The signs variously say "Olde Fashioned" or "Old English". It's not very English because the fish is mushy while the chips are not but it is old fashioned Australian: basic fish in a crispy batter, fairly crispy chips (asking for "well-done" definitely helps) and low prices.
The name says it all. A traditional fish and chip shop that gets it right. The fresh seafood is expensive but the standard fish, chips, scallops and sides are reasonably priced. They always seem to have a wide choice of fresh (made) and interesting salads. Some outdoor seating and limited parking next door.
Beautiful fish cooked to perfection, also the calamari rings seasoned beautifully with just the right amount of spice for a tangy taste. Just falling apart. Truly a local special. My partner and I will be returning.
Best fish and Chips I've had for years. We live in Lanecove, discovered this place yesterday, we had the baramundi battered, must try the calamari rings. we'll be back.
