Review Amrosa - Williamstown

Chandi Dinayadura
The service is quick, the food is tasty. If you want any of the meals charged, just ask and the they are now than happy to charge. Do get the garlic bread. If you like things spicy, they give you chilli two ways.

We’ve been here twice booked through the fork with 50% off the total bill the food is really delicious and the service is excellent I recommend the Atlantic salmon and arncini balls

Food was absolutely delicious and fresh. Hands down, one of the best Italian restaurants in Melbourne. The service was equally excellent. The waiter was very attentive and made sure that we were happy, including our little toddler! Will definitely be coming back.

Really disappointing. We had a groupon voucher so picked up our Hawaiian and Supreme pizzas for takeaway a couple of weeks ago but they were both extremely average. I fully believe that even bad pizza is usually still fulfilling but these were bland and soggy - I think they were maybe undercooked. Definitely a shame and we wouldn’t bother again.

Waited for almost an hour for our food, and it wasn't even busy! No apology or mention of the delay. Ordered gluten free pasta and what came out looked like porridge. The chef blamed it on the pasta. They didn't even bother offering us coffee or desert. This place used to be very good a couple of years ago but has plummeted in popularity since the new ownership. Way overpriced for what it is. Unfortunately, we will never go back!

Cafe was only 1/3 full but told that they’d run out of mugs so I could only have a smaller coffee or a large in a takeaway cup. Coffees took so long to come out and were not nice coffees. My two vegetarian friends ordered a side of baked beans but when it came out it had ham through it (even though it did not state this on the menu). They were then told they could not make the baked beans without the ham in it. My bread was soggy. I had a hair on my meal. Taste of food was average. Our meals came out separately with a long gap between the first and the other two. When we paid and ordered two gingerbread to go, they only gave us one, and we needed to remind them we had ordered and payed for two. Will not be going back.

My meal took nearly an hour to be served after my entree. I ordered the veal saltambocca. It was so salty I could hardly eat it. That’s the second meal I have had there that I thought was very ordinary?. There used to be full of Italian staff as it is Italian cuisine? there but now it seems they are all Indian??

My daughter and I had lunch here recently. We were not very impressed. There appeared to be only one waiter and, although the restaurant wasn't crowded by any means (only one other table occupied), we waited ages for our order. We both ordered corn fritters with smoked salmon, avocado and red onion salad. The fritters, when they arrived, were dry and burnt, certainly not worth $13.50

Ordered breakfast, lots of oil left on the plate. Also fresh squeezed orange juice, it came straight out of the bottle. I asked about this and was told it was freshly squeezed. It was replaced by the same freshly poured from the bottle juice.

Just had pizza delivered and was the best traditional pizzas I've had in ages!! Will be back against and again, keep up the good work guys

Nice atmosphere, good coffee and lasagne... enjoyable place to while away some time.

Food is always good. The service is excellent - nothing is too much trouble

Awesome food & fantastic value. You can't go wrong at this place!

Yum! Just eating Sunday night take out as we speak. It is amazing!!! The restaurant was packed too which I was surprised by but the staff weren't (my surprised levelled at the fact it is a Sunday night and it's Williamstown).
La Ola Es Mia Cocina.
The food was pretty decent, with what they had on offer with their breakfast menu.

Information the place looks like it needs a bit of an update, as it looks a little tired on the inside.

I just ordered pasta from you and it took 45 minutes for it to be made, takeaway, when we were originally told 15 minutes. No offer of refund, no offer of a free beverage, no explanation. I am very disappointed.

This place had wonderful food! Fresh, hot and soooo flavoursome. We had anti pesto to start which was great - huge shoutout to the calamari which totally made me blissfully happy. The pizzas were really great and the toppings were fresh and the seafood pizzas had so much flavour! The fresh basil and rocket on top was great. Warm friendly service. We will be back!
Angela
Service is ok but very average food - pastas weren’t that great and the pizza base was more like a foccacia. The tables/chairs/menu are also very sticky so we moved to a table that was being cleaned and realised it was the cleaning spray that makes everything sticky! I guess you can say that the place is clean but doesn’t feel like it!

