fine but nothing special. At least they weren't stingy with the vegetables and the serving was quite large.

I wouldn't come back. Basically it's overpriced and the menu is weird and confusing, it's also not authentic Vietnamese at all and the flavours are nothing special.

Great new restaurant in Werribee, in what used to be Mondelles. Stylish decor, although it is noisy.
Service was spot on and the food was fresh and yummy!

Started with the dumpling platter (emporers nest ) and had the satay sticks ( yummy satay) and spring rolls. All 4 of us enjoyed all the entrees.
Presentation of food was also very high.

Had the salt & pepper calamari, which was cooked perfectly and the Saigon beef with fried rice.
Couldn’t fault it and speaking to the owner/manager on the way out she told us that all the salad is made fresh and the don’t use pre-cut carrots etc. it’s all made in-house.

Saw what other patrons were eating and can’t wait to go back again to try other dishes!

Cheap & cheerful for District 3030, a very open & airy restaurant. Service could do with a little refinement but they are still new so im sure over time it will pick up. Food was all really tasty, didnt have amazing wow flavour but certainly was good & for the price value for money. We were in & out within an hour so pretty quick, wasnt a completely relaxed vibe.
Will be back to see if a bit of time & experience will help things be bumped up to a 4-5...

Food was fantastic. A bit on the pricey side but it was a family night out so expected. We had the Devil Chicken Wings as starter and they were crisp and delicious! Then we all had Pho. Extremely generous and very tasty. All in all, it was great. Would go again, probably only for special occasion based on price.

The atmosphere and decoration is great. Staff service also excellent but the food was not authentic especially fried-rice duck. The rice was too hard like the old cooked rice, very chewy. The chef should taste the food before serving. Anyway overall is good except food that not Authentic Vietnamese.

Went for lunch 13/01/19.
Greeted on arrival and seated straight away. Waited for 15 minutes before waiter took order of drinks and food. After another 30 minutes, food arrived.
Only ordered starters, crispy chicken bao burgers and bbq pork buns. Both were really tasty, but presentation was average (see uploaded photos).
Waiters appeared understaffed and tables not cleaned off, while there for 1 hour.
If the service was faster and friendlier, I would have given 4 stars.
The food is good, maybe a little more expensive than what you would expect in Werribee. I agree with the western twist on Vietnamese from other reviewers.
Really lovely interior and toilet facilities.
It’s newly opened so I will go back in a month or so and hopefully they have ironed out some issues.

I agree the the place is overpriced, but consider the fancy fitout and the place is quite spacey which is good for family with little ones, $66 to feed 2+2 including drinks was not too bad. And yes, I think the menu selection and the flavour are catered more for Aussies which are heavily meat based and lots of deep fried stuff with sweet dipping spices.
After reading the google reviews that lots of people complaining about the waiting time( some saying it’s ridiculously long like 70-90 mins)I was a bit concerned when seating there with drinks almost finished but no signs of food coming out yet. However, after asking the waiter about how long shall we be expecting the food and showed concern about our hungry kids getting a bit grumpy, the food came out after about another 5 mins.
Will I come back again? Probably not with the family but maybe for a girls night out to have some drinks before grabbing some small dishes so we won’t mind too much about the time

District - no idea. Extended wait times over 90 mins before food came out and we were not ever notified of the wait. Food came out lack lustre and unappealing. Staff seem disinterested and snooty. Nobody looks happy there and everybody looks hungry while grow old waiting for dinner. What is the kitchen doing? Also, $28 for a main chicken meal which consists of 2 drumsticks with barely much more than grizzle, and 4 other cuts of chicken which were clearly left in the oil too long.. that’s just highway robbery. Sorry guys but you will not last here.
