Review Ghazal Indian Restaurant - Werribee

Mike Shah
Ghazal Buffet is good and the staff on the floor are very responsive, and efficient, though they were very busy considering the crowd. Highly recommend to all for specially Indian cuisine and spices and for Melbourne.

Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, which looked more like Kadahi Chicken with normal chicken pieces not the chicken tikka pieces and capsicum etc. When called they justified saying they don't use chicken tikka pieces in chicken tikka masala (but just the normal pieces) and it is just about the gravy in chicken tikka 'masala' not the pieces!!...I was amazed at their explanation...very disappointed. Everywhere else I have eaten chicken tikka masala included proper char grilled chicken tikka pieces in it. Experience with chicken tikka masala without chicken tikka was not so good. Attached are photos of so called chicken tikka masala. Ordered via ubereats.

We had the buffet on Fri, but it seems the restaurant wasn't ready for more customers as there were variety of food but most of the food got finished when we came, and we were given fried chicken instead of tandoori. Would prefer next time, more snacks and preparation.
Mohit Rau
Had the unlimited dinner buffet here. Good food and music. Ample space and amazing customer service with courteous staff. Totally worth the money. Found the veg food better than non veg food. Variety of options for veg and non veg.

Worst restaurant I've ever been to, reservation was confirmed however when we went to the restaurant there was a birthday party and staff mentioned no reservation under my name. But later on they found out reservation was there. Music was too loud. If you want to have a peaceful family outing dont ever go to this place. There is nothing good about this place. Worst food, staff, ambiance etc. Not recommending at all.

We ordered chicken 65 and hyderabadi dum biryani and I would like to say that you guys first really need to eat a good hyderabadi dum biryani from chilli India or pulav place to understand how dum biryani looks or tastes like. And chicken 65 was so salty that we couldn't eat anything. Such poor experience we had on Friday evening.

Staff was good but food was not only terrible but it was off too. It seemed to be stale and overly spicy. No taste or flavour but just poor preparation by someone who seemed to have no clue! My wife and I both got horribly sick after eating and I was throwing up for two consecutive days and did not eat anything for 3 days after this horrible experience.

DON’T GO. Worst management, pathetic customer service & food WAS OK. Yesterday we went to celebrate an occasion with 27 people by booking in advance. While we were enjoying our gathering and started with our dinner, restaurant started playing extremely loud music for some other group. The volume was extremely loud louder then any pubs & DJ parties we have ever been. We requested to turn the volume down but manageable kept on arguing with us.

Worst experience ever, tasteless curries, oily fried fish, watery sweet dish (kheer). <br/>Low quality food, not worth wasting money.
Anka
I was invited here for a birthday party event. I was disappointed with the food. Soggy, oily and flavours were below average. Maybe because it was a buffet style and food can be made average. This one was below standards.
Mithil Chawla
The food tasted great, though their was a lack of service. Multiple times the food was cold. But we didn't have any troubles with finding seats n all. Though overall I enjoyed<br/><br/>

Ordered at 6.30pm online via their website hadnt arrived by 7.30 so called them to see whats happening and they didnt even recieve my order but i had gotten a confirmation email. They said itd be here in 20 minutes and arrived at around 8. Absolutely unacceptable as i live a 2 minute drive from the restaurant. Delievery driver was unapologetic and in the end was a complete waste of money because the food was beyond average. Will never go or order here again and i suggest you dont either! Horrible customer service and food.

Visited this restaurant for the second time in a row because of the quality of the food, menu options and it’s ambience. Buffet menu is great with a range of food options. In addition, this place is also suitable for any parties like kids birthdays etc. <br/><br/>Highly recommend this place. Affordable yet high quality standards.

Delicious Indian food. Enjoy one of the Biggest Live Buffet here. Highly recommended if you are Looking to explore wide range of entree's and curries. One of my favourite place in Western Suburb of Melbourne. Thanks for providing excellent service and Authentic food.

