Review South Fortune Chinese Restaurant - Willagee

The food we ordered from here was potentially the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. Rice was gluggy and lacked flavour, pork and chicken was over cooked and dry; and sauces (lemon, sweet and sour) were watery and gross. We will never order from this restaurant again and recommend it to no-one!

$100 on daughters 18th birthday takeaway dinner really didn’t expect a dead fly in the curry chicken. We come here quite a lot to eat in when allowed and now for takeaway. Not been good last few times we’ve had takeaway

If I could give a zero I would! This is possibly the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. The food was so bad I had to go and get my kids something else for dinner. Along with that some of the food was so over cooked it was not even worth passing it onto the dogs. We don’t eat out much but I will never again use this restaurant!

I was recommended South Fortune by a friend and in the beginning I was very impressed with the food and became a regular takeaway customer. However!..I have noticed that they have started to pre-cook their fried rice and merely reheat it as they get there orders. I know this because when I buy fried rice and put it in the fridge for a few days then reheat it, it tastes old. Thats what their fried rice has started to taste like. I brought $70 worth of takeaway one night which included two large special fried rice and they both tasted old, floury and the bbq pork pieces looked horrible and old. I was so dissapointed I refused to let my family eat. I took the rice back to the restaurant and asked them to cook me a fresh batch. When I received the fresh batch it confirmed my suspicions because it tasted delightful and looked visibly fresh. I asked the young girl why they precook their rice and she was reluctant to confirm that they did but judging by her avoidence type answer she gave me I managed to decode that everyone orders the special fried rice as a foundation dish so to take the heat off they precook their rice, container it, refridgerate it then simply zap it in the microwave as orders come in. Some rice dishes I have ordered actually taste like they have frozen it last year before it finally gets its turn in the rotation. Tonight I decided to give them one last chance and ordered a $60 takeaway for the family and my greatest fear came to life, you guessed it my special fried rice tasted old and floury, I even ordered them both with extra bbq pork which cost me $4 extra to prompt them to cook me a custom batch however I didnt see the difference at all it just looked like the standard precooked, floury batch with no extra pork. I thought bugger this so I rang up to complain and the old lady just hung up in my ear. Rude old bag!! They have lost a customer and my $70 fourtnightly bussiness

I have been here many Times as I am very local but I would have to say the quality of the food is nowhere what it used to be. A year ago this would have been a 5 star rating. Also very hard to get the staff's attention as I have waited up to ten minutes just to place an order.

Dont get it delivered. Done it twice now, first time took over 2 hours and the latest took 1 hour and 20 minutes. We live less than 5 minutes away and when we pickup our orderes the food is always ready within 10-15 minutes. We have been customers for years now and the quality of the food has been on a steady decline over that time. Feel guilty writing this as we go there quite a bit but you need to Lift your game

Regular diner. Takeaway tonight. Special fried rice for an o/seas visitor - embarrased! One piece of chicken and pork and nothing but rice! Crispy noodles in pkt were stale. Combo chow mein only had beef in it. Terrible! Jenny.

As it's our local we gave it a chance. Shockingly bad I'm afraid.... not sure what else to say! <br/>Prawn crackers were ok.... Been a nice day today 😊

Definitely agree with the inconsistent dishes.  When we've dined in, the food was good, but take away varies.  Never been impressed with the lunch specials, but I guess you get what you pay for.  Servings are good, good chunk of meat.  Bit oily. I will dine again.

I ordered delivery this evening from this local restaurant. DO NOT ORDER FRIED DUCK. I can not even understand how duck could be so tasteless, dry and tough. The batter was very oily and mostly consisted of a gluey middle which literally made me dry-heave on every bite. Everything else was edible but not extremely enjoyable. Delivery was fast but then again i'm sure we were the only ones ordering.

Inconsistent quality... There seems to be a different chef every time we get our takeaways from here. As we have been ordering the exact same dishes, its hard not to notice the inconsistency from taste down to the ingredients used each time.

Very poor. Bland, gluey, over-cooked meat and vegetables.
