There was so much food and all of a great quality to. We had a dip and squid platter, seafood platter , meat platter and desert. The staff were friendly and we would return.
It is an absolute pleasure to write a review. I live 10 minutes from Williamstown and we dine there quite often. We went there for the first time yesterday evening and we were quite impressed with the great service, the way we were looked after, the suggestions for the dinner menu and when the food arrived: My Lord!!!!!! OUTSTANDING is just a word. The Lamb was melt-in-the-mouth, the sauce to lick the plate, the fresh house bread the best I ever had, my husband had char grilled squid, also sensational. We highly recommend this restaurant. Honestly, the best Greek food I have ever tasted!!! They are our favourite now. Congratulations. Jenny.

Absolutely fantastic Greek restaurant down in Williamstown, service was outstanding with friendly staff, and the food was simply delicious and cooked to perfection! We had the Banquet and couldn't fault anything, although the grilled calamari was an absolute standout, so tender! Will return, sooner rather than later.
Friendly welcome! Food was cooked perfectly had the seafood plater and meat platter to share with Greek salad. Also had coffee afterward will be back again. Want to try other things on menu. Very satisfied for my sisters bday :)
We had a lovely birthday dinner here tonight. Lovely hosts, great hospitality. Food and wine both delicious. We had the chef special lamb and a lovely bottle of Tempranillo. Prices were very reasonable and as locales we will certainly be back. Each time we have been here the restaurant has been full so clearly our positive impressions are shared. Certainly recommend it.
My partner and I love coming here! The service is great, such friendly staff, very attentive and the food comes out super prompt. I’ve had the garithes saganaki twice now. The sauce compliments the prawns like you wouldn’t believe so if you like prawns and can’t decide on a main, get it you’ll thank me later. Don’t have a photo of it but have a photo of our starters. Love that we’ve found a Greek restaurant we love in the West.
My family and I had a good time in this restaurant, we were the only customer there, it was pretty quiet. We had grilled seafood skewers, seafood platter and some drinks. The food was pretty good, lots of food for 4 people.
Oh what a food! An absolute greek gem. I had the vegetarian risotto while my friends had the seafood and lamb. The food was very tasty and will definitely visit again.
An amazing Greek cuisine! Fresh food, amazing taste and nice helpful staff. I've been 3 times in 2 months, I'm in love with it! The meat platters are extremely filling and perhaps you'd need more than 2 people to finish it off! The banquets are perfect for value, quantity and quality! The dips are extremely fresh and taste perfect, all seafood is perfect as well. Reasonably priced for the quality food that you are served 👌🏽
Nice place although when we got there tonight it was a full house, and the way that the tables are positioned very close together makes it feel overcrowded when it's at capacity. Regardless, the staff were friendly and still did a great job serving meals and drinks. Our food was a bit delayed but that was ok, we had seafood platters and seafood banquet and they were worth the wait - everything was fresh, well cooked, salad was good, desserts that come with the banquet are more of a small tasting, but we also got the tasting plate, which has a sample of a few more desserts. The only thing I would fault is the bread that came with the dips at the start - it was just your basic white bread roll, such as you'd get in a Vietnamese bakery, but this was stale so really not great. Dips tasted nice though. Overall good place if you're after seafood.

