Spanish Sakaba is a Spanish & Japanese ⛩️💃 fusion which was very interesting and such an unexpected mix. The chefs really seem to know what they are doing!

🍔Wagyu Chorizo Burger ($18.8) with handcut chips 🍟, sauteed onion, mustard mayo & aioli.

I had to try the Wagyu and Chorizo burger to experience the fusion goodness, it was on their special menu. It was very stacked, incredible flavours.

🍜Wagyu Oxtail Ramen ($19.8) Beef and Chicken broth, 6 hours slow cooked wagyu oxtail, fresh coriander, green shallots, black pepper and thin noodles.

This was very tasty, and it was the reason why we wanted to come here because we saw the poster in Manpuku.Definitely did not disappoint.

🍜Chicken Katsu Curry Ramen ($18.8) Japanese curry base, chicken broth, beef tender, chicken katsu🍗, carrot, potato onion and thick & wavy noodles.

This came in an unxpectedly large bowl and was delicious. They literally have us a ladel 😮

I don't know if people care about restaurant vibes, but I really love to appreciate it 🥰. The decor was definitely very Japanese but the music played in the restaurant was Spanish. The dinner menu looked interesting and I would definitely go back to try it.

Ah winter. How I hate the cold! It's little wonder that I constantly crave for warm, soupy foods like ramen! Spanish Sakaba is, like their name suggests, a Spanish and Japanese hybrid restaurant with classic Spanish dishes like paella, garlic prawns and chorizo alongside Japanese inspired dishes like tempura, yakitori and ramen at lunch.

The service was great. The lady who served us this lunch was really friendly and attentive. The food was interesting. The kingfish tempura bao and salmon taco portions were very small for it’s price but tasted fantastic. The fish patty in the fish burger was cooked perfectly. The Marylamb ramen was a little plain, though. I loved their special creme brûlée but it was $14 and finished in a few bites. This place is underrated and I would definitely come back.

Sounds unusual and it is. A fusion of Spanish and Japanese food that is beautifully presented and just so tasty. Try the zucchini flowers and the salmon tacos, yuuum!!  The atmosphere is a bit cold, designed like a Japanese street eatery but the wait staff are wonderful and we were actually asked if we had allergies. We don't but so good that they asked. More restaurants should.  Well worth visiting.

When you can't decide between eating Spanish or Japanese food, have both at Spanish Sakaba!

Treat yourself to Sushi-rice Paella, Angus Beef Katsu or Frozen Sake Sangria - just to sample a few dishes off the menu. But if you thought this was a fusion Spanish and Japanese restaurant, you'd be wrong!

Had a dinner last week. It's a little bit pricey given the size of the portions but all the dishes were good! The service was great. We even had a free dish :) We'll come back for sure!

I used to go to Big Stone when it was in North Sydney.   This restaurant is it's natural successor.  We went as a family and shared probably a quarter of the dishes on the menu.  Most of them were outstanding - the rest very good.

Service was attentive.  My daughter has a severe peanut allergy and they were very good at communicating this to the kitchen and reassuring us.   We will definitely be back.

I feel like a fusion concept restaurant is so hard to pull off. But when done right, it can be the most amazing food haven in town. It’s not just about bringing styles and flavours from all over the globe together and mashing it into whatever. But you take inspirations from various cuisines and dish out a well-balanced creation. Willoughby Japanese/European/Hawaiian themed wine bar Spanish Sakaba has done just that.
