Review Ines Wine Bar - Windsor

Service and food was wonderful. We did the set menu which also accommodated for dietary requirements and had lots of food! Loved the vibe of the restaurant, would definitely come back. We had a group of four in the booths which were very comfortable.

šŸ„ Rigatoni Beef Ragu šŸ„” Roast Potatoes šŸÆ Fried Saganaki, Honey šŸ„Ŗ Nduja and Smoked Scarmoza Jaffle šŸ§€ Burrata, Beetroot, Potato Focaccia Neptune is a moody and modern Mediterranean wine bar located just off Chapel St in Windsor. The team here also brought you @tokyotina_ and @santelmomelbourne, so you know already itā€™s good. Picture saloon style booths, cafe style street seating, a fireplace and moody lighting. The cocktail menu is brilliant highly recommend the Pampered but thereā€™s an option for everyone and great selection of refreshing Spritzā€™s. The food menu is innovative mostly consisting of small plates perfect for sharing. The Saganaki was so good, paired with honey itā€™s a match made in heaven. The Scarmoza and Nduja Jaffle is a must and packed some good heat. Itā€™s tough to ever go past a Burrata, mopped up with their fluffy Potato Focaccia bread you just canā€™t get better than that. šŸž Being Italian, Beef Ragu is usually the last thing I will order when Iā€™m out. However, I was craving it and boy did it hit the spot. What is usually a basic dish was so full flavoured, I was truely impressed. Like always, get the Crispy Potatoes. The menu changes often so some of these options may no longer be available, however I have full faith that there will be something else just as good. Perfect spot for a date! šŸ˜˜ āļø 5/5 (Excellent)

Really like the service and the food here. The fairy toast was the best, crunchy toast topped with popping fish roes was great. The steak tartare was also fabulous. Scallop and kingfish crudo was nice. Hubby had duck frites which him and the kids really liked, although I found the frites a bit soggy. I had the spanner crab pasta which I found flavourless and a bit too oily. The kids shared a rigatoni and the kitchen thoughtfully separated the dish into two dishes so we donā€™t have to do it ourselves, definitely bonus points there. Their gin cocktail w grapes and citrus was delish but I was very obsessed with the German resling I had there. Yum. Overall a very good meal.

Great experience overall. We went for the birthday special, can't say no to $5 negronis! They were just as good as if we had paid full price. Loved the ambience, intimate whilst still feeling a part of something. The food was delicious, the ragu was mouth watering, pasta cooked juuust right. Staff were attentive without being over bearing...a fine balance.

Sensational food, the pasta was some of the best I have had and the lamb shoulder just melts in your mouth. You would not be disappointed at all. The service was welcoming and warm. The attention to detail from the waiters when it came to the food and wine couldn't fault. We will definitely be back again with family and friends. You have gained your self some regulars from now on . The next day we had a follow up email thanking us fot coming in. The smallest of details makes you feel like you are appreciated as a customer .

Great value here in the warm large space that can feel quite intimate and cosseting. Excellent range of wine by the glass served by young professional staff who really know the wines thoroughly. Highly recommended for drinks, dinner, a date or a romantic meal.

Really enjoyed my evening at Neptune. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the spaghetti. The absolute highlight was the tiramisu, I think it's hard to find it better elsewhere.

Had a lovely late evening catch up with family and friends. Stefano made us feel right at home. Great atmosphere. We look forward to coming back and having dinner.

Before the second lockdown, a few colleague and I went to have a drink and dine in at INES Wine Bar. They staff were very courteous and friendly form the moment we stepped into the establishment. They had a really great selection of gin and the food was delicious. Our only qualm was that due to the lockdown rules, we had a limited seating time which was fine, but one member of the table didn't get his food until 15 minutes before we had to leave.
Otherwise, great place to unwind and catch up with friends over a drink or two.

Love this place!! It's just down the road from my house and we have been at least 5 times. AMAZING food, great wine and the service is incredible! I just scrolled past and saw it only has 4 stars but it deserves so much more!

Lovely, cosy wine bar on chapel street. We tend to pop in for a nightcap and dessert on our way home from dinner. Red wine and tirumisu = winner combination. Definitely worth a visit.

I just went there for a drink.
I appreciated the fact that they served the wine at our table rather than bringing the drinks. I like looking at bottle labels when I drink wine, so this was just perfect.

You will find Ines Wine Bar located on the Windsor end of Chapel Street. Ā This dimly lit and cosy European style wine bar oozes old school charm with a touch of timeless eleganceĀ ā€“ it is the perfect place for date nights, special occasions and catch ups with close friends.

