Walked into this little gem of a restaurant last Monday with my wife, we gazed at the menu in awe to find dishes that we haven't eaten for a while and are hard to find locally. We ordered the GOAT BONE SOUP, THE VEG MEALS, THE NON VEG MEALS AND THE FISH FRY. When the food came out the aroma of the spice and fresh ingredients filled our stomach and then came the taste of the food, like we remembered the exact same taste of authentic south Indian food we used to eat back home. It was like one of our grandmothers was cooking for us in the kitchen. Absolutely fantastic. To top it off we had a filter coffee each and that was just the icing on the cake. Since Monday we have gone back on Thursday and Sunday , will be eating at this place very often and will surely be recommending this place to every soul I know. Lovely to have a local place to eat at which feels like home. Thanks guys you are doing a great job. Good service and great food. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Food was good. But the place was not that clean hence 4 star. Ambience could have been better.

An Authentic South Indian treat. Interiors are beautiful and clean. Amazingly its very reasonably priced. We went with our kids couple of times during weekends, it is child friendly. It does get busy but food is worth the wait and well presented. The staff were courteous and approachable even during busier times. Would highly recommend. Excellent Service.

My boyfriend and i had a bit of a late dinner here. The waitress who served us went out of her way to come outside the restaurant and explain the menu as we were just having a look. Didn’t catch her name but she was lovely and kept checking up on us throughout our meal. The staff is super friendly and the food was delicious! 10/10 overall. Definitely will return for more.

A horrible experience! Being served by students who could not care less about either the service or the food, our evening was completely ruined by bland food and packaged indian bread! We specifically asked if our two curries had different sauce before ordering, however what came was basically chicken and mutton in the same gravy. When we complained, the waitress refused to agree or make any changes. A completely avoidable place!

After a long search for proper South Indian meals, must say this place is really good! Best non veg meals we've had in Melbourne, plus biryani was amazing. Ambience and service are great too.

Few items good and rest very average.

Been here on the last weekend. The restaurant was quite busy. However, appreciate the speed in the service. The mutton sukka was delicious. The bowl it was served in was too cute. However, while coming to mains, they were not great. The chicken chettinadu was not spicy despite of mentioning that we need it spicy. Great Service by the wait staff.

Amazing service, authentic South Indian food and great ambience all under one roof at Anjappar Werribee. Biryani is highly recommended and so are the chicken fry and filter coffee. Had a great evening in this amazing place and will come back for more.

Large place for groups or a quick meal as each dish is around $10-15.
Heaps of Vego choices and the chef can accommodate different dietary requirements with most curries.
Ordered the Vego curry with creamy sauce and it came with mostly cauliflowers and carrots. It was a bit spicy but quite tasty. Somehow lost the photos taken but just imagine a small bowl filled with orange colored sauce with veggies immersed in it.
Meals were served quite fast and the waiters were friendly and very attentive.
The toilet floor was really sticky and needed a good clean.
While we were eating, one of the waiters started to mop the floor and drew our attention to the dirty floor covered with footprints. Suggest that they mop before they open the door!!

Went to this place for dinner and the food did not add any pleasure to our dinning experience... chicken 65 was wired, dosa was ok but sambar was not good. May be we didn't had an experience of chettinad style food... but the food was not up to the mark as we generally have visited loads of South Indian food outlets. I am sorry but the two stars are for the very polite and well behaved staffs + good decor and decent ambiance. Its difficult for me to say that I will revisit this place again as per my last food experience.

Very rarely I would give someone a bad review but unfortunately for this restaurant I am struggling to find a positive. A big waste of money.

Was very pleased with the whole experience. The thali meal, the noodles and the biryani were better than expected.Β Enjoyed the food. Would recommend this place to anyone who appreciates a good meal moderately priced.

Been thinking to try Anjappar from quite some time and finally visited the newly opened Werribee branch.
Firstly the restaurant is very spacious, perfectly suitable for families. Nice ambience, the staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Tried the vegetarian thali, chapati along with Ennai kathrikkai ( Eggplant Masala). All these items were very yummy πŸ˜‹ and delicious. The portions for thali were good . Felt that Ennai kathrikkai curry portion is less for a main course curry.

Overall it was a good experience and would like to try many more authentic South Indian dishes soonπŸ˜€
Definitely a perfect addition to Manor lakes/Werribee restaurant stack.
