Review Atomic Bar - Williamstown

Had such a wonderful experience. They were so lovely, friendly and accommodated us without a booking. They were alert and were there to assist us without us needing to find waitresses to help. I loved the experience so much :) Drinks were prompt, the food tasty and the atmosphere was definitely accentuated by their service! Thanks guys!

Nice staff, beautiful decor. Good place to relax. A downside is the toilet smells unpleasant though it's clean. The presentation of the cocktail needs to be improved.

If you are an Italian food lover like me, this is the best place to visit. The restaurant and the bar services were great. I recently attended my friend's wedding reception party. It has the best view in the town. Great party venue !!! The staff are very friendly. I recommend this place to everyone.

Great place to dine. The hot stone steak is great because you can cook it the way you like it. Vri behind the bar make the best Long Island Ice Tea this side of the city and is half the reason we go back. All the dishes a well served and very tasty. Highly recommend this bar!

Was walking along to find a good place to eat for dinner, ended up finding a GREAT place for dinner. Service was amazing and friendly, felt very welcome. Got a booth seat which is extremely comfortable, ambiance of the restaurant is calming and gives a delightful experience. Our server Aman, was one of the highlights this evening. She was attentive, considerate and very pleasant. Ordered the Garlic bread, American Parma and Lasagne. Food was quick, Garlic bread came out before main meal which is always a bonus! Food was tasty, lots of flavour and well presented. Would come back again! And bring my friends and family next time!

Great experience over here was not too hungry still manage to eat a lot and the decor n ambience is really cozy. Food was very good fresh n well cooked not to spice not to oily. Staff was very good to converse with.

Went there for an event. The place looks old and quite big, I would say not much decoration inside. Menu looks pretty good. I tried this meatball entree, also calamari salad. Meatball entree was not bad, and it came with pieces of bread that was very crispy, almost like a biscuit, but I like it. Calamari salad was rather unfair to be called calamari. There were only a few pieces of calamari on the pile of carrot slices and cabbages. Dressing was ok, but not enough to elevate the taste. I tried their lamb pizza and pork belly dish, both I would say isnt very enjoyable. I tried a piece of my friend’s steak, it was wonderful to see it came on hot stone and it’s sizzles in front of you, but taste wise it was just ok. Overall, most of the foods I tried werent good. The only nice thing about the place is that it’s big and you can actually chat, because their music isn’t blaring like most pubs do. Oh, i also ordered moscato and the amount they gave is very stingy. They used the red wine glass which is wide but it was just under the widest part of the glass (which is quite low btw). But yea, wouldn’t come back here.

The food itself is good but the dishonest staff bring my rating down to 2 stars. I've had a few group bookings here and have lately been coming every week for the steak specials. Some of the staff don't know what is on their own menus and try to get every dollar that they can out of you. An example of this is charging you an extra $4 for changing the sauce on your steak and only telling you that there's an extra charge when they give you the bill to pay. This isn't the first time that this sort of thing has happened here and I'm starting to think that the management encourages this practice. I will not be returning here as the (I assume) manager couldn't care less after I told her about this problem. There are better places in the neighborhood with honest staff.

Rating: 3.5<br/><br/>Came here looking forward to a good steak after hearing so much about it from a friend. I think the hype let me down a bit. Serving size was great but the steak was a bit tough to eat. A bit of a hassle to keep cooking on the stone grill until it was done. Not bad, but just a bit time consuming.

My wife and I went there for lunch a few months ago - hamburger wasn't cooked properly and was cold at time of serving and my calamari was definitely NOT calamari, more a seafood stick carved up to appear as such...  coffees were fine and the waiting staff were good - we politely complained and received an apology..   We usually vote with our feet and don't return but finding ourselves in Williamstown today and seeing that the cafe is back from renovations we thought we'd give them another shot.  In a word..  abysmal.  The staff are friendly enough but the kitchen staff need to lift their game  We started with coffees and nachos ( with chilli con carne for $5 extra) After waiting 20 minutes for it all to appear we had luke warm coffees and nachos that had cheese on two chips, a dollop of chilli , cream and avo...  and a cremated base.  We decided to leave it at starters and not order any more food.  I didn't bother to complain as clearly the first time I gave criticism before their renovations it fell on deaf ears. I have no problem with the waiting staff, they're doing their best and are quite friendly and attentive - but the food was minimal, tasted burnt and just failed to impress.  Next time we just try one of the other cafes next door.