Celebrate my Daughter 4th birthday and was very happy with their hospitality and Delicious Food, Authentic Curries and wide range of entrees options. Highly recommended if you are looking to Host party in western suburb of Melbourne. Value for money

Went there for buffet last night, They took a long time to replenish the food, All the curries, just had curry and hardly any meat. The starters just had lots of onions and capsicum with hardly any meat. The Butter Chicken tasted like the sauce was out of a bottle and so did the other curries and the Dessert Gulab Jamun too. This place is a disaster. Cheap Buffet but Zero Quality!!!

Went to dinner with my wife and kid and went with the buffet option. The choices were good, food was tasty and had a good time. The place has a nice ambiance.
#alwayshungry
Had takeaway butter chicken and rice. Butter chicken was quite flavourless, it is definitely catered towards the western tongue. The rice was also really plain with no saffron which is normally standard at Indian restaurants. Service was friendly.
Suruchi Jethalia
A play buffet restaurents..went twice same options for starters whether a weekday or weekend...food is decent...if you guys like butter naan call for a normal naan they put butter on that as well while if you call for butter naan it's loaded with butter inside out..don't waste extra dollars on butter naan
MadaboutFood
Good range of Menu with so many starter options and wide range of main course!! Good to visit if ur a foodie and want to have a taste of everything... goat, chicken, fish (starter), paneer, malai kofta, dal makhni, and many Nans are soft and good. Staffs are very polite and pay attention to you personally!! The only reason i give 3 star is though the menu is vast but i was not so impressed by the taste or deliciousness of the items especially curries! They can improve on that may be and i will be happy to upgrade my score ( after my next visit)

The worst experience of Dining in my entire life, Tasteless food, Useless sevice and who plays this LOUD music in a restaurant? We asked waitress to turn down the volume because everyone of us got irritated with loud music including 2 young kids of my friend, waitress replied "We have got DJ booked for Birthday Party "...I mean are you kidding me?...We and other customers were in your restaurant to have our dinner and enjoy our meal, Its not a pub and we are not there to listen to DJ Music...Music was so loud that we cudn't even talk to eachother, kids started crying...To make it worst, those DRUNK customers started shouting, dancing in front of all of us and they were controlling the volume and as you can imagine what and how they would have behaved...I would never recommend this reataurant to anyone
Sammy
We got takeaway chicken biriyani from this place. The rice was undercooked and had chicken pieces in there with no flavour at all. This probably was the least favourite biriyani we’ve had in recent past. The average rating is have given is only because this place is also moonlights as a hosting place for small event and some of the food served in them is ok.

This restaurant was recommended by one of my colleague who stay in the same area where the restaurant is located, so yup, I drove there on one fine evening to try out myself how it is.<br/><br/>We were a group of 4 and we made reservation an hour prior. Most of the time there would be any party scheduled and gathering, so recommend you to make prior booking. Street parking available in abundance, so chill there. When we entered, we felt like we entered Indian restaurant from some portal, all the things you see are Indanized. They had a spacious seating, not soo comfortable but when once you started munching on the food items, you won't notice that anyway. The place may get crowded in weekend, because when we hogged at that time, the whole place was full. <br/><br/>A very valuable suggestion, before making up your mind to head to Ghazals, make sure you have enough appetite to make justice for food you have, they have ample varieties of starters and main course. There is no point in ordering al-acarte as most of the items in the menu are already laid down as part of buffet. Also it is an overhead for kitchen to prepare it in small quantity for an individual.<br/><br/>In terms of food, it was very good, yummy and most of all it was rich in terms of flavours, taste and unlimited quantity.<br/><br/>The price per person is 25 AUD. As I said before to make justice for both food and price, have an empty stomach.

Really enjoyed coming here! Great friendly service, plenty of yummy vegetarian food and awesome atmosphere. Wish I had come here earlier we will be back!

