Review Lam Inn Chinese Restaurant - Whyalla

I remember going here when I was younger and lived in Whyalla. It was always my favourite place to go out for dinner. It still lived up to its expectation. Great friendly service, the meals were delicious. We shared a banquet for 4 using the round lazy Susan which was a nice experience as well as the background oriental music. Recommend you checking it out.

Take away was quick & easy to place order, staff was very friendly & offered to send a text message when order was ready. Food was lovely & good quantity. Lots of customers coming & going, large parking area. I would recommend 😋

Great Chinese food and VERY friendly staff. I have just enjoyed another memorable meal. Excellent food. And terrific service from Vanessa the dedicated waitress. I shall return. 😊

Great Chinese restaurant building is in need of a spruce up decor is dated, The food is the best Chinese we have had in a long time, it's all about the flavours, would highly recommend this place will definitely eat here again the staff were all friendly definitely made us feel welcome,

Maybe with all the technology we have these Chinese restaurants could actually send us a text when they're open. I still haven't found any takeaway in Whyalla that's edible everyone tells me this place is great but they're always closed . No wonder KFC McDonald's and Burger King are flat out continuously when no one else is open

Absolutely shocking customer service! I'm disgusted and disappointed. I have never ever seen another restaurant run like this one. Closing whenever they like, closing off takeaway orders early in the night because they're too busy. Then being told this by unapologetic and rude staff. This leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth. After spending thousands upon thousands of dollars here over the years, the staff rarely seemed familiar or friendly and never once have we been offered a free bag of prawn chips. Even with $300 orders! We are looked at with contempt when we do such things. Like we're not helping to support local family business and those who work for them. If you're too busy, call in more staff or have appropriate staffing available in the first place. Simple. We completed the 160km round trip to Port Augusta's Golden Pearl last week and would rather do that, than put up with the poor customer service and ungenerous nature of the Oriental Inn any more! The Golden Pearl's service, portion sizes and prices were significantly better than this restaurant!
