Review Jamaica Blue Cafe - West Lakes

This was my favourite coffee stop in West Lakes until now. Recently I ordered coffee and cake. The cake was served with two small cubes of butter, however both cubes were covered in dust, crumbs and hair as though they had been dropped and reused. It was so obvious, you couldn't miss it but it was still served to me?! I admit it I still begrudgingly used the butter and THEN I found a length of dark hair under my cake! I was willing to overlook one thing as I'm not a fussy consumer and let's face it... Sometimes "things happen" but two incidence of poor hygiene practices in one sitting! And this not being the first time. No thanks- that says it all to me. It was not a once off or a bad day. It's a shame that sanitary conditions are lacking here as the coffee has always been very good.

After I went to this coffee shop one year ago I thought I would never go again, but my friend told me should visit again and I decided to give it a chance, I came here last Sunday morning. And yes, this coffee shop is my favourite now. Coffee so lovely, Almond milk cappuccino was the best coffee i’ve ever had, perfect cup of coffee. Service was great as well. Thanks guys.

Ordered a latte with scones and jam. Recieved scones but half an hour later no coffee, so asked the waitress and anouther 10 minutes still no coffee. Had to get a refund couldn't wait anymore after 40mins .With no apology What so ever Won't be going back there again. ☹

The food was enjoyable and well made, though there was limited selection. It was quite expensive and not sure I would be willing to pay the high price in the future. The service left something to be desired after, as the time waiting for the meal with extended further than necessary. Overall the food was nice, but overly priced and the service could have been improved.

My three-year-old niece declared yesterday that it was the best caramel milkshake she's ever had. Thanks Jamaica Blue!

It was the best hot chocolate I have ever had, the staff were great and friendly and the wait wasn't too long

I've been there twice this year and both times they stuffed up my order and the coffee was horrible. Won't be going back anytime soon.

I have never been let down by Jamaica Blue till this branch. Only come here if you like the taste of burnt coffee and poor customer service.
