Cute little spot nestled amongst all the stores. Had the bruschetta, was really yummy. Loved the avocado creamy twist. It really worked.

My chicken burger was massive and so delicious, I haven’t had the best chicken burger like this before. Lebanese kebab and salad was also fantastic taste. I love my soy cappuccino, the milk foam is very smooth, coffee aroma , perfect cappuccino for made my day❤️ Staffs are friendly and good service. I will definitely go back and highly recommend 👍

Amazing, delicious, and nostalgic! I remember coming here when I was young with my grandmother, and still get the nostalgic feeling whenever I'm lucky enough to visit again! Incredibly priced and absolutely delicious!!

Has to be my favourite steak sandwich. Friends liked the salad. I've been about 4 times for lunch thus far and glad I'm not moving far from here.

Finally, one amazing breakfast & lunch cafe in Williamstown. They know food and coffee. The specials Fritters are insane, plus the pancakes. OMG! Coffee strong and rich... LOVE IT!

Definitely the best brunch spot in Williamstown by a long shot. Food is consistently good and always hot and fresh. Very deserving 5 stars ⭐️

Great menu selection, this cafe caters for all, having the savoury pancakes, delicious and fluffy. Coffee being perfect, very friendly and helpful staff

Lovely place - I have come back a couple times because they make coffee well and the staff were nice.
Food is good, but nothing outstanding. Coffee is better than other options on Ferguson street in my opinion

The service, food and coffee are always fantastic. My husband and I visit at least 2 times a month for brunch and are never disappointed. Definitely recommend.

The place has had a makeover since I was there last. A lot trendier. Huge menu a lot to choose from. Coffee was good. My partner had the chicken burger which was huge but they had no chips to accompany it when asked which I felt was odd but you really don’t need them. I had poached eggs on toast with mushrooms and avo. Was quite nice and the bread was thin not too thick. Eggs were cooked to perfection.

Sometimes as a vegan I just want a super simple breakfast. Places that accommodate and accept your modifications to the menu for something simple, without rolling their eyes or making you feel like a pain, are rare but respected. Very happy to be smiled at when I asked for a simple toast with avocado, lemon, no butter; and iced coffee with soy milk & no dairy inserts. They even double checked it with me to make sure what I could/couldn’t have. Super pleasant experience and very polite staff. My sister had the pancakes from the menu which she enjoyed.

One day I walked passed, and all of the sudden, I had a great vibe from this establishment. The smells and the ambience just drawn me straight off the street into this realm of delight. I had ordered some decadent veggie pancakes, and to my surprise, I saw the one thing that I hadn't expected to see. It was mushrooms. I had almost fainted, knowing this was the worst ingredient ever (to my pallet). So I had asked the very friendly staff if they could replace it without mushrooms added, watching me by my reaction, they'd offered to make a fresh lot without the fungi or fuss. To my surprise I had been served ,one of the best meals as far as I could ever remember in my dining experience. Loved its playful composition , taste, and I really found it to be a real good hit to my senses. Also I felt very welcomed and accommodated, in their scenery. I still keep raving on the meal to my friends to this day. Especially any time we're driving by. If I was economically just, I would eat there at least 3 times a week.

My partner's family introduced this place to me and been coming here since then. If you are looking for a simple all time favorite breakfast menu, this is where you should go. They don't follow the hipster trend menu with quinoa or pork belly on the menu. They are consistent and good. It's family friendly, the staff and owner are very nice. My favorite is the vegetarian focaccia with smoked salmon. It's big so I had to share with my partner. Too bad we live a bit further from Williamstown now. But we always find time to go and visit them.

Underrated is Provisions. Nothing special from the outside and a basic interior design, and has a genuine family vibe all over the weekends. Staff are lovely, and the meals really satisfied. Mushroom, spinach and garlic stack on crispy sourdough was cooked perfectly and not too garlicky.

Pancakes flavoursome and well-presented, both good portion size, and a beautifully balanced coffee.

We come here often with our little one, either as a small family or in a group with local mums. Food is lovely and the staff are very accommodating. Love the options on the kids' menu and the brekkie serves are generous and tasty! Will be back regularly :)

Haven't been here in years until last week. Had coffee with a friend and we shared some fruit toast. Coffee was insipid and milky, toast was dry and tasteless. Oh dear, not at all like the old days when the place did catering as well and both coffee and food were top notch. I don't think I will be back...

I actually eat here more because of the service than the food. Unusual yea but I always feel very welcomed. The menu is pretty tired and its a little lacking that wow factor. The interior has been done up a couple of times in the last 3 years and its looking really nice inside. But the food's still the same. Chef John is a bit of a soup legend and his specials are pretty tasty but the basics are left to slip a little. Coffee goes up and down depending on who is on the machine. No outdoor seating unless you want to sit surrounded by smokers. As far as williamstown is concerned its pretty good though. Good with Kids and the service staff are very polite.

