Just came back from a wonderful experience at La Carretta . Being Mother's Day , taking Mum out for dinner . Was treated like royalty from bubbly owner Liz . So warm & welcoming , we all had the best meals & service & left extremely happy . We love coming here & it's by far our favourite restaurant in Sydney . Thank you Liz & team for always giving us the best dinning experience.

We’ve been going to La Caretta at Cherrybrook since we moved to Sydney 20 yrs ago. So sad to see that they have to move but will be there at the new venue on Coonawarra Ave. Always great food, service and atmosphere
So many wonderful dishes to choose from, service is top notch from extremely friendly staff, and the owners (Liz and Nick) are absolutely beautiful people. Looking forward to my next evening at La Carretta

Fantastic food and very friendly service. It was my daughters 8th birthday and they were awesome enough to give her a block of chocolate and fairyfloss and icecream with a candle in it and they all sang happy birthday.
✔️ Love Liz’s restaurant!!! The service is absolutely incredible - that’s what always draws me here. You won’t feel more welcome at any other place in the area. It’s so local and convenient so I’ll bring my friends or family here anytime we want a quick feed or feel like being naughty (very often) 🍰 Will forever return here for their garlic focaccia and their desserts

I have to say I am a little surprised by some of the reviews on here. We have ordered pizza from here a number of different times (always to take away) and I have to say it's one of my favorites in the area. I really can't comment on any other meals because I haven't tried them, but I can honestly say I have been very satisfied with their pizzas. Generous with toppings, fresh and flavoursome. I'd happily rate a 5/5 for their pizza alone.
Update:
La Carretta has now moved to a new location. We tried it this weekend and as expected the food was great. I'm a big fan of their pizzas and I really enjoyed the pasta on this occasion as well. Friendly attentive staff made the whole experience enjoyable.
Ordered online, food was ready at the time we had specified! Price a bit steep for the focaccia bread - not bread at all, just a thin pizza base with herbs for $8.50. Pastas tasty! However no Parmesan cheese as specified on the menu.

Saw the reviews and was wondering if we should 'risk it', after 16 years away from the area. Strongly recommend reservations...we arrived at 7pm (08.11.13) and waited about 5 minutes (with reservation) to get taken to our table...the line up for both tables and takeaway was substantial, and all tables were either filled or reserved. We expected to wait...afterall, they were packed (as they are each Friday and Saturday that I have seen) We chatted over wine for 15 minutes (yes, we were watching our watches, however, to be honest, they are not a drive through burger joint) until we were served by Vanessa...then Georga...absolutely delightful girls. We ordered the whitebait as a shared entree (entree size is very generous and delicious) I ordered veal with avocado and crabmeat and it had so much creamy wine sauce...devine (calorie counting starts tomorrow:) Husband ordered Marinara Pizza..family sized to take home for later. He ate too much! I couldn't finish my serving, and so we went home with two doggie bags.
I have been to quite a few 'fine dining' restaurants...huge plates, miniscule half cooked 'infused with....' servings for well over $100 per head (alcohol extra) ....I thank the stars, that is not this place! Nor is it a quiet and intimate....this place is full of life and love...it is bright, it is vibrant, it is chatty, it is happy. Liz (the owner) is a wonderfully vivacious genuinely loving person, who makes you feel like family...we are hooked...thank you, thank you:)
Decent eat out. Service isn't special, but is not disappointing by any stretch. There is a good atmosphere but the kitchen staff at times can get a little noisy (shouting, laughing). Food is good, pizzas are the speciality, love their meat lovers. Good solid restaurant
Pizzas can vary. Have bought pizzas which vary in quality over time. Always hope they are good as we try not eat pizza very often
