Coffee was good, a busy cafe, waited a while to get my coffee, which shows how popular this place is

Really family friendly store (water bowl for dogs) & friendly, helpful staff. Fresh menu items changed daily (lots made in store)

Very friendly service and probably the best babychinos which my toddler loves. Their coffee is quite delicious too.

excellent service. The owner and his family know many locals by name and have the kind of authentic care for the customer that you don’t see often. Interior and ambience is of high quilling and always clean. Coffee is very good. Recommended.

Average coffee roasted somewhere in Italy, not the best for freshness and aroma.
The cafe offers a nice atmosphere and the staff is friendly and hospitable.

This cafe was one of my high school favourites, back in the days. I still am very fond of the café. The coffee is probably some of the best in the area.

It can get quite busy in the mornings and during lunch time.

Although I haven't had a sit down meal I have ordered a few take away items for work. I have tired their susagage rolls, salads and fratata which I have thoroughly enjoyed everytime.

My only gripe is that sometimes I have been ignored by staff in the mornings, and given I usually order a coffee for work time is limited. The times in which I felt the staff had avoided serving me, were days when it wasn't busy. I would had appreciated if I were acknowledged even with a smile or just a "I'll be with you in a moment', rather than for them to continue with the job they were doing.

I still would recommend coming here for coffee and a meal.

A cute little cafe i always head to for lunch during work days! They have a changing display menu at the front glass - the croquettes are always my favourite mixed with a side of their salads

We would love to come here more often since we’re living nearby. But couldn’t understand why they let people smoke outside since there’s a no smoking law within certain metres away from where you’re served the food? Made our experience an uncomfortable one.
We googled for the nearest cafe to have coffee, and found ourselves at The Hills Pantry for a quick brunch date. The location in a small shopping centre means that parking is easy to find, and it is a convenient place for a coffee break whilst getting the shopping done. The staff were friendly and the service was efficient. There was a decent selection of food to choose from, and the coffee was also fantastic. All in all, this is a great little cafe for good coffee and a bite to eat.

Good service and good food. I have been there few times. I like their dirty chai and flexible customer service. Mixed salad was great. Good to have it in the wheelers hill shopping center.

Overview ~ Nice ambiance with great food. Coffee needs a little work and customer service had a lot to be desired. But I believe if this cafe worked to have a more consistent customer service they would continue to rise to be a great Cafe for the Southeast Suburbs. 💋 3/5

Coffee ☕️ Good microfome and texturising but they use VitaSoy brands for their alternative milk choices which I don’t love. The espresso itself is okay but not the best I have had as they don’t weigh shots and the presentation of good crema is hit and miss. But still pretty nice. 3.5/5

Food 🥐 The food is probably the best thing they have to offer they have a nice selection of really tasty food which is prepared and presented beautifully. 4/5

Service 💁‍♀️ I have had an issue multiple times with service, wrong orders and condescending attitude by staff that turns me off even if other aspects shine about this Cafe. But I feel as if this could be easily fixed as they are generally quite nice. 2/5

Ambiance 💡 Nice decor and lighting with big widows and an extra seating room attached to the cafe. 3.5/5

What can I say, The food is great! The drinks are just awesome, especially the juices! And of course, the staff are just lovely. If your ever in the Wheelers Hill area, go down and get a feed or a drink, highly recommended.

Went here to grab a coffee that cost me just under $11 for 2! So I was hoping for the best tasting coffee.... it was horrible. Burnt & undrinkable.

Details: as a wheelers hill cafe, this cute little place needs to be appreciated! Everytime my family hosts an event at ours we get massive salads from this joint and we are ALWAYS content! Everyone asks "can you give us the recipes" and we have to shamefully say that we didn't make them ourselves 😂 great size salads! Definitely recommend if you can't be bothered making them yourself one time you're hosting an event.

Service: friendliest staff!! Never had a bad experience. Always willing to have a chat to the beautiful owners 😊

Venue: nothing special tbh but decent!

Great little cafe given that it's the only one in the area. Good gluten free menu and nice coffee. Often so packed you can't find a seat. Service is great and the food is tasty.

