This is one of my favourite local places to get fresh sushi rolls and tempura. The place is always packed, but it has a good vibe. The staff are helpful and it's great they offer the rewardle points system. Delicious and affordable eats!
Always consistent in quality and service, I’ve been coming here for years (as well as my family). I won’t hesitate to bring friends here if we don’t know what to eat as it’s always so good, and affordable. Especially the fresh salmon sashimi, just to die for. Thank you!
I love the food, this is now my fave resto, the sauces matches on food and presentation. Well recommended for those who loves japanese food
The food is great with big portion and always go back
Cheap and good. Food layout look appealing. Good quality. Must try.
Delicious and reasonably priced. Food didn't take too long to prepare and service was satisfactory.
Always yummy, fresh and not expensive! Never disappointed me and I've been there at least 20 times!
My family dines here regularly and have never been disappointed by our meals. Very reliable spot for good quality and tasty Japanese food.
An absolute amazing Japanese restaurant.. apart from being run off their feet the food in this restaurant is incredible. They also have reward card ( rewardle ) so you can build up points and occasionally get a free dish. Highly recommended.
Good Japanese options if you’re in the area. Nothing too fantastic to shout about but it’s nice comfort foods
Really great Japanese food for the price, can get busy and not a large restaurant so recommend booking ahead, or popping in for a takeaway instead. Located near a Utopia which is convenient if you like bubble tea with your bento!
I ordered salmon sushi rolls, agadeshi toufu abd takoyaki. The salmon is very fresh, Tau foo is very soft. Takoyaki is very nice too. Foods always very nice each visit. Service is good. Staff are friendly too.
Loved the food here! Was not too salty and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. Ended up getting 1 main, 2 sides and an extra steamed rice for only $24. Was so much good food for such a small price. To make things better, the waitress was lovely and the overall service was great.
I can not say one thing bad about this place. It’s hands down the best Katsu chicken sushi I’ve ever had. The chicken is warm they use a good amount of mayonnaise and it’s quality chicken. Not fatty at all. $10.50 gets you 10 massive pieces of sushi too. Serving size is incredible!
The terriaki beef bowl is to die for. Most tender pieces of beef that you choose how rare it comes out. Again a very generous amount for price.
The girls behind the counter are alwayssss happy to greet you.
Super impressed by Willettons silver sushi.
Highly recommend!
I was a young year 5 I had just been to a disco i was tired many restaurants were closed but silver sushi was open LET ME TELL YOU ITS THE BEST SUSHI EVER. I have tasted over ten brands of sushi , and this one was the best by far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know how most fast food restaurants serve food that has been sitting out on a hot counter getting germs and other disgusting things , well in silver sushi it gets made fresh from fresh ingredients and unlike most fast food restaurants they actually put effort into making your food look HEAVENLY and taste HEAVENLY
5 stars for the food
5 stars for the aesthetics
5 stars for the atmosphere
Delicious Japanese food and good value for money. The main thing that strikes with this place is its massive portions. We ordered 5 dishes to share amongst 2 and the food that came could easily feed an extra 2.
it was crowded and we did not call prior. nonetheless, was seated within 10mins. both the crunch roll and curry katsu rice were delicious and generous quantity. authentic Japanese food at reasonable prices in heart of Willetton. good service.
ordered quite a few sushi dishes to share and enjoyed them all. would definitely recommend the spider roll and green dragon rolls. especially loved the creative presentation of the dishes.
This place is a good, relatively cheap place to eat. I used to come here very frequently.
The menu has quite a variety of food and can cater for a lot of people, however their list of specials hasn't changed for months and it gets boring after a while.
I will never forget when they advertised their 'Bukkake Udon' when I went there a few months ago. Needless to say, I had a great laugh but please... change it.
If you want a cheap decent meal, go to Silver Sushi.
Great sushi, it’s very close to my house, so it’s always convenient to go over when you’re craving for some good sushi!:) will come back again for sure.
Always a good meal coming here. I normally opt for their sushi but this time because it was a bit cold we were ordering something more substantial. We tried the beef dishes this time and it doesn’t disappoint! The beef was tender and cooked medium like we asked for. The takoyaki is also nicely done. The fish teriyaki was very nice too. The place is not too noisy, able to chat with your friends, good service, free tea for everyone and price is very reasonable. One of my favourite casual Japanese restaurant for sure!