My partner and I have been going to this place a lot this year - we keep returning because it is just great. The staff always manage to fit us in even if it is busy! Service is on point - always being greeted within sixty seconds of walking in. Plenty of options on the menu - we love the all day breakfast. I often make my own breakfast at Provisions - fried eggs on brown rye with avocado, chutney, pesto mayonnaise and a hash brown - those last three all home made. Super tasty! I don't drink coffee but my partner says they are quite good. For two meals and two drinks it costs us between $30-$36. Will be back again!

Nice café with friendly polite service. We ordered drinks and cake and weren't disappointed. The cakes were fresh and the babycino for our daughter had a nice twist, with a beautiful chocolate and sprinkles butterfly on the top. We will be back again.

Service was fast, but I wasn't impressed with the dish I ordered, that being sweet potato pasta. Very bland and unimpressive. My friend ordered the salmon open danish, which was much tastier. I have a feeling other dishes are much nicer, but just don't get the one I got, it'll probably leave a bad first impression.

Provisions is a fantastic place to have breakfast – especially if you’ve done a ride and looking for a place to refuel. It has had some mixed reviews, which I don’t really understand, as I’ve never had a bad experience here. The coffee is good – perhaps not as standout or cutting edge as some of the newer kids on the block, although you can opt for a special daily blend if you feel like upping the ante.

We'll be back for sure. Definitely best coffee in Williamstown. Great fast service, fantastic food. Very reasonable prices. This place needs to be on everyone's café agenda. Wayne served us - what a great guy!!!!

It is unfortunate that my previous review has not been added. I ordered bacon and eggs on gluten free toast this morning. I am allergic to gluten. I was brought regular bread instead. I asked explictly again whether the bread was gluten free. The waiter explicitly said that he recognised the bread immediately as gluten free. I started to eat and ate most of the first slice of GLUTEN bread then was told, that the bread was not gluten free. This restaurant should not be allowed to serve anything allergic-free if they cant get it right. People dont eat gluten free to be hip or trendy, THEY GET SICK TO THEIR STOMACHS!!!! Will never eat here again!!!

Worth the wait. Meal: breakfast. I think it is a 4/5 restaurant because it took 20 minutes for our food to arrive but the food was great. I had the pancakes with vanilla ice cream. yum.
Marco

Unique BLT. The humble Bacon Lettuce and Tomato in a roll is one of those comfort food items I learned about in my first trip to the USA in the 1980s. The BLT is why we keep going back to Provisions; for us it is their signature dish. Their BLT is fairly unique, as I believe they source their buns from a local Italian family-owned bakery and use a house-made pesto mayonnaise. The servings come in two sizes; I always used to get the large size but lately I've gone the smaller size so I can take time after with a coffee and dessert to finish. Provisions is in the retail sector of Williamstown near the round-about, and is usually closed over the Christmas-New Year period for a maintenance and re-paint. They also exhibit art that may be purchased.

Beautiful food, i always order the bruschetta or the spinach and mushroom stack and they are both to die for. Chai lattes are yummy too. the owner is very nice and so are the staff

One of the best places to have breakfast in Melbourne hands down

Food_extraordinaire
Great cafe! Had the smoked chicken focaccia wife had the chicken burger, both large servings and tasty. Will be one of our regulars only when it's not too busy as it gets really loud inside

Less on my plate, More out of my wallet.. We have been coming here for a few years now. I never minded paying a little more than other cafes when I came here as the food was fresh, had huge serves and the service is outstanding. We always used to order the chicken burger, split in half, which they would serve as two open faced burgers. The patties were cooked as two patties and the rest was split between the two plates.
But it's not like that any more.
When we visited last week we were told that the cooks wanted to simplify things and that they wouldn't split it any more. If we wanted it they would simply bring out another plate. So then I had to ask for a steak knife so I could cut it half.
The bacon and avocado were half the amount we used to get, the salad had less 'good stuff' and more salad leaves.
But the thing that annoys me most is that the prices have gone up again. Happy to take my money but can't continue a service that they used to be happy to provide. $21 for a chicken burger is now out of my budget.

Regularly great...head down most weekends with whoever will come with.

When in Williamstown visiting friends this is our choice cafe we go to, and been doing so for years. it's cheap and the service is professional and courteous. I tend to get the same thing, a delicious croissant served with their homemade jam, or the Basil Breakfast they call it, your standard eggs, bacon, Tom, avo with fresh basil on toast. Not usually cheap, around the $18-$19 mark which is a bit steep for brekky. Their banana & butterscotch pancakes are well known in the area and without fail the $9 BLT is always delicious and you can take away too.