Went here based on the rating of Zomato and was uterally dissapointed. It started off with the poor customer service which i can understand can happen on weekends because there are young kids on. However it just went down hill. $12 for the bruschetta which I have attached a photo of. 2 pieces of sliced tomatoes and soggy rocket...not what you expect for that price. I specifically asked the staff member if there lasange would be microwaved as i had a bad experience last night where it was cold in the middle and she poliety said no it will be good here. We then were worried for our mains. We waited 50 minutes for our mains which doesn't bother us however when the quality of food that comes out is unetable there is a problem. My lasange was microwaved was dry bland and topped with plain napoli sauce. I had two bites and was cold so decided not to eat it. My dad ordered the veal which was $32 the broccoli wasn't cooked it..the size of the veal was smaller than my hand and was drowned in sauce which wasn't nice and topped with bacon that looked and tasted strange. He ate the veal which was dry and left the meal. Partner got the spaghetti with sausages. It was microwaved you could see the water at the bottom of the bowl the bits of sausages were dry and one didn't look cooked so he left it. Sister got a napoli pizza..luckily as we all shared this and weren't happy. This was a real shame we came out for a family lunch and were given this. My sister decided to complain which we dont normally complain but the fact 3/4 haardly touched their meal we had to. It's just not good enough the dishes they are serving up its the standard you would get at a RSL for $10. No manager there on site 16 girl said she was in charge gave a refund for some of our meals but thats not why we even complained in the first place. You cannot charge the prices you are for the quality of products that are coming out of that kitchen. When the other young worker came past as my sister was getting her wallet to pay she said to the other staff member with attitude um why? Whats the issue? The girl dealing with my sister just shaked her head like for her to stop talking. My sister saw and heard all of this mind you. Working in hospitality for 11 years not on not professional should not be talking to staff members infront of customers. This staff member with the attitude came to our table to collect our plates didnt say a thing even when we passed her our plates. We are from the area won't be coming back and will be telling our friends. Something needs to change ruined our day as we then had to go get something else for lunch. Not even worth a 1 star

The place has very pleasant ambiance. Servers are polite & in most part attentive. We visited for dinner around 6:20 and ordered mains directly. Food took about 40min to hit the table. while we didn’t mind so much the delay, considering the Lead time to food we expected a very fresh & warm meal. What we got was a mix, while the lasagna was pipping hot & fresh, the other two pasta mains were quite cold which made it less pleasant to eat.

The service, value, quantity of food all fair.. they were one of the few places open for dinner on Saturday on that street which is great. However, Italian to me is that fresh, simple, warm & comforting food and this evenings meal was just slightly short of the mark.

My friend and I ordered carbonara and gamberi, the carbonara looks good, but it doesn't has mushrooms. I had gamberi, it looks a bit dry when I came onto the table. It has not much flavour and I can't taste the chilli at all.

We had been here many times in the past but our last visit will be our last. Unfortunately we sat at the table that gave us full view of the kitchen and we were mortified. Not one pasta dish was cooked fresh. We witnessed pre measured pre cooked pastas and sauces being taken out of containers and added to the frypan to heat up. The service was slow. 3 tables in the restaurant and after 40mins and 2 grumpy kids i had to ask how much longer. You wouldn't think reheating pasta could take that long. I had Chicken Papone which I had b4 and loved. This time it was the consistency of a soup with 4 small chunks of chicken, brown avocado and 15 pieces of penne. No fresh tomatoes like it had on previous occasions. The amount of actual food in the bowl you could eat with a fork wouldn't even feed a child! A disgrace! I When they asked how dinner was I told them politely. We weren't given a discount or a free meal. Waited 40 minutes for reheated slop. We will never ever go again! My husbands pizza wasnt a great deal better. Very oily with huge uncooked wedges of tomatoes on top. What that was about we dont know. Maybe they they put that tomatoes on the pizza instead of my pasta. It really was a waste of money and disappointing as we had been there many times over the years.