Enviroment is great; indoor and outdoor. The food is great and love the stone-grill steaks and there's a large range of drinks. Love coming here whenever I'm in the area

Came for dinner and drinks with friends and sat outside as it was a nice night...You order at the bar and the food comes to the table. Menu is pretty big, but standard fare of burgers/ pasta/pizza/ cafe meals. Pizzas were wood fired, I ordered long before some people at my table and my pizza was the last to come out.. long after everyone had already almost finished their meals. They asked if I had received my pizza, not sure if it had been forgotten but when it came out it was fresh, and pretty tasty.. nice woodfired dough, chewy and pillowy on the inside. They also have live music- a 2 piece rock n roll band and lots of swing dancing inside.. nice atmosphere.

Great food and drinks.<br/>Steaks were great as was the mushroom sauce. Risotto and stir fry were tasty and the service by the staff were amazing. New chef knows how to make good tasty food and the ambiance was comfortable for a Sunday lunch with friends. Will have to come back. Thanks JEFF<br/>

We were seated straight away which was great - staff friendly... place was very smoky, we were told from one of the dishes on the menu where YOU cook the steak at your table... there was too much smoke, it stung our eyes & our hair & clothes smelt of it even after leaving the restaurant. We waited almost 1 hour for our meal & then the veggies were cold. I also noticed that the smoke detectors all had the batteries removed, most likely to prevent them from going off due to the smoke - A big thumbs down

Took my sister from Canberra for dinner on Thursday night. Was a bit worried because a lot of the reviews were bad. But I was quite surprised the wait staff was very friendly, besides the food taking a long time to come out, the food was very good. Flavours were good, presentation was good. We had the salmon special which was totally amazing. The only thing is the fish from the fish and chips was very small, the batter was too thick, too much batter and very little fish. The meal wasn’t worth the price. I felt it was too overpriced. Otherwise everything else was very good.

Absolutely delightful evening, cocktails & food were superb. Apparently one staff members first night, could not tell & unable to fault. Thank you for courteous & prompt service, look forward to next time, thank you again.

Walked around looking for somewhere to have dinner and bumped into this Bar.  We had the Calamari Salad and Stone Grill Steak.  The food was fresh and delicious.  Staff were friendly.  Will definitely return to this little gem.

This place is pretty average, ordered a simple soup and cheesy garlic bread. It took 45min to come out by that time we were starving. If it wasn't for the cheesy garlic bread I will not be back.

Dined here with friends on Sat for lunch – shared the<br/>garlic/cheese pizza – delicious and I had the smoked chicken and avocado salad<br/>which was also very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their food and I also enjoyed one<br/>of their cocktails – mojito which was nice. Service good. In the entertainment<br/>book and had a few vouchers between us as group of 9 so good discount off the<br/>total bill at the end.

Went for a walk in our new hood before Christmas and decided to stop here for breakfast just because it had the most people there. I will confess I'm a bit of a food snob and didn't want to stop here because it looks tacky but let the husband have his choice. Both ordered the BLAT and it was delicious! Really fresh and tasty! Very straightforward, nothing fancy and while we wouldn't rush back, if we end up there I'd happily order the same again. Service was average.

Terrible Terrible Terrible. Chips were a couple days old and calamari had no tasted. Chicken was not cook properly in the chicken salad. Pizza was half cook and tasteless. <br/>Stay away from this place.

Waiter was unable to tell us what the dips on the platter of the day .. order sommersby pear cider but received strongbow! Yuck ! When queried was told don't have it .. if we had read reviews would of never came near this place !

Beautiful spring weather, arrived on the ferry and wandered the street. Came across Atomic Bar. Swayed in by the $15 lunch menu, only to read the fine print that it's Monday to Friday.<br/>Waiter was friendly and welcoming.<br/>Pulled pork Burger. Unsure what seasoning was used but it wasn't great. Far too much sauce on a cheap supermarket bun. Great milkshake tho! <br/>Venue itself is delightful.