On busy Chapel Street you are seriously spoilt for choice, but when it comes to intimidate date nights I love Ines wine bar. It is a moody bar with comfy seating at the front, and tables at the rear. Tastefully decorated, and low lit; Ines has a romantic ambience. With an Italian slant, the food and wine here is delicious, and the service is attentive and friendly.

Concentrating on share plates, with a few mains on the menu, the dishes are so delicious. We had amazing eggplant chips which were crispy, salty and tender. The Vitello Tonato was divine. Whisper thin slices of veal topped with a traditional tuna mayonnaise... so tasty. We also had beef and the crispiest baked potatoes, which were both extremely good.

Several glasses of wine later, we were more than satisfied with our night at Ines. With a beautiful atmosphere, fab food and fantastic wine; it's hard not to enjoy yourself here.

This is the second time I've been here and I've gotta say its now one of my favourite venues. Located on my favourite location Chapel Street this classy well styled wine bar has a good list of wines along with the food to match. With attentive service and good vibes I'll definelty be going here next week. ***Disclaimer: although the restaurant has generously invited me to their restaurant this review is still based on my genuine opinion.

Adore this place! We live locally and love to pop in here for a late afternoon drink and snack. Everything is always exceptional quality and the staff are lovely. They also have great happy hour offers and other specials. Today they had a special for an aperol spritz and complimentary antipasto plate for $12, and both were delicious. Canā€™t recommend enough!

šŸ˜±Lizzieā€™s first impression: as soon as I walked in, i felt the ambience. It was dim but not too dark. The place felt like a perfect place for a date night.

šŸ©Lizzie enjoyed: they have a large selection of wine which I enjoyed. Would love to come back to try out their food to pair it with the wine.

šŸ…Lizzie did not enjoy: the seats especially where the couches are at the front are really spaced out so it is a little hard to hear one another.

šŸ„‡Lizzie rates overall: a great place for drinks especially when itā€™s less busy.

We were invited to Ines last night a seriously stunning bar that only got more beautiful as darkness fell. They were also unveiling a brand new cocktail list and I fell in love with the blue dream which was a gin based beverage with a hint of absinthe and creme de violettes.

As we were awaiting our food our came the most delicious warm bread. I was trying to abstain from carbs and thought I would just try it but with one bite I knew I had to eat it all. We then had the buratta (which cane with more bread) sitting on a lovely hazelnut and pistachio crumb. The plating was fantastic and it was a truly yummy way to start.

Next we had the eggplant chips which were perfectly crunchy and very well seasoned and then the main event the eye fillet with tarragon butter and duck fat potatoes. Ever so slightly over salty but the potatoes were delectably crisp and the dish looked as phenomenal on the plate as it tasted.

We finished the meal with the baked goats cheese with honey, mint and flatbread. A lovely little light way to end. Iā€™ve never really had mint in this classic combination and it worked really well to give it a some freshness. We were overall hugely impressed by this venue

If you havenā€™t been to Ines Wine Bar yet, itā€™s past time to fix that! With an incredibly elegant fit out to bask in, this has all the ambience you could possibly desire for date night, or even a casual cocktail catch-up! šŸøšŸø

What a cute wine bar! The ambiance was perfect and the staff great! We had the lychee martini which was great and also the jalapeƱo cocktail which wasnā€™t exactly my taste but I am still happy I have tried something new! I will definitely be back for more drinks and possibly a snack

Great atmosphere, perfect for a date night. We went just for a quick wine and ended up staying for hours the wine list is incredible and the food is amazing. Everything we ate was delish! The fit out was beautiful and the ambiance was perfect for a romantic night out. Staff was attentive and friendly. Overall, absolutely loved it and will be back.

Went there on a Saturday night to grab a casual dinner. I love the decor gets me in the drinking mood. They have an extensive drink list. The wine glasses they have are very classy which makes very enjoyable to have a drink here. The food here is not your average bar food, itā€™s amazing. I was lucky enough to order todayā€™s special truffle pasta. OMG it was THE BEST truffle pasta I have ever had. Highly recommend. I will definitely come back!!!

This place changed from meatball and wine bar to Ines within a short amount of time and I'm happy to say that haven't dropped the ball. We actually really enjoyed the dinner here and i would have to call out the Melenzane, Croque Signore, Baked Goats Cheese, Veal, and Wagyu (which is pretty much half the menu) are all amazing. Oh, and the Poached Pear dessert was yum too. Unfortunately I don't have any photos because we were just way too excited and hungry but we'll be back. Definitely recommended!

