Review Piccolo - Williamstown

What a great laneway coffee experience. Very Melbourne. Tucked away in a hole in the wall. Outside seating provided for waiting and drinking coffee. Staff were polite and accommodating. Coffee was spot on. Great little local, frequented by many locals, enjoying time together.

I LOVE this little laneway coffee spot. They make excellent coffee and their croissants are also very good. I highly recommend it. They have a small seating area inside and some outside seating in the lane way. Blankets for use too in colder weather but it is pretty well shielded in thr lane way anyway.

We love coming here for our coffee. Feels like Europe with the best staff possible. I would have to say this is the best Melbourne coffee shop with a funky Melbourne feel.

A bit disappointed to get my takeaway milkshake only half full… You’d expect to pay for a full milkshake. Coffees are usually good though, the redeeming point for the 2 stars.

I have had great coffee at Piccolo many times over last 4 years in Williamstown. I would have given 5 stars, but my coffee today was stewed! 😥 Hopefully its just a one off, as it could be the best place to get coffee at in Williamstown!

The big problem is they always put friends and regulars in front of everyone else. I’ve been here probably three times expecting a great experience based on the reviews. The coffees not bad but the last time I went here at 8am on a Thursday I waited 25 mins for a cappuccino! I saw numerous people come and grab there coffees within a few mins. When it got to the 20 minute mark I asked the barista if they had been busy. He told me he’d asked the guy who took my order about me and got told I wasn’t waiting for coffee. I know that this is just a mistake but it’s not the first time I’ve been waiting for ages here, the wait times are always long because as I said at the beginning they prioritise the regulars/friends of the guy taking the orders. Guys I understand why you do it, but it’s putting off the newbies. I hope you take this feedback positively.

Fabulous coffee, best in Williamstown. Hole in the wall little coffee shop with charm.<br/><br/>Be prepared to wait during busy times however I assure you the coffee is well worth it. Have not eaten here so based on coffee alone. Staff are also super friendly!

Cute hole in the wall coffee nook. Sat inside on a chilly Saturday morning. Hot chocolate was nice & strong with a marshmallow. Boys were happy with their coffees. Friendly staff. Would love to come back.

Overrated. Really slow service and coffee not great. Pity really because Williamstown needs it! Owner ( I think) is in no rush and loves a chat, the coffee isn't worth the wait. Tried 3 mornings in a row, gave up on the fourth.

The place is tucked inside this cute laneway, side by side with a cupcake store. We ordered the borek and ham roll for lunch, they were just okay. Friendly service, good coffee, average food. We'll come back again for the coffee and pastry!

This is a nice Little place tucked away just behind the main strip in Williamstown. There is a small outdoor area, which is typically filled with cyclist enjoying a post ride latte. The pastries are fresh and the presentation of cappuccino was on par with the best in CBD. Service a bit slow, but thus far the best in the area.

I come here regularly for a coffee.. but always get served by a lady who always look like she woke up on the weong side of the bed. She just looks so angry and not wanting to be at work. Good coffee but she always ruins the experience for me.

Staff are rude.. Stood waiting for 10 mins without being acknowledged & gave up. Plenty of other good places in Williamstown so give this place a miss!

You come to this place for the coffee, the best in Williamstown - hence the rating. Small cafe offering a few cakes, as well. Coconut milk coffee pretty good too.

Saturday morning, not too busy so we could easily find a table ourselves. Lovely staff, good food and great coffee

Shocking! I thought that.... Shocking! <br/><br/>I thought that the Melbourne cafés have evolved to a point where all metropolitan venues know the basics of producing good coffee. I was wrong!<br/><br/>The barista had pre-ground beans sitting in the doser which he happly loaded into his portafilter (no patrons preceded me so not sure how long ago he had then ground). He then proceeded to finish of my beverage by using the already steamed milk he had sitting in his jug (not sure how long it was sitting there).<br/><br/>I just couldn't believe what I was seeing!!!!

BEST CONSISTENT coffee in Williamstown... I go there every morning (except sundays when they are closed)...<br/>Unfortunate cos where i go on a Sunday...the coffee has been terrible...luke warm and NO coffee taste..<br/><br/>Piccolo has the BEST consistent coffee of any deli/coffee shop in Williamstown..<br/><br/>Gorgeous staff...a tad squishy re the environs...BUT who cares when one gets a consistently fab coffee EVERY day..<br/><br/>some other local coffee shops should take heed of the word "CONSISTENT"...a big problem with who is on the machine in some other places...

By far best coffee in the west. With an owner so passionate about his product it can only be good. True dedication to making the perfect cup everytime.

You know it's premium when they describe the coffee as having a "pleasant aroma". Thank goodness I tried it so I never have to come back again. Both our long blacks were TERRIBLE. Couldn't muster the courage for a second sip.

My friend and I first hit the spot and we have been fallen in love of this lovely cafe. The staff were very friendly. Good coffee was served with a charm man (should be the owner) with warm smile. It is considered to be a cozy place for friends gethering and spending time together.

Excellent take away coffee. Owner/ barista is super friendly and makes this little shop a hit. As the name implies, not much space here, but still- ill have to squish in for lunch sometime.

Coffee perfection. This little gem has become my favourite coffee place for the daily fix. Coffee as it should be - rich, smooth, creamy and warm.

Like the lane way, don't mind the pokey style cafe seating, coffee still needs working on the dredge at the bottom of my cup is not on and efficiency could improve waited 20 mins for two late 8 customers ahead of me
