Review Welcome Inn Chinese Restaurant - Windaroo

Jordan
First time going here, not the best food. Not the worst ,spring rolls were nice the fried rice was mediocre at best, bland flavouring. The hospitality was minimal, couple of young girls having a laugh. The other guy was nice ,friendly and cheery. Hopefully next time is better!

Never eaten in, but have ordered takeaway many times. There are certainly hits and misses here and there in regard to service and atmosphere, etc, but if it's just the food you care about, it's great! Sometimes a little inconsistent, but never bad. One serving tends to fill me and my wife just fine. Decent price. Something to note is at this time of writing, the centre is going through renovations and Welcome Inn is closed. Not sure if they'll return or move?

Just moved into the area and this is our closest Chinese. Unfortunately will have to broaden our search in the future as it was some of the worst chinese I have ever had. Salt and Pepper Squid was overcooked large pieces of batter with small chewy squid inside. The squid had no flavour and tasted like oil. Crispy beef in BBQ sauce had a weird soapy like aftertaste. Wontons were ok and the best dish of the order was the steamed rice. Won't be back sorry!

Quality Chinese Food. We had always chosen this restaurant over others. The owner Jimmy always put his customers first with service and quality. He has since retired but the food is still exceptional for flavour and couldn't be cooked any better than here. I ordered Honey Chicken and the chicken was tender with the right amount of honey; mouth watering. 5 stars.

Scam. Avoid. $40 dollars wasted through uber delivery. Received bag of prawn crackers, called to advise and was told we could pick up the order they forgot to send out. Told them we were unable and was told they would do nothing. Uber not willing to refund as order was marked as delivered. Garbage service.

Eaten here a couple of times now. The food was delicious and hot. Staff were mostly pretty friendly. Price is about average for Chinese food. They do allow you to byo drinks. Plenty of seating as most of what I seen was mainly take away. Looking forward to going back soon.

Food was pretty good and easy service. We loved the sweet & sour pork, fried chicken with honey and mongolian lamb. Not the greatest special fried rice and the Vegetable Chow Mein with Hokkien Noodles was not very nice with overcooked old noodles. We would order again :)

So dissatisfied all I can say is don't eat here they verbally abused us on the phone because they stuffed up sending the wrong order out to us via Uber eats said they would get our meal out to us again then shut the doors saying nope try tomorrow

Staff were pleasant, fried rice needs more flavour, beef black bean was average. Really enjoyed the fried wontons.

Have to be honest I have avoided this place for quite a few years, I had heard people saying the food was good and put it down to a low standard of culinary. Anyway we finally decided to give it ago and was more than pleasantly surprised. Couldn't fault one of our meals. I would't say the decor doesn't need some updating and the acoustic in the place wasn't good either, especially with a children screaming. However we were delivered our meal not long after we ordered and the lemon chicken was everything I hoped it would be along with the sizzling lamb dish. If you are wanting something close to home then give them ago.

Terrible food. Had dinner last night ,, Chicken and corn soup came out luke warm sent it back came out just warm again, reheating an already nade soup which for the price I would expect a fresh made soup.
Dim sims are the frozen bought in kind unimpressed.
Fish with ginger and shallot , was sone kind of frozen fish looked very bkand and was,, lots of corn flour used to thicken it.
Chicken chiw mein with crispy noodle, terrible tuff chicken in a thick ckear sauce you can taste the powered chicken booster and crispy noidles underneath everything so not so crispy even the
owner looked and said there not crispy.
After $65.00 , a very disappointing meal food , substandard and will not go back to this local bussiness, if your after fres foid dont go here.

Lovely little joint. This is a lovely little store. The owners are lovely, the food is great and the serving sizes generous.

The lunch menu is also fantastic value, $9 for too much food to eat just for lunch!

The only thing that could be better is delivery
