Review Chachos Windsor - Windsor

Akanksha Bhosle
Beautiful little bar on Chapel Street. Was the only bar serving us food post 9.45pm so we were happy. Lively hip hop music and wonderful bar staff. We ordered the chilli margaritas and mango margaritas. The chilli one was better than the mango - packed a punch! We also ordered the prawns, pork and chicken tacos - all were good. The nachos were a meal by itself so for 2 of us it could be been avoided however the staff packed it all for us. Overall a great experience.

@chachoswindsor on Chapel Street is a new favourite of mine for a Mexican feast!! It’s so pretty inside and perfect for a girls lunch or girls night out. We ordered their a la carte menu but they also have a fantastic bottomless brunch option on the weekend as well 😍🍹✨ I can’t drink too much during the day 😅 The cocktails and mocktails are gorgeous and tasty- all made by the friendly and Passionate bar manager 💥🍹✨🌈 The food also didn’t disappoint- loved the fried chicken, pizza, tacos and chips!!! The Taco Burger is unique and perfect for those who don’t mind getting their hands dirtyyy. 🍔😎🌈🍕👏🏻 super yummy food and drinks 💥✨🍹

A Great Indoor & Outdoor Setting. The vibe here is real & this ones great with friends as you can try a variety of food 🥰😋 Both pizzas were delicious and funny rating the pizzas higher than the tacos at a Mexican restaurant. The quatro quesos was so good and the pepperoni pizza paired nicely with the mild/spicy habanero pepper sauces provided! Overall it was definitely a good night out with couple friends and food was great 😋

Amazing drinks and best tacos. Service is on point… great tunes and good vibes. I will be back for sure.

My team and I went to Chacho's for work drinks last Friday and had the perfect time! The food was delicious and cocktails were next level! 100% recommend for dates and bigger groups

The food here is really really nice. I'm sort of addicted to their pizzas, they're top notch. Service is incredible, and the cocktails are fire.

Absolutely love coming to Chachos! Yummy Pizzas , delicious authentic tacos and amazing cocktails. Atmosphere is cosy and fun, while the staff are all friendly and helpful. Hands down my favourite spot on Chapel!

Staff was friendly! Atmosphere was great, food was delish, I think we had a bit of everything, they don't do split bills but it was wonderful that they told us before hand though! Piazzas > tacos though!

We are regular customers. Love the margerita pizza's (vegan and non-vegan) and the cocktails are on point 👌👌👌

Having visited within Chachos the first couple of months their opening, we are definitely pleased to report that the constant desire for improvement and refinement has taken this Mexican-Italian eatery to a whole new level.<br/>Characterised by perfect pizza bases, quality toppings and generous portion sizes, Chachos is destined to become a locals favourite at just the right price point!

If you are in the market for a fun night out, then Chachos in Windsor could be exactly what you are looking for. A tequila bar serving pizza and burgers sounds like a party waiting to happen, and I wasn't wrong. From the moment we walked in the vibe was chilled and relaxed, and we sat down and admired the bar with it's extensive array of tequila.<br/><br/>The staff were great...chatty and fun, which really added to the atmosphere. We were provided with menus that were inside old DVD covers... cute!! Deciding on several cocktails to start, it wasn't long before our old school pawn star, passionfruit margerita and spicy margerita arrived. Oh my, these drinks were divine. The perfect balance of sweet and sour, but I really enjoyed the spicy margerita the most. With it's rim of spiced salt, and it's fiery cocktail mix, this margerita really blew my socks off. Full of punch and flavour, it was my choice again for the second round of drinks.<br/><br/>The food menu is also fun, and we started with some stuffed jalapeno poppers which were juicy and spicy. Our pizzas were the Whole Hog with a pork and crackling topping, and a more traditional style pizza topped with loads of anchovies. Wow, these pizzas were great. The yummy, chewy base was the perfect texture; and strong enough to hold all the tasty cheeses and toppings. I was pleasantly surprised that the pizzas were not just your standard style, and really were fantastic and full of flavour. The best bit is the accompanying dipping sauces available for your pizza crusts. We chose the Salsa Verde, and it was refreshing and tangy, and a genius idea for those big crusty pieces that are always left over.<br/><br/>Chacho's is easy to find on the Windsor end of Chapel Street, and judging by the packed house on a Saturday night, really pulls the crowds in. The ambience is cool and fun, and the relaxed staff really encourage you to enjoy yourself. With such amazing tequila on offer, it's a struggle not to have a great time, and those amazing margeritas and pizzas will have me returning with friends again soon for another night of fun and cocktails.