Any place that has pizza on the menu for breakfast is alright in my book.
The breakfast pizza was amazing though, egg and bacon with a hint of garlic to top it off. The hashbrowns were fried grated potato which were also amazing.
My wife had the breakfast bruschetta which was mushrooms, egg and avocado on toast which she also spoke highly of
Joe Mahalia
Very average meal, the pizzas lack taste (not sure if the toppings are fresh) I don't usually eat around this area but popped in as I was visiting a friend. I won't be recommending this venue.
RRJosh
Since my earlier review I had a pizza from here and it was awful. No tomato base like you expect on a pizza, sliced fresh tomato as a topping (didn't mention this in ingredients) and smothered in olive oil which made the whole pizza soggy. It had no flavour and garlic was really overpowering. Wasn't pleasant at all and we threw most of it out. Disappointing!

Old review: This is a consistently good place to eat. Service is always friendly and the food is really tasty. Had home delivery recently and was dubious as we ordered seafood pasta and risotto but it was so good.
A Girl With Curves
Tonight my partner and I ate at Amorosa for the first time and completely LOVED it! We would normally venture out of our area when looking for good Italian food but tonight decided to eat local, and so glad we did. We had the pork and arancini balls as starters. Amazing! (My only tiny criticism is that there should be a dipping sauce for the arancini.)
We then had a lasagne and a Calabri pizza and loved every bit of it.
Staff were super friendly and accomodating.
Amorosa is a must try wether you're a local or not.
Great stuff!
Gee
Good food, friendly service.. Very relaxing atmosphere, only negative is tables are really cramped up, apart from that nothing else to fault

Had a pleasant breakfast experience at Amorosa. Doesn't look like much from the outside, and was initially put off slightly by the overwhelming late night pizza scent inside, but my mind was soon to be changed!

The staff are very friendly, the coffee was good (not too milky!) and our well-portioned meals were neatly presented and flavoursome. Ricotta pancakes (maple syrup) were thick and tasty, while the open muffin with poached eggs, pancetta and avocado were very fresh. The pancetta was perhaps a little too salty if I'm being picky, but it didn't detract at all from the experience. Good job guys!

Not a bad place at all. A nice pleasant dinner with the kids. The windows opening out makes it a really nice atmosphere. I've been here a few times and the service has improved a lot since my first few visits. Their breakfast service is nice and tasty with good options for most people. I've had their takeaway pizzas on several occasions. A review below from "Tim" mentions their bases as a bit soggy with too much toppings and i actually have to agree. That said, I like that. I've had the delivery and the pizza has arrived way to soggy. When i pick them up its not so bad. The garlic bread i think is house made and i'm not a fan. To me its really doughy and quite hard to eat. I always throw it away when i order 2 pizzas (which comes with Garlic bread for free). I will go back again and i will order takeaway pizza again and that's a good sign.

Breakfast great, service hit and miss, pizza's not so great. The breakfast we ordered was lovely but one waitress was a little strange. We were sitting at the bench and stools up the front and at one point she put down my husbands meal to the right of him not in front of him like in most restaurants and scurried off without saying anything, he was facing me on his left so he hadn't realised it was even there. I noticed she did this when placing our cutlery as well. Another waitress gave be my food and was bright and bubbly. On another occasion we ordered takeaway: 2 large pizzas, garlic bread and a Diet Coke at around $40 delivered is quite good for the area. When they arrived the delivery person gave us the food and said 'I just need to get your Coke', we assumed from the car. Turns out he went back to the restaurant to get it (we live in the next suburb). They also gave us decaffeinated Coke which we didn't order but not such a big deal. The pizza's themselves were bland and soggy. My Italian Napoli didn't have the Italian plum tomatoes as stated just regular tomatoes and so much of them in the pizza that I couldn't really taste the basil or mozzarella - just watery tomato. My husband mentioned his pizza had too much toppings as well and was really bland. The garlic bread wasn't cooked and was inedible. Overall stick to breakfast!

When I asked for the menu the blond staff member said its on the table rather rudely, how was I suppose to know the "place mats" were the menu list upside down. ordered spaghetti with prawns, for the price I thought I would get a decent serve and my friend who booked it reviewed it and thought we were going to get great food. We were both disappointed the food arrived quickly but the meal was charcoal colour and it tasted like stale spaghetti and charcoal prawns with no salt. Wanted to send it back but scared of repercussions.

Service was excellent and pizzas always good. We are regulars and enjoy the special of 2 pizzas and garlic bread weekly. We also enjoy the gnocchi made on premises.