This is a great little cafe in a small shopping village.

The menu is really great with lots of salads to choose from. It's mainly simple food, but gourmet. Well priced for the effort they put into it.

The coffees are fantastic. The service is excellent. They have no problems understanding Non-Binary gender identity, although I had to explain it at first. I was impressed that they cared enough to want to know, understand and support me.

Toilets: It's a very small cafe and doesn't have toilets. I assume locals usually go and use their toilet when they get home and the business people who eat there go back to work for that.

Wheelchair Access: They have a lounge area that can have a wheelchair in there, and outside tables.

A convenient place to grab a coffee if you're in this shopping village. It has plenty of seating, menu choices and friendly staff.
I had a quick piccolo which was decent, a tad bitter, but better than any other small cafes that you'll find in Wheelers Hill.
There is a minimum on EFTPOS

Great little cafe - I come here every morning before work to get a coffee and I've never been disappointed. Staff are lovely! Michael the owner is always there smiling and goes over and above to make effort with his customers. Definitely worth the try!

One of the best (and only) cafes in the Wheelers Hill shopping centre. I am a huge fan of the salads on display- lots of different flavours and generous helpings too to mix and match. Always tastes fresh and delicious. The coffee isn't too bad either! The staff have always been very friendly and display great customer service. The only thing lacking is the decor...but can be overlooked because of the aforementioned good qualities!

Incompetent Staff. Each and every-time I attend this cafe I am forced to hold myself back from slamming each and every staff members head into the bench to knock some sense into them.

By far some of the worst customer service I have experienced.... It's obvious the staff hate their jobs and aren't paid a substantial amount just by the way they carry themselves. Lift your socks up!! #bunchofhacks

They make delicious coffee! I love grabbing a coffee on my way to work as a special treat on a Friday and they never let me down!!

Coffee. Mmmmmmm

-----19 Mar, 2015-----

Great coffee. Having recently moved to Melbourne and knowing the coffee is good here, I had high expectations. They have been met. The coffee at this cafe is fantastic and I regularly come here in the mornings to get some.

Highly recommend.

A god-send for the locals and worth the trip for those who are not :). From the fresh salads in the display, to the decadent food made to order The Hill Cafe never fails to impress. The Hill Cafe is my breakfast/brunch choice every saturday morning, and I love the coffee and service I receive on my morning coffee run during the week. I admire how this cafe is family owned, and all members of the family help out and continuously form bonds with each and every customer; and The Hill Cafe continues to impress with its well-experienced barista, who always fulfils his customers needs (and hits the spot with the coffee).

BEST COFFEE IN MELBOURNE !. Seriously this café has the best coffee in Melbourne !
Great team with a very friendly atmosphere.

DISGUSTING - Both the food and the service.

After tasting an item off the menu, which was truly awful, rather than leave it untouched, I thought that it would be helpful to the cafe to let them know that it was terrible, a chance for them to improve the recipe, take it off the menu.... basically improve! The response was shocking! The rudest of men, came to the table to state that he cooked it himself (tasted like packet food - and he calls it cooking) and while picking through the food, flicked it across the table and slammed down the money for it.

NEVER have I received such bad service. This cafe does not deserve to be in business, take your money elsewhere.

After having a great experience the first I visited this cafe, I thought i would return to get my morning coffee and see the bright smile of the young guy who works there.
Instead I was greeted by a staff member who looked like she had just woken up, and looked like she was on a different planet. Not only did the look of her turn me off but the way she was greeting myself and others and then when entering the orders tapping on the bench with her cheap fake nails. I was stunned that she can get away with this, unless she is the owner of course. The only bright like of this cafe is the coffee, the guys who work here are awesome, as for the other... The service they provide speaks for itself
I'd only go back to perve on the young guy there as I sip on my coffee

Rude staff. Today I experienced the most rudest staff member here, how can people being served after me, all get their coffee before me?? Then when I display my annoyance at this which I think I was entitled to, I get a patronising comeback when I leave, I've tolerated unfriendliness and no personalities from the staff here in the past, but today was the last straw, never again!