Liked It. Nice, quiet, cosy little cafe that serves really nice food. I like there are plenty of vegetarian options and all of them sounded amazingly tasty and my meal and my friends meals were delicious. Average priced for the area and decent size servings. I would go back again.

Service always with a smile. Butterscotch and banana pancakes or even the smoked chicken, Swiss cheese foccaccia are a must. Saturday and Sunday mornings you might need a reservation.

First time, we will be back. Everything 100%. Loved the salad sandwich, roast pumpkin & fig focaccia unbelievable! Fresh as fresh can be, other cafes could take a (salad) leaf out of their book. Keep it up!

After 10 years still love the place chicken burger is the best.
Martha
Welcoming and friendly to families and kids. Good basic yummy food at a good price. Comfortable easy place to go.

Family breakfast spot of choice. A busy popular spot for brekky and good for families, the staff welcome children inside and prams! Wish they still had the playroom they once had in the backroom. Menu is a simple mix of original and delicious breakfast options, simple for the kids and easy on the wallet!

Williamstown tradition. Comfort food at its best and long standing, Provisions has been serving Williamstown locals for over 15 years. Their menu has hardly changed or the interior but this is why it is so popular. The croissants have always been yummy here, they use a delicious strawberry jam and they have the best OJ's and BLT's going around.

Best avoided.. Average food, bad coffee, poor service. Enough said.
Kit
Cage Eggs!!. Unfortunately they only serve cage eggs and I was told that free range are too expensive for them to purchase. This cafe gives the impression of being 'wholesome' and somewhat 'organic' so to find they serve cage eggs came as a complete surprise. To think they are supporting a cruel industry is quite shameful. I'm sure a lot of other cafes do the same thing, but I was surprised that this place does, given they're not exactly a bargain basement cafe.

We have been here twice and the first time we went was for Lunch.. I had the pesto chicken burger and that was fantastic... My friend had open steak sandwich which she enjoyed tooGreat coffee too... On the second time we went, we tried the breakfast menu... It was pretty good and tasty.. We both had chosen our own versions on big breakfast and were both satisfied.. Only thing we noticed was most of the Menu item had Pesto in it which left my friend with limited options to eat as pesto is added to the main protein and most couldnt be taken off.. Other than that it was a great experience...

Not what it used to be. Good food but customer service is quite poor!
CC
Good food everytime we go. New breakfast place opens nearly every weekend but we still love to come back here. Prices are competitive but their portion is much bigger, definitely fill my stomach. Service and Food both excellent, love their salad, plenty of it and fresh. Coffee properly still need to improve, sometime is very good sometime is not depending on who make it. Definitely recommend it
Reegsman
Decent. Had brekky here, and it was pretty massive for the price ! the food itself was nothing you cant find at a dozen or so other cafes in willi, but they're probably dishing out the biggest serves. so yeah ! not bad if you dont want to eat again till dinner time
Triple A
75 dollars for 3 breakfasts and surly service, not to be repeated.
Kristen
This is a firm favourite for a weekend brunch with breakfast being served until 3pm. The Provisions Breakfast for $17 includes eggs, bacon, pesto tomatoes & toast and there are plenty of tempting extras on offer. This morning we added baked beans and avocado to one and sausages and a hash brown to the other and shared everything.

This place does a great lunch. I always love the risotto cakes which come with fresh interesting salads. Breakfast is pretty good too but what out, if you don't tell them otherwise you may end up very dark rye bread. I found it out me off my breakfast and after it happened a few times we don't go for breakfast the pancakes are great though. The coffee isn't the best. We sneak next door to the pickle barrel for coffee after our lunch.
Bolly13
Great med veg focaccia, chicken burger and soups. Lunch items are very tasty. Breakfast items not up to the same level. Good staff.
Craig Rowley
Provide me that Chicken Burger. Love the Chicken Burger here. Yummy!
Dr Oyvind
Try Next Door. Provisions WAS hot, but has been completely surpassed by their next door neighbour: The Pickle Barrel.

What it has on it's side is more seats. That's it. The food while OK is quite expensive and the coffee is just not up to scratch. Too hot, bitter and/or burnt.

But it's popular, and if you can't get in next door, or at any of the other cafes about, then it will certainly fill a hole.

Bustling Cafe. The Steak Sandwich was average, but the Chicken Burger was delicious. The table next to us had a very tasty looking lentil and polenta dish; they seem to be good in general for vegetarian dishes. The service was slow, it took over half an hour to receive our four lunch dishes. We finished off our meal with some good coffees. Overall a nice lunch.

I love this place! The banana butterscotch pancakes are fantastic. One of my favourite cafes for bruch.