One of the best venues in Windsor. Delicious food, awesome atmosphere & the staff are top notch. We were well looked after, well fed and loved all of the specials on the evening. Definitely order The Whole Hog pizza complete with pork crackling, it’s the best!

Chachos does a very good pizza.... the pizza base is crispy and light. We love that their toppings are a little different to the norm and if I’m completely honest... anyone who serves me a pizza that’s comes with nacho chips on top has me for life. Nacho pizza for the win!

No hesitation in this 5/5! Chacho's is a little hidden on Chapel, I hadn't heard of it previously as it's so easy to walk past. So happy I've discovered it!<br/><br/>It's quite a sophisticated and classy place, very inviting to dine in. I was super impressed by the quality of their pizzas. They have a Vegemite Pizza which I had to order. It was delicious, loved the flavour and it's definitely my favourite pizza here. I've also tried the Margherita and Trop Fest - they're all great. They also know how to make a great Margarita (cocktail) and have great happy hour specials.<br/><br/>If you haven't been, I'd definitely recommend checking out this fab pizza place.

We went here on Tuesday night and we were lucky it was not busy. The bartender was great and took us through our tequila tasting. I would highly recommend the cocktails, especially the mango margarita and the silk and smoke. The food was pretty good too. Very friendly service. We had a lovely evening.

Chachos is a great addition to the Windsor dining scene offering a unique menu of home made pizzas and burgers with a spicey Mexican twist.  We tried a few of the pizzas and loved the fresh, light bases and yummy toppings.  They also have on offer pizza crust dipping sauces which are a fabulous way to make the whole experience more enjoyable and reduce waste!<br/><br/>We particularly liked the Del Toro pizza, which comes topped with corn chips, sour cream and guacamole - how awesome to have pizza and nachos in one meal!<br/><br/>The cocktails are delicious and they have a fully stocked bar, capable of serving you up pretty much anything you desire.  They also have agave & tequilla flights for you to enjoy. The Pornstar Martini was my personal fave on this occasion.<br/><br/>Staff are friendly and helpful and on hand to offer suggestions if you're stuck on what to order.  <br/><br/>They don't really have a dessert menu, but you're unlikely to be leaving here with room for dessert anyway!<br/><br/>Thanks for having us guys, looking forward to our next visit!

Chachos is a sleek and sexy little space that is very easy to miss from Chapel Street. We were so impressed by the quality of the food and cocktails, and will definitely be returning!<br/><br/>We had the monthly pizza special - the Parmi Salami (~$22) - which was one of the most delicious pizzas I’ve ever had. Loved the flavour profile with house made schnitzel, San Marzano tomatoes, salami and honey. They also ingeniously sell pizza crust dipping sauce ($3) which seriously needs to be the new standard wherever pizza is served! <br/><br/>They also have lots of delicious sides including elote (grilled corn $6), jalapeño poppers ($8) and nachos ($16) - the nachos with chorizo was a meal in itself!! Loved that there were lots of gluten free options too and we’ll definitely be back to try their house gluten free base. The cocktails were also a highlight - the mango margarita was delishhhh.

The food was good. Thanks to zomato gold we got one dish off. Drinks were great too. The staff is very friendly and polite. They make great recommendations too so if your confused just ask them.
Steph
Do not go here, Manager was rude and disrespectful by pushing us out even though there was still 30 minutes left until they closed. Will not come back here again.

