Review The Pancake Parlour - Werribee

Valerie Bayhon
My husband and I wanted to do our tiny celebration by eating out. My husband ordered Traditional Bacon and Eggs with add on of Hash brown, while I ordered a Country Breakfast. We also had a short stack with chocolate ice cream on top. The pancakes were great and the eggs were fluffy. However, we were a bit disappointed with the hash brown. It tasted really good, but seemed too small for it’s price. We also had drinks, I love my husband’s Iced Mocha (I drank half of his lol). My iced coffee is just lacking in a little bit more of coffee. It was too milky for my liking. Nonetheless, we were served by friendly staffs and had a great time.

YUMMY pancake breakfast! I got the salted caramel crunch with a side of the bavarian apple..they used to have this on the menu years ago but now you have to order it like this. The swiss mountain malt lacked the caramel flavour i was looking for. The reason for the 3 star rating was the service. It wasn't very busy and there were alot of staff on, but the time it took to get served was too long of a wait. The girls there were nice though

Last visit/Wont be coming back: came in with the wife with a groupon voucher. Apparently its a take out only option. We requested to eat it at the table as we were going to order more food and drinks. But they declined so we retracted on the sale of drinks and extra food on top of the groupon deal. If you are coming to eat in dont bother if you have a groupon. It makes absolutely no sense that you cant eat the ‘take out’ in the restaurant from ‘pan cake palor’ its pretty anti social practice. Such a shame… First Visit: Had great pancakes here but was pretty pricey! Especially for a smashed up ‘hashbrown’ would have expected the pancakes to be a little bit more moist as well.

Dined indoors around 1pm for lunch. Not the place if you prefer quiet dining as it's fairly noisy indoors. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a short waiting time. Food is okay but i think overpriced $70~ approx for the 2 plates and large iced coffee and iced tea. Nothing else memorable but lots of seating areas and booths.

Beautiful looking pancakes and delicious coffee ☕ but pretty expensive compared to any other breakfast Cafe. The potato fries and wedges were the worst of all. Totally blend with no salt or spices.

Was a great place to eat, the service was fast and our food was yummy. Coffee was good too. Highly recommend but it’s a lot smaller than other pancake parlours!

Service was on point. You can order from the table itself or wait for the staff to take your order. Staff forgot to add Banana to the Banana split, but mistake worthy of humour rather than a complain. Mistake was quickly rectified with no dramas.

Beautiful pancakes with lovely toppings. Staff super friendly and helpful. Pictured below , Blueberry pancakes at rear , and front pancakes with Jamaican banana , walnuts and maple syrup. Both served with creamy vanilla ice cream.

Good quality pancakes . Would be nice to have better customer service

Its good to come here once awhile for a quick breakfast. Just the ordinary pancakes, service is fast today. Ordered 3 coffees but one came first, the other 2 were served slow 😅

A very good ambience and a very good pancake. Surprisingly the malt shakes taste really good. Chocolate ice cream is one of my least favorite item. Pancakes are fluffy and warm. If ordered with ice cream then ice cream melts in warm pancake. Fresh strawberries with pancake and ice cream is amazing. Service is good. But little slow and taking orders, delivering orders and taking away plates.

The pancakes were divine and delicious. We ordered sweet medley which had four flavours (salted caramel, Alice in wonderland, strawberries, raspberries n rhubarb). The strawberry pancake was good. Great for friends and families.

Oh students, don't forget!!! There's a students menu😁

It’s nice to eat, but they forgot one latte and a kids meal.
It’s busy but you do have technology in your hands so it can’t be that hard to take the order and get it right.
We finally got the half burnt kids meal.

our late night sugar cravings are sorted, all thanks to pancake parlour. There pancakes are always amazing. We go there atleast once a week and havent gotten sick of eating there.
THE PARMA COUPLE
the parma was a great meal - I definitely enjoyed it 😋 the pancake parlour is a popular restaurant franchise but unfortunately I don't think any of their meals are worth their expensive prices 😮 they're quite overdoing their prices so that's a bummer 😩 and unfortunately because of their prices i can't see myself going back 😥 also - who sells a parma without the chips?! very weird 😑 but foodwise, im glad the parma came with ham (so rare these days!) and the sauce was great too ☺️

Cold and burnt plant crepes. Staff too busy talking to themselves rather than work. Eh, go to high point. Better quality food and staff. This place used to be alright, food usually takes 30min to come out

The ambience of this Pancake Parlour is superior to other Pancake Parlours that I've been to. Spacious, clean, brightly lit with eye pleasing interior decor.

