Been meaning to visit them since they open real early like 5:30 or sumthin. So after a brisk swim, i had my excuse to load up on their scrambled eggs 3.25/5 hash browns sourdough toast n the requisite double macc, which came piping hot as requested. I have a soft spot for old school cafes like this which cooks simple trad brekky dishes well along w friendly homely service. No need for extensive PR work, pretentious pretty dishes, hyperbole pics n reviews for a food joint to do well.
I have been getting breakfast from the Northern Bean since it first opened at least once a week. Their home-made, family atmosphere makes you feel at home & their food never wavers. The quality is perfect every time & the coffee is brilliant!

Casual atmosphere with plenty of books and corners to hide away and enjoy your coffee and a read or catch up on some emails.
Great service, very efficient and friendly. Had lunch here with a friend, we ordered the Chicken Schnitzel Burger, and the Aussie Beef Burger. Both came with a side of chips which were awesome! Very well seasoned and not at all greasy. Both burgers were delicious, and very decent portions without being over the top. We also had a Hazelnut Brownie and a Pistachio Biscotti. The brownies were great, not too sweet but not bitter, and the Biscotti was THE BEST I have had in a long time. The flavour was beautiful. Their coffee is also fantastic and full of flavour. Love this place and will be back. Prices are also super reasonable!
Went in there today for a quick coffee. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The coffee was wonderful and we are looking forward to visit for breakfast!!
Makes you feel welcome and the staff there are very attentive and warm. There are a large range of different things on the menu and I would 10/10 return to try out!