I should give this place a 1 star 😄 ..so people stop going and I can then actually get a seat at this restaurant without booking ahead of time.
But seriously, this is my favourite restaurant in Perth. Food is amazing, decent servings, friendly staff.
Well done to the owner(s) and thanks for opening a superb establishment.
Best value for money and fresh, fantastic Japanese food. I’ve never been let down by this Silver Sushi. Always a fantastic dining experience.
It was and is still my one of the go to restaurants! Make sure you book a table during weekends as they could get quite busy. I have always ordered their eel donburi, the chef specialty aburi sushi (always prepared fresh and it never disappoints!), and their udons are pretty good too. Among all the other joints this is my favourite one.
Before discovering the aburi salmon don, I didn’t really like the place as much. Several years back my first experience there left a bad one as I didn’t like their curry rice dish and their kani cream croquette is okay.
Now, I frequent this restaurant just for the aburi salmon don. Its $18.50 for a bowl The rice is seasoned well, and is topped with salmon belly that has been torched and sprinkled with truffle salt, complemented with salmon roe.
Their sushi is also quite generous portion. With rewardle, you can claim 5 free sushi with 50 points.
Their other dishes are okay. Their sesame baby octopus is okay. Their popcorn shrimp batter was too thick, and didn’t taste as fresh in comparison to Nobu at crowne. Their uramaki was not compact well enough and kept falling apart. But flavour wise was nice.
Large portions at reasonable prices. The food was good and that's about all I can say about it. Nothing really stood out. The sushi was fresh enough and the beef bowl was decent with a large helping of rice. A good takeaway option, especially if you're hungry.
my favourite Japanese restaurant in perth
salmon scallops roll is the best .
tasty ,and more worth it ,compared with other Japanese fine dining restaurant
The katsu chicken sushi was quite nice but the prawn on the nigiri tasted like rubber.
Udon and karage bento were good. The salad had pineapple juice on it? Sadly we didn't really like that.
Staff were friendly but they were speaking way too softly, especially for a busy night where it was quite noisy. Had no idea what they were saying sometimes.
Great food at reasonable prices. Food is fresh and served in large portions. Not a big fan of the Tako Karaage or Pork Katsu Curry - both protein were a bit too dry to our liking, but there are definitely other dishes that are fantastic. Enjoyed the Fried Oysters and Crab Cream Croquettes- both have nice flavours with a crunchy coating and comes with generous amount of dipping sauce . Rolls are prepared with delicious fillings, steak is cooked exactly to our preference and teppanyaki fish/salmon is nicely cooked with tasty flavours. Prefer the Black Sesame ice-cream more than the Green Tea ice-cream; nice way to finish the meal. Lots of free parking available and service is friendly & efficient. Looking forward to coming back again.
Love this place! Salmon sashimi is always super fresh and tempura along with the rice bowls are scrumptious. Whether you dine in or take away, service is always good, efficient and fast! Well done to the silver sushi team at Bicton!
Price: good food for value
Venue: average
Staff: average speed food coming out 3/5
Food: so good! Decent japanese for cheap
Parking: free parking all through southlands
Would I come back? YES
Ordered the pork katsu curry and teriyaki fish bento. Food was excellent, hearty as portions!
The pork katsu was a bit chewy though
Overall if you are in the area wanting good Japanese food for cheap- this is the perfect place
Would def recommend :-)
I'm very lucky to live near silver sushi. I've eaten there, both dine in and take away, over ten times easily. Their menu is extensive and extends further than many standard suburban Japanese restataunts, frankly the standard is very high and it is surprising to find this restaurant in the suburbs. I hope they continue to make great food.
My personal fave is the kakunidon which is absolutely delicious but maybe as a treat only 😍
We enjoyed the sushi at this place and we were full after sharing just the two rolls of sushi. Sushi rice was fluffy and ingredients were fresh.