I've only had positive experiences dining here. A very family friendly and chill place to have casual drinks and food. Always find myself returning as I know it's a reliable place to dine at.

Wonderful ambiance and great menu options. Service was courteous but the server never bothered to serve water even after asking for it. Food was delicious but incredibly expensive! $20 for pancakes for one person?? Really- that too with drinks or sides not included... might not return unless there’s a discount offer. Not worth the price for pancakes!

Enjoyed a beautiful dinner here for our daughter's 10th birthday. Food was delicious especially the pancakes of course 😊 Favourite dish was the cheesecake pancakes with strawberries!
Yummy😉
OMG!!! Amazing place and great atmosphere and that’s just the beginning, all the pancakes are mouth watering and the service was fantastic, just one little issue and that is it is very pricey, I mean it does taste great and all but pricey$$$

So disappointed with the new vegan options. There is only one savoury option, the morrocan plantcrepe. It was literally just like eating a plate of oil. So disgusting. No good flavours just yucky oil. And it was expensive! Just a crepe with some mushrooms, tomato and oil. Not even a side salad! So much smaller than the non vegan meals too, came on a plate half the size. And over 11 dollars for a chocolate drink??? It was good but cmon not worth that at all.

All conversations about pancakes lead to Pancake Parlour!
Today I had the chance finally go and dig in for a weekend breakfast.
Ambience - Spacious, Clean, Well lit up and seems kid friendly
Staff- Very courteous and took care of our customisations
Service- Slightly slow
Food - Good but not great. We were expecting slightly larger portions.
Price - Slightly on a higher side.

Fun fact: We got good deal on the Entertainment app!

Really enjoyed their Bavarian Apple and Jamaican Banana pancakes...great to enjoy in late Sunday afternoon. The staff were super friendly and quick service too.

I went here with a friend for breakfast and ordered the alice in Wonderland pancakes and I had to say they tasted really nice. The pancakes are fluffy and delicious but I must say they are expensive for what you get on the plate. Would go again as the experience is lovely and the staff were great and helpful.

Incredible pancakes! A wide selection to suit everyone's taste. Malts are slightly too sweet. Prices are a little high. Staff are friendly and great.

Came here for the second time in two weeks, service is really kind and attentive, the food was fresh and quick only problem is both times the iced coffees have been subpar
Brad Capinjola
Epitome of over priced. If I'm paying that much, I would hope at least the service was spot on. Nope. Staff that apparently hate being there, wrong orders, and cold food. Disgusting.
Jason
What a joke! You ask for a dessert spoon to be given a smaller tea spoon to eat your ice cream and pancakes. What Pancake Palour does that! You need to be a midget to use the spoon they give u.

Great ambience and service. I also loved the creativity of the menu items. Great place to go to, especially if you want to treat yourself (slightly pricey).

We have been coming here pretty much since it opened. We have always had great service and the food has always been consistent with PP standards. The sweet pancakes are my personal favourite. The PP in Werribee is open quite late too so it can save you if you are running late and haven't made dinner.

Have always been walking past pancake parlour for the past few months and about a month ago I brought my kids here for breakfast. What surprises me is that they are always handing out FREE foods and coupons for everyone to enjoy ! Fantastic service with great food.

This place was the highlight of the trip when it came to food!! For a pancake lover this is heaven. Every thing from savoury to sweet you could crave for is available. We had the farmer's basket, the blueberry pancake, chicken parma, hot marshmallow and swiss mountain melt. Amazing!!

Had not been to this restaurant yet, went for lunch on NYD which has become a tradition for the last few years. Ham, cheese & pineapple crepe was delicious, as was the Pepsi spider. Service was good. I like that they advise prices are higher on a public holiday. Gives you fair warning, so if you're not prepared to pay don't go.

Took a solid 15 minutes to be served even though it was close to empty but at highpoint we'd be eating our food by that time and they're usually busy. Table beside us ordered one main, later waitress said they didn't have it then he chose another item only to be told later by the chef they didn't have that either. Luckily for me I was only told once they didn't have what I wanted. Food was good as always however the service was poor. Our drinks came after we finished our food as the waitress was too busy conversing with other staff members instead of making our drinks. Then all of the waitresses and manager ignored our drinks that were sitting on the counter for about 5 minutes. Glasses weren't cleaned properly either. I don't usually come to the Werribee location but from now on I'll definitely be sticking to Highpoint location. Shambles.

Very good service amazing food. Huge portions and very good deserts. Amazing pancake of course. Price too high. Good ambience. Can be really crowded during weekends.