27/7/15 brunch. Quick friendly service. Excellent coffee. Great poached eggs with generous serving of sides - the mushrooms were cooked excellently. I will be back :)

Best breakfast in Williamstown!. I've lived here for over ten years. I've tried every breakfast in town. I only recently tried the breakfast here as if only ever had dinner at Amorosa. Without a doubt best breakfast in town. The Ricotta pancakes are to die for! Hash browns absolutely delicious! Amazing coffee. Love it
Johnson
Average Pizza. Ordered from here after giving it a break and it has not gotten any better. Average ingredients which are laid on way too thick so the result is a soggy and very oily pizza. Won't be ordering again very soon.

The best in Williamstown. Great customer service! Staff is always friendly.
Our go to place for coffee and food all the time!
Really recommend the chocolate muffin and wait till is served!!! Out of this world deliciousness!!!

Great service great food. This place is the best place to eat by far in Williamstown ..

Good good good service .

I never can say I had a bad meal and we go twice per week every week

Michael Oxford shop Williamstown

Came here for breakfast with a large group because it takes bookings. Food was very slow to come out. Smoked salmon (with eggs) was dried out on one side - left open in a fridge? - and wasn't fresh. Pizzas average. While it suited us as a large group I couldn't recommend it to anyone nor go back.

Great service good takeaway. Great family friendly place, take away pizza good value really nice for brunch

Went here for brekky and was rather impressed!

Simple food like la porchetta but 20x more expensive

Not that crash.

I have been coming to Amorosa for at least four years and have seen staff come and go but have always been impressed by the friendly atmosphere and the great standard of service.
The food is excellent value for money and I always look forward to trying something new from the specials board.
Highly recommended!

I have been coming to Amorosa since they opened their doors - actually come to think of it I was there on their opening night! The food, the service, the atmosphere, everything about this place makes me come back time and time again. The service has always been relaxed, and when my husband and I come down at any time of the day we're always greeted warmly by the staff. They have a real tight knit team there which you can see from management on the floor all the way through to the kitchen. Their pizzas are delicious and their gnocchi - amazing!! Cannot recommend this place high enough!

Friendly service, good pizza & pasta and...kiddy friendly. Have had the pleasure serveral times, nearly always with the family or biggish groups. They haven't missed yet, either with the food or the service. Great with the kids, certainly speedy service on a weeknight . Makes La Porcheta look rather ordinary......(not that hard though). Dependable, and pleasant Italian.

Got one of the pizza deals here on Friday night, great value and delicious pizza. $42 for 3 large pizzas, garlic bread and 1.25l drink. BBQ chicken and american were both nice and juicy, not soggy, and really great quality ingredients. Capriciossa neede a bit more cheese/vegetable toppings, ended up a tad dry. Quick and friendly service, no long wait even though the restaurant was busy and had a great vibe. Would definitely come again
Tim
SOGGY PIZZA. Every now and then I re-try amorosa pizza. I had a great pizza here, once. I am now done. Soggy base, overloaded toppings, probably gets my vote for WORST pizza available for delivery around williamstown. I mean, really, if I could be bothered I can do 500% better at home. My 3 mates agree. Try Newport Pizza if u need a delivery pizza around williamstown, and no I don't work for newport pizza. I made the mistake of ordering without consulting urban spoon for the latest reviews, just check em out. Buyer beware, I hope u read this and don't make the same mistake I did. I want a refund, but couldn't be bothered, just won't use again.
Shelby
Been eating at Amorosa for years but not again. Waited an hour and a half for a soggy, undercooked bland pizza that costs more than other local places and charges for delivery. Can be good sometimes but the bad outweighs that these days
Anakie77
Not impressed in the slightest, has turned into la porchetta restaurant. Pizzas are bland, and disappointing. They used to be thin crust with flavour but they have lost this. We ordered the arincini as a started which were just a greasy oily ball of mozzarella! I've never eaten such horrible arinicini in all my life!! Very disappointed and def won't be going back! If I have to spend that type of money for pizza I would rather go to pizza restaurant alto just around the corner. 100% better quality!
Natalie
HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO COME HERE. Worst service possible!
PS
Terrible coffee and an awful breakfast I couldn't eat (tough and dry corn fritters, DROWNING in sour cream and sweet chili, accompanied by OFF avocado). Ironically the staff and service were good.
Ainsley Jane
Always a fave. Amorosa is a little pricey, however each time we go, the food does not disappoint. The spinach & mushroom risotto is delicious and the Mussels in tomatoe/chilli are also a winner.
The communal table is not for me. However I don't like these anywhere. I'm not sure who would??
Other than that, Love it!
Unlike other posts on here, we have always found the staff to be chatty and efficient.
Try it out for yourself.
Richo
It is what it is. Slightly on the pricey side for not really gourmet pizza, but we were served a good meal promptly and politely in pleasant surroundings. The big tables in the middle might mean it's not the best spot for a romantic dinner for two, but a family feed for three - fine.
Predrag Tausan
I did not like it !!!!!!. For conveyor pizza ok but overall very poor quality .Food cold and average its ok when nothing else is open .
service ok but very clumsy and rude.
I have eaten here quite a few times and this time I had to write this review.

