Overall not a bad brunch. We really enjoy the peanut butter waffles and the avo toast here. Great option in Windsor for a weekend morning. Bright and airy vibe as well.

I visited Mr Mister with my mum and my partner for a brunch. Staff were really attentive and friendly and I loved the decor of this cafe. I ordered the Avocado Smash but my favourite dish was actually the Shakshuka Baked Eggs - I'll be ordering that next time. Coffee was delicious and we didn't have to wait long - I like to drink my coffee while I wait for my meal to come out rather than have it all come out at the same time.
Overall it's a great brunch spot and I'll be going back very soon.
Superb breakfasts here, every element of my potato rosti plate was perfectly cooked, whilst my fiance really loved her chilli and herb eggs. Lovely
Mr Mister is by far the best brunch spot on Chapel! I've been here multiple times and can't get enough.
Firstly, the coffee is seriously good and the food even better. I can't seem to stray away from ordering either the Chilli & Herb Eggs or the Zucchini Fritters. They are both 10/10 dishes and I can't decide which one I prefer. I've heard the Potato Rosti is really good also but I'm not a massive fan of pork.
It's also a nice and modern decor which makes for a pleasant atmosphere to dine in.
Can't wait for my next visit - maybe I'll venture out and try the Mr Benedict next time.
Had the Mr Benedict which was delicious. The portion was very generous. The pulled beef was a little bit dry, however the dish was topped off very well with the red cabbage remoulade as well as bearnaise. Will definitely come back!
I actually love this cafe in Windsor. I’ve had the mr Benedict, and the potato rosti before and both have been really good. There usually not a massive wait on the weekends and the coffee is really good. Plus they have some freshly squeezed juice blends that are delicious too! A favourite for the area
This is the first time I have visited since they have moved next door. The layout is nice with an open kitchen. The menu is good, however I would of liked to see some porridge/oats on the menu to help me beat those winter blues on the cold winters day that I visited.
Staff were great, my smashed avo was really yummy and the coffee here was spot on. My friend had the acai bowl which looked beautiful, apparently that was really tasty too.
All in all a nice cafe which is worth a visit.
Had a Sunday brunch here. We ordered the super salad with extra avocado and baked eggs. Long back was quite nice - very very strong. However the matcha latte I got was luke warm and lacked flavor. The two poached eggs are cooked to perfection- I wish I could learn how they cook eggs. The salad was tasty but it felt like the ingredients was coming out from the fridge- really cold in winter time. It will be much better if the salad cold be room temperature. Very friendly service. They also provide blanket for outdoor seating.
If you’re in the area, this is such a lovely spot to have brunch or relax with a cup of coffee!
I had their fritters, baked eggs and Benedict special - they all tasted really good! My favourite was definitely the baked eggs (loved how thick the bread was!) and their sauce was delish.

I came here for brunch with a friend and what a lovey brunch it was! I had the classic eggs on toast with some sides and my friend had the classic PB and J waffles. Both dishes looked fab. Especially the waffles they were so pretty!
My eggs were poached to perfection, the waffles were sweet but not too sweet and the PB and J well you can’t go wrong!
The coffee was nice and the choice of soft drinks was also appreciated. I love a kombucha!
A very very good brunch. Followed by a thick soft baked, crunchy outside chocolate chip cookie.

Polite staff and welcoming service! My father and I enjoyed a nice late brunch here a couple of months ago. I offered the potato rosti and loved it! I thought it was fairly small portion size initially, but I felt great with its flavour and not too full afterwards! The matcha latte was fun to try, but I think I'll stick to my chai latte!
Service was a little slow but the food was great.

Had brunch here on a Saturday..and the cafe was pretty busy around 10am but there were still tables available. I ordered the potato rosti dish to have with a cappuccino. The food was tasty(love tbe pork crackling!)and well presented..good portion size. Really nice cafe ambience with huge windows to allow the natural light to come through. Good place to try for brunch.
Great service, great coffee and most importantly, great waffles! The blueberry cheesecake waffles are something else! We LOVED the gingersnap and macadamia crumble.

