Awesome pizzas. Got to respect a traditional Italian pizza place that will still serve Hawaiian but calls it “the violation”. Great kids make at home pizza packs. Got kids then don’t pass this up. Last but not least “Don’t forget the cannoli” as the orange one is awesome. Best pizza place in the area by far

We had a fantastic family lunch at 3 GRAINS. The pizza was great - light, airy base with a really nutty flavour, great toppings and the GF vegan was one of the best I have had. There was a good range of vegan options and no extra charge which is refreshing! The atmosphere was really welcoming and friendly, service was quick and attentive and the staff went out of their way to make it fun for my two young boys. We will definitely dine here again, a great new addition to the Williamstown dining scene
Visited this place because they have a vegan menu. For entree I ordered the seasonal roast veggies (the chef was able to replace the mozzerella with the vegan version), it can easily be shared between 2-3 people. For main, I got the pizza with zucchini on it. Really enjoyed the food. Will return!

A cute little hidden gem in Williamstown. Genuinely surprised I didn't hear about it sooner, but was ecstatic to see a big vegan menu full of options. Stuck to a plain margarita for today (sometimes as a vegan you crave that old simple taste!!) and it didn't disappoint. Will definitely be returning to try more flavours - especially the vegan Nutella pizza!! HeLLO!

A nice new entry in Williamstown. A cozy place with friendly staff and good Roma-style pizza. Do not expect round pizza and do not go for “red base” pizza. What you want here is a white-base pizza with premium toppings and a nice beer. Recomended
Very good pizza, fresh ingredients, good dough, the pizza diavola was really tasty and quite spicy. The place is nice, in a good position in Williamstown.
In a word - WOW! Beautifully made pizzas, best we have ever eaten. Shame we don't live nearby as we would be back every week! Vegan menu is superb, bases are authentic and service was great. Keep up the great work!
Had dinner there this evening, the pizza and service were fantastic. The pizza is amazing, it is very evident that they try to keep it as authentic as possible. I would recommend this place to anyone and can't wait to go back.
Southern Italian style pizza. Our first visit. The bases were the highlight and cooked to perfection. The quality of the topping was good. However we came for an evening birthday celebration but felt we were turned around pretty quickly. So while the service was fast we never really felt like we were settled in and everything was whisked off the table promptly. I personally do not like the hard steel stools as they become uncomfortable after 30 mins. No rush to come back as there are many good places in the area.
The most yummy pizza and pasta! We had the margarita pizza to start with then two pastas - all of which was very tasty. Very impressed with the food and very cosy atmosphere also 😊
Yum.. full of flavour speedy and remain hot take away. Dasporto in Willy North similar flavours perhaps a little bit less expensive than Altro .. But both venues worth visiting if you want great pizza

Altro is well known in the Williamstown area for having the best and most authentic Italian wood fired pizza. We made a booking for Friday night on a warm daylight savings evening. The restaurant is just up from the water and there’s a beautiful breeze in the outdoor area, especially in summer.
As a pizza lover I have eaten at every decent pizza restaurant in Melbourne and I can honestly say this is the best. Amazing and authentic woodfired Italian pizza. This gem in Williamstown is worth every penny. Great service, great atmosphere, great beer and 10 out of 10 pizza.
If you asked me what my favourite food is the answer is Pizza. For those of you who consider themselves pizza enthusiasts, this place is an absolute knock out. In fact, this is the best gourmet wood-fire pizzeria in the west in my opinion.
Traditional Italian food from back home, pizza is tasty, fluffy, simple and full of flavour. If you love prosciutto do yourself a favour and try the San Daniele you will not be disappointed!
Pasta is okay not a standout like their pizza.

Unfortunately I have to move from Williamstown area so will be harder come back often in Altro pizza, where I found the best pizza in all Melbourne. The pizzas look like Neapolitan style with the classic black dots on the edge. Yummy! Even if look huge for one person is very light and I can finish one easily.
After a tough day in the garden, we had no energy left to cook, so we headed down to grab some takeaway pizzas.
What a blessing that turned out to be!!

Somebody on zomato mentioned that Motorino is much better than Altro so I decided to pay a visit. I have been here twice and can confirm without any doubt that Altro represents the real Italian deal to a 100% and is (not much) but better than Motorino.
The venue is modern, colorful and spacious with a hip approach to food and service. The pizza list will satisfy most tastes and is served literally within minutes as per Italian standards. I had a typical Diavola and also a Lucca with prosciutto and rocket and both were excellent. The dough was soft and super thin moist on the top and dry on the bottom and the crust was best in class and super tasty.
I might even rate this place with a 5.0 but 4.5 is good for now in terms of quality/price/size as prices tend to be slightly on the upper side although there are still venues more expensive around Melbourne. Highly recommended if you're after a real Italian pizza in the Western suburbs.
PS. One small disappointment was the lack of olive oil at every table or at least in a bottle when requested. I got a small bowl with tea spoon to pour over my pizza. Acceptable but an Italian place should be prepared to buy a few bottles of virgin olive oil.