This is our "go to" Japanese place, we get takeaway on a weekly basis from here. We always order the salmon sashimi which is almost always super fresh and generous. We also order all sorts of sushi which are never a let down, spider or rainbow roll, chicken karaage, takoyaki balls and octopus entree which are all great. I'm a big sushi lover and would say it's one of the best Japanese places around town.
Great food, ok staff, been there for lunch a few times, most of the time it is packed out because of its delicious food! Worth the wait. The service could be improved and some of the foods could be changed by overall great food.
Relatively fresh sashimi. Big portion food and great pricing. Will definitely be back for more.
I thought the service was really good as well. Had an impatient customer that decided to just cut the cue (4 ppl in line) to pay for her take away food. Her reasoning was because her food was ready at the counter for pick up. Luckily the cashier told her off and she had to line up. Was promptly served water without asking.
This is one of our local Japanese restaurants and we visit and get takeaway fairly often. The chicken katsu curry, pork katsu curry, chicken teriyaki udon and teppenyaki salmon are all very tasty. The sushi and uramaki is always fresh and delicious. There's often a bit of a wait for the food but most of the time it is worth it. The teriyaki beef is usually very tender and delicious and the gyoza is always amazing. I am not a big fan of their bentos however but otherwise it's definitely worth a visit.
I just ordered the "Spider Roll" it was Amazing to say the least! The rice was so fluffy and light crunchy chicken in the middle that only complemented the rice and gave a spectacular crunch! The caviar on the outside was fresh and gave a beautiful taste the the overall Sushi. Well worth every dollar! Highly recommend!!
I love the salmon aburi. The fish just melts in your mouth! I would go back for it again. Beef curry and California roll tasted good too. But the chicken karagge was a bit dry. Nice atmosphere. Great service.
Pretty good but there's always a lack of seats. Food wise the portion sizes are superb and pretty worth the price. Love their salmon bloom👌🏼👍🏼 They have pretty good curry as well!
The food is pretty good. And the udon is decent, interesting sushi. The oyako don was good too. The bento is also value for money. Would come again :)
Foodlover And Critic
+3.5
This place is pretty good, portions are reasonable for the price. Only thing is that maybe the rolls could have been cut thinner, a bit too thick for me.
However would come back here for a jap fix 👌🏽
Cheap and tasty Japanese food. Very busy restaurant, booking is definitely needed. The rolls are extremely big and bound to fill you up! My favourites were the salmon aburi and crunchy roll
Best Japanese SOR. Can't beat the quality and price point.
Ordered a chirashi and it's like a million times better than what I had at nishis a few days ago.
Haven't been back in Silver Sushi Willetton for a long time. I got satisfy service. With water served without asking, food delivers fast, friendly waitress and fresh food. Defiantly recommend this place for local sushi😌😌
Really great food. One of the best Japanese places I've been too ! Their sushi rolls are quite large and everything is fresh. Moderately priced and tasty !
This is a very casual but very enjoyable eatery. Service is pleasant, the dishes are always fresh and tasty, and you just know it's good, authentic Japanese when you're one of only a few non-Japanese dining there. But, please, don't expect to just walk in, especially on weekends, as it's very popular.
Such good sushi for very reasonable pricing ! The spider roll is a definite must have, as well as the chicken katsu curry donburi rice bowl. Solver sushi is one of the better sushi places around Perth. Would visit again someday
One of the most affordable Japanese places in Perth! The only thing that really ticked me off is that I accumulated 30 stamps over a long time and you're supposed to get a 10-piece roll for every 10 stamps ($100) but they've stopped it now and I can't even convert it into points on the rewards card because there's something wrong with it! However, the dining experience is normally really great and everything on their menus except the 'Urumaki' menu (Items on this menu go up to $19.90 for 8 pieces of sushi) is decently priced! Silver Sushi is one of the rare places that don't sacrifice quality while being affordable!
What my partner and I would normally order:
Mains:
Katsu Chicken Udon: $12.50
Chicken Katsu Curry: $12.90
Sides:
Soft shell crab: $14.90
Chicken Karaage: $8.90
Spider roll: $17.90 (One of the pricier items)
Green dragon roll: $17.90 (One of the pricier items)
Drinks:
Lemon lime bitter
Water
Other occasional orders that are great for value:
Ikayaki: $13.90
Love eating here! Reservations are a must, restaurant fills up super fast. The salmon scallop roll was divine! The unadon was delicious but the serving was quite small. Overall, the service was fast and food was superb!