Visited this cafe forgetting it was related to Little Mister in Hampton and ordered the same thing I got from Little Mister. I thought the dish was familiar but it didn’t click until after. Still very happy with what I got while my friend got the zucchini fritters. They looked amazing and I’m sure they tasted that as well.

Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful courtyard / atmosphere outside. The food was great and the service was even better. I had the calamari salad and Robbie had eggs on toast. I can recommend this place for a casual, enjoyable catch up.
I only came here for a coffee and smoothie but what I had was great! I’ll be back to get food next time for sure.
The coffee was good but even better was the smoothie I had. I had the snickers smoothie and it tasted very much like snickers. My friend had the mango smoothie which was also delicious.

I love this cafe. I am slightly obsessed with acai bowls and Mr Mister make a nice one. Believe me, it looks simple but a lot of places miss the mark! Their chips are fantastic too so I often order both! Add a mimosa and you've got yourself the perfect hangover brunch. My husband does not get excited by food at all (weird) and just orders toast everywhere we go, but if Mr Mister could offer haloumi as a side, he'd be as happy as I am to see that waitress approaching with plates in hand 😁

Organised a surprise brunch for my friend a couple of weeks ago, and was catered for with a smile and satisfying food.
Food: My friends ordered a range of dishes; the chilli scrambled eggs, the lemon meringue waffles, the sauteed mushrooms and myself I ordered the super salad. Everyone enjoyed the dishes thoroughly. For myself, the super salad was both filling and flavorsome, two key aspects I look for in the perfect dish. The presentation was also on point!
Service: I organised this by contacting the cafe via email, they were very accomodating and organised. I was also able to get them to prepare a birthday muffin for my friend! The dishes arrived within a good period of time too!
Ambiance: The cafe was bustling, pop music playing, the smell of mouth watering food cooking. Lovely setting outside with good lighting and some tables inside as well. Very welcoming environment on Chapel Street.
I ordered the super food salad and could not fault it! Very tasty! Staff were friendly and we were not left long waiting before ordering. Server checked in with us during the mela to make sure we were okay. Would 100% go back!!
the baked egg shakushka is one of the best dishes i have ever tasted in my lifeeee, swap the flat bread for sourdough though (when it's not too busy they’ll let you). the cheese pull is too good not to insta 🤩

I've been here a few times and have always loved it. Beautiful food with so much flavour. Go for the whipped avocado on rye, add the side of bacon, and you won't leave disappointed. Their new mushroom dish with polenta isn't as good as their old mushroom dish, but apart from that, the meals are delicious. The coffee is always good and the staff are super friendly. The food is good and the coffee great here. I think I’ve eaten my way through the whole menu and my favourite items are the beef brisket bowl, baked eggs and super salad. The pumpkin hummus in the salad is delicious!

Dined here yesterday at about 11am for brunch with a friend and was pleasantly surprised at just how cool the interior and courtyard was as I hadn't thought much of it from the outside. It was beautiful and a very cute outdoor area with ample seating. Staff were friendly, attentive and very helpful. I also really enjoyed the food and coffee. The menu had all the usual favourites (eggs benny, smashed avo, açai bowls and a superfood salad. I opted for the SuperSalad which came with quinoa, kale, manchego, corn, jalapeños, and poached eggs with pumpkin hummus. It was SO delicious and came in a decent serve. I had also never seen coffee come with a small side of sparkling water as a 'palate cleanser'. Overall we both thoroughly enjoyed our time here and I will definitely return to try the rest of the menu.

You love this cafe from the moment you step in... Its completely open plan and inviting. Painted in white with the lovely pot plans with greenery. The menu is great all the dishes are uniquely designed. Everything was so well presented and was full of flavour combos.

