Welcoming staff who straight up offered a glass of ice cold water on a very hot day in Adelaide. Lovely food to snack on while out riding. Yum will be back.

Scootz on Burbidge Road at West Beach is located on the outside of a small shopping centre complex on Burbidge Road at West Beach. It is the type of cafe that you often find in shopping centres - unpretentious, not aiming at creating a 'vibe' or artistic creative food. It has the elements of a deli, takeaway, road house and cafe - honest food at affordable prices with no hype.
The owner was very friendly and it seemed that many customers were regular as they were greeted by name, sometimes being asked if they wanted 'the usual'. When I left, the owner thanked me for 'calling by'.
The cafe is large with plenty of seating both inside and out. It was clean and well-organised and service was fast. The food was basic - poached eggs on sliced loaf bread with no extras and were soft (as they should be) and the coffee while not top class was certainly drinkable. The pre-prepared food in the cabinet - quiches, sandwiches etc - all looked fresh and well presented.
Summary - service friendly; food - basic good quality (dine in or takeaway); coffee okay. This place is not trying to be anything other than a good suburban cafe - no hype but good service which you often don't find in more upmarket, trendy cafes. Worth a try? If you're more into artisan food and coffee, this is most likely not the place for you. but if prefer basic food at reasonable prices give it a try. Also, the beach is only minutes away!
This is the best cafe in the west. I often pop in for coffees or with kids for a milkshake and have always been very well looked after. The breakfast I had today (Eggs Benedict) was the best breakfast I have had in a very long time - the eggs were cooked to perfection. Fantastic customer service, friendly staff, and great food. I love Scootz!
Nothing not to like. Relaxed and friendly with clean, fresh and generous serves. Good menu choice together with great coffee. Staff are friendly and helpful. Service was good and didn't have to wait too long for our orders.
The best coffee beachside, with excellent food, well presented cafe menu that even my fussy kids live. Catering is well presented and delicious too. Highly recommended for breakfast, lunch, small bits or simply coffee. Their new Friday night dinners are great too, the cafe is also licensed.
Delicious vegetarian breakfast and wraps. Lots of options, Bundaberg ginger beer and mountain fresh juices. My kids loved the milkshake. I recommend this place for freshness and service.
This café is the sort you often find in suburban shopping centres. It is unpretentious, clean and friendly. The poached eggs were cooked properly and served on sliced bread. Coffee was good although not exceptional. This place is not about the 'experience' more about providing good plain food at reasonable prices.
West Beach's hidden gem. Love this place! Great food, great coffee, great service. Very welcoming and relaxing. I even feel at home going there on my own. There’s always someone to chat to. Keep up the great work Guys. X