This place serves fresh sashimi platter and offers varieties of sushi/rolls. My favourite is the braised pork belly rice bowl with an extra egg!!
A very comfortable, casual little spot with a huge menu. Very tasty sushi, very fresh. I'll definitely be back. The rice bowls were very generous
My favorite sushi place in Willeton! You must try their Silver plate chiraishi zushi! It is super delicious! Fresh sushi on top of bed of seasoned rice (sushi rice mixed with seasoning - yes, mixed properly - not just plain white sushi rice with a bit of seasoning on the top). For $22, you get a pretty large portion of chiraishi with all the seafood you can named! It is a bargain really. It is part of the add-on menu though - hopefully they will make it permanent. Alternatively, there is the $18.50 norma chiraishi zushi.
Other than that, Silver Suhi also offers beautiful and delicious Uramaki with the salmon scallop roll to be my favorite. Slight downside would probably be the price. At $19.90 for 8 pieces, one can argue that it is a bit pricey, but the size of scallop they give could somewhat justify the price. Also, they could work on adding more variety in their menu.
Nonetheless, it is a real decent Japanese place. I love coming here for dinner or two. Friendly staffs and quick serving. Place is small though so there is limited seatings, recommend you to book in advance.
So-so sushi & sashimi as they were lacking seafood sweetness, hence not fresh enough. Rice is lacking flavour as well. However, dish sizes & services are good.
Just went there for lunch today. Staff are friendly. Service is alright. Food is fresh.
Already purchased $100 before, this time I have free 10 pieces fresh salmon sushi. Lots of salmon in sushi. Really nice!
Try their unagi sushi, avo salmon salad and veggies tempura yesterday, those foods are awesome. So fresh and beautiful. Unfortunatelly the place is too small but the staffs are friendly. Love love their foods and definitely want to come back there again.
I love this neat little Japanese restaurant. We had the fish katsu rice bowl, chicken katsu curry, vegetable tempura, the chicken udon and the salmon and avacado salad. Always delicious meals over here and warms my tummy in this cold weather.
Silver sushi is our new family favourite for Japanese cuisine. We dine here regularly because the food is always consistently well cooked and the service is lovely. I'd recommend booking beforehand as it is very busy.
Last night, we had the salmon bloom roll, the vege korokke, tepanyaki beef and the soft shell crab.
The soft shell crab was fresh, well cooked with a crunchy batter and no oily smell or taste. It was fantastic. The beef was also cooked to our order of 'medium' - very tender and well seasoned. Those two dishes were the highlights of our meal. The korokke and sushi were also very nice.
Only downside was a lack of communication, we were not told that we had our booked table until 7:30 upon arrival, so as we were eating we were left shocked when the waitress came to say that the next booking had arrived and were waiting on their table. The waitress was very apologetic when I settled the bill and this will not stop us from returning as these mistakes can happen.
I love this place. The food is always amazing. It's always busy and food is so fresh and tasty. Love it. Highly recommended. Decor could be better
I was craving a really good Japanese grill squid so I ordered a serving of Ikayaki which turned out to be really delicious. I tried some other grill squid dishes at a few places but they didn’t have the charcoal / burnt taste on it and most had a soft texture instead of being fresh and chewy.
Similar to our last visit, we re-ordered the really delicious Aburi Salmon uramaki sushi roll that comes with the cream cheese. Hubby was so fond of this roll and always remembered the delicious taste of the combination of cream cheese, rice, thick teriyaki sauce and the freshly torched salmon.
When I came here I had the pork belly rice bowl which came with pork belly, egg, bok choy and rice. The sauce was very good with that nice balance of sweet and salty and the egg too was cooked well with the yolk still soft. The pork was tender but with a lot of fat through it.