Walked in and was greeted warmly buy a lovely young dude asked me for a coffee ect and I asked him if my dish choice was good he said it was legit so I went for the folded eggs with beetroot and goats cheese with a side of bacon.
Wow it was really good still in my opinion a simple dish but it had a great presentation and tasted amazing.
It's was perfectly seasoned I'm so happy basically every cafe in the area can't master this simple skill great work keep it up.

The food here was delicious, had a range of different dishes. I ordered the potato Rosti and pulled pork with caramel apple butter sauce, it was a bit dry but the sauce made up for it. Service was a quite slow but that's what happens on a weekend. Great experience
Cute, modern cafe. We had the shakshuka w flatbread and the maple glazed kaiserfleisch.
The maple glazed kaiserfleisch with baked polenta, poached pear and eggs easily stole our hearts. Slight mishap: we found eggshells in our dish but this was compensated by a discount off our bill. Overall a pleasant visit with really good service.
Tip: Check out the courtyard seating when you visit.
Third visit to Mr Mister. Good coffee, and very friendly service. I dropped in for lunch and noticed for the first time that almost all the meals are served with eggs. I picked the burrito bowl which didn't come with any eggs thankfully. It was yummy but a smaller portion than expected for a main. Black beans, quinoa, salsa, fresh coriander and more - very tasty. I'll be back but use some other proteins sometimes please Mr M.

Located on Chapel St, it was a pleasant surprise to be able to be taken straight to a table at 12:15 on a Saturday. The decor is nice and light, and staff (including one on his first day of work!) were friendly.
The baked shakshuka was delicious- I would highly recommend it! However, my sister is a Bircher addict. She is also dairy free and we had seen that Mr Mister did a vegan option with Bircher. It was a major reason why we chose to come as we assumed that that meant coconut yoghurt would be used. Disappointingly, it actually meant they just removed the yoghurt leaving dry oats and fruit in incredibly sweet apple juice. She couldn't even finish the bowl.
Hopefully they will change their menu to be more clear and accommodating as it was otherwise a great experience.

Situated in a dense collection of cafes on Chapel St, e found our way into a modern chic cafe on a Sunday morning. Compared to the massive queues next door at Journeyman, Mr Mister was only half full at 10am which was perfect as we got to pick our seats. They do have a lovely outdoor seating area (complete with a moveable roof and free blankets) but we opted for the inside. We had the warm lamb salad and the mushrooms with mocha and latte on the side. Our waitress was so lovely and cheerful and service was super fast. The warm lamb salad was presented interestingly and tasted scrumptious. Being not a major fan of peas, the combination of ricotta, smashed peas and slow cooked lamb made it enjoyable. The portion was quite generous, the mushroom dish less so but still appropriately sized. The chocolate chip cookie I bought at the end also tasted delish. Would come back to try their banana bread (before it runs out again!). Nice alternative to Journeyman if you are sick of waiting in the cold.

Located in the heart of Windsor, Mr Mister Cafe appears dark when first entering, but there are actually plenty of seats bathed in natural light. An indoors section towards the back benefits from a skylight, and it transitions into a heated and covered outdoors space. Coffee, sweets, breakfast items and sandwiches to-go are popular with the Chapel St early morning and lunchtime crowd.
My friends and I original plan was to have lunch at Journeyman next door but they were rushing for time and couldn't wait 20 mins for a table so we ended up at Mr Mister. Not a bad find! My friends arrived first and found a table at the courtyard which was perfect for a beautiful sunny day. We ordered coffee, fruit juice, pulled pork, lobster roll, baked eggs and mushrooms dish. Service was good. The kitchen however forgot the poached eggs on the pulled pork rosti! I had to walk to the staff and told them the dish had 2 missing eggs which was rectified straight away! Everyone enjoy their dish except the cracklings on the pulled pork dish wasn't crispy! Coffee was good. Overall, nice cafe.