I came to Atomic Bar over the weekend and both my partner and I ordered a main course with a side dish. My prawn linguine had absolutely no flavour at all! Despite being advertised as having chilli, garlic etc the dish was basically just watery pasta in a bowl, with 3 (maybe 4) pieces of chopped chili thrown in. The prawns themselves had just been fried off with no flavour again. It wasn't until I asked for parmesan and added plenty of salt and pepper that it became edible and even then I couldn't eat very much of it. My partner ordered the seafood tasting plate (entrée) which was basically the same, no flavour and all deep fried. After leaving the majority of our food we proceeded to pay, we weren't even asked how our food was, we were just told how much it came to ($70) after explaining that we barely ate any of our meals for the above reasons we were told we could have $10 off. I will definitely not be coming back considering the sheer lack of care, effort and service that we experienced and the many other restaurants in the area.

In a word, average.<br/>Food was bland but not horrible. Was disappointed with the pizza on a base that was obviously store bought. Corn fritters had no real flavour. <br/>Decor is a little weird, looks like it could use a revamp - it's like this place doesn't quite know what it wants to be.<br/>I won't be back and probably would not recommend unfortunately.

Better than expected! We came here out of no option since it was a late sunday afternoon lunch and all others places were closed. The food turned out to be nice or atleast better than what we expected.

I think the key to places like this is expectation. Granted, it's not the greatest food in the world, the layout is a little ugly & the service could be sharper, but it's not fine dining. If you're looking for a quick meal on a weekday but don't want to venture into a rowdy pub to grab one from over the counter, it isn't that bad. Good view outside, and not expensive by any stretch.

A kinda weird breakfast - asides the eggs weren't scrambled and the whites were visible in the scramble? <br/><br/>So oily. I think they are way too heavy with the canola trans fat oils and the bacon was oily, best thing on the big breakfast was the tomato that was grilled and even that was oily. <br/><br/>Kinda dated interior and exterior - staff were lovely though but gee whiz / oil oil and more oil! Greens breakfast ok too - a lot healthier and more fresh.

Dined tonight with myself and 5 other people.....The burgers were ok but nothing special my Aunty had the fish , which as soon as it arrived you could smell there was something wrong she didn't eat it and sent it back.T hey did refund the money but for a quite Wednesday night it was a slow service and there was no excuse for serving out food like that.

I've found the food absolutely amazing every time I decide to head down to williamstown I'm never disappointed. The staff are well mannered and are very caring if my partner and I needed anything. The new menu is actually really nice especially the lamb with herbs it was cooked just right .

Was a regular of this place from 1992-2001 and absolutely loved it. Have been back twice and the food quality is really average. Ordered the fish & chips, fish was dry as and the salad had lots of brown spots on it.  Dessert was very boring in a glass that my kid could have made. Waiter tripped causing the ice-cream to spill over the top of the rim but served it to me anyway.  Really disappointed as this was the IT place to be at.

The last time we went we found the food to be quite average.<br/>My poached eggs were overcooked and my toast was soaked with the vinegar water from the eggs..<br/>The restaurant was empty except for 3 tables at 11am on a weekend which in hindsight should have been our first clue, the staff had no energy, very slow and didn't seem to want to be there.<br/>Also very dark and dank inside toward the back of the restaurant.. a few lamps or something would liven the place up a bit.

Came here for lunch today, heard a lot of good things but wasn't overly impressed the wait staff were extremely nice but the waitress was leaning our meals on her stomach as she brought them to us, she almost spilt my partners coffee everywhere and the food was low quality pub meals at best I would be happy to eat here again if you take a third off the menu prices.

We had two hours to spend in Williamstown before taking the next ferry back to the city, but we waited 45 minutes for the food. Had to quickly gobble up the food when it finally arrived and didn't get to enjoy the food even if it was delicious. The soup of the day we ordered didn't even get served because the waitress forgot about it.

Love this place! How can you not love cooking your own beautiful cut of steak just the way you like it with a choice of heaps of delicious sauces and chips!!!