Great tasting food and location
A few times i tried calling and no one picked up, got to the store and they said its an hour wait
Another time they told me 15 minutes wait, 10 minutes later they said its fully booked and its a 45 minute wait
Other than amateur management, i still love the food and will be back
Overall it was a good experience, we had the philly salmon roll and the spicy tuna. The downside was the avo that was so stiff that let us disappointed. Then we had the salmon teriyaki and the gyudon that was really good.
NO reservation NO food so reservation is A Must. Excellent service. Fast and Fantastic.
Spider Roll was spot on. Karaage chicken, Katsu chicken curry and Don was good.
Very popular local restaurant at Willetton. Food quality always great, sushi freshly made. Get busy almost all the nights, have to reserve a table during the weekend.
Haven't been here in a while. But they have certainly gotten more and more popular over the years. I remember coming in and it being really empty. Now its always busy! (Hence bookings are necessary). The menu has been redesigned and looks good. Food prices are average but food is pretty good. Only minor things are service. When it gets busy, customer service is reduced.
Came here for a quick dinner, and boy golly, I thought this place was good - it's actually great. Had the spider roll which was deep fried soft shell crab sushi. 8 pieces was a bit too much for me, but I got to take some home for lunch the next day. I've been a big fan of their katsu curry for a while, it's such a homely and delicious dish. Honestly, this place is slowly becoming my new favourite Japanese place for the food. Service is a bit lacking, but they do run quite a busy joint. It'd be great to see some more staff on the floor attending to people who are dining in, rather than strictly running the take-away orders. But that is minuscule. This place is great- I'd definitely recommend it
great place with affordable quality food and an awesome menu. aburi tasting plate & special salad are definitely my favorite. have a good selection of sushi rolls and other dishes for anyones taste buds.
Far and away the best suburban Japanese place of many, many competitors. At very reasonable prices they present their expectedly large range of Japanese food with a polish and finesse that elevates it beyond the usual takeaway bento. The attention to detail such as perfectly cooked sou vide eggs, different toppings to complement different fish, various Mayo flavours and generous sprinklings of roe really shows the care put into creating a tasty dish from scratch and not simply cooking for the sake of it.
On the other hand there are some items on the menu that are closer to being average then stellar. The decor and ambience of this small restaurant could use a little facelift and the service is usually efficient and friendly but inattentive.
It's generally busy but eating here is easy enough if you call and book ahead or purchase take-away. They will also let you leave a phone number and call when a table is ready so not much actual lining up takes place.
Ultimately a great option for a casual lunch/dinner and I am always delighted by their fresh sushi and nigiri-especially the aburi (flame half cooked fish) range and always look forward to being back!
Very popular local restaurant - recommend booking in advance or going in early for dinner ie 530pm (opening time - expect to have a time limit of 630 or 7pm). Good value sushi rolls which are fun.
10/10 food, Anyone who says otherwise should be locked up in an insane asylum. There is no place in the world for people who don't appreciate how good the food is here.
What a hidden gem! Delicious Japanese food and priced very very well. Came at 5.30pm (restaurant opening hour) and there were already people waiting at the door. Quality is not the best but for the price you can't fault it.
Good place for a casual dinner in the suburbs. There is plenty of variety on the menu. I ordered the beef udon noodle - broth was yum and not too salty, and the beef was flavoursome and tender.
Food is great, not expensive, worth for it.
It is now my no.1 Japanese restaurant in Perth!
The squid is my favourite, all the sushi are cheap and tasty.
I will recommend to have dinner here and remember to make a reservation first.
Definitely need to make a booking before you come as when we came at 11.30am although not many tables occupied, all the other empty tables were reserved. Food was nice except the katsu chicken curry with rice, the curry was overly sweet. However, will be back to try other dishes on the menu.
Silver sushi is top notch! Definitely book a table as it gets busy. Rightly so though - the food is fantastic and the price is more than reasonable.
we go for dinner about once a week - always good, consistent and affordable. we always order the soft shell crab, teriyaki beef and saba rice bowl. Staff are attentive and good service everytime.
would recommend to anyone who like Jap food.
Great simple japanese to suit lower or pricier budgets. Recommend the crunchy chicken roll on the specials menu, or spider roll...don't bawk at the price of those...they are HUGE! Always busy, can't always just walk in for a table so recommend booking.