We were searching for some food Indian food while returning from Ballarat. Though Werribee is bit out of way this restaurant caught our attention. Don't find much buffet restaurant in Melbourne.<br/><br/>A good buffet priced at $24. Good mix of veg and non vegetarian. Though they seems to have tune down the spices (for Ozzie taste) food is good.<br/><br/>Nice decoration and sitting could be improve. Love to come back if they are hosting ghazal mehfil.<br/><br/>

When I walked I had high hopes but everything about this place was disappointing. I had the buffet, the entrees were stale, most of the dishes were empty. The curries were extremely greasy. The food just didn't seem right, tasted off. Will never go there again.
SHAZZA A
The staff are friendly. The entres are good portion a. tasty but the mains such sure korma and butter chicken is horrible.it lacks lot of Indian flavour.<br/>When there once and wasn't returning back again.
Spaghetti Monster
Friendly service, a good variety of tasty dishes and good vfm. My favourite dishes were the chilli chicken, lamb rogan josh, goat curry and the potato cakes. The carroty dessert was awesome too. The butter chicken was a little too sweet for my taste but my wife and children loved it. Will definitely eat here again.
Ruruhona1
<br/><br/>Service - appalling. If you ever order take away add an extra 10-20 mins on top of what the goon on the phone says normally about 40 minutes average. <br/><br/>Don't get me wrong the food is good, everyone has their own taste buds. <br/><br/>Service lets them down.
Didula Wijesuriya
Really good service and good food. I'm not going to say the food was great but it was pretty decent. The gulab jamun was actually great. Great atmosphere and highly recommend.

I booked here for a special function, over eight weeks ago through Quandoo, as no one would answer the phone at Ghazal. I followed that up with an email, outlining some particular requirements. Concerned that I'd had no direct contact, I rang them on the day, to discover they were now closed for a private function and claimed to have no booking. They acknowledged receiving my email, but felt it wasn't worth replying to. Staff were incredibly rude over this. I can accept the booking going wrong, these things happen, but to simply ignore the follow up email as well, is unforgivable. <br/>I suggest you do what we did, and dine at the Crown of India, over the road.

Great buffet nights everyday of the week . Relaxed eatery and a laid back authentic Indian dining experience . They have predominantly North Indian cuisine and love the butter chicken here ... their starters are also one of a kind .

So I have been there twice now.  The first time was around Xmas day or Boxing day, and on entry it was a bit off putting with the glares we anglo saxon folk got from the Indian fraternity dining away in there, but we were greeted well and shown the back area of the store.<br/><br/>We went for the all you can eat option, and why the choices of things I like, yeah I admit I am particular, was limited, as there was only three dishes I liked, Curry, Butter and Chilli chicken, they were all nice!   <br/><br/>The kids seen to enjoy it, and for the price you buy I suppose it is reasonably well compered to any other Indian eatery where you order specific menu items.<br/><br/>The server we had both times, was nothing but polite, almost entertaining.  <br/><br/>I like it and would venture back again.
Tanny Cheema
Pathetic food. Today ordered takeaway plain naans for dinner. Firstly, wrong order handed over by staff ( instead of plain Naans, butter Naans were given). Secondly, Naans were stale n ice cold. It looked as it is 2-3 days old. Very Very dispointed.. Would never visit this place again.
Sss
Worst Indian food i ever had. Chiken tikka masala was sweet n daal was uncooked. Cheap rates n cheap food. Very poor. And bread garlic naan had a problem i.e no garlic.
Karishma-b
Average food. Went there with my family. Food was average. Entre was probably better than main and dessert. The main curries lacked authentic flovour and seemed very much either too sweet and articial. Some how the food didnt seem fresh and sizzling. The dessert was a major let down with 3 options and not one of them was pleasant. Service was poor. They really need to work on the flavours of the food and make it welcoming
Anonymous
Average food, wouldn't be going back or recommending this place !!!. I recently had been to Ghazal for the buffet and the food was pretty average. The butter chicken was watery and too sweet, the naan were like chapatis and the chicken curry was like home made curry minus the flavour. The vegetarian dishes were alright. The starters were bland and lacked flavour.<br/><br/>The restaurant needs to focus on getting a better chef rather than have around 20 dishes that are of average taste!!<br/><br/>Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I won't be going back again!!
Suzette
Great food. Thanks for the great food and service was well worth it.