Went for breakfast last weekend during our bike ride. I ordered fried eggs easy over, The waitress was disinterested and did not seem to listen to my explanation that when flippng the eggs it should just seal them so they remained soft.  Unfortunately my eggs arrived hard cooked.  When I took my teapot up to the counter to get it re-filled with hot water, which I have done all over Melbourne countless times, she told me I could only get it a quarter filled. So all in all, a disappointing experience and of course I will never return. How easy is it to be accommodating and keep your customers happy.

Not sure why the rating is so low but I liked the stone grill experience of this place. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.<br/><br/>The serve size was good for its price and I'd definitely come back

This place has great service and is very warm inside. The food is solid and not fancy and the atmosphere is inviting. Close to Williamstown sights.

Stopped by there today and had one of the best steaks I've had in a while. The service was good and prompt and the price was decent. Would come back in heartbeat!

Waste of time went there today had the beef burgers the worst ever and not clean waitress cleaned the table and brushed everything off the table and on the floor. Save your money people@

The Fish and Chips are awesome. Just visited atomic bar tonight for dinner. Great service, great food and great atmosphere. I ordered the fish and chips and was not disappointed. Highly recommend.

Looking at the past reviews compared to now it is clear that the new team in place is on to bigger and better things! <br/>The level of professionalism, expertise and love for food is shown in each and every dish served. I strongly believe that we will see great things coming from that little kitchen very soon! <br/><br/>I was there yesterday - Sunday lunch for a catch up with friends and had the best time! We were served by a helpful and informative waitress and had prompt service. Although they were nearly at capacity with guest they food came out within a good amount of time taking into consideration the amount of people. <br/><br/>To the people who are reading this, just remember, when people are writing bad reviews due to "waiting" or " the steak took to long" ....a steak/any food takes time to cook and make into perfection...if you wanted your steak to come out in 10 mins you might as well go to McDonald's or the kebab van down the road were the food has been sitting there all day. <br/><br/>I will be returning for more delicious food very soon! <br/><br/>Great work guys! keep it up!

Amazing food. I enjoyed another great Parma yesterday from the atomic bar. With the combination of their chips and gravy it was delicious. It was definitely a positive experience with great food , great staff and even tho it was busy ( as you can imagine on a sunny Sunday ) our food came out in a timely manner. Very impressed.

A lovely sunday lunch. We chose atomic bar. Have eaten there before but the new menu caught our eye. Every place on the strip looked very busy. And atomic bar wasn't an exception. It was busy and there was a wait but the wait staff told us before we ordered. that is expected with a full restaurant. With the company of my family, Good coffee and the lovely sun the time passed And when the food came out it was lovely. Very enjoyable and tasty. We will be back it was a lovely afternoon

SLOWEST SERVICE!!!. Don't bother!!!! Food took one and a half hours to come out, wasn't even all that flash anyway. If they had of told us it was such a long wait, we wouldn't have waited in the first place!

LOVE IT. Amazing food and amazing service never a disappointment, definitely one of my favourite places to have a nice quiet meal and drinks with a few friends.

Avoid at all costs!. Indedible food and even worse customer service! Why would you like to ruin your time with the loved ones in this place!

Slow food/service. The fish and chips took forever to come. it would have been quicker for me to go to the bait store, buy the worms, throw a line in and catch a bloody fish

Fantastic Venue. Had a 21st party in the function room on the weekend, having not been here before and having family attend was unsure of how it would go.<br/>Night went off without a hitch, staff were great, no complains at all, great size room, food tasted great, was nice and hot and came out on time. Barman was great and energetic.<br/>Staff were freindly from start to finish, helping organise the food and drinks to helping set up on the night. <br/>All guests left happy.<br/>Will be organising the next even here again. <br/>Thanks heaps guy.

LONG WAIT FOR NOT MUCH. Waited almost an hour and a half for a plate of pasta and pulled pork burger. Who cares what it tasted like by then we would have eaten anything they put in front of us. Wont be back.

Lovely bar and great food nothing to complain. Don't know why this bar got so many bad reviews every time we went its always great experience. Great food and fast service wait staff also attentive and friendly. Its our local hangout spot always good vibe.