Breakfast boards are the best of both worlds and at $15.50 it was one of the more reasonable breakfasts I've had of late. Oats with yoghurt, fruit and seeds and smashed avo on whole grain. I felt like I was getting two for one. It was fresh and wholesome and we got a complimentary side of vitamin D sitting outdoors in the sun. No wait was a bonus although we were up quite early for some odd reason. Will definitely be back as it's not often you can feel content or full after a healthy choice yet alone both
Props to these guys for being open on a new years day! We managed to get a table of two after a few mintutes wait which was a surprise, the place was extremely busy. The food: I ordered a burrito bowl which just reminded me of a bowl of nachos but on steroids. It had some pretty zingy flavours that worked well and what you would expect of a Spanish inspired dish. Would order it again. My only negative is the service. I understand it was busy, but the staff a member wasn't very friendly and welcoming and gave a bit off attitude and had no desire to be there..

Mr Mister is open on the busy Chapel street strip. Their courtyard is a delight, a secluded place to bask in the morning sun and recharge. Burrito Bowl – quinoa, spiced black beans, crispy tortillas, corn salsa, avocado cream and minted creme fraiche – $18 +$2 poached egg + $3 bacon. A great dish. Creamy minty sauce against the crunch corn chips. The Quinoa is filling and the salsa and lime lifts the dish

Loving the new menu created by Head Chef Matt from Mr Mister cafe on Chapel Street. He definitely knows how to make being healthy so mouthwateringly delicious! We felt spoilt for choice when we saw the Acai Bowl, Bircher Muesli & the Burrito Bowl - they all looked fresh, flavoursome & packed full of goodness, so we decided to go for all three of them.

Mr Mister just released a new summer menu and boy is it delicious! Their fresh juices and flavoured almond mylks are a must try (we recommend adding a shot of coffee too). The super salad, roasted mushies and burrito bowl were all delicious- filled with flavour, filling and fresh! Our fave was the delicious banana bread with fantastic summery toppings. We'll be back in no time!

With my parents back in town and a long over public holiday on my hands - we toddled off to Windsor to actually try journeyman (which was ridiculously full!). Instead we popped into Mr. Mister (the name made me giggle) and I was glad. We had the sandwich of the day (pulled beef - which I couldn't snap a picture off as my father was too hungry), shakshuka and banana bread with coconut panacotta.
Not so good - whilst the panacotta and banana bread was nice I didn't care for the coffee cream (was a weird taste for my palate) and the side salad of the sandwich (beetroot something) again had a flavor combination that didn't suite either myself or dad (but mum polished it off as she loves beetroots).
The good - the outside courtyard in the back was an oasis with dappled lighting and comfortable seats, shakshuka was hearty and coffee was perfect (smooth not bitter and large!)
Overall a solid brunch spot! Would I come back? Maybe. But there are so many places to try especially as spring is here!
So we stepped into this place on our way to Journeyman because it just looked really good. I'm now glad I didnt check it on Zomato before I entered because this rating would keep me away but it's certainly underestimating! The menu is awesome, the food was great and so was the service. The back was my favorite , really enjoyed it and will be back soon!
I ordered the Mr. Mister Super Salad, it was extremely tasty and instead of goats cheese I replaced it with feta. Would highly recommend ordering, also mix everything through and cut the egg into little pieces and blend it in for a better taste.
Went for late lunch today, it was already quite and we got the whole back seats just for us. The cafe was pretty long to the back and has a cozy, relax ambience. I was intrigued to try their baked eggs, the options are chorizo or mushroom. Today I chose the mushroom, it was good but not the best baked eggs. It was less salty and not much flavour going on there. There were a couple of small baguettes to compliment the dish which a bit over-burnt.
Another dish we tried was the sauteè mushroom. The mushroom and kale were perfect but the dressing has some funny sweet taste.
The coffee was good and the service was great. Will try another dish next time!

One of the more accomodating daytime eateries for groups of friends to be able to book ahead on a weekend - very friendly, really appreciated their service.
Everyone enjoyed their meals, and kudos for the strong, semi-bitter matcha!
The coffee is decent, but room for improvement - considering the competition about.