Best food coma. My partner raves about this place and always come with friends. My first time.<br/>We arrived shortly after opening so we would get the food freshly put in the buffet trays.<br/>We had entrees, mains and dessert and also ordered sweet and standard naan bread.<br/>All food was fresh and so tasty.<br/>Recommend the tempura vegetable entree and butter chicken.<br/>Saved the tiniest room for dessert and for good reason. The sweet balls were delicious.
Devot345
Dinner. The main course was really delicious. However the desserts can be improved. The ambiance is excellent. Definitely worth a second outing.

Worst restaurant and worst worst worst ever place I have ever seen. We booked a party for our little one's birthday and food was terrible and unhealthy and worst ...<br/><br/>Apart from that some other people drunk and shouting loudly and they started DJ inside even after having infants with other customer ...<br/><br/>Worst food , worst service , worst place ....
Gfnsdkjnfjhzb
Very disappointed. We went to Indian buffet on a Sunday and the food was terrible. I never tasted Indian food that bad. Customer service was even worst. The waitresses never smiled and were very rude. We are never going back there again. What a waste of money that was.
Anjjj82
Went for dinner here last night, entrees were all cold, I told the waitress but nothing was done about it! The mains weren't great all I had was the butter chicken with the rice. The service was terrible, had to ask 2 different waitresses for the same thing, won't be coming back here.

Good food and catered to special dietary with a smile.. Good food and great options . I can't eat Nan bread due to health reasons which was replaced with Roti bread " whole meal flour " which was really a great touch . We go there very often ,always enjoyed . Greatly recommended . Only suggestion is to revamp the menu , we are regulars and been visiting the restaurant last two years .over all very good.
Deanricho_1999
Festivus - Still no such thing as bad Indian. I expect food to be not as good when its buffet style<br/>This was not the case<br/>Exellent dishes and plenty of options<br/>Butter chicken....yes please

Good food and Great atmosphere. It was my first time at ghazal and I loved it and enjoyed every moment there ! definitely recommended and will be coming back again...

Won't Buy Again. The delivery was late, and we had to walk the street to find the delivery man. The food was all cold. The vindaloo was not "hot" as we ordered it, and the lamb was inedible - it was all fat. The chicken in the saagwalla and the butter chicken was fine if you didn't look at it, but if you did look at it, it was very wrong looking. The paneer tikka was just cheese with some colour smeared onto it - it had no flavour and was not cooked at all. The pappadums were all stone cold. The rice and naan were okay though. We tried to call the restaurant many times and couldn't get on to anyone.

Best indian restaurant in the west.. Wonderful and Yummiest and fresh food , every dish was up to the mark . amazing variety , and staff has been very friendly . prefer little more deserts variety . overall the best indian I have found . I was surprised that they serve ala carte and thali as well. definetly coming back and will try those as well. but buffet is the best . Go ghazal!
Jatinder
Worst experience ever.. Buffet dishes were empty. Food was cold. Bad customer service . When I complained , staff didn't say sorry..
GetFat
Ok food, good service. I've definitely had better curries, a lot better. But Ghazal buffet has a good variety of tasty food, and plenty of it. Very welcoming and friendly service. Large restaurant so you could bring a goup. If they could improve the quality of the food this place would be very high on my list. Having said that, I ate so much I needed help getting back to the car! <br/>I'll be coming back for more, but not too soon.
Rossco
Awesome! Anyone who complains is a crook! Great food, great service, even though they're shy they're very friendly and happy! 5 stars

Been there once very very bad food.<br/>Customer service is worst they don't even say hi hello to anyone.<br/>Staff there always charges extra.<br/>Very arrogant .<br/>No proper customer service at all.<br/>Not recommended for any time
Smitap982
Awful!!!. This might be the worst restaurant in town! Prices are too high for the quality of food you get. Service is really bad... waste of money...