Great location shame everything else about it is so very poor, food, price, service I have nothing good to say about it at all other than I hope the restaurants around it do well

AVOID! We waited 40 minutes for our food, the service was rude and humourless, and extremely overpriced for what it was ($24 for a small-sized parmer). The icing on the cake was that we couldn't split the bill! There's a reason why this place is virtually empty on a nice Saturday evening.

Fantastic. I held my wedding reception at Atomic Bar this weekend and i was extremely impressed. After reading so many bad reviews i was quite nervous so pleasantly surprised by the amazing staff who went above and beyond and the food which had all the quests raving! Atomic Bar helped to make my wedding perfect and i have absolutely no compliant whatsoever.

Miss the Cajun. I have not been to atomic bar for a while. (Years Infact) I was hoping they still made the Cajun chicken burgers I religiously visited for, but it's been a while. (And n-I it was not on the menu) I opted for breaky (served until 3) and my friends ordered chicken burgers. Visually the chicken burgers have changed, a little smaller can't comment on taste. Breakfast was ok, poached eggs were done relatively well cooked, the toast was extremely hard to cut or bite, the tomato salsa with dukkah was a little too strong tasting (maybe cumin? ) for my liking but that's a personal opinion. Hardly any avo. It was all a little dry needed a sauce. The salsa was more of a chopped fresh tomato style. The staff were so sweet friendly and lovely. Even though unfortunately I did not enjoy my meal as much as I would have hoped, I would still return as I have a feeling it was just a one off nqr order.

Was that salmon or a gold fish?. My friend ordered the porterhouse grill which came out 1st. Was a large piece of meat (no complaints) with a tiny pathetic side salad and mushroom sauce that wasn't enjoyable. Then my salmon grill came out and the piece of fish was so small it actually cooked in 3 minutes and again the size of the salad wouldn't be enough to satisfy a 3 year old. The concept was good and I would of been happy if I only paid $15 for my meal but $26 for what I got was a joke

Very disappointed! Wasn't much variety on the menu and very little detail as to what each menu item contains. I ordered the School Prawns and was expecting some nice fresh seafood because we were so close to the beach, but I was disappointed to received a bowl full of shrimp that were still whole and extremely oily and salty (so much it was inedible). To make it worse we waited 1 hour for our meals to come out from the kitchen and the place was not even busy on that evening. The staff were far from friendly brushing past when we wished to get their attention and when we did finally flag one down she was quick wind up the question and walked away. The pricing of each menu item was also far from value for money, which given the price I was expecting a more hearty meal. <br/>Overall I was extremely disappointed and I now know why the surrounding eateries had queues out of the door and this place was empty. 1/5 stars at best.

Very dissapointed. My wife and I went for a late breakfast here. After reading the menu and ordering drinks and food, we had a waitress come back and tell us the breakfast menu had stopped at 12, although the menu stated breakfast untill 3 pm.<br/>The waitress then said "oh yeah we should probably change that, it's been like that for ages."<br/>Shame we had to find out after the drinks had been served.<br/>Left and found good service elsewhere in Williamstown.

This place had gone bad. I remember goin there20 years ago on a regular basis. Never had a problem. Was there yesterday from the minute I got in, the waiter said there is a 25 minute wait before we were seated. This guy needs to be trained , once the six of us were seated it just went sour from that moment 5 people were having dessert n coffee and I was Having a pizza. Well let me tell you after I ordered not even 1 minute after I asked a waitress to add pineapple to my pizza she said I can't do that because there's no dough to make the pizza. Like seriously I've already ordered , anyway she discussed with manager came back and said all good pizza will be ready soon. She was a little brat with attitude I asked her for 6 plates for the pizza Incase someone wanted a slice she brang me 6 coffe cup plates and just dumped them on the table. This person needs the sack. Also I don't no were the pizza came from. As they told me they ran out of dough. To top it all off after all that that the pizza was crap wAs like a 2 year old made it in kinder. amazing wen the head chef is not around the place turns into a circus.<br/>Pizza was so hot I only had 3 slices in desperation. I shouldn't of paid a cent for my meal. Rather make toasted sandwiches at home.

