Review Lux Afghan Kebab - Werribee

Will we go back? Probably not. We waited nearly 45 min with no updates. When we followed up, we were told that they've not started on our order because the order slip dropped and no one knew. No one thought to check in on the table that was empty for 45 min. When the food finally arrived, they looked so promising, massive portions! After waiting for over an hour (yes, we waited!), we really wanted it to be good. However, it wasn't very flavourful at all. There were traces of herbs and spices but it tasted "diluted". ☹️ We were so disappointed since we decided to come here due to the great reviews.

Heard and read about this place for a while and finally got around to ordering. Had the mixed kebab, lamb qorma and bread. Generous portion sizes.The meat was silky, melt in your mouth tender and well cooked. Well flavoured as well. There was just something missing in the flavour of the bread though which was a bit of a let down.

Very juicy and tender charcoal bbq chicken, meat and mince was ok but not as good as the chicken. Manti (Afghan dumpling) was good, the kids loved it. Kids also enjoyed the papaw rice, I loved the bread. The Afghan place on Sunshine is slightly better and therefore I give this place 4 stars and not give. It should be 4.5 but google doesn’t allow that.

Had dinner with friends as our first official dinner outing since Victoria lockdown 5.0 restrictions were eased, my wife loves this place. It is very affordable and the dinner serving size is very generous. The quality of the food was even better. Great dine in atmosphere. The staff were wonderful and service was very good. The restaurant also complies with government COVID19 guidelines with QR code too. Worth a visit .

A plater of delicious #Afghan food, enough for family to share. 😋 🇦🇫 Everything was delicious, freshly prepared and generous portion. We had a takeaway and the food was really tasty. I really liked Mouth watering kebabs and two types of rice. It doesn’t get any better than this! Qabili Palaw, Lamb, Chicken, Fries, Salad, all in one plate to enjoy with family🍱 Would you like to surprise your loved one with Delicious Afghan Food? Then Order Lux Afghan Kebab food (takeaway)! Highly recommended.

This is a halal restaurant very neat, clean, friendly staff, once you start eating there is no way you can stop until you finish everything, I do recommend it highly There a decent car park next to the petrol station adjacent-to it

I bought this juice from there. I didn’t realise it was expired until I finished the whole bottle and start having very bad stomach ache. It was expired on 10/11/2021. Surely they don’t check the expiry dates before selling or they just don’t care . It’s not expired few days back but it expired 19days ago .. how horrible !!!!

I had two incidents with them.<br/>Last year, when I went with my fiend for the first time, have to wait for a while to get seated which was due to a lot of traffic. Having high expectations with food quality and service, it was on the other side of the equator. Food service was terrible. The order came in splits which kept us waiting. The cutlery provided was not cleaned and chipped off. We have to ask for replacement after bringing into their notice. They didn't excuse even.<br/><br/>I was holding this review as I thought I would give them another chance. Maybe they didn't had enough staff that day to take care of customer needs.<br/><br/>But today, I ordered using "menulog" and gave an ample amount of time for delivering food, more than an hour. I called three times after an hour to inquire about status of the order, which they told me that its just been handed over to delivery guy and it will be with me shortly. I waited another half an hour until I started calling them crazily but no answer. Now its been more than two hours since I placed my order and I am still waiting for food to deliver. Menulog web status says its on the way........<br/><br/>SUMMARY: Pathetic service. no sense of customer retention.<br/>FOOD TASTE GOOD BUT WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND OR ANYONE.<br/><br/>I DON"T ABUSE SO WILL LEAVE IT TO OWNER TO APOLOGIZE FOR THIS PATHETIC SERVICE<br/><br/>P.S. Best Lamb Shanks and Kebabs on this side of town!

Great inexpensive fresh Afghan food, freshly baked Afghan bread, clean place, pleasant ambience and jazz music in the background. What more can you expect?!

Let me start by saying what an incredible taste . Great kebabs amazing kebab pulao sorry couldn’t click picture of it . Great afgan bread but just lamb bhuna was a oily rest good was good . I feel if the bhuna wasn’t oily it would have been great Cz the flavour was good . Should try if u fond of kebabs because they were really soft and juicy.