I finally had the chance to try out their desserts and ordered a white chocolate pizza with strawberries. The price is only $10 but the size is small. Service was super quick as usual and the pizza very nice. The Belgian white chocolate was very good but it must have been taken out of a fridge and placed on the pizza halfway through the cooking process. My pizza still had a small cold chunk of chocolate in the very middle so either keep the pizza in the oven for 2 more minutes or don't store it in the refrigerator. I would also get rid of the additional icing sugar as this pizza is so bloody sweet that some individuals might have a challenge to eat everything. An espresso is a must when you have a dessert pizza at Altro.
Came here a few months ago after finding it on here and we were pleasantly surprised. Though we almost missed it as we drove by. The service was a little slow to start with but the food came out fast. The waiter seemed a little preoccupied and ordered us the wrong entree but everything else was great. The pizza bases were delicious and the sauces great. The desserts were a little average though, with the pannacotta being too hard set and being almost like a hard gelatinous dairy product. That needs work. But otherwise we enjoyed our night but would probably be only back for pizza.
A new modern space serving Roman style pizzas. The pizzas are reasonable but there is some attention needed. On the night we visited, the restaurant wasn't busy but the food came out in such a hap hazard way. We ordered a pizza and a caprese salad, the pizza came out within 3 minutes and the salad came out 15 minutes later! The staff were friendly but I think they need to tighten things up.

Finally found a place with a traditional woodfire pizza and even has the imported red peroni's which I can't find anywhere else! Food was amazing and so was the customer service 👍🏻👍🏻Prawns on a pizza=genius
Came in with some friends to try the pizza...awesome! It was the authentic Napoli style pizza! We really enjoyed our dinner also because the stuff was very friendly (especially the owner, Pedja!). We definetly will come back to try other "Specials from the board"!

Really nice pizza!. It is good to see more traditional Napoli pizza places popping up in Melbourne. Altro is one of these, and a little easier to get to via public transport than Motorino. Oddly, I learned about it on the Willy line, sitting in front of a gaggle of cool private school girls, one of whom was whining because her family was going out for pizza at this place that her Dad liked because it had traditional Italian pizza, *yet again* (apparently it was a weekly occurrence, at least). ... Thankfully she managed to drop the name 'Altro' into the conversation, and I was taking notes.
The girl's Dad definitely does have taste - the pizza was indeed very nice, and very authentic, although over-priced for the size (Motorino's definitely wins on the price front). We also shared a rucola salad, which was a standout - the dressing was delicious, and with just the right amount of sweetness to balance the peppery rocket.
Lacking were some of the fine details. The pizza was taken out of the oven and put on cold china plates, meaning that it cooled and congealed very quickly, and before we could finish it. The waiter also needed more training in managing the somewhat spendy wine list. We ordered a bottle, but that was apparently not available, so we were presented with two glasses instead, and told we could order other wine by the glass (I mean, please!). We'll be back, because it really was good pizza, but again it falls into the 'indulgence' category, rather than the cheap eats one. But then I guess if Willy's 'working families' can afford it regularly there is no impetus to reduce prices.

Fantastic pizza!. Is this the best authentic Naples style pizza oven pizza I've ever had? Not sure, but it would have to be in the top 3, and as my waistline can attest, I have had a lotta pizza over the years. Altro is little and intimate, with attentive service and sublime no-fuss food. We started with arancini balls and bruschetta, both were flavoursome and fresh-tasting. The arancini were soft and pillowy, each one a different flavour. The main event pizzas were everything we'd hoped they would be, crispy yet chewy, with perfectly balanced toppings. The salmon pizza in particular was amazing. We wished we had more room for dessert pizza but had made pigs of ourselves. Next time!
Great Find!!!!. Found a great pizza place where they make wood fire pizzas the way they should be made (By hand). Very thin base and yummy ingredients.
What a wake up call, very smooth taste and the right amount of everything that tastes good.Tried the salsiccia friarielli ,(had it once before somewhere in Italy),it was from what I remember the same if not better than the one I had.
The nutella pizza with ice cream and strawberries to die for.And a great selection of wine.

Best pizza in town : I went there with my girlfriend and her family for dinner and we had 4 gorgeous pizzas, grate thin and cruncy base.
We could notice that the toppings were fresh and of top qualities ... Since I left Italy this is the best pizza I ve eaten so far

Amazing! Brilliant food in a great space. Loved the chilled, colorful fit out; the great service and music; but most of all, the food. Prosciutto piadina was so tasty. Lunch menu is ridiculously well priced - $9 for a piadina; around $13 for piadina, coffee anda profiterole! Definitely a winner!

Hidden Gem*****. Totally worth a trip to the other side of town with our teenage sons in a quest to find the best pizza and pasta places in Melbourne. Quite a challenge after our previous visit to D.O.C, they've raised the bar so high. The vibe in restaurant is kind of trendy yet its still personable. We've started with San Daniele prosciutto with rock melon, Yummm. Then wood-fired pizzas came along shortly after. Altro Margherita, my youngest son is still raving that it was the best cheese pizza he ever had. we also tried Gamberi with prawns, and the best of all Lucca, it's a must have. Pizza was so great and we were full but could not resist to finish the dinner with something sweet, a white Belgium chocolate with strawberry pizza to share and coffee (these guys know how to make a good Italian style coffee). The staff was so friendly so that my older son asked (and got a positive answer) if he could have a private birthday party and invite his friends to come along. It definitely tops in our books, see you soon.

Excellent Pizza. I love my pizza and can be extremely critical about it. Stumbled across this one where I didn’t expect it. Came from Geelong to try it and found an amazing very simple but so tasty and authentic pizza. I have been back a few times and so far so good. The difference is a wood oven and the dough.
If you don't like real Italian pizzas go to Pizza Hut where you’ll get plenty of toppings spread to the edge. Stop bad mouthing such a good pizza place.
Beautiful pizza, we're really big fans of this place for take away. Might be worth adding some ambiance for eating in (background music, softer lighting ect) The last few times we were in there was an awkward vibe, accompanied with only the sound of the kitchen staff talking, which has put me off the idea of eating in.
This would have to be the best pizza I have ever eaten and everyone I have taken there says the same thing. Anyone that says otherwise is an idiot.