Always been a fan of Pancake Parlour but now I have a local we get down here as often as we can. Fast friendly service and food is amazing.
Kids are kept occupied with colourimg and waving to passersby if you get a window booth.

Friendly staff and service was the only good thing about this place. We have been to other locations and the food has been fine, but here it was just really mediocre. The pancakes (which is why we came) weren't very good and slightly too salty, the bacon must have been cooked in a microwave. We won't be going back.

I've been to the Werribee/Hoppers Pancake Parlour twice now. Both times the pancakes have been wonderful and a really generous serve. The thing that I've been most happy about on both occasions is how lovely the staff are. Happy to have a chat with the customer and check in often to make sure everything is ok. I look forward to coming back :)

Visited this lovely restaurant staff very friendly, service excellent and staff always accomodating. Feeling very relaxed and enjoying the strawberry stack for brunch. Large servings very generous. Would recommend to others

The best Pancake Parlour I've been to by far! I always take into account that i do come in on a busy Saturday night and that there will be a slight wait, however despite that, as soon as i entered with my young daughter we were quickly escorted to a table. I asked for a kids menu and was given crayons as well for my daughter. I recieved my meal within 10 mins of ordering which was wonderful knowing there was so many customers. During the time spent at the restaurant i was approached by at least 3 staff asking if i needing anything else and if i was enjoying the meal. I was so overwhelmed as i never experience this type of customer service at any other Pancake Parlour or even at any other restaurant
William
Ridiculously over priced, on public holidays they give you a smaller menu and increase the prices to 'pay their staff fairly', along with all the other food places that don't jack up their prices. Staff constantly come to the table asking if you want more and if it was good, sure it's good customer service but getting asked multiple times in a short amount of time is nothing short of annoying, you don't feel welcome to stay after your meal is finished. Prices for what you get are an absolute joke, would much prefer to fork out $2 and make way more pancakes than I can eat

The pancake parlour is new at Werribee however it is very dirty. The waitress' were pushy and the staff forgot about our 2 glasses of wine (took 20 minutes to pour and deliver 2 glasses of wine) - when another waiter came around to ask if we were ready to order our meals we reminded him that our beverages had still not arrived and he advised that they were very busy and only had 1 female staff member taking care of the bar.

- On a positive note the pancakes were delicious and fluffy and the bananas had a beautiful caramelisation, the chicken was also tasty and filling.

The table did not have maple syrup.. we had to pinch it from another table (staff were not attentive) and they were very stingy on napkins. The waiter took our order with dirty glasses and plates in his arms (was in a rush and looked flustered) from the previous table he cleared (very unprofessional). The staff member was not happy to provide the option to split our bill, but he said that due to the restaurant not being overly busy he would do it as a once off.

The staff are young and inexperienced and have no quality customer service skills. When you are paying $30 for a main meal and $18 for a cocktail you expect exceptional service, Its not like your ordering a happy meal....
I Will return for the great pancakes but expect better service and less attitude..

Read a few reviews and thought I would try it for myself to see if it was really that bad. Big mistake like all the other reviews it was pretty bad. I got the chicken Parma with a side of fries and the sauce tasted like spew and chips were soggy not what I expected for almost $30. My partner had a Caesar salad witch tasted bland the drinks were alright but not worth the price.

Extremely average experience, would not recommend and would not return. A friend and I had to go to the front of the restaurant to actually ask if someone could serve us after sitting there for 20 minutes, then our drinks came 20 minutes later and were already finished by the time our food came, a further half an hour later on an average (not so busy) Tuesday night. The waitress even asked 'are you still waiting for your food?' With just 4 of us eating, we did not expect it to take so long. There was a bug in our table water, which we had to once again get up to ask for, two of our orders were wrong and we couldn't wait to leave. Extremely disappointing.

Disgusting. The cutlery was filthy on my last two visits. Food remains visible without removing the knife and fork from the serviette wrapping. Out of six sets, three where dirty.
The staff looked very uninterested in serving or being there at all.

I just went to pancake parlour and I can't believe what a manager was wearing omg I don't even the a dishwasher would wear it jeans with holes on the back pockets stains on them a blue shirt that looks faded from a clothes line jeans far too tight and crutch hanging right down scruffy plus and a waitress wearing short length pants with blund tone boots and worn crutch my god get your managers and staff looking like they want a job.
Nicole
Average in every way. Prices high. Food quality bland and loveless. Salad overdressed. Potatoes overcooked and buttered. Pancakes ok. Drinks ok. Many more much better options nearby. Won't be in a hurry to return.