The food is fine but the service seems discriminated voucher customer! Hopefully the staff will allocate a table with more space for the customer who comes with pram next time! Last time when four of us had dinner, the staff allocated a table which was near the door, if we didn't come with a pram, it should be find. But since the pram had a baby inside, every time people comes in the restuarant, cool wind comes through, made a baby cool! On the hand, the staff may give us a table near the window, it had more spare for the pram! But the staff did not, the table had no reservation, they just wanted to give some beautiful girls and they did not come with voucher! This makes me think the restuarant discriminates voucher customer!

Terrible. Staff were rude from the minute we got there, table wasn't cleared for 15 minutes after we sat down. We were a group of 3 and 1 meal came out, 45 minutes later the other 2 meals came out after complaining twice. Food was so average, will never return.

Utterly revolting. For a place with such an incredible outlook, the food was disgusting, over cooked chips, dry beef burgers, sweet balsamic glaze on a Greek salad that left the whole salad inedible, roasted pork belly with flaccid crackling, which had a very strange orange sauce dolloped liberally all over the top, the reason for this sauce became evident when once taken away it was being used to disguise strange smelling and tasting pork. The hash brown in the breakfast had had a previous life as a hockey puck and tasted about as good as I imagine a hockey puck could taste. The clincher to this meal however came in the discussion process regarding the meal with the manager who suggested she was scared to take our food back to the kitchen for fear of what the chef would say ... This just sums up the inadequacy of the whole experience a chef who blatantly can't cook but has everyone running around so scared no one can tell him/her that their feeble taste buds and lack of cooking skills are going to sink this restaurant faster than the iceberg that hit the titanic - epic fail

Waited 45 minutes for one meal, then 20 minutes later the other two came out. We weren't expecting fine dining service but this is pretty basic stuff. Coconut rice was plain rice, steamed and undercooked. Staff looked liked they'd rather be in a train wreck than working there. Disappointing.

$2 for Parmesan Cheese! How much for cracked pepper!!

Nice but not amazing. Just another average restaurant... ok food. ok service. nothing specific to complain about but just found it average.

Grabbed a table of 3 for dinner tonight... Food was great and the young waitress was very nice. Only thing that lacked was that we had to wait awhile to order drinks. There seemed to be only one waitress working the whole entire restaurant tonight. Lack of staff let us down tonight.

Although it was a busy day and it is to be expected that 'special days' will be, we went with the flow of the 'sunny Williamstown' atmosphere, and dispelled the grumpy customers in our midst... perhaps they should have eaten somewhere else. Drinks all round fabulous fast service and home made raspberry cheesecake to top off the day which just melted in our mouths :) well done Atomic Bar for a fabulous Mothers Day.. We only stopped by for a few entrees and coffees - bruschetta and eggplant chips. The food and service was fine, the only thing I could critique is that they didn't clear our plates after we had finished eating.

Will never be back! 4 meals ordered, 3 were ok, just, nothing special considering high prices but the 4th meal was inedible it was a soft crab burger and it was full of the shell and way too much chilli and just awfeful. manager was called and was incredibly rude and said bad luck to me this is how its supposed to be... so i gave my eneaten meal back to him and he still charged me full prce, no offer of an alternate meal....disgusted

Walked in and noticed no air con on 45 degree day. Asked the waitress if they had air con and she replied rudely that it was too expensive to put on and they couldn't justify it. Oh ok 45 degrees outside and you can't see why u need to put on air con for your customers. With an attitude like that no thanks!

Attended early on NYE for dinner. Waitress was unhelpful stating I couldn't order a pizza without sundried tomatoes as there were no amendments for that night. Ridiculous! The restaurant was only a 1/4 full at 7pm. Meat was uncooked on the pizza and pizza was very greasy. Overpriced and we would not recommend.

S&P Calamari fantastic. Iced coffee and berry moc-daiquiri great too. Would come again

Once something is up on this site it can't be removed. In the majority of instances I don't mind what's written, everyone is entitled to their opinion - but when someone like yourself writes blatant lies about our food I take offence<br/><br/>The only two items that are not house made are our regular chips & bread – the rest of our food is not cheap processed crap - it's the real deal. It's unfortunate that you don't seem to know the difference. <br/><br/>I'm sure now that you've signed up to Urbansoon you'll enjoy lying about other restaurants and cafes that you go to. I hope other venue also stand up for themselves when they read things that contain absolutely no merit.

