This was easily one of the best Pizzas I had in my life and the best outside of Italy, that's for sure. Can't praise it enough. True to the minimalistic original, these guys do a masterclass Pizza. Just don't expect the thick Aussie version with chicken, bbq sauce and double cheese - you won't get it here.

The best Pizza in Melbourne! Wood oven pizzas of superb quality rival the European original. They are made with few plain ingredients but amazing tasting. This place is a gem and a treat for special occasions.

I am a true pizza lover and this is equal best pizza in Melbourne. For traditional style wildfire pizza look no further, if you're really hungry go for the meat calzone. AND the polish waitress is beautiful

Great Traditional Italian Style Pizza.Only criticism is the place wont take orders after 9:30, even Friday Evenings. Shame. If you get here at this time, you have 1/2 an hour to get over to North Willi and still get a pizza from d' Asporto Pizza which is also a traditional Italian style pizzeria at a slightly cheaper price. Update- July 2019. Altro CLosed. Re-badged as 3 Grains. Menu (especially the Pizzas) looks the same. BUT!......they have placed a 55 cm TV in the corner of the restaurant. Its such an eye sore! i saw it from the outside and they had 7 news blaring out. That's is not what people want when they dine out at supposedly "up-market" Pizza establishment. Did not enter.

This was undeniably the worst pizza I've ever had in Australia (one in Bolivia was marginally crapper). We ordered two off Uber Eats, it arrived promptly but was soggy, flavourless and at $40 (including delivery) left our family of three feeling disappointed, angry and still hungry. I'm all for thin crust pizza, but these were basically pita bread pancakes full of sop. No love, no joy, no satisfaction. half a star, one out of ten, never again, take your business elsewhere.

Delicious pizza, loved the atmosphere, and also very accommodating for vegan and vegetarians. If you want an authentic Italian pizza you must check this place out! 10/10

Great quality pizzas and calzoni! People are very professional and friendly. This is my place where I can have an excellent pizza and special italian beers like MENABREA. you dont need to go to Italy for have a real, authentic pizza. the price is on the average. The place is perfect for friends and couples.

We've recently started frequenting Altro pizza. We have young kids so we dine early and the pizzas arrive very promptly. Pizzas are delicious! Dough is stretchy and scrumptious and with a great variety of toppings. I had the GF base pizza recently, oh my wow the best I've ever had: light and crunchy! Highly recommended 👍

By far the best pizza I've had in Melbourne. The wood fired dough was cooked to perfection with the light and airy crust an absolute highlight. The toppings were fresh and perfectly balanced with the spicy "Diavola" the standout! We had a garlic focaccia plus 4 pizzas between 5 and not a crumb was left. The atmosphere is relaxed and the beer was cold! We'll be back again soon!

Well we heard that this place served great Vegan pizza, and wow, we were not disappointed! It was absolutely delicious, and I would not even have known it was vegan!! We only tried 2 today, the Ortolana and the San Ciro, but will be going back to try the others for sure. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere too, plus you can go for a lovely walk along the Williamstown waterfront after you've enjoyed your pizza goodness!

I am a vegan and Altro has introduced their vegan menu 3 weeks ago which goes back to basics, using fresh colourful ingredients that complement each other on the lightest base. Pure heaven!!!

Wowsers never have I had such fabulous hospitality, coffee, pizza and dessert in my life until Altro. I don't just recommend you to go, I would tell you to go so that you don't miss out on the true taste of Italy in Williamstown. Thank you so much Altro xxx

It took close to an hour to get a pizza into myself and my starving 9 year old. This was with the place totally empty so I would hate to see how long it would take if it was full. Staff wandering in and take-away patrons have priority over eat-in guests. I emailed the business to let them know my disappointment but got no response. Also, it's great to have Italian waiters but it would be more useful if they can understand English.

The pizza was great but when we ordered desert, they all (3 different types) came out separately and 10-15 minutes apart. It was very strange and when we asked why, we were informed by the staff that they are all cooked separately. It just didn't make sense. We each ordered 3 different main courses and they came out at the same time. The most annoying thing was that the Manager didn't seem to think it was an issue. We haven't been back since and probably won't .

We frequent Altro on a regular basis with our daughter, get in early, eat and go. Pizzas and pasta are delicious, a lovely little restaurant tucked away next to the post office in Williamstown, were always happy with the food here

Very authentic Italian food, Vegetarian Calzone was spot on, very nice atmosphere and attentive staff, will be back for sure
