Their cakes is what they're known for and they are delicious especially their durian roll cake. May try ordering a whole cake for the next birthday in my family. Also their vietnamese food is tasty. I have tried ordering their char kuey teow but unfortuntely the portion was small and it wasn't to my liking. But it will not stop me from coming back and ordering from their vietnamese menu.

The durian cake is the best in Perth. They used real durian between the cake. Cake is soft as well. You have to call up to order before hand if you want to eat.

Best durian and mango slices. Real chunks of fruit and cream paired with a super soft and moist sponge. I used to travel from NOR just for these.. I now live in Melbourne and still make the effort to get them when I'm in town ❤️

This is my local favourite for a cheap and tasty meal. My usual is the Chicken Bun which is fresh and full of flavour. The staff are friendly and it feels homely.

They do a nice Vietnamese spring roll and I had the garlic beef there and that was quite nice too.  The restaurant itself is very small and cramped... so kind of hard to get a decent or intimate seat.  Worth going for the food though and definitely worth takeaway

Love their vietnames food! Pho and broken rice are awesome! And their durian swiss rolls are really yummy too. A hidden gem tucked in the corner of Willetton!

The best Vietnamese pho in the Willetton area! And the beef bun was super tasty with its lemongrass sweet and sour flavour. Everything was fresh and the staff were friendly. They have revamped the shop and the interior looks much newer and presentable.

A few weeks ago I had dinner with my partner and his family. We ended up going to Joy’s Garden in Willetton which is located in the same hub as restaurants such as Bamboo, Taurus, Yum Cha House and Yuki. Now I think it quite a well-known thing in Perth that Vietnamese restaurants are mainly located north of the river in Suburbs such as Marangaroo, New park and Girrawheen whereas south of the river is known more for Chinese Malaysian cuisine. So I was a little bit sceptical when I was told that we would be going to a Vietnamese restaurant. My partner loves Pho so he of course opted for Pho. I on the other hand wasn’t in the mood for Vietnamese so I opted for their seafood kway teo. I tasted some of my partner’s pho and the soup actually had a really nice flavour to it. My dish was a winner – the kway teo had a lovely wok flavour to it and was quite tasty. For the price, it is probably slightly more expensive than other places in the area. Overall I had a nice meal with the family and wouldn’t rule it out as one of the options when going to Colins Street.

This restaurant just reopened after closing for about a month for renovations. The menu is new (more Chinese food) and (I think about) 10 Vietnamese dishes. The decor has been updated with a red feature wall and new tables and chairs. It's a small place and if you need high chair, you'll have to ask the staff as its kept somewhere at the back. We got our usual pork with broken rice and raw beef noodle soup. Still tasted as good as I remembered. Glad the chef did not change a thing.

The food here was quite satisfying. Bit too salty but maybe I had bad luck with my dish. Definitely worth going to try their bun, the fish sauce adds the right amount of depth to the flavour of the dish and isn't overpowering.

I usually go there for the pork chop broken rice which I thought is superb. I like the Vietnamese coffee as well - sweet and thick.

My partner had the Pho - I tried the soup and it was quite tasty.

Try their Salt and pepper prawns, or salt and pepper squid, with a spicy lemon grass combination and a small bowl of rice. Take a bottle of light white wine (BYO) and leave room for a piece of durian cake.
The food is fresh and delicious, the service is subtle and attentive. Two people will eat for $40, plus whatever the cake costs.  It's a regular watering hole for me and my best friends. -Richard Harris, of Parkwood, WA

Don't be fooled by the dodgy exterior, this place has pretty decent pho, well it's called hor fun on the menu but same thing!

The broth is great and the meat was tender! Affordable prices as well:)

Tried their raw beef and beef balls hor fun soup as well as their laksa. Laksa was not your usual laksa. It has tom yum flavor in it. But the soup taste alright after the palate settles down after a while an taste surprisingly good.

Beef soup was great. Raw beef soft and tender. The pho (noodles) was alright. Not super silky smooth.

What I enjoyed most were the cakes. Seemingly popular as many ordered for takeaways or to consume there and then after their meals.

Fresh sponge cakes. I tried mango and durian cakes. Mango was fresh. Durian was alright but I preferred the mango. The cakes were not overly sweet. I think the cakes are the highlight at the restaurant.

