This place takes coffee seriously. Would highly recommend to coffee lover/addicts. Other favourite thing is the Avo & Egg roll, complete with a hashbrown. Words cannot describe. Havent found a better one anywhere. Go try it. To top it all off, customer service is 5 star, very welcoming and attentive to COVID19.

We brought our pup along who’s cafe manners were yet to be determined and the SML staff went above and beyond to ensure we could enjoy a delicious coffee and croissant. The best coffee we’ve found north of the bridge.

They should've just called it S Cafe instead, as it's a truly small cafe. Seating for about 8 inside, a few bigger tables outside. You'll have to be very lucky to get a table without waiting on the weekend. It was my lucky day. The eggs beni looked pretty standard when it turned up, but the yuzu has definitely made the hollandaise more interesting. The hidden gem was the fluffy & nicely toasted sourdough underneath. The coffee was pretty smooth yet had a punch. Service was friendly.

A tiny but nice cafe tucked away from the Main Street in Willoughby. I’m generally not a big fan of ONA but it was brewed very nicely here! They use milklab almond milk which is a major plus. The staff here are super friendly too.
Well the name says it all! SML cafe is Tucked away down one of the side streets in North Willoughby. It has a cozy little atmosphere and the owner is super friendly.Â
If you’re feeling peckish the Benedict is always a winner here but if you’re looking for something that Lil more gram worthy then get the muesli as it looks Lush AF.
After you’ve stuffed your bellies with goodness be sure to snap on up one of their freshly baked muffins and a coffee for the road, you won’t regret it!
In Short: Come to SML Cafe Willoughby if you want chilled cafe experience. I recommend the karaage fried chicken and you must wash it down with a coffee, you won’t be disappointed.Â
One of our cool little finds in 2017 was Calibrate Coffee in Roseville. Yes, the food and coffee exceeded our expectations, what I loved though was its location. A cafe that transformss a sleepy suburb into a destination for foodies. We have seen that similarly in Glenhaven with The Tuckshop and in Gladesville with Cav & Co. Now a nondescript street in North Willoughby has been invigorated by the same team that brought you Calibrate with SML Cafe. A bright white washed cafe with Scandinavian touches and a monochromatic black and white theme, it’s compact, minimalist, and clean.
Love this place! We've come twice, coffee is great and food is even better! Had the nourish bowl, the katsu sandwich and the bacon and egg roll and all were amazing. Staff are really nice and it's so good to finally have a good cafe in the area. Definitely coming back.
One of my favorite brunch spots in town. Amazing food and super friendly staff. Love their chicken katsu the most 🙌 but today we ordered bacon egg roll, ham&cheese, and wagu beef sandwiches.

Well, first, we have ordered 4 bacon egg rolls, if that doesn’t speak for itself of how awesome it is, I don’t know what else. Bacon wasn’t too salty, it was crispy but not burned; egg was literally sunny up, of course you can request well-done if needed; hash brown was a highlight, I started to think French fries might work as well; then source was also well balanced, all the elements mix together makes it the best bacon egg roll i have had so far. Winter salad was also beyond our expectations, highly recommended! Coffee was also too good for suburbs (lack of competition sometimes doesn’t motivate shop owners seek for high quality coffee, in my opinion). I’ll give 6stars if I can :)
Response to reply - Thank you for taking the time to provide a detailed reply. Definitely agree with how busy it gets. I have been there a few weekends and only once it was not that busy. In some cafes where it gets as busy or more, the wait times are lesser. So the expectation was on similar lines :) You definitely have a good and energetic team there.
Nice Cafe. Gets busy on Saturday mornings. Long wait time to get coffee after placing order. Wish they could serve faster.

Lovely cafe. Great coffee. Peaceful spot to sit. Friendly owner and staff. Interesting menu that changes from time to time. The chicken sandwich and the lamb flatbread are great. They used to do an amazing eggs venedict - hope to see it back on the menu sometime! Highly recommend.