The perfect place for dinner dates, birthday celebrations or drinks on Chapel! I've come here a number of times and always leave pleasantly surprised. Great vibes and awesome staff. <br/><br/>I also highly recommend the Pornstar Martini.

No wonder this place is so highly rated. The place oozes happiness I feel. When I went in, Chacho's was buzzing with groups of people. It is one place where you can talk your heart out, laugh out loud without a care in the world.<br/><br/>I certainly did all that when I went with my colleagues during my business trip to Australia. Plus they got some seriously good pizza. The pizza base had the perfect amount of crunch, and the mozzarella dollops were oh so good!
Stevie Gringlas
Chacho's is 100% a one of a kind restaurant! Every time I go there it gets better and better! The staff are fun and energetic and the food is crazy good! My recommendation is to go for the pizza and stay for the cocktails! Dan makes a seriously good cocktail.

Really love Chachos in Windsor - it has a great ambience, the pizzas are delicious, also had sides of elotes, jalapeños poppers, nachos and dipping sauce for the crust (totally obsessed with the dip). Great cocktails too - we tried the mango margarita and the porn star martini.

My partner and I had dinner here and really didn't enjoy the flavours here, it really wasn't for us. The nachos were bland with this weak salsa, the veg pizza we got was really out there (not in a good way) with salsa verde and pickled onions, and the jalepenos poppers were the hottest we've ever had. Hard to recommend

This is an updated review for our second visit. We thought the food was good the last time we came here a while back, but now it seems they have been working hard on improving the quality of their food. It is even better! We had really like the tacos fritos, which is kinda like a Mexican spring roll or taquitos. The holy mole(y) meat lovers pizza is also really good. The mixture of Mexican and Italian blend together amazingly well.

Owner Daniel Xerri was a Mechanical Engineer in his past life and lived in France for 4 years. When he returned to Melbourne he wanted a change of scenery. Enter Chachos's - A funky pizza joint that has been shaking things up on Windsor's Chapel Street.<br/><br/>The kitchen sends out pizzas with a cheeky Mexican twist, whilst the bar makes waves with an exciting tequila and mezcal-focused cocktail list. <br/><br/>We loved tasting our way through the menu. <br/><br/>Our favourite pizza was the Quatro Quesos, which, as its name suggests, was a celebration of all things cheesy and featured four delectable cheeses (ricotta, blue cheese, mozarella and parmigiano) all atop a sesame seed crusted pizza base. Just yum!<br/><br/>The Senor Salami was similarly delicious - a cheeky twist on classical toppings, this pizza boasted a San Marzano tomato base and was adorned with hot calabrese salami, jalapeno, fior di latte, hot honey and rocket.<br/><br/>For something a little off centre, The Great Chicken Parmi Pizza was sheer genius. A pizzaiolo's take on the humble chicken parma, this baby was layered with San Marzano, house chicken schnitzel, leg ham, mozzarella, parmigiano and finished with fresh basil. <br/><br/>Dessert time continued to please. Our evening concluded on a sweet high with decadent chocolate cheesecake served with red berry coulis as well as a fiery yet addictive jalapeno and lime housemade sorbet.

After getting food poisoning from the salami pizza about a month ago we were put off, Although because we love chachos pizza so much we thought we would give it another chance last night. Long story short, up all night vomiting and won’t be getting chachos again. Such a bummer.

Open quite recently 🍕@ Windsor. This gourmet 🍕🍔pizza place have defiantly live up to expectations and high standards. 🍾<br/><br/>The modern decor was inviting, staff were friendly and accommodating . <br/><br/>The must try are the signature chicken and meat lovers pizza. 10x better than your average pizza place . The presentation was amazing and full of diverse layered flavor. <br/><br/>🍹the also have a amazing selection of cocktails and drinks that will fulfill any occasions. <br/><br/>A must try when you are @ Windsor 🏆<br/><br/>Pizza 🎖<br/>