I eat at Amorosa on a regular basis
I go there because the food is always great....coffee fantastic ....service is brilliant ... The staff at Amorosa are friendly and always happy to accommodate whether u have special dietary needs or just come in for what is on the menu.... I have also held family functions and will continue to do so for reasons of above...I highly recommend Amorosa as you will always get a great meal served with a smile
So thank you to all the Amorosa staff for being the place my family always love to come to for a great meal
Wendy Mc
Bravo Amorosa. Fantastic service from an attentive staff and the food was amazing. One of our party was glutten free which is usually a challenge but the chef created a fantastic glutten free pasta with prawns. All tables were full and the atomoshere was relaxed. I would highly reccomend Amorosa to anyone travelling down Williamstown way.

Another soggy Pizza!!!. I phone ordered takeaway pizza well in advance tonight.
I arrived and paid for it 5 minutes ahead of schedule only to have to sit and wait while listening to one of the staff members talk about moving to New York in the future with another customer. I watched 2 pizzas sitting there ready, wondering if they were mine? I waited another 10 minutes only to approach the counter and ask if my pizzas were ready. The manager on this Saturday night said confidently..."sure...here they are!!!" and grabbed the pizzas that I had been watching, ready for the last 10 minutes, getting colder by the minute. I asked if they were the pizzas that were sitting there waiting...she replied again confidently..."they havent been there long!" to which I replied, "ive been watching them sitting there for the last 10 minutes"...Sorry, she replied as quiet as a mouse.....and off I went dragging my feet trying to hold in the excitement of eating COLD SOGGY PIZZA!!!!
You know my name, you checked my phone number on your database when I ordered, and didnt bother to call up and apologise and ask how my SOGGY PIZZA with side order slow service was? I wonder if the owners know what is really happening when theyre not rostered on?
Funny how this place only operates well when the owner is working.
Never again I vowed....while muttering...... come back the Napoli family...they know how to run a pizza shop, and give good service. Looks like Crust Pizza will be seeing me soon, as bad as it is.
Adzo
Went there today. Yummy panini and great service. I'll go back
Rob
HORRIBLE!!!. What a horrible bunch of people working at this restuarant, rude, unhappy atmosphere and the food reflected this attitude. I will never eat here again!
Kylie
Food great, service okay.. We went on a Tuesday night with a group of six. It seemed to be quite busy and lots of people coming in to pick up takeaway pizzas. Smelled fantastic in there and has a really cool vibe. From when we were seated, it took about half an hour before anyone even came up to us offering us water or asking to take drink orders. I did try and get the attention of the staff but no luck. Eventually they got to us and we ordered entrees of Italian meatballs, bread and dips and bruschetta. The meatballs were especially delicious! Our mains arrived soon after, we all had varied dishes - home made gnocchi and meatballs, home made gnocchi and bolognese sauce, a chicken and avocado pasta, the American pizza and the Hawaiian pizza. All dishes were thoroughly enjoyed. The American pizza was amazing, highly recommend! Desserts had varied reports, a few had cannoli which they weren't overly impressed with, another had the sticky date pudding which was a very generous serve and very nice. All in all, a nice restaurant, prices pretty good - especially the $12 pizza or pasta Tuesday night special. Enjoyed it, would go back, just hopefully the service staff are a little more attentive next time.