Eat Greek food all around Melbourne. Had Banquet 1 which is for two people. The food was fresh and delicious - dips were amazing and bread fresh, meat was cooked really well, seafood was fresh (and not frozen), Greek salad was tasty and well balanced and Greek dessert was homemade. Tea and coffee came out with dessert. On point with service and timing on meals. Recommend this place if you are in the area (and happy to travel there too)
I like this place, have been a 4 times with family and friends. LOVE the lamb. Really great service. 3/4 of the visits the food was really good. But my most recent visit, it was not as tasty.
On a sunny weekend spontaneously took a river cruise to Williamstown. Then discovered this delicious Greek bistro. Seated outdoor to enjoy the sunshine while dining beautifully cooked meat and seafood. It topped a great day out in this beautiful city of Melbourne.
We had the banquet for 6 pax. We were told over and over again that we had to be seated and out by 7.. our booking was for 5pm..
4 out of the six was on time and we were told that they could not wait for the other two and that we had to start without them because of the turnover at 7pm -(place was not even half full).
Food was great.. entree was plenty and tasteful. When mains cames out, it was lots and we struggled to finish it but still worked on finishing. Dessert selection was ok but small. Overall it was worth for what we paid for.
The banquets here are amazing and so filling. Being a Greek myself I know good proper Greek food and this is it. The staff are very friendly and the food is just amazing. The only thing I could fault is the souvlaki, for me the chicken was a little bit dry. But other than that, the prices were reasonable and the food was good.
Fantastic food, we had they mixed dips to start, best eggplant dip I've ever tasted. The grilled octopus was very tasty, I had the snapper and it was delicious.
Three of us ate here over Easter. We ordered two entrées (calamari and halumi), two mains (Moussaka and Lamb Gyros) and dessert (Custard Filo). This was the absolute best Greek meal we have all ever eaten. Every dish was full of flavor and a great size. Our waiter was extremely helpful, with a fantastic attitude. I can't really say enough. Will definitely visit this establishment again.

Beautiful restaurant which fits perfectly with the Nelson Place atmosphere. We had the banquet and were quite pleased with the food. Began with the first course of mixed dips and some mezze - saganaki, normal calamari (not fried) and loukaniko (sausage). The bread was warm and dips were good. Saganaki was one of the better ones I've had! The main course consisted of a meat and seafood platter. The meat platter included chicken and lamb gyros as well as chicken and lamb skewers, with some baked potatoes at the side. Liked the baked potatoes, they were appetizing. As for the seafood platter, we loved how they served king prawns. The fried calamari and grilled fish fillets were pretty standard, I was glad that the grilled fish weren't too greasy. The bowl of mussels was tasty but the mussels were small. By the end of all those, we really couldn't force down any more, so we told the waiter to take back the dessert platter as we didn't want to waste it. A satisfying meal overall and a great choice for some solid, delicious Greek food. I suppose it is a bit pricey at $55 per person for the banquet, therefore I suggest just ordering a la carte unless you have a big appetite.

Another cracker restaurant in our very own backyard and which ticked all the right boxes one expects when dining at a Greek restaurant. Food and service was excellent and if your lucky to go on Fri/Sat night you can even enjoy a singalong with the resident bouzouki player. Opah!

My husband and I have been searching for a year now to find a restaurant in or around the 3030 zip code that is not in the city with the traffic etc. I had my best friend and Matron of Honor visit and I wanted our time to together to be special. We were desperate for good food and service that fits the price. I in the past had been disappointed continually UNTIL we found REMVI by the Bay. The quality, presentation and freshness of the each dish comes from a place of love for the art of cooking. What Theo and his staff offer each and every person that comes in, is beyond anything else I have experienced. I was a Food & Beverage Manager at top notch Restaurants for years and very picky. Here we go out on a regular basis and I have been to all the places that offer such small portions for such a huge price. NOT here!! At Remvi, there is so much attention to detail and truly such a warm inviting atmosphere..I love seafood but have always found it with little to know flavor since I moved to Oz. When we ordered the starters and the variety of distinctive flavors of dips had me smiling each bite. I was floating on a cloud when they brought out all the different types of seafood and each one better than the previous. All of the melding of the spices so perfectly balanced to create the most amazing flavors. I felt the owner was so welcoming and friendly as well as the staff. Some one was always available immediately to meet our needs. The intelligence and depth of Nikos was an even more amazing experience as we began to chat about things we both were interested in. Our dinner last night was one of the most memorable experiences of my life and I will be going there time and time again. This is a first class restaurant without the snobby airs. I was in HEAVEN!! God Bless you Theo for giving us the treat of a lifetime!!
Best Greek restaurant. I have been here many times with family and friends and have never left disappointed. The food is fantastic and the staff are always friendly and bend over backwards to serve you. The best value meal is the banquet as you get to try different delicious food. Can't wait to go back. I highly recommend Remvi by the Bay.