Chachos has a certain coolness and this chilled out space was were we got to sample some clever cocktails & pizzas from an interesting menu. We started with a couple of drinks from the creatively presented Cocktail list, housed within and old DVD cover (ours was Pirates of the Caribbean). The Chachos Margarita was delicious (they totally nailed it) and the Bloody Mezcallier, was a pretty blood orange cocktail had orange tones and a huge smokey hit from the Mezcallier (tequilas older brother). <br/><br/>We started our meal off with the Elote, grilled corn with a delightful chipotle aioli that added a nice level of heat and the parmesan & lime add some creamy  citrus flavours. <br/><br/>Chachos nachos was a lovely combination of fresh flavors, guauc, cheese, sour cream, salsa and coriander all delivered on lovely toasted crunchy corn chips. Yum. <br/><br/>For something different tonight we chose the Vegemite pizza. OMG, this totally rocked my world, a spectacular base topped with garlic, mozzarella, vegemite,  parmigiano & parsley. Think vegemite and cheese on toast with amazing dough.  I haven’t been this excited about a pizza in ages, just WOW.<br/><br/>We pimped up our pizza crust a salsa verde pizza crust dipping sauce, the sauce was full of fresh zesty flavour. <br/><br/>For Dessert we opted for something different, the dessert pizza. This wonderful dough was covered in delicious citrusy lemon curd (lemon butter for the New Zealanders), with a smooth creamy ricotta and a basil leaf for a twist. This pizza was terrific, a second wonderful surprise dish in this varied menu. Well done for thinking outside the box.
Crumbs Of A Foodie
We thoroughly enjoyed tucking into our Thursday night dinner of pizzas and drinks at Chachos Windsor. We started off with a 1800 tequila accompanied with a Tecate Lager and Deadhead dark and stormy cocktail. The drinks menu list is in a DVD cover! Such a fun way to have the menu.<br/><br/>Everything on the food menu looked delish. Took a while to decide what pizza to devour but we decided on the Major Margherita and the Del Toro. The Major Margherita had some delicious fresh flavours and always goes well with a beer. The Del Toro was our favourite. It had fantastic flavours and was a sensational looking pizza. Both of the pizzas bases were delicious too. Not too heavy or thin. Just the perfect base for a pizza! We also tried the pizza crust dipping sauce. What a fabulous idea that was! It made the crust lovely and moorish. You don’t have to leave the crust on the plate ever again. We also had some sides, straight cut fries and the Jalapeno poppers. The fries were nice and chunky and came with a very tasty sauce. The Jalapeno poppers had a nice flavour and the cheese inside was lovely and smooth.<br/><br/>We thought we didn’t have any room for dessert but when we heard that there was Sorbet, we couldn’t say no. We had mixed berry and Jalapeno and lime. Oh boy! Wow, something different. A fair bit of spice in the lime and jalapeño. Mixed well with the mixed berry. We couldn’t stop eating it!<br/><br/>We thank Chachos Windsor for having us. We experienced Chachos Windsor as guests, and all of our opinions are genuine and are based on our experience at the time of our visit.

This place is underrated - I feel it needs to be on the Melbourne radar a lot more! <br/>The best pizza in Melbourne hands down! The crust is perfectly doughy and you can get crust dipping sauces which are an absolute must in my opinion. Service is superb  Great experience all round.

All I can say is that this place is .... AMAZING 😍😍😍 I can’t recommend this restaurant enough ❤️Wonderful customer service, huge serving sizes, great taste and a vibrant atmosphere 😀 Not only do they do great pizzas but their sides are an absolute must have 🙌🏻 Be sure to accompany your meals with the Sweet Potato Salad and Fries 🤩