Worst Experience Ever!!!. I took my wife to GHazal on her birthday , thinking that it would be a great dinner. As soon as I got in there , I releasied its buffet night , Never mind we thought lets give it a Shot...<br/>So we picked our plated and going through to diff items , <br/>I had some cheese curry and chicken dildar .As soon as I put a peice of chicken in my mouth , I could not believe it . it taste like SH**T and I smelled it and it was stinking very bad as if its been made out of expired chicken. I can;t believe it.<br/>I called the waitress and she said to speak with owner . owner was too busy to talk to someone else bout some booking and completely ignored me..NEVERTHELESS YOU CAN NOT SERVE EXPIRED FOOD TO YOUR CUSTOMER ON THE PREXET OF BUFfETT. WHAT IS POINT OF HAVING 7 CURRIES WHEN THEY STINK AND MADE LIKE CRAP.<br/>NEVER NEVER NEVER...Being an Indian i think this is def the WORST INDIAN restaurent i ever been too...just AVOID...or try it once and you wonlt go there next time.
Kavy
Crap food. If u wanna sick urself go there
Shanthi
Terrible quality , never going to this place again.
Iqbal_sr
Worst food ever. I visited a Diwali function in Werribee today and happened to visit their stall. I had channa bhatura, Allo tiki and lassi, and the verdict is ..never eating in their restaurant ever. Food was bad, quantity was less and it was over priced. I cant understand there food was very good when they opened their restaurant few years go..don't know whats happened to them

Bellymaster. My wife and i have been living in the western suburbs of Melbourne for just over a year. Ghazal Restaurant is conveniently located to us and we have dined there, together with others, on numerous occasions.<br/>The place is usually packed when we go and I am quite astonished to read the bad reviews that have been posted.<br/>Is there some conspiracy to harm the trade of this restauranteur ?<br/>Now, it's true that we haven't dined at many Melbourne Indian restaurants so we are unable to compare the offerings. There might, indeed, be finer dining but.........without comparison I can only say that we have absolutely thoroughly enjoyed every single dish at Ghazals' Werribee. We've tried them all - and I can assure you that we'll keep going back. The price is modest. the restaurant is clean with a good ambience and we have never received anything but good service - which, face it - is really only the removal of dishes from your dining table.<br/>A thoroughly good dining experience to which we look forward regularly. This coming Saturday we'll be there again.<br/>Having said all of the above, I should mention that my wife and I have travelled extensively in India and virtually lived there for well over a year and a half.<br/>Some posters have complained about the lack of authentic Indian fare. Of course...that may be true but we never ate such delicious food when we were India.<br/>Onya ! Ghazals.
Dee
Oh no they didn't!. I'm sure most of you know the difference between fresh and frozen cubed vegetables... and know the difference between plain naan and garlic naan. Frozen vegetables taste faintly like what they are supposed to but mostly just taste like nothing. I don't pay for shortcuts, especially when I have to wait as long as I did. Don't bother.
Caitlin
Never going back. I went here with a group of people for a special occasion and none of us will ever go back. The food was luke warm at best, the naan was cold, paneer rubbery, none of the dishes had signs of what they were in front of them and the staff had no idea what was there. Wouldn't reccomend to anyone.
Dick Richards
Indian all you eat? oh golly gosh yes!. You can tell a great Indian restaurant by the number of Indians who eat there....and a LOT of Indians eat at Ghazal!<br/><br/>First thing you need to know is that BYO is acceptable, even though it is not mentioned on their website. <br/><br/>Second thing is BOOK ahead. Ghazal gets packed!<br/><br/>I had never been to an all you eat Indian buffet before, and to be honest I was expecting an Indian version of Smorgies or FoodStar. I can happily advise that Ghazal is NOT akin in ANY way to either of those establishments.<br/><br/>Entrees, mains and deserts are all there, and all are of an excellent quality and extremely tasty.<br/><br/>Your choice of roti or plain naan is also included in the buffet price. Flavoured naan or puri is available at an additional cost (but I must admit that the puri I ordered had been compressed before I received it, and personally I love seeing a ballooned puri so I know it has been well kneaded).<br/><br/>Unlike all the other foodstuffs, the roti/nann/puri is NOT all you can eat. It is made specifically for when you want to commence eating mains, and is delivered to your table at that time.<br/><br/>Decor is pleasing to the eye. Tables are sturdy and well presented with cutlery and napkins. The dining chairs were too deep (as in almost lounge chair depth) to my liking, but were still comfortable (especally after eating and just chillaxing). My only issue was that there was not enough space between the tables. I physically had to stand and place my chair under the table to allow baby prams to pass.<br/><br/>Service was very nice. Not only were the staff pleasant, they also took time to explain how the buffet operated; removed used plates quickly and efficiently; always had a smile on their face. <br/><br/>All in all I would highly recommend Ghazal. A++
Mike Hunt
Given it is a buffet I was actually surprised at how good the food was! The wait staff are a tad lazy, but still probably the best indian eatery in watton st.
BabyJohn
Having arrived on a Saturday night, I was amazed to be asked if I had a booking as we were the only customers. We were surprised when the place soon filled up. Service is hit & miss, staff are more interested in being wallflowers. The good was good, they had their full selection on offer & it was constantly being refreshed from the kitchen, the chilli chicken was a hit (it needs way more chilli). If you want the full Indian experience, there are better places in Melbourne but if all you want is a good meal without too much fuss - this place is for you.
Adelina Ferla
Poor Service. Went there for dinner tonight. Food was ok but talk about lazy waitresses. Honestly, i felt as though i was intruding on their quiet time. Both waitresses were just standing there with their hands behind their backs and almost looked annoyed when i had to call one of them over. Big Smile on their faces but not really willing to serve us. Food was ok, was much better when it first opened. i will go there again, but not in a mad hurry
Nikki Ballard
Wont be returning. Good value for money but did not enjoy any of the dishes at all, service was great, just not for me
Deepak Dahiya
Worst service I had ever , never go to this place specially in busy nights , no food will be available in buffet , u just hv to pay for lining up in queue to get good and u won't get any, disappointing experience , will never come back