Another magnificent meal at Atomic Bar. Service friendly and prompt. Food a delight. Travel far for their famous "fresh" calamari. Being from a greek background and raised with only the best seafood i am always in search of high standards. well done Atomic.

All our food today was cheap processed crap. We paid $23 for salt and pepper calamari that was not only processed crap but was also tasteless and not restaurant quality. The waiter when asked to take the food away stated that it was all fresh and made in house when it was clear the chips were frozen crap as well and didn't offer anything in replacement for this full and untouched meal but also didn't offer a refund. I remember going here many times before (a few years back now) and the food always being great so it's disappointing that the quality has taken a dive and I won't be back

Thank god I found a cafe on this strip that makes a decent coffee and you get it with a smile for once!

Had dinner here tonight and we both have porterhouse steak on stone grill which comes with crispy chips and salad. It was really nice and the service was friendly and efficient! We also enjoyed our dessert too! Will definitely be back!

I had the fish and chips - the chips were undercooked and the chef got overly excited with the salt on the fish, needless to say, will not come back again

Dinner and drinks. I enjoyed a lovely Friday night with my family at the Atomic Bar. The service was fabulous, the wine divine and I devoured the yummiest plate of Gnocci in this side of the bridge.

Had dinner here on Friday night with family from out of town. Wonderful food and great service. We'll be back.

Breakfast for Father's Day with my Sons couldn't have been made more enjoyable. The waitress greeted us with a beautiful smile and was very friendly she couldn't have been more accommodating to all of us, nothing was too much trouble. Great food and service. Wouldn't hesitate recommending this establishment even in the busy time that we were there everything was spot on

Great service. Recently had my sons baptism at this venue and I must say I was very impressed at not only the service from all staff in the resturant but also the food was spot on!! Loved the presentation of the steak that you cook yourself on a hot stone, what a great idea. I will certainly be back and would recommend it to anyone else!!

The rating for Atomic in no way paints a true picture. The new chef has lifted the food to a fabulous standard which will make me return many times over.. Fresh & catering for all types the modern cuisine hits the spot, of which I'd recommend the smoked salmon stack or mushroom burger... Def. a must for a great dining experience if in Williamstown..

Perfect Breakfast. Last Sunday my partner and I headed out mid morning and randomly selected Atomic Bar for breakfast. By far the food and service is better than I had anticipated. The Big Breakfast that is served has the best Chorizo I have ever had, by far an amazing mix of herbs cooked into the mushroom serving and the bacon portions were better than phenomenal. <br/><br/>I would recommend Atomic Bar to anyone for a Sunday Brunch/Lunch. The customer service was excellent to the point I gave the waitress the feedback on how good she was to us.

Not as bad as the rating would suggest. Went there for lunch recently, didn't check the rating until afterwards and was surprised to see if sitting on 41%.The food was OK, I had the mooing cow burger, good size, reasonable, my better half had the Greek salad with chicken, OK for the money. The service was a little frosty upon first arriving, as was the temperature inside, why do the suburbs not believe in heating.... Overall not a bad experience.

I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. We stopped in for a couple if entree before a wedding ceremony around the corner. We shared the bread & dips which had lots of flavours and the calamari which was quite juicy. Service was quick as we explained we only had about 20 minutes to eat. Prices are quite high but given it is Williamstown, this is to be expected. Wasn't too busy at the time so this might explain the good food and service based on other reviews but I did enjoy and would go back.

Went on a sunday night recently to the atomic. it was our first time here. two english peope (one girl and one guy) served us and we had a great experience. they were so friendly, welcoming and funny and we really enjoyed our time. the only negative was the decor needs updating but we had great food. all in all excellent.

Food is awful and so is service. Was told there was no changes or substitutions by waitress (short hair on rounder side) when I asked for no ham on my pizza and when I wanted something else with no ham I had to ask for it on the side in order not to have it at all. Don't go.