We absolutely enjoyed our meal at Chacho’s! They have a great selection of pizzas with flavour combinations you don’t really find anywhere else.<br/><br/>We tried two of their pizzas:<br/>🍕 Senor Salami<br/>San Marzano, hot calabrese salami, jalapeno, fior di latte, hot honey, rocket<br/>🍕 El Vego <br/>San Marzano, mozzarella, grilled artichoke, jalapeno, salsa verde, tequila salt<br/>We enjoyed both! The El Vego was really good, and we don’t normally have veg pizzas guys but was quite impressed with this one!<br/>The Senor Salami pizza though - an absolute bomb🙌🏻🔥 we loved all the flavours, and you might have noticed hot honey was one of the ingredients, we weren’t sure how this will fit in a pizza, but turned out loving it!<br/><br/>They also serve delicious cocktails! We loved their Jalapeno Margarita and Coco-Loco!<br/>🍸 Jalapeno Margarita<br/>Chilli tequila, jalapeno, cucumber, lume, agave<br/>🍸 Coco-Loco<br/>Coconut Tequila, elderflower liquor, melon liquor<br/>The Coco Loco is perfect for those of you who like sweet drinks, and the Jalapeno margarita we thought had a strong cucumber taste, so if you like cucumber - there you go!

Been here 3 times in the last month since my first visit. Amazing cocktails and pizzas. Huge fan of the pepperoni and planning to get through the entire cocktail menu!

What better way to liven up a Sunday afternoon than with a visit to a tequila bar? Chacho&rsquo;s in Windsor fits the bill, with a range of tequila and mezcal broad enough to satisfy any connoisseur&rsquo;s taste buds. They&rsquo;ve even got tasting flights for tequilas, if you feel so inclined!. We kicked things off with a lychee margarita and a mango mocktail (unfortunately, some of us have to work on a Monday morning). The mocktail was delicious &ndash; I can&rsquo;t speak for the tequila as I have a reflexive urge for reverse peristalsis upon consumption (#tequilatuesday anyone) but I am assured it was very tasty.

Such a chill atmosphere. I thought the menu being in old DVD covers was pretty cool.<br/>Really enjoyed their pepperoni pizza, you can even order dips for your crust. I do recommend their mango cocktail jug, that was really good.<br/>Super friendly and helpful staff. Will be back!

One of the best, if not the best I've ever had. Hands down best in Melbourne. Amazing Service, Awesome Team and Huge Menu. It is my first visit, but I'm sure i would be coming here again to try more mindblowing pizza's

No service at all! Had to go to the bar and order myself....it was like we were invisible. There were people coming in and leaving within 10mins as they weren’t even given menus. Then there were people coming in and not even being looked at by the staff to help them to a table so they turned around and walked out again.<br/>Food was however decent.
A Chronicle Of Gastronomy
Chacho’s brings Mexican vibes to Chapel St with its bar and pizza offerings. They have a great selection of tequilas and tequila cocktails like the Jalapeno Marg with chilli tequila, jalapeno, cucumber, lime, agave and chipotle rim, or for something smokey, the Silk &

Pizza is great with thin base and crisp as ever. The flavour was amazing. Staffs also the highlight of the place which I think very friendly and professional

Went last night with a friend and had the best time. The pizzas were super tasty not to mention that they give you a sauce do dip in the crust! There was no left overs. I’ll definitely go back.

Awesome pizza’s, great staff, lovely drinks. A highlight of ours was definitely the dipping sauces for the crust and the chicken Parma pizza! Can’t wait to go back!

We visited on a thurs night. A few other couples in the restaurant. Good atmosphere and service.<br/>Great cocktails ( especially the coco loco!) and awesome range of tequilas.<br/>Good choice of pizzas ranging from classic Italian styles, some "aussie" and Mexican fusion.<br/>We shared the Trop Fest and Del Toro pizzas with a side of jalapeno poppers. In my opinion not the absolutely best pizzas ive ever had but still very tasty! Also was nice to try something a bit different to the standard options.<br/>Looking forward to going back again soon.

