Have to say we came last week for pasta n pizza night. N didn't disappoint even my order was wrong they replaced with in 5mins n came back tasting even better.
My husband is very critical of pizzas and was a little sceptical to try the wood oven pizza. To his surprise it was incredible. A light and crisp base with all toppings cooked well. Excellent flavour and he didn’t feel ‘sluggish’ afterwards. We are definitely returning!

Absolutely wonderful experience, we eat there regularly as a family but decided to take family and friends there last night for our sons 18th Birthday. Don our waiter was wonderful and helped make it a great night. Food was excellent, restaurant recently redecorated and staff amazingingly friendly. Going back next week for second sons birthday! Not expensive either.

Our family has been going to Sportivo since it open and we're extremely excited to see the complete renovations. As always, the food is always fantastic, the atmosphere before and now with the new look is amazing and the service from not only our table waiter (who was friendly and attentive) but all team members was outstanding. Sportivo is mine and my husband's absolute favourite restaurant! We go there for every special occasion due to the authentic Italian pizza and the fantastic service. Most times when we go we get served by Dom who is always extremely enthusiastic and makes the best recommendations. Regardless of how busy it is, he (along with the other staff) always makes us feel welcomed and takes the time to have a chat to us. All the food is always delicious and we can't get enough! It's a particularly special location for us as we don't only go there for every birthday, I also went there on my hen's night and the night before my wedding, we'll also be going there for our wedding anniversary next month. We would definitely go there more often, however it's an hour away from us - definitely worth the trip and could not recommend this place enough!
Very good food, good setting along the lake too. Would recommend this venue for a small function or gathering. Were looked after well by waitress in our function area, Prices are also good especially drinks were well priced.
One of the best pizzas iv ever had!! Full of flavour and cooked perfectly! They are not the cheapest but most definitely worth it!! I'm actually quite sad to be heading back to Melbourne, leaving this little gem behind!!
First time i have been to Sportivo's. And i will be going back to try other dishes. Service for the most part was fantastic apart from a waiter from the next table who thought it was ok to attend to them while his bum was presented right in our face. And then was having some disagreement with our waiter about how we were being served. Couldn't figure out what the problem was but was obvious to me something was up. Though he did make sure we were happy and bring us more table water.
Anyway... The interior is nicely presented with a clean design. Our waiter was fantastic. Friendly and courteous. Meals were served quickly though we were early diners that night and it wasn't too busy. Meals we had were both delicious (pizza and crab linguini). Reasonable prices. Close to a 4 but the rear end presentation means a 3.5.
Yummy pizza and great beer. The flavour combination is really yummy. Get in early cause they get busy. Ask for continental loaf garlic bread its better than the pizza base one. Generally we prefer this type. The tiramisu is fantastic just the right combination of sweet and coffee.
Family dining done very well. Yummy food, great menu, friendly staff and great views overlooking the water at West Lakes. Steak was cooked perfectly! Can't wait to go back and try a wood oven pizza :)
Tucked away down Brebner Drive, West Lakes is a hidden gem of an eatery called Sportivo. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, it’s much more than just a stop on your Westfield shopping trip. We popped past for breakfast early one Tuesday morning, and upon entering were instantly greeted with a spectacular view of the gorgeous lake. Though there’s plenty of seating inside, we made a beeline for the courtyard where we could enjoy uninterrupted views in the fresh air.
The western side of Adelaide has been undergoing significant changes recently, with houses and families popping up along the coast and its food culture evolving with it. Sportivo Woodfire Kitchen, a family owned restaurant that was once the first in the area to make wood fire pizzas, has recently gone through significant renovations to both the venue as well as the menu after nine successful years of business. Along with a new chef from Melbourne who has worked with the likes of George Calombaris, Sportivo has refreshed its breakfast and lunch menu to add to their classic pizzas and pastas.