They served burnt food on the buffet .. Not ever going back there.. Bad experience...

SHAME....FAKE INDIAN FOOD. What a shame ....guys what do you expect when you go out for dinner with your family ? a good experience.unfortunately this restaurant lacks in all those things. Being an indian I can definately say that this restaurant serves stale and recycled food .All of us got really sick since we have had dinner at ghazal.I totally agree with rahul who has left has left a negative review about ghazal and has suggested that they should change their name. Please guys dont be decieved by their buffet deal, coz not everything that is cheap is good . there is always a catch .....and here its there non indian, stale and recycled food .
Rahul
Please change the name of restaurant because ghazal is very beautiful name and that restaurant not deserve that name and my request to manager indian food is famous for their quality please don't put them down in the front of Melbourne.
M
Pretty good Indian. Buffet for $23. Good variety of dishes, meat tasted quite fresh, nice atmosphere inside. No hot drinks (e.g. Tea, chai) unfortunately. Pretty good value, all considered.
Rimpy
Awesome. Lovely food with great variety || Great Ambiance || Love this place. Highly recommend this place.

Best Party We had. We organized the first birthday party of our daughter on Saturday night. Our most our guests were from eastern suburbs and they were very impressed with the overall experience they had. The restaurant allowed us to bring our own drinks and also arranged a DJ for just $250.... It was a great and memorable night we had... Thanks To Ghazal staff for making it happen. Deb
Food Lover
Hate it. I heard a lot about this joint but when I went there, I just completely disappointed.<br/><br/>I am not a great fan of buffet so when I went there, I asked if I can chose something from the menu and order that but staff just said NO. They asked me to take it away, if I wanna do that, but I can't dine in.<br/><br/>Cheap price wise but why would you even bother to pay $24.95 per person, if you don't even like the food. I just had to wait when will they top up with fresh food but felt like an idiot.<br/><br/>No taste difference between Afghan Chicken and Chilli Chicken. Main dish of Goat was just bones, no meat.<br/><br/>I would never recommend this place to anyone in my life. I just hope that people who own this place, please read the comments here and do something.
Lucy Gatt
Unhealthy and nasty food. We went for the lunch buffet on a sunday for $14.90 p.person. the buffet menu only had choices and we were told to order a naan bread from 5 options if we wanted. Basically the food was all deep fried and battered. there was only 1 meat dish, chilli chicken, the rest was chickpeas, everything had potato in it or flour and that was it. we also ordered 'mineral water' as per the drinks menu and we got a Coles brand bottled water served! we only had 1 plate of food and left, not worth eating all the unhealthy food. Would not recommend this place unless you're looking for a heart attack.
Brad Burton
Never again. Lol vish is obviously owner of ghazal. no need to take offence mate if people dont like your food everyone has a right to opinion and my opinion is chef isnt indian i dont know what nationality he is nor do i care but i do know he cant cook! and a tip vish, dont yell at your staff in view of customers it doent look real good mate