My partner and I love heading down to Chapel Street for date night, and I stumbled upon Chacho's on Instagram - as a pizza lover, had to give this place a try!The venue had a great, warm vibe and the decor was really well done. Loved the neon Cactus. We ordered the Jalapeno Poppers, the Chachos Nachos and the Hole Mole pizza, and a jug of their Chachos Marg.<br/>The Jalapeno Poppers were really tasty; smooth cheese feeling, with only slight heat. Not crumbed or deep fried which was a first, but definitely a welcomed change. The Nachos were really tasty; everything worked well, and a good portion too. The Hole Mole pizza; woah! Really well put together, love the crust, the cheese pull, and the pork!! Can't forget the pickled onion too, it's essentially a taco on a pizza. Would've loved some more Mole to come through, but that's just me.<br/>Also: shout out to our waitress! Didn't get her name but she was really happy to serve and make sure we were comfortable. Kudos to you!
Dine And Dash
Chachos is a relatively new eating establishment located in the heart of Windsor. The place has already become a quick favourite in Chapel Street and it’s definitely not hard to see why!<br/><br/>Walking into the venue, we were greeted by the owner Dan, who was extremely friendly and eager to please. We adored the decor of the restaurant including the paintings and ornaments on the wall. There is ample seating in the front area as well as seating along the bar. For entrée, we ordered the Stuffed Jalapeños and the Sweet Potato Salad. For mains, we shared 3 pizzas: The Pablo Pepperoni, Los Gardenos and the Del Toro. <br/><br/>The stuffed Jalapeños were absolutely delightful! They weren’t too spicy and the cream cheese was exquisite. We loved the Sweet Potato Salad - it was a very generous serving and a great accompaniment to the pizzas. The honey dressing was divine. <br/><br/>The Pizzas. Wow. Our favourite was definitely the Del Toro, it was an incredibly unique-looking dish with corn chips and guacamole (see photo). The pizza was crunchy and not too oily at all. The Los Gardenos was a vibrant and refreshing pizza with well-cooked sweet potato and broccolini. No complaints. Finally, the Pablo Pepperoni was marvellous! It was a heavier pizza with a huge serving of pepperoni but it was worth every mouthful! Additionally, we seriously had a couple of the best cocktails that we’ve ever had! They have such an extensive alcohol beverage selection, you can’t really go wrong with what you get!<br/><br/>Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our dining experience today. We cannot thank Chachos enough for having us in! We had an awesome night.

Finally a Tequila bar! Chachos has a great range of tequila and cocktails. The Tommy’s Margaritas and Jalepeno pickleback shots are a definite winner. The Woodfire pizzas are also delicious, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing pizzas and cocktails!!! Chachos is the place of pizzas and mexican tapas! <br/><br/>Located on chapel street which is easy to travel to by public transport. We had a few pizzas and had some other nibbles such as grilled corn and their nachos. Pizza portions were generous! Our stand out pizza was their vegemite pizza! A must try pizza if you are fan of vegemite. <br/><br/>Great place to bring friends and have a cheeky bev with a few slices of pizza. Also try the mexican pickle back shots as well - definitely will give you a nice spice kick. Vibes are really cool inside with funky mexican decor and there is outside sitting available if you want to eat outside in nice weather. <br/><br/>Thanks again Chachos!
Nicolette
Obsessed with the jalapeño poppers, the grilled corn and the pepperoni pizza here 👌🏽🍕 Don’t forget to check out their cheeky range of margaritas 🤩🍹 It’s such a chilled atmosphere, a great place to catch up with friends any night of the week for a cheeky pizza and a drink.

Chacho's is the perfect night out. A mix of delicious pizza's with Mexican tapas.<br/><br/>We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here as we were served by Dan and had no complaints, only dreams of coming back! We enjoyed the Senor Salami Pizza which was delicious and the Chacho's Nachos which were next level! We also had a side of Jalapeno poppers which were tasty, and a side of the chipotle mayo to dunk our pizza crust in (such a great idea).<br/>We also had some of the best cocktails that we've ever had. As well as an awesome Tequila shot with a jalapeno infused chaser!<br/><br/>Overall, we had a great time and are definitely coming back!

DISGUSTING, INAPPROPRIATE and OFFENSIVE service. I attended this restaurant for an early dinner with my two well behaved girls. We went to sit down at a table that was offered to us, and we were asked by a gentleman behind the bar (possibly manager) to sit at the table near the bar so that “the children will not annoy the other customers” (or words to that effect). This is outrageous and appalling service to offer patrons and an unacceptable attitude to have towards children in any event. Please do not support this restaurant - one that demonstrates no respect towards children and families and their rights to be treated as equal patrons.