Service was efficient and very welcoming. Even the atmosphere was really quite wonderful.

From the moment we walked in, we were not disappointed. Service was excellent & we were seated at a nice window seat. It was nice to be seated at a table for four, rather than be crammed at a small table for two.
There were so many amazing entrees and mains to choose from.
We both had chargrilled calamari for starters, which had a beautiful flavour. My boyfriend then enjoyed the chef's special of lamb, baked potatoes & salad. I enjoyed the seafood & meat combination, which was so fresh & had a lot of variety & great value for money.

Amazing Greek food - better then Jim's Greek Tavern and that has been my favourite restaurant for 20 years!!! Family owned restaurant by the water and definitely worth the drive over the bridge to get here. Check it out guys you will be glad you did
Decent Greek food. I was here with a group of 7+ and I have to say they did well to attend to all our needs. Service is great, friendly owners and staff, food was really authentic tasting however the price lets this place down a little. I didnt think that the platter (PIATELLA KREATIKA) my wife and I had to share was worth the per person price of $37 each. This platter came to $74 on top of the few drinks and breads we had was over $100 for two people, and the platter was not that loaded with food. I will say that the food was really tasty and I enjoyed it very much, really great lamb, chicken and the halloumi was awesome. I might come back here, but wont be going for the platter, and not just because of the taste, only because of the amount of food you receive and the price.
Best Mother's Day ever!. We had lunch at Remvi on Mother's Day, it was a set menu. The service was lovely and the food was absolutely fantastic. There was a great variety of dishes, all very tasty and cooked beautifully. Very good value, and it made our Mother's Day so easy, I would recommend this to anyone. My Dad said it was the best Mother's Day he's ever had!

Quality food & excellent service A++++. As a first time diner, I was opened minded...The food was delicious from entree to dessert. One of the best Greek Restaurants in Melbourne by far. Furthermore, the service was excellent and the food came out quickly. If I had to point out any negatives, this would be the pricing as we spent an average of $70pp. Overall, my family and I had a very enjoyable experience and we would definitely come back again!

Great moussaka. Excellent food at Remvi, it has been good since it opened. The chargrilled octopus is great, very tasty. The prawn sagnaki is just fantastic, as are the lamb cutlets. We've been there a few times, last week we took some greek friends who can't wait to get back there. Very friendly and efficient staff.

I am not a fan of greek food, but this place is great!. Have frequented this venue on a number of occasions and have always left satisfied - if not over fed *embarrased look*.
Service is great, from the moment you walk in the door to the time you walk out. Lots of friendly faces, polite staff, and overall 10/10 to the staff.

Mmmmmm. Went there for dinner with the family. All the meal serves were massive but super tasty so nothing was left uneaten. I had a seafood saganaki stew which was loaded up with HEAPS of seafood and was soooo tasty. I also recommend the lamb cutlets and gyros, apparently the fish didn't taste the freshest unfortunately. but overall it was a great dinner and I hope to return !

19th November 2010. First time diner at Remvi. Food and service was fantastic. We all had the Thira banquet well priced and plenty to go around. Had been dinning at another Greek restaurant in Williamstown for over a couple of years but not any more. Remvi is a restaurant you must try. Will definitely be going back.
Choose the chargrilled!. The best things on the menu at Remvi are chargrilled - the lamb, the souvlakis, the cutlets, the calamari. Anything cooked over charcoal is tasty and terrific. That's not to say that the rest of the menu isn't also good - it's just that I have a soft spot for flame grilled.
The banquets are also recommended - they offer really good value and even the heartiest eaters will find it hard to finish off all the platters.
For dessert - share the loukoumades (greek donuts with honey syrup) which are very very sweet. But isn't that what dessert is all about? Add a strong Greek coffee to offset the sugar.
The service is good, the wine list has an OK range of local wines and one or two imports. After dinner take a stroll across the road to the marina and see the lights of the city across the bay.