LOVED this place. I've been twice since and have been in love with the meals I got. The mushroom baked eggs in particular was just amazing. Super reasonable prices and great service. This has become one of my favourites!
Went here because.... who can be bothered waiting for hours to get a table at Journeyman next door. Food was enjoyable. I had a porridge which was great. Nicely spaced Cafe and they have a good open back section.
We ventured here on the weekend just gone. I had dined here before inside but wasn't not aware of the oasis out the rear of he store. This section was lovely, a great escape from the hustle and bustle of chapel street. The food and drinks were great too. Coffee was lovely and I had the banana bread. What a delightful assortment all contributing to the overwhelming delicious taste of the dish. The bread itself was so tasty and not full of sugar like some, couple that with the panacotta and espresso marsacpone and you have a winner here.

Like most people, I was introduced to Mr Mister after walking by Journeyman and not wanting to deal with the wait time. The first time I went was about a year ago with my partner. I got the chorizo baked eggs that time, which was not bad, but my only complaint would be that there wasn't enough bread with the eggs. We sat in the rear courtyard which was gorgeous.
The most recent time was just last weekend. I got the open omelette, but I wish I got something else. Again, it wasn't too bad, but I found it overcooked and just not quite there yet with composition and presentation. My partner had the Mr Breakfast, and it seemed very nice. We both loved the sausage on that.
Other than the food, the layout and vibe of the place is great. There is a range of seating options - outside benches, outside in a little nook, inside tables, the bar, rear courtyard, and a partitioned 'pavilion'-type thing that runs from the inside to the back. Great service, and prices that are expected for around that area.
Ended up here after being told I had to wait 20 mins for Journey Man- if you read my reviews, you know how I feel about waiting for places, turned up a notch when a waitress has an IPad checking table wait times.
Anyway, the best way to describe this is 'ok'. I had the breakfast there: the biggest one you could get. It was nothing amazing just your ordinary eggs, toast, tomatoes and mushroom. Coffee was good as was the Service.
I'd go back coffee but not the first place I think of for a killer breakfast....
We came here for brunch on a busy Saturday morning. The service was friendly, efficient & skillful. The coffee (I confess, my main benchmark) was very good. I had Baked Eggs and was impressed. Well cooked (perhaps a little over depending on how you like your yolks) and fantastically tasty. My dining partner had The Mexicana and was delighted with how well her eggs were piached - lovely runny yolks.
Top notch people watching too! Highly recommended.

Quite thoroughly enjoyed by my visit to Mr Mister. Serving sizes were very generous and the food was thoughtful and delicious. I ventured into lunch territory for breakfast when I went and ordered the nicoise salad - which I thoroughly enjoyed. Coffee was good and service was pretty solid. Eleven thumbs up.
Have walked past this cafe a number of times, never realized how big it was! It also has a really lovely quite large courtyard 😊 on a beautiful warm/autumn day like today nothing could have been better than sitting in the sun in comfortable chairs , great food and super special company ❤️. Smiling, happy staff are always a bonus, and the food was extremely tasty top marks! Mr Mister is well worth the visit, plenty of seating choices, inside and out. A varied and innovative menu. Will definitely be returning.

Great food top it up with great service. If your looking to work and have your laptop connected to power they are extremely helpful. Set me up with a corner bench and even provided their wifi password. Will go there again. It's at the corner of Chappel St and St.John street hence some parking available on St.johns st. Great location and extremely helpful staff.
We were invited along by Mr Mister to try their brunch menu.
They have all the brunch favourites, and our favourite was the banana bread with young coconut, pineapple and mint, set banana custard, candied pumpkins seeds and mint sugar.
Try the courtyard out the back if you visit.
Food was very good, meat seasoned well, the beef burger was much better than i expected almost as good as the best dedicated burger joints close by. Filtered coffee was ok but the service had that warm Melbourne cafe feel you don't always get anymore, great space for all day brekky