How could you possibly go wrong with Pizza & Tequila? Owner Dan’s knowledge of Tequila will be even to meet the needs of any type of drinker whether it be sweet to bitter. Wood fired pizzas to match in both quantity and flavour makes Chacho’s the place to be

What an awesome experience and place to just be with friends or family! This trendy restaurant incorporates your favourite Mexican items with your classic pizza or Mexican tapas! We loved our visit and was welcomed by friendly staff, and the drinks were perfect! We had some of there delicious Mexican flavoured corn, the Nacho pizza was the best thing ever!!! Then to top it off, we loved the Tequila! They have so much tequila, I just can’t fault this place. I’ll be back for a tequila tasting night before a night out on Chapel!

I had a Margarita and a Margherita! Pizza was perfectly fried, thin base as I like, good amount of cheese. Service was great, staff friendly and attentive.

Booked on EatClub for 30% off and pizza was average, and almost excessive cheese. Hospitality was absolutely average and borderline hostile when we asked to take home our left overs (almost a whole pizza) the waiter said they don’t allow that for EatClub bookings. What an absolute waste of food. Won’t be going back here again.

There is no bad pizza in Melbourne - and Chacho’s is testimony to that. Located on Chapel St close to Windsor station Chacho’s has a very functional menu for those who like to choose their toppings. Start with a simple base such as margherita for $10 and add your choice of toppings.

Overall 3.5/5<br/><br/>Nachos:<br/>5/5 highlight of the dinner -the sauce was super fresh and went well with the nachos<br/><br/>Salami pizza:<br/>3.5/5<br/>It was spicy ...comparing to every hot salami pizza I have ever had..I hope the menu has reminded me about it. The pizza base was very thin and fresh- the crust was a bit too crunchy - almost hard to eat when it cool down a bit. M<br/><br/>Salad:<br/>3/5<br/>The menu says ‘green’ so I was a bit disappointed when it came with 100% baby Spinach. Overall t does not taste special.<br/><br/>Got the tiny chipotle mayo sauce for the pizza crust recommended by the waitress. It was a bit confused that it cost $3 on the bill.

I attended a work function here recently and had a superb night. The bar itself is chic and “cool” with a range of cocktails and wine to choose from. We ordered all of the starters and various pizzas, my favourite was the mushroom vege pizza, just beautiful. The staff were all really friendly and attentive, prices were reasonable and the food was superb. Will be coming back and highly recommend! :-)

Visited Chacho’s for post-work dinner and drinks. The restaurant provides a relaxed atmosphere with great tunes and super friendly staff, you could spend hours working your way through the extensive cocktail list (coco-loco was a winner). My friend and I both ordered pizzas, the Mexican/Italian fusion offered options different to any pizza we have tried before, they were delicious! Would highly recommend giving Chacho’s a go, we’ll definitely be back. <br/>

Have now been back to Chacho’s numerous times. Has been the perfect place to start the night, or even to round up the day with friends. Passion paloma cocktail is absolutely delish. The “whole hog” pizza is a MUST try, and as per the owners recommendation grab a chipotle aioli for the crusts!!! Amazing!!

Gluten Free pizzas are always a risk. All Hail Chacho's Windsor. Finally there is a vibey place that has created the best in house GF dough ever!!! The tequila flights were the perfect way to wash down the best GF Pizza in Australia. Glutards of Melbourne, this is a must!<br/>THANK YOU Chachos. Will absolutely be back! :)

Dropped in Friday night and was pleasantly surprised by the chic fitout and relaxed ambience. The pizza (a pretty spicey one) was simple and really tasty, highlighted by a light and crunchy crust. Cocktails hit the spot, so I didn't have a good reason to leave 😉

Pizzas were awesome, best on Chapel. Cocktail & tequila list really good too. <br/><br/>I had the El Vego pizza, it was well balanced, and the salsa verde was delicious.