Went for a family lunch on the Sunday. Was quite satisfied with all we ordered. Nothing to complain about at all. Great friendly service and nice location on the lake. Had the Arancini balls for entree which were awesome. Received 3 big balls filled with cheese and smothered in a nice red sauce, thoroughly enjoyed them. Then ordered the Calzone for main. The Calzone, Poppy's specialty!! It was cooked perfectly, covered in nice bolognaise sauce and contained quality fillings and ingredients. My partner had the salt and pepper squid which was cooked nicely and not rubbery. Could have added some chips to the dish though as there was only the squid and salad. We were quite satisfied after the meal. Will be back for great Italian. Thumb up, worth an eat.
My tastebuds were pretty much satisfied with their meat lovers pizza. Everything in it is just so wonderful and it's flavorful. Craving satisfied indeed!!! 💖 I also love the ambiance of this place and eating by the lake makes it more enjoyable.
Been to this establishment more then a handful of times and the food and service AAA+++. I usually order different pasta and it's all so full flavouring and they do some amazing pizzas. Perfect for any occasion with a nice view of the Riverview and out door seating couldn't ask for more good Italian/cafe food

The service was attentive & friendly & the meal was really tasty.
They do take away & eat in. When you book ask for an outdoor table the view over the water is beautiful.
Fantastic food and a pleasent cafe to dine in. Wood oven pizzas are absolutely the best in town. It's the place to go if you're after a meal on this side of town
Really gr8 location. Don't know a better waterfront location. The chef can cook a lovely pasta but my favourite dish is the seafood salad. Definitely give this Italian cafe a try.
Sportivo is a lovely little cafe on the water. It has good food, good service and offers a relaxed atmosphere. We would definately recommend for a casual dinner.

Thankyou mesposito & partner. Thanks mesposito i have invoices from a fruit and veg company where the lettuce comes from and also the carrots and cabbage we grate ourselves, I'll take the heat and ill still keep working in the Kitchen, on pizzas, on the floor and behind the bar. I don't let things like this bother me. I've learn t these days everyone's a expert & or Masterchef and you cant please everyone! I will continue to run this business like i have from ground up for the past 7 years. I thankyou for your feedback and time, you've given me more determination to be better :)

To the previous critic. To the previous critic mesposito all your reviews are all negative everywhere you have been. The warm chicken salad has been a popular dish on our menu and the mustard and honey dressing u think is all 90's, well we still get people commenting and asking for the recipe. All our chicken is char-grilled on the spot FYI as for the pizza we don't need people like you in here we know our pizzas our the best... Thats why we have awards and certificates around the shop stating so :) If it was such a bad experience for you why not tell the manager or staff we always ask our customers if everything was okay, why take the the internet and hind you face... My rant over have a nice day and we hope you don't come back in the future in fact we dont want you too ;)
P.s if you think you can do a better job why not open a cafe of your own and then will try you out. Kind Regards

Great atmosphere and good food made for an enjoyable night at this lakeside café. The pasta and pizza were both delicious and although service was a bit slow, it was definitely worth the wait. Great place for the family.
Brought all the family for casual Sunday lunch. Everyone loved their meals - from the Minestrone, to pasta, chicken and focaccias. Nice and warm during Winter with a great view of the lake. Ciao

We are house sitting in west lakes and found this place by pure chance , was 4 of us mid Sunday afternoon, beautiful summer day - great table outside with great view , after having lived in North America for the last 5 years I really miss table service which sportivo has ! ( for the price we pay to eat out in Australia I think we deserve table service ) everyone was happy with food , generous servings , friendly service , will be returning and spreading the word , people that have complained about lack of gluten free options at least they have options lots of places don't !!!!! I had a pizza -

9th Nov 2013. Went to Sportivo on recommendations and wasn't disappointed with the food. Friend and I both had the Seafood Salad, It was plentiful and flavoursome. Cooked to perfection. Will be going back there.

GREAT HOME COOKED ITALIAN CUISINE. Great Italian food in an awesome location. If you can, go in the afternoon and get a window seat with a view to West Lakes. I’ve had a variety of dishes here and all have authentic Italian home cooked flavour.