Good Food - Great Chef. Whenever I visit Melbourne I always visit Amorosa, I like the spacious interior and I really enjoy the Pizzas.
Jason
Good stuff!. I reckon the place is great! My friend and I go for a coffee nearly everyday (good coffee), and we go for a pizza weekly.

They make a brilliant risotto and the sevice is always good. The staff always make us feel welcome and the price is always reasonable...... and I highly recommend their chocolate moose. Go Amorosa!

Jason
Kate Skene
The best, EVERYTHING!. Amarosa rocks! I go there everyday (literally everyday) for a coffee and eat there a couple of times a week, whether it's a panini for lunch or pizza/pasta for dinner. Their prices are reasonable and the staff are awesome! I have no vested interest in saying this, I'm just an extremely satisfied customer saying do yourself a favour and GO!

Best Pancakes in Melbourne. Seriously.
Mochi Jungle
Generally okay, but nothing special. Well the title pretty much sums it up! We went in for brunch on Saturday, ordered a chicken panini and an eggs benedict. It took awhile to come out, considering that they're not fancy meals. Service staff were ok, a bit vague and aloof. Food was fine. An okay place to visit if you're nearby and not sure where to eat.
LizzieB
Overpriced and underwhelming. We have just finished lunch which consisted of two panini's and a bottled apple juice, all for the grand overpriced amount of $24.00. There was more bread than filling on both and the chicken chargrilled was, in the words of my partner, flavourless. The disappointing part is that we could have made something 10 times more tasty at home, paid far less and would have had enough left over for dinner. First and last time at Amorosa
Kel_01_11
A local favorite. My husband and I swear by Amorosa. Never disappointed with the quality of food or service. The food is absolutely delicious, top notch Italian food. Some of the the best pastas we've tried. Would highly recommend.
Lisa Reeve
Don't trust online booking. We go here regularly for brunch, and enjoy the food and coffee. A couple of times we have tried booking online, and both times Amarosa did not have our booking when we arrived. The second time I asked why, and was told that the staff hadn't had time to check the bookings since the previous day. I suggested that they either shouldn't use the online bookings service or should indicate on the webpage how often they checked it, and they didn't seem to care much. Was pretty annoyed by the response.

Service a bit lacking. Have eaten here a fair few times, mainly for dinner. Did brekky a few times and its actually pretty good, certainly stacks up against the others. Service can be a bit slow but looks like they are very understaffed. That said, the wait staff don't often keep their eyes open for those wishing to order and can ignore you on occasion so that they don't get your attention. They pretend to be kid friendly but its more like, "barely kid tolerant". Drinks even takes ages to arrive. Get the impression that they are very under resourced and probably stops me from coming here more often since i know there will be a wait. Little on the pricey side as well. Food is pretty good but not sure if its worth the premium they charge. If the service picked up in pace and attentiveness the price wouldn't matter.
Em Els
Great. Second time I've been here. Service very good, the food delicious, although they could just reduce the salt a tad. I would go back again.
Nicky9873
I always go to Amorisa for the amazing vego breakfast. I can say that it is always what I order and this is shy I keep coming back. Sometimes the service is a little slow but hey you find that a lot.
Belinda
Today for the first time we dined at Amorosa. Seated and given menus, was ok thus far. But then no-one came back to us & the place wasn't overly busy, so being busy wasn't the issue. We sat for awhile and said if someone doesn't come within next 2 mins we are out. Just in time a waiter come. We had an entree and 2 mains. The food was mediocre and couldn't be justified for the price. The rissotto was watery a bit like soup and the steak very average. Staff not helpful, didn't bother to check on us or others to even ask if we would like a drink. Other diners were also visibly disgruntled due to lack of service. Overall very poor, won't be back and won't be sending any customers their way.
Kathryn
I cam here on grand final day as Provisions let the chef go home early. I had the muesli which was amazing with fresh fruit and yoghurt. My dad had lasagna and enjoyed it. Service was exceptional, to the point I returned back the next day for more.
Amy
Fantastic. Have been going to amorosa for several years. The food is always fantastic, great atmosphere, staff is fantastic. Definitely one of williamstown s best! Definitely try the meatballs. Also do gluten free pizza and pasta.
Tony Featherstone
Didnt like it at all. It was one of the few places open in Willi on Good Friday so it was busy. There was only two poor young girls that were waiting on the tables and they were totally run off their feet.
The place is very noisy, lacks any atmosphere and more importantly, the coffee is very average. The food was just OK.
We were over charged almost double as we were sitting at a communal table so there was confusion over who had what - again this was due to the staff being run off their feet.