Best margarita pizza ever! And we were able to score the $10 special for drinks and pizza before 7 so that was a big win too. Would recommend

A Clash of Worlds<br/><br/>The first thing that struck me about Chacho’s was the beautiful interior. It has the hallmarks of a contemporary Melbourne eatery - chic, sophisticated furnishings awash with a soft glow of light, punctuated by upbeat music and the din of Chapel St outside. This was seemingly the perfect place for dinner and a drink. Reginald R and I were seated by an enthusiastic and friendly waitress. She left us to peruse the menu. This is where the meal started to go awry.<br/><br/>Reginald R and I had not done our due diligence. Chacho’s, we discovered, is a fusion between Italian and Mexican cuisines. Or, rather, it’s pizzas with Mexican overtones. The bulk of the menu is pizza with Mexican themed toppings (if you exclude the oddly placed ‘Great Chicken Parmi Pizza’) and the rest comprises food usually found at a Mexican restaurant ($19 bowl of Nachos, anyone?). For the uninitiated it is a little confusing (fancy Mexican style dipping sauce for the crust of your Italian / Mexican pizza?) Aside from the Spanish sounding names, we reason, these appear to be ordinary pizzas replete with delicious toppings. The jalapeños seem out of place but hey, this is the intersection of Mexico and Italy! They know what they’re doing, it will work!<br/><br/>It doesn’t work. <br/><br/>The nachos we ordered as a starter finally arrived after a long wait. They were burnt. The salsa tasted like BBQ sauce. The guacamole was just crushed avocado and the cream was out of proportion to the other elements. The pulled pork on top was room temperature, immediately evoking an image of various meats languishing in containers before being sprinkled on top of the side dishes as an afterthought. <br/><br/>The pizzas, Se Senor and El Vego, were more disappointing. <br/><br/>Se Senor - the sauce used on the base was sweet, utterly incongruous with the staunchly savoury ingredients atop it. The salami, like the pulled pork before it, did not taste fresh. It left a bad aftertaste. This lack of freshness was further exemplified by the wilted mop of rocket garnishing the centre. Not a single drop of olive oil or seasoning in sight, just a pile of leaves reminiscent of the two day old Coles pre-washed bag that sits in my fridge. <br/><br/>El Vego - again, the ingredients seemed past their best before. The veggies had lost any vibrancy giving the pizza a beige appearance. It was unappetising to behold and equally as underwhelming to eat. <br/><br/>Both did not have enough cheese or seasoning. Whilst the Se Senor packed a spicy punch, this was the only discernible flavour. The El Vego was void of any character entirely. <br/><br/>The Chachos Tonic cocktail was delicious but could not combat the very sobering experience that was our meal. <br/><br/>Chacho’s has the foundations for something great. It is beautiful to look at and the staff are lovely. The concept, however, is baffling. These are two fundamentally different cuisines. This lack of harmony, in addition to tired ingredients, an absence of seasoning, and confused flavours, undermine the restaurant’s potential. <br/><br/>Chacho’s could plausibly become a great Mexican restaurant. With some fine tuning it could easily unseat the boring Fonda franchise down the road and seize the monopoly on tacos and enchiladas this side of High Street. As an Italian restaurant, though, it faces stiff and, at the moment, insurmountable, competition from Small Print, Stoned, and Abacus. <br/><br/>As a hybrid, it is lack lustre at both.

4.5 Chachos brings pizza with a side of wine (and eventually Tequila) to Windsor’s busy Chapel Street. Replacing the French inspired Resto Bobo, Chacho’s perfectly combines...

Nice new pizza place on Chapel. Cosy vibes inside and tasty pizza. The Holy Mole was good, would have been nice to have a bit more of the pickled onions on there to balance out the flavours.

Tried Chacho’s for the first time the other night. Wine and cocktails were fantastic. Pizza was amazing. So happy to have great pizza back in the area. Will be coming back again soon!

Cosy new bar on Chapel... serves amazing cocktails and yummy pizzas and other bites (the good super thin ones). Highly recommend for a night out in the area.