Mmmmm Ghazals!. Love it when im there, pay for it the next day, as any all u can eat doers to you, next day want to go back. I was very suprised when i got a sms last night to advertise specials, go guys thats great. With out being rude should be $20 every day, thats great value, any more than that I would nt pay, Id rather al a carte elsewhere. Do like the variety!
Anna
Worst customer service/staff. We booked for 20 for sunday, 4 weeks prior, we get a acll on thursday saying we have double booked u must change the date. Being a work christmas party it was hard to reschedule on such short notice. We did so, we arrived asked for a high chair, never came, asked for drinks just soft drinks 20 minutes later still no drinks! we asked for nann brad 45 minutes later after everyone had finished dinner and we had already paid the bill it finally came. Paid the bill as we were being stared at to leave now, NO THANKYOU NO COME AGAIN.. as we were leaving they finally brought out our nann bread.... food was not so good. NEVER returning there again.... 20 people had dinner and drinks and not even a thank you. the indians around us got all the attention as we were not of indian origin we were treated like outcasts...Disgusting...

Visit at your own risk. As pointed out in other reviews, this place serves recycled food, no concept of freshness whatsoever. Lots of dishes but most are below average. Arrogant owners who could not care less about customers. How do they continue to stay in business?
Veenaujjwal
Worst Indian restaurant ever. We went to Ghazal for our anniversery. One of the starters was stale. When we complained, their attitude was that they did not really care. Nans were cold, which is unacceptable in a Indian restaurant. Overall, very disappointing experience. Obviously we will never visit again, as there are lots of other Indian restaurants where they do care about their customers.

Lmao. Made me laugh when "hogryder" mentioned the "Indian Chef". Have you met the chef there? He's actually German. I hated the food there and when i met the chef ( On the opening night by the way ) realized he was German! Big shock i can tell you. How could a German possibly cook authentic Indian food? I wouldn't go back just on principle! If anyone goes there ask to speak to the chef! lmao. I personally love Crown Of India but i love most authentic Indian foods. You definitely get what you pay for at Ghazal. Also, because i go to The Crown Of India often i have noticed that Ghazal is pretty much always empty... on Monday they were full but looked like a function.. I'd like to go again, maybe they have come to their senses and hired a decent chef but i don't think i'll risk it. Unless someone can tell me honestly that they are ok now! By the way, I'm an apprentice chef myself and have studied Authentic Indian Cuisine myself and as far as i could tell it all looked like canned sauces with meat marinated in bi-carb and tasted it as well!

Excellent food, decor and value. My husband and had dinner here a month ago. We were quite impressed. Lot of variety and choices. Dessert needs a little improvement and the naan basket needs to be filled for new arrivals. However, everything else was really good. Will definitely be going back.

Susan. Very nice ambience and the food was very flavoursome but after reading the comments regarding this nice resturant and the Crown of India another nice resturant I had a bit of a laugh it sounds as if the opposing resturants are both writing their own reviews They should both relax and realise that both resturants fill a need Though i did notice that the Ghazal resturant had a great many Indian Customers which probably indicates that it caters to more Indian tastes than Western sterotypes all the Indian resturants in Wyndham are great and so is the food . I love the cultural journey . but I do like ice cream at dessert

Chirnsides was never spectacular, but it was never this bad. A group of us (6) went on Friday night, on recommendation....let's just say service was ok but food was horrible. Lots of chicken dishes and not much else, just really really crap food. I was actually quite ill afterwards. Won't be going back - ever!

