Absolutely amazing Ramen, place reminds me of noodle houses in Osaka - highly recommend the Spicy Miso & Chicken Katsu đ
I really like this place. It was my first time trying ramen and I did really enjoy it, I was just expecting the broth and noodles to have a bit more flavour, and some of the pork was too chewy. The egg was amazing! I also tried the pork gyoza and karage chicken - both amazing!! Price is good too, will definitely be going back.
Its so freakin good for what little you pay. Very reasonable prices for delicious ramen. Free noodle top up as well. Their flagship pork is the best on their menu in my opinion. Shame I donât live nearby otherwise I would be here nightly!
1 additional serving of noodles for free. Taste-wise is decent, ordered black garlic noodles that came with flame cooked pork belly instead of charshu. Overall good value for money with their âThe Boyânoodles affordable even for students from the neighbourhood high school.
I've heard about this place a few times and being a Ramen fan the lure was strong to try it for myself see.
What was great:
We tried both the spicy miso and the black garlic ramens, the broths were rich and sticky with a lovely flavour, the noodles were on the hard side but tasted so good with the broth it complemented well. Menma was well prepared with little ammonia flavour and good texture.
Marinated egg was banging with perfectly soft centre.
What was average:
Takoyaki came pre made from a bag though the presentation was good with Beni shoga and tasty Bonito it didn't have any tonkatsu sauce?
If your down this way it's well worth a visit for two mains, an entree and a drink each coming under $35 at this quality you are laughing â€ïž
The sudden crave for ramen got me thinking: âwhere can I get ramen and lobster in one place?â - Ramen Boy...
After Facebook had advertised and enticed me to go here, we decided to call in advance to order the Lobster Ramen. Although a bit of a drive for us we still adventures down and it was not a let down.
Greeted by the friendly staff there we were straight away picked out as the customers who called to pre-order the Lobster Ramen. The restaurant is not table service but streamline orders at the front counter. We also ordered the eggplant with mozzarella cheese whilst waiting for the sea monster.
Out came the panko battered eggplant with mozzarella in the middle. It was juicy and appetizing to start an amazing dinner. The Lobster Ramen arrived and it was a beast. Half a lobster served with baby octopus and clams, this ramen broth was the sea in my mouth. The broth was infused with all the seafood flavors and was great from start to end. The noodles were cooked well and garnished with the usual condiments.
Ignore the other reviews that talk about the negative, give this place a go, call them up for the lobster ramen and enjoy!!!
Love coming here for a quick bowl of ramen including their $6.50 bowl. Have tried all the ramen my favourite is definitely the black garlic. Staff are always friendly and the food is always consistently good !
Ramen is good, not soft. Soup is nice. Only the egg a bit over cooked. Should be a bit running. Serve is good. Staff is very friendly. I do not have to wait due to I go after lunch hours.
Simple dinner out with an infant. Ramen was tasty and service excellent. Food came out quickly and no fuss. Great local cheap eat. Will be back.
I have been here twice. We had the Boy & Black. Good ramen! I like the chewy texture of noodles. Great customer service, very happy! will be back again.
$6.50 for the Boy Ramen - say what!? It's seriously good value. Noodles were fresh and had the slight chewy texture I liked. Broth was average and toppings of pork was a bit light on but not complaining for the price paid. The Wow Ramen is the same as the boy ramen except there's an extra 2 slices of pork and half an egg. Also ordered the pork gyoza which was OK.
Very cheap and affordable food here. $6.50 for the boy ramen with a free refill of noodles. How good is that? Although I must say the ramen noodles are different from the ones used normally. However it is good for a quick meal. The $5.90 chicken katsu don was good with a generous portion of chicken though it would have been good if more rice was given.
Simple and tasty ramen.
Flavour 9/10
Service 8/10
Will definitely come again!
Ate here twice this year. Previously was just called âNoodle forumâ but under the new management, they serve ramen as their specialty dish. The broth is tasty, full of that umami flavour and their ramen noodle is not overcooked. Still has a âfirm and spring-like textureâ when you take your first bite of the noodle. The dish is served quite fast once youâve made your order. Side dishes include tako-yaki and chicken karaage.
The ramen has all the basic elements- a good broth, some bamboo shoots, thinly cut wood-ear fungus, slow cooked egg and the iconic sliced char-su pork. The cook uses a blowtorch to char the pork in front of customers. You can add an extra slice of that heavenly pork for an additional $1.50. Tried the black garlic ramen and spicy ramen. Both are good ! Best of all, they have free Japanese tea, served hot. đ
Amazing! 100% worth the price, we tried the price and the wow and it tasted delicious. The serving size is generous considering the price, and the kaarage chicken was crispy and juicy. Only fault was that the kaedame noodles were a little on the harder size (but it was free so why not). Service was also prompt considering there was only one staff there rushing around whilst the other staff went to get more ingredients. Would definitely visit again to try the rest of the menu.
Surprisingly above average ramen at this tiny store in suburbia! There is a decent and varied range at this restaurant, all at very reasonable prices and dish sizes. Although it is counter service, the food was fast to come out and fresh. The table sizes vary and this would be a nice place to take a group of friends. the egg was excellently flavoured.
Its the first time of ever eaten here, Iâve got to say itâs bloody excellent! Nice to see good affordable Ramen that taste great. Cooked to perfection good balance broth, very generous servings
I consider myself a regular and they never disappoint me!
I have been searching for a great ramen place all over Perth, trying to find ramen similar to what I ate in Japan and this is the place to go :)
Keep up the good work Ramen Boy!
Amazing value for money. A surprising starting price of $6.50 for a bowl of Ramen, taste great and loving the torched pork belly. Tried the new cucumber dish too, $4.50, simple, flavorful and refreshing. Thatâs what Ramen Boy is all about.
The Boy ramen is worth the price of $6.50 and I also choose the cheesy eggplants. I am very satisfied with the serving and the fast service. Iâll come back to try the other dishes.
I seriously have never seen a $6 ramen haha! Of course for the price you get one slice of pork so do not expect too much, flavour wise it is pretty good. To make my lunch a more filling one I decided to have takoyakis and they are yummy!
There are so many ramen places in perth and ramen boy is one of them that is surprisingly good! I prefer "The Wow" ramen over the "The Spicy" ramen, but both broths were delicious. The torched pork belly is amazing and it melts it your mouth. The karaage chicken was cooked perfectly. Really affordable ramen, plus they have free hot tea and 2nd serving of noodles add on for free. Will definitely come back!
Went there during lunch time on a weekeday, staffs were very friendly and service was prompt. Originally wanted to try The Boy which is for $6.5, but then saw the spicy ramen and changed mind. It was so yummy!! Will definately go back and try something else next time.
Ok came to dine at Noodle Forum but found a ramen shop instead. After having a quick chat with the staffs, is interesting to find out that Noodle Forum revamped their Southland outlet to Ramen Boy. The thing that interested me even more is that they actually make their own fresh ramen and Udon. So we gave it a try.We tried "The Black Ramen" $10Katsu curry and rice $8.9The Boy Ramen $6.5Karage chicken $6.5 The food is actually very good. Might not be the best ramen that I had (a lot more pricier) but definitely the best value for money ramen I have ever had to date. Free hot tea and ramen refill too. Really satisfied. Will definitely come back and recommend to others.
Thank you for open this ramen shop in Willeton! Food is so nice and so close to my house, no longer to travel far for ramen!
Love the spicy ramen, one of the best soup flavor i had for ramen. My partner really enjoy the salmon poke rice. The most surprising thing is they donât charge expensive for their food! Really good value restaurant. Their karaage side and cucumber salad a Must to try too!