Looking forward to the Pickle Barrel opening again after Easter.
Bec
Dreadful. First of all, the attitude and sheer rudeness of the waitress was horrific.not only was she cheeky, aggressive and extremely rude, her attitude was VERY inappropriate and condescending. The food was mediocre at best. But because of the attitude and service from this "head" waitress I am presuming, whom worked the till- I will never return. I am a local and have assured friends not to return, a complete waste of both time and money,
Elle Albury
Hands down worst restaurant i have ever had the displeasure eating at. Simple complaint about a meatlovers pizza turns into a verbal confrontation with the "boss" (who Was also the head chef) who intimidated us and maintained that despite our complaints, the pizza was perfect. He refused to replace pizza with an edible one or even to let us pay half, saying that it was our fault. He was extremely rude and unfriendly. Service is slow and the waitress staff incompetent. When paying I stated that I was a local and that I would never again visit amarosa. The waitress was indifferent and said that she was sorry but nothing could be done. I will never visit this restaurant again, one does not expect to be not only given a less than mediocre meal but Also to fight with management about the meal, especially since we were eating out for a friend birthday (which I mentioned to the boss) but amarosa supplied both. So thankyou amarosa for your bad service, rude staff and disappointing meal.
James Stone
Didn't like it.... There isn't much to like about this place.. The pasta is sad looking, the pizza is your everyday run of the mill sort of thing. Service is rather slow and the price is average.

Where's the vibe? Where's the ambiance? Not here, obviously!
Derek
Absolutely Disappointing. We waited 1 hour for food and there was barely anyone in there, so i can only imagine what it would be like with a packed house (if they get that) then to top it off the drinks we ordered never got served to us, and when we told them we had not received drinks and were very disappointed she still charged us full price. If you're looking for a good meal and good night i do NOT recommend Amarosa Williamstown.

I love this restaurant, eaten here, takeaway only at least 20 plus times. The pasta, risottos and pizzas are really good especially compared to the other pizza places. Prices are expensive, so sometimes LaPorchetta makes sense when you don't want to spend $30 plus on pizzas or pastas

Dissapointed. I have eaten here a couple of times with friends, plenty of choice from the menu and the food is OK however the service is terrible. The last and final time I went for dinner, my friends and I were placed at an unset table and forgotten about. We eventually gave up, walked out and won't go back.

Pretty good :). I went here today because Provisions was closed. I ordered the ricotta pancakes with lemon curd and strawberries and was very happy with them. Will definitely go again!

Yummy pizzas. I love Amorosa's gourmet pizzas... expecially the one with proscuitto and ricotta. I think they're the best around.. although they're a little inconsistent and very expensive.

If only. Eaten here many times as it is family-friendly and the food is okay. The service can be too slow though. So if service picked up, Amorosa could be very good.

Garlic be thy name. We loved the look of this spot so jumped in to try. The layout is good, clean and open, with a few communal tables as well. Lots of kids and bubs about (around 6pm), so seemed to have a goof family atmosphere.
Kudos too to the other customers who we talked too... good to have a welcoming feel to dinner.

Our choices were the gnocchi and a pizza. Delivered after what seemed like a lifetime (the climate did change and sea level rose, it was that long). The gnocchi was too soft and mushy... more stodgy than gnocchi. Pizza description seemed to describe a regulation pizza. What arrives was without the usual tomato base, but was so coated in garlic that it was almost inedible.

Not sure if we will go back, as Willi has better spots.

Food Not Available on Menu. Hi.

Loyal customer's say no to Amorosa cafe.
Poor Service, Items listed on the Menu, they actually don't have. One waitress for the entire cafe, you really have to feel sorry for her. Williamstown is full of great places to eat, don't waste your money or time here.