And I have just come back to update the review because how could I not mention the awesome waiter: Stefano who is literally the nicest guy ever! He always looks after us and always has a smile on his face. Nothing is ever too hard. Thanks Stefano.

A nice wine bar with dim lighting, stylish decor and interesting tunes - at one point I was certain the Dirty Dancing soundtrack was on!

Interesting cocktail menu and an extensive wine list. Tried the cocktail special which was a passionfruit caipirinha and boy was it strong (in a good way)!!

Really friendly bar staff who were happy to recommend drinks. I even observed a bartender to "look out for" a solo female patron who was being bothered by a guy who was beaming from liquid courage, who she was clearly not interested in.

Will return for snacks.

I canā€™t recommend this place enough. As soon as we walked in, we had a lovely warm welcome and smiles from all the staff. The staff really take their time to answer all your questions about the different wines and Italian food menu. Nothing seems a hassle, the atmosphere, food, music and rapport between the staff and customers is like nowhere Iā€™ve been before. Highly recommend the croque monsieur as a nibble and trying one of the orange wines. 10/10 Ines, we will be back on the regular.

A beautiful diamond on Chapel. Been there on a date and as soon we walked in we been wrapped on an amazing atmosphere. Beautiful venue with an extensive wine menu and amazing cocktails considering is a wine bar. Staff was really charming and fitting perfectly the old fashionedĀ european atmosphere. In love with this place. Went there with a few friends for some wine and nibbles and as soon as I stepped into the door I felt at home. Food is mind blowing and great wine/cocktail selection, service was very friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back and I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends.

Great atmosphere, perfect for a date night. We went just for a quick wine and ended up staying for hours... the wine list is incredible and the food is amazing. Everything we ate was delish! Heading back again this weekend! Would highly recommend if youā€™re out on Chapel St!

Couldnā€™t recommend this venue highly enough!! Wines are all amazing and the kitchen does a cracking job with the Euro-inspired bar snacks. Staff are mostly from Italy which makes the entire experience one to remember :) Perfect for a date night or in a group. The playlist is really fun as well.

Previously the Meatball & wine bar, the owners have relaunched the Chapel Street space as an uber chic European style wine bar - sophisticated cocktails, and a comprehensive wine list can be enjoyed while relaxing in luxe booths and relaxed seating spaces with finishings of brass, marble and timber.

There's a grown up feel to the space, with soft lighting and classic tunes that are just the right volume to allow you to hold a conversation.
The menu offers up small and large share plates with Italian and French influences, cheese and charcuterie platters, and you'll still find some meatballs in the mix. We had the set menu $55pp for a group of 16 and were very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food.

A fine addition to the growing number of elegant wine bars in the area. Highly recommended

Stopped in with a friend for one glass of wine and stayed for 5. The wine list is well selected with varying price points and regions. Stefano was very knowledgable and was happy to give background. Food wise we only opted for dessert - the poached pear was excellent.Ā

The dining area is tasteful and dimly lit. The playlist was brilliant! Mo-town and Blues played at the perfect volume so we could still have a normal conversation.Ā

Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Ines Wine Bar is a stylish and quaint bar which has just landed in Windsor. Matteo Bruno, mastermind behind Hana and The Meatball & Wine Bar brings us a European style wine bar with old school vibes and a sophisticated menu to match.

Came here for date night and was blown away by the food. Every single dish was outstanding. The fit out was beautiful and the ambience was perfect for a romantic night out. Staff were attentive and friendly. My only feedback would be to train the staff regarding pouring glasses of wine at the table, there was inconsistency with every glass - some of our glasses fell well short of a standard pour whilst others werenā€™t. Overall, absolutely loved it and will be back.

Pretty damn delicious! This place has a GREAT fit out. Winter coziness is assured from the backlit crystal decanters, to the velvet chairs and the inky dark walls. Service is pretty good considering there aren't many staff (at least on the night we went). Food consistently delivered on flavour - we tried theĀ
olives (salty, crispy and moreishly dangerous)
crostini (three flavours all packed a punch)
polpette (soft and handsome like a good Italian should be),Ā
wagu tonnato (creaminess meets meatiness, beats the veal version in my book)
duck fat potatoes (duck fat 'nough said) and theĀ
tiramisu (fine, but not like write home about great).Ā

That plus a spritz each to start and a bottle of very acceptable Italian table white and we left $170 odd lighter, but completely sated on all fronts. Oh and YOU CAN BOOK - oh my, what fab idea, that could really catch on you know.
