Undoubtedly a brilliant restaurant for authentic Italian cuisine, said by an italian the food is simply amazing. Being a true wine lover, Via Alta has one of the best selections of grapes on their menu and what makes it even more attractive is the fact that they are well priced for the quality you are getting. If you are looking for a great night of eating and drinking, you've definitely found the right place.
Highly recommend the starters and the fig/prosciutto entree. The octapus just melted in your mouth, the signature spit roast dish was sensational and the tiramisu was to die for. The service was faultless. We all had a great meal.

Great place to eat. Staff are great and the food is very, very good. Try any meat dish and the pasta is also not to be missed.

Had an excellent lunch here today. Standouts: Pumpkin tortelli had a soft filling and the pasta was fresh and cooked to perfection, slow roasted lamb rump was tender and sauce was full of flavour, and maritozzi dessert - wow, slightly warm buns, slightly crispy on the outside, and beautiful fresh sweetened cream on the inside. Everything else we had was solidly above average.
To top it all off these items were part of a lunch special menu, so we had outstanding food for great value, what more could we ask for.
Highly recommended.
1st customer into Via Alta's new cafe and won't be the last. What an amazing quaint cafe, with a lush vertical garden and a barista that knows how to get the best out of the little brown bean.

Had the pleasure of eating at this amazing place today.Words fail me,the food was to die for from starters right through to Dessert and coffee.A massive thankyou to Alex and all of the staff for making a special occasion even more special.If you get the chance make sure you drop in i live an hour away but would happily travel to Dine there.
Love the authentic northern Italian food with great and cheeky Italian service and you can BYO wine any night of the week! Free street parking at night !

There is another Cafe adjacent - Child Friendly, Busy, Noisy- Good Coffee
So based on the above I gave Via Alta a try with my son.
The experience was great - the Coffee Excellent. Cakes etc all looked delicious.
