Been here many times mainly for dinner. Food was great and never really have much issue. Service was pretty quick and efficient. I think their price is slightly more expensive than some other chinese restaurant around.
This place uses pretty fresh produce which translates to some tasty dishes. It's a clean restaurant with lovely setting and have definitely been back quite a few times. Another note for visitors is that this place is a staple for Asian locals.
Best Chinese around. A little expensive but food is excellent. Service was fine and menu was filled with everything you needed. Takeaways are really nice also and dosent take long to wait. Go back anytime
Very busy little local Chinese restaurant. All tables were reserved on a Sunday night! Not a fancy restaurant but the food was fresh and delicious. The yam duck was meaty and a highlight. Food came out very quickly. The only complaint would be the beef and spring onion dish was a bit small in size and the tea a bit weak.

I'd like to start by saying that this place has fantastic service. The manager is very friendly and helpful. She is attentive to your needs and service is quick here. It is recommended that you should book beforehand as it can get quite busy. I took some family to this place for dinner tonight and we had a booking for 6:30. Within half an hour the place was full and buzzing!
We had the Japanese tofu with seafood, yam duck, salt and pepper squid, and kailan vegetables cooked with garlic sauce. The food came out quickly, but it was cooked to a fantastic standard, absolutely nothing to complain about.
The tofu was hot when it hit the table, with a great helping of egg sauce (great accompaniment with rice), the yam duck was crispy on top with tenderly cooked duck, the squid was also crispy, not dripping in oil and also very tender on the inside, and lastly the vegetables were delicious, blanched and then fried with just the right amount of oil/sauce.

Foo Wah Seafood Chinese Restaurent is located near Colin Street which is an area that is spoilt for options and offers a huge selection of restaurants (I have already written a few blogs on the other places already, so check it out). I believe the story is that Foo Wah is owned by one of 3 brothers who own Foo Win and Bullcreek Chinese Restaurant. The food here is really nice but the prices of the dishes are a little bit more expensive and portions sizes are smaller in comparison to other Chinese restaurants. It is quite a popular restaurant amongst the locals and is always busy so I would recommend making a reservation if you choose to eat here. I would like to mention that the sweet and sour pork here is executed really well – the pork pieces are meaty and aren’t chewy or fatty like some other places and the batter is thin and crispy. The satay beef is also really nice and has an authentic satay flavour rather than being bland or loaded with peanut butter. We don’t go here very often just due to the price so I guess it is more of a ‘special occasion’ type place when craving Chinese food. I think that it is definitely worth a try.
This is a popular restaurant. I have been here many times. Haven't been here for lunch, but dinner is always busy, so book in advanced if you can. They do take away via phone order or in person as well. But the pricing of the dishes here is a little expensive.
This is genuinely good Chinese food. The restaurant was quite full for a Wednesday night (always a good sign), and service was really friendly. Sweet and Sour Pork was great as was the Combination Omelette and Satay Chicken. First time we've been and definitely won't be the last.
Flavour wise the dishes here are generally good, but compared to other Chinese restaurants, the food here tends to be more expensive and portions are smaller. I'd probably choose to go somewhere else for Chinese food.
Had lunch special here the other day... Was quite busy by 12pm. Service was fast and food was good... Their other dishes always descent... I like their duck in plum sauce.. The restaurant was old though, I reckon some renovation on the interior would be nice
Quite an amazing lunch special being able to have almost any dish for $11! The Penang Kway Teow features Chinese sausage (there is a beef option without the blood!), nicely stir fried noodles, and all that rich sauce that I associate with great kway teow. Everything served to our group is generous in size and definitely flavoursome, as it is all eaten and there is not one complaint. The whole restaurant is full.
Chinese New Year Dishes. To welcome in the cultural even with our chinese friends we went to Foo Wah during the cultural event in 2014. We tasted 2 dishes that was rich in taste and yummy. A fish salad called yee sanf with smoked salmon - this was sweet, salty, seafoody and gingery. A real explosion of taste. Worth a try. Then we had their lobster with noodles. Followed by a banguet. Good Food. My family has been going here for many years and the food has always been delicious. Their meals are reasonably priced and their service is fast. The meals I usually tend to order are special fried rice, beef & black bean sauce and fried duck plum sauce. Highly recommended.
Consistently Great Food. I have eaten here many times over the past 8 years or so. The food is simply brilliant every time. One of the few places I can say has consistently good food and service. Always a satisfying experience.
Good quality Chinese cuisine! Never dissapointed but prices are rather steep. Amost every dish is at least $20 over. Nonetheless, a decent place to bring your family in for a genuine Chinese dinner. Efficient service too!

Bring Friends & Family for a Casual Dinner.. I went along on a Sunday night for dinner for 9 people.
The first thing you will notice is that it’s tucked away from any major ‘food hub’ location, so if you are going here for dinner don’t expect to go out elsewhere in the area after.
The restaurant itself isn't anything fancy, but a great casual place to take friends or family.
The service is quick; We managed to get our food, eat, chat & leave in 1 hour... Though there was no trade-off on the quality of food.
For 9 people we ordered 9 mains to share between us along with plain rice and tea & this was more than enough.
The food had good portion sizes & was good quality Asian food.
The deep fried food was light & crispy, rather than being oily which was delightful.
Tasty & full of variety, the spinning plate in the middle of the table was constantly turning as we were all trying to grab a piece of every dish.
Some of our diners were fussy eaters, and some of us weren't, yet we all left full & happy.
Definitely worth grabbing some friends or family for a casual dinner. Give it a try if you are in the area.

Took my very traditional chinese parents here for dinner and they love it!
Yee Sang or fish salad. Can be made with raw or smoked fish. The one below has smoked salmon in it. Yummy.; There is the sweet taste of chopped fruit, hot preserved ginger and sprinkling of nuts.

Overall this would be my favourite chinese restaurant so far, fast customer service, delicious high quality dishes and I'm always amazed with their speed in bringing out the dishes. Chefs must be ninjas.