Good experience, would go there again. I came here for dinner with the family. I had a beef burger which was wayyy too peppery and dry. overall the experience was good, we were offered drinks and they came out promptly.<br/><br/>I would recommend this place

Great lunch @ Atomic Bar. I booked Atomic Bar for my son's birthday. Right from the onset my emails to Atomic Bar were replied swiftly - my son has a wheat allergy and I was asking if their chips were 'beer battered'. Lara was wonderful and found out straight away for me by asking the chef and responding to my email within the hour. I then booked a table for 14 last Saturday. What impressed me most was that as part of the reservation (which was 2 weeks prior)when I arrived, it was noted that my son had a wheat allergy - I did not have to remind them when I ordered my son's chips. The food/drinks arrived swiftly and the food was great. The staff were prompt with re-filling jugs of water/asking if we needed anything else. I also bought some gluten free cupcakes and they stored these away and when we were ready; they took them out of the box and arranged them nicely on a plate and included two sparklers with my son's birthday candle. I was most impressed with this level of service and look forward to returning.

Owner Get new staff. I was part of the party of 10 having been invited their by my daughter, if i had read the reviews i would not have wasted my time driving for 45 minutes to get to the Atomic Bar, it should be called the Atomic Bomb because all the staff need one, boy did they do a great job in stuffing up our Mothers day experience, could not even get the drinks right after finally getting someones attention, it was not busy at 2pm when we ordered our meals but we walked out at 3.10pm because they had still not arrived how long does it take to cook some fish and chips. To the owner, fire all the staff before they cost you your business, worst dining experience in twenty years for me

Embarrassment to owners. Tried to shove ten people on a table that would tightly fit 8 (if you dont mind the person behind you with their chair in back) took over ten minutes to be asked for a drink. Messed up that and then took over an hour for burgers and chips. Save your money. Find it sooo hard to believe anyone could have a good experience here, guessing their paid staff have written the okay comments. Wait staff dress as you would expect a sour 3 day old scent to follow them, the cleanliness is not apparent. Saw a waitress pull a cloth out of her back pocket to wipe down a table, and it was the same cloth she was 'polishing' the cultery with. After that, we left before eating.

Happily Surprised. I live in the area and have always had a pretty good experience at Atomic. I must say that some of the reviews are pretty full on so I've stayed away for quite sometime. There was a group of 10 of us all from the local area heading out for a birthday, I love the Stone Grill so thought I'd bite the bullet & recommend Atomic. I had the Eye Fillet Stone Grill (actually 4 of us did) the others tried the Eye Fillet on the specials board which was served with a fried egg & finally a couple of different pasta dishes. We couldn't fault any of them. Service was pretty good. Staff were very attentive, asked us several times if I wanted another drink.....let us know about desserts....all I can say is that I was happily surprised with the whole experience & will be back.

I found the whole experience of eating here to be a little bland and unrewarding. The girl standing at the front door gives you a welcoming that makes you feel like you're trying to get into a seedy nightclub. The kids working in there seem to be disgruntled that they're missing their Sunday cartoons and so smiles and manners aren't on the menu. The bacon was cheap and fatty and the whole dish lacked any flavour or effort.

Just Average. Have had a few meals here, had something different every time, the Steak Sandwich was the best, the rest was nothing special . Keep away from the soft drinks they taste terrible and are overpriced. Service can be ok, some staff are good, some like to ignore you.

NEVER again. This restaurant is appalling. This was my second time here- I thought I would give this place a second chance (my gnocchi first time round was glugy, overcooked into mash potato basically & was as though a whole tub of cream had been poured into it). It has not improved at all. You wouldn't think they could get a simple greek salad (with chicken) wrong, but boy, they sure can. For nearly $20 I paid for a tiny portion of salad- the lettuce had rotten ends, the feta was melted all through the salad to a point where I actually first thought they had put caesar dressing on my greek salad! And the chicken was not fresh, 'real' chicken, it was obviously some sort of pre-packed processed chicken with no flavour. It was disgusting. <br/><br/>Not to mention they forgot our orange juice, and the waitress had no idea what she was doing- I overheard her giving the table next to us last week's specials, only realising what she had done as the couple was ready to order. <br/><br/>NEVER AGAIN.