We love their seafood horfan in egg gravy! It has a nice "wok hei" taste to it, though not strong it is enough to add dimension to the dish. Their pork chop with broken rice is great too - the pork is so tasty and tender, we wish they would give more of that and less rice! Overall our go to place for comfort food.

A total joy. Ordered take away lunch here today, phoned up up for tamarind beef salad, seafood laksa and spring rolls.

The food was ready in about 20mins so I took it round to share with my friend at her place.

The beef salad was full of chilli and tender beef slices. A generous serve of cabbage and sliced marinated carrot, so good, more than enough for two.

The laksa was so spicy, it was delicious. Not a lot of seafood but a good mix of vermicelli and egg noodles.

Very happy to have had this for lunch today. I will be back.

A diamond in the rough, a real gem!. Joy’s Garden Café and Asian takeaway is a rough diamond, a real gem. What a find! This is where the locals eat – every night! The food is fresh, light and delicious and they even cater for gluten free! The best Asian food I have eaten in Perth for a long time and the prices are reasonable as well. We tried six dishes, Chilly Chicken $17.00, Black Pepper Beef $ 17.50, Spicy Chicken Chow Mei Fun $15.50, to mention just a few. We were unable to pick a favourite! We literally licked the plates! Our complements to the chef!

Lived just around the corner for years and never been. Tonight we decided to try it and were very surprised. The food was fantastic. The Vietnamese tamarind beef salad was brilliant so was the rest if the food.

Great food, friendly service. Like others, we had passed this place a few times and finally tried it. "Simple" decor, but great food (we had Vietnamese not Chinese), and friendly service. Vietnamese rolls tasted really fresh.

I came here with first impressions that this place would not be any good, simply due to the fact that it looks fairly run-down.

I was wrong.

This is the only place south of the river that makes decent Vietnamese food, and the cakes are simply awesome.

amazing try it!

Highly recommended

Really good food!. A rather small restaurant that can probably only hold up to about 30-40 people maximum. Quite a large menu, large selection and most prices ranged from $9-$12
However good customer service, smiling, polite, and greets customers!
Despite not having so many people in the restaurant, it did take awhile for our food to come (about 20minutes), but it was definitely worth the wait!
Also well priced, $10 for it and was quite filling.
Definitely going back again.

I would definitely recommend the home made cake slices available in store! However, the birthday cakes which can be pre-ordered are slightly on the pricey side but still delicious nonetheless!

Great food. Collins Street is a great little spot for an asian feast. Joys has a very simple menu, more chinese than vietnamese which is a shame, because the few viet dishes they have are great (would be perfect if they added a viet style curry chicken or beef stew). The other restaurants in this group of shops are always packed full, but Joys is usually half empty, it's a shame because the food is cheap and very good quality (more so I think than the couple of hawker style places there that are always full...not sure why that is). Beef Bun is my favourite on a hot summers night, it's so refreshing. Lemon Grass Beef is really yummy too...have it just with steamed rice...it's devine! And make sure you try the fried spring rolls, served with fresh mint and lettuce to wrap them in...GREAT!

Cheap & Cheerful!. Extensive menu, albeit leaning more to Chinese than Vietnamese, is fresh and prepared fast. Great for take-away, not so good for dine-in!

What a good local!. You're spoilt for choice with good Asian restaurants in Willetton and Joy's is up there with the best of them. We've had take-away from there every week for the last month and every dish was delicious. Their Kai-Lan in Oyster Sauce is a must order!

Awesome Chicken Bun and Delicious Durian Cake. I have no idea whether the Vietnamese owners make authentic Bun. But their Chicken Bun (not bread, people) is one of my favourite, craving-inducing dishes in Perth.

You get a big bowl of smooth, silky noodles mixed with fresh, julienned salad greens. Topped with aromatic, heavenly lemon grass chicken. You mix all these with a small bowl of Nuoc Cham sauce, which introduces salty, sweet, spicy and sour nuances to the dish.

Oh, did I mention, there are chopped peanuts too?

So when you take your first bite, you get this explosion of flavours and textures. In a wonderfully balanced way.

Yum.

I don't like their other dishes though. Just stick to the Chicken Bun if you like fresh, Asian flavours.

If you've got space, try their cakes. Beautifully light and very well made. Better than most of the cakes sold at Cheesecake Shop and what-have-you.

The Durian Cake is a delight, if you love Malaysia's King of Fruits. Hahaha.