If you love Indian food, you will LOVE this place!. Lovely interior, nice atmosphere, great and friendly service, a wonderful selection of Entrees and Mains in the buffet (and they are nice and hot!) but don't expect too much for dessert.. in fact, their desserts selection is very basic and quite appalling really but I didn't really care because by then I was already very full and content from my Entrees and Mains. For just over $20 per head - all you can eat - exceptional value!!

Great New Restaurant. I went to this restaurant recently with friend, not knowing it was a buffet-style restaurant. Imagine my surprise when I realised no a-la-carte! Not being a fan of buffets and smorgasbords, I winced, but went up anyway. Well! This is now a favourite place to eat - so much so that the following weekend I went with my family - and now it's my son's favourite restaurant! Great service, lovely food that is kept hot (NOT with heat lamps!) an is replenished often, and the prices are very reasonable.<br/><br/>Only one criticism: they boast a cocktail list but only have three or four different cocktails, and will not make any up (even if you tell them what's in it) nor mocktails.

Gazal is worst place go very rude. I went to gazal on saturday the food was almost finishes and we were asked to sit as they will serve on our table. we almost finished our food then we had the servings on our table which were absolutely fr no use to us as they asked us to leav as it was 10:30 and they wont be serving us breads with the curries. when i went to pay the bill i told the manager that i am really unhappy with the kind of service i got today i have to get up in the middle of food you could have done better for us to be a repeating customer the best answer i could have ever heard from some one in hospitality or customer service was we cant do anything about it.....if u r unhappy either this person doesnt knw what is customer service or he has reached to a limit where he thinks we as a customer are idiot and he will do what he likes to do with customer when i complained to other senior manager he was also rude they are incompetent to be in the industry tastes comes after that they should go to uni or learn some manners...

Very helpful and courteous staffs and good selection of Indian food.

Unfriendly, Rude and Unprofessional Quality & Service. The staff is really rude and very unprofessional. This goes specially for the Manager.<br/>The Bread was served after 10-15 minutes. Also the Bill was incorrectly Charged, There were no children and they had put a charge for 3 Children (Extra $36). When pointing out the mistake, instead of correcting the Bill and apologizing, the Manager argued. He really needs to learn his Customer Service Skills.<br/>VISITING THIS PLACE IS HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED AND AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Preveliged!. What can I say. I went to GHAZAL on 19th for the VIP dinner. Met the GHAZAL's living legend Shri JAGJIT SINGH JI. It was the best experience of my life to have met him there. The owner was very kind to get me take an autograph with Jagjit Singh Ji and also a photograph. I know that Jagjit Singh Ji only visits the restaurant which is the best. He is very choosy and Im sure that GHAZAL restaurant is something special hence, he came over. Food was excellent & so was the staff service. Very friendly. <br/>I went again with my family to make my mother sit on the chair Shri Jagjit Singh Ji sat and dined. Again the owner was so kind to have given the chair for my mother to sit. We felt very good. I will highly recommend this place to my friends & family and will give first prioprity to any other restaurant. <br/><br/>Patel & Family

Food Court meets Restaurant. This is the first and last time I will be visiting this restaurant. The aroma when we walked in to this fantastic looking restaurant was inviting, however smell and looks can be deceiving. This is a buffet style restaurant wich in my opinion fails dismally. The entrees were luck warm only. There seemed to be a great variety to choose from with the mains, including a few vegetarian dishes. The chichen dishes were nice, however the meat in the lamb and beef dishes were inedible as it was so tough. Not a pleasant experience. Two desserts were on offer instead of the advertised three and they were not the best. I normally don't have any trouble digesting Indian food, however I did not recover from this meal for 2 days. Avoid this place!

Set Buffet. We had dinner last week and experince wasn't good. entree in buffet was cold but for the price of$18.00 can't expect more. Buffet is good for the price but I actuly prefer<br/>Angeethi In wyndham vale it is fine dinning without big price tag.

Mel. Ghazal was a great place to eat with great food. Couldn't fault the staff as they were very helpful, and easy to understand. The surroundings were beautiful and it was a very comfortable to place to sit and have a meal with friends. We have already recommended it to several of our friends and will be going back very soon.