Reservations required for sure. I saw some patrons being turned away as the restaurant was fully booked. Sashimi was fresh. Tea was charged by the pot rather than per pax. Food was yummy. I guess most Japanese food are about this price range.
Will go back again to try other dishes.
Delicious, fresh and generous in portion! A neighbourhood gem kind of Japanese fare! Good but nothing very outstanding to attract me to making N eager return!
I have only tried takeaway sushi from this restaurant and it is always so fresh and tasty. I chose the salmon with avocado, chicken katsu and chicken teriyaki. The salmon portions within the sushi was almost 50/50! I was so impressed, and it was fresh, soft and melt in the mouth. I still dream of this sushi...and when my next trip will be...
newbie to this restaurant. I love their oyster katsu, it's super yummy! 40 bucks for 2 person, including entree & hot tea, reasonable price.definitely will come back again.
Nice simple Japanese food. Like their sushi rolls...huge rolls! Could have more varieties though and refillable green tea. Nice atmosphere. Remember to collect your stamp for every $10 spent.
Hmm, as you can probably see from my previous review, I usually get ambushed by Sarawak Hawkers and don't consider anything else. But on this cold Saturday evening, we just had a hankering for Japanese food. I thought that we should try this Japanese place beside Sarawak because if food not up to my expectation, I can also walk next door and do a takeaway.
We had a booking for 10 people. Rocked up at 6:45. Table was ready and we were seated. Hmm, two big groups inside. Will that be a problem? Let's find out. Browse the menu. For the price that they are charging, it is definitely cheaper than the other Japanese restaurants around them. I did notice that they do not have Japanese servers who yell at you when you come in. This was an efficient, economical with motion Asian restaurant.
Server came back in 10 minutes to ask if we are ready to order. And we were. Water and glasses were provided and so were the utensils after orders were placed. It was nice that the server ask if we need kids setting (we had 5 kids) instead of assuming that all 5 needed them or ignoring us until requested.
Dishes started coming out. Ok, definitely not your typical Japanese restaurant. Portions were huge. One of our dining companion did suggest that Sarawak and Silver Sushi might be related.
We had the Green Dragon sushi (8 slices), chicken karage bento, tempura bento, beef teppanyaki, potatoes croquettes, udons x 2. The chicken karage bento was a meal in itself and was definitely worth the price. Beef teppanyaki was nice and soft which was accompanied with a nice gravy.
Basically, I will say that the pictures of the food are very accurate. There is no trickery involved to make things look bigger or better.
Service was prompt and efficient. Decor leaves much to desire as it is basically very utilitarian but that does not matter to me. I came for the food not the sights. They also have a loyalty card that gives up a stamp for every $20 that you spend. Suspiciously enough, the card is of similar design to Sarawak. I seriously think that they might be related.
But regardless, if you are in the vicinity and hankering for a good size Japanese meal, I will definitely recommend this place.
Fantastic little Jap restaurant. Much cheaper than its competitors yet still very tasty and fresh. $20 for a salmon and scallop sushi roll usually gets you 6 pieces... We got 8 and they were massive, and you could taste the freshness. Katsu Curry would normally be maybe $18 and it was only $13.
Scallop Katsu normally gets you 2 or 3 pieces, we got 5!
I was just shocked at the value!
And we walked in at 8.30pm on a weeknight and were served so quickly and allowed to hang around till 9.30pm, not many places do that.
I really like this place!!
How generous they are to serve this salmon don. And the sushi rolls as well. The portion just worth the price. The salmon is fresh and delish. Love silver sushi.
The restaurant is busy and small. Recommending to book a table first if you are dining in with a large group of people.
You know a restaurant is quite good when you walk in and every table has a "reserved" sign on it ... luckily enough they had one table remaining! What this place lacks in fanciness they definitely make up for in quality and price. We had the teriyaki fish and chicken rice bowls, edamame and the vegetable tempura. All of the dishes were tasty and the bill was a total of $35. Its a really nice suburban Japanese. Booking a table would be a good option! Until next time ... 7/10.
Besides Is Donburi this is the 2nd best place for food quality and money. Located in the suburbs with free parking, this place is to try out. Book ahead for the weekend as this place gets busy
