Arrived just as they were opening. Friendly and courteous. Great food, affordable. Music is amazing. Team bring the food to the table and are polite. I highly recommend dropping in for Vegan Food.

Disgusting experience. I ordered chicken munch with fries, the chicken was black, the fries are mushy...... The patty burger tastes yuck as well. I don’t even know what they put in the sauce, just started turning to solids. I’m worrying about the food safety of this place, I really want a refund.

This place does amazing vegetarian food. The burgers and HSPs are incredible. This is by far one of the best vegetarian restaurants I have ever been too, I highly recommend this place. You won't regret it. This place is also very family oriented and has excellent seating. I'll definitely be coming back. The customer services was excellent too. Keep up the amazing work.

This is my favourite take away restaurant, ever. Don’t go to any other Lord of the Fries because this place is the freshest. The one at Flinders street station 🚉 is set in amongst the pollution and it’s hard to get spark then walk; whereas, Chapel street has car parks for the disabled right out front or down the road a bit. Our dog 🐕 loves the mini vegetarian 🌱 burger 🍔 and we love 💕 the vegan burgers complete with vegan cheese and fresh salad. Lots of sauces to choose from but beware if vegan because some of them are vegetarian and contain scary dairy 🥛 The best part about this Lord of the fries is the sweet potato 🍠 fries. These are amazing: not too oily and so freshly cooked it’s difficult not to scoff them down in one go. Watch out: don’t burn your mouth when you see how good their food is. Hungry Jacks? You have some serious competition here, lol.

Very bad sorry I go pass you but this time I give it ago for the first time but this is what I got . You say your the Lord of the fries but hell burger jack or KFC or a good fish and chip can do better. The question is what are you catering for drunk after a late night around the bend and have no clue what they really eating. The fried was old like when you buy a potato and leave it for a a week or two and it go old and green and if you do cook with it . It doesn't cook it's hard that was the fries taste like and they look old and tied and the chicken didn't taste like really chicken. So yes not happy at all. Just wasted $20. I think the company need to really look at its brand and food quality and standard and what kind of people that they are really catering for.

Old faithful. Open lateish. fries, burgers, Dawgs always hits the spot. Nothing fancy just what you need. Praise the lord. Forever a French Canadian disciple.

LOTF I know you guys were there at the forefront for Vego’s in melbourne being the positive movement for meatless fast food, but you got to realise its 2018! You have so much competition out there!!!! Step it up. I only ever buy the chk’n burger now because everything basically sucks. Your chips have gone dry🤮the sauce options are terrible (why you ever got rid of satay is BEYOND ME) and when you do ask for sauce on your chips its a tiny squirt. Why oh why do i think its always a good idea to come to you guys only to get disappointed haha sorry! Its the truth!

I'm a huge fan of Lord of the fries. I can always go here for a burgers and chips and not be disappointed.

A horrible photo of a good dish. If I'm after vegan junk food, LOTF is my go-to. Even better that they now have vegan chicken and waffles! 1. It's served as a sandwich, genius and 2. Its makes me nostalgic for the American South where I grew up. Windsor is not the most comfortable location and food sometimes takes a while but at least you can sit down and it's convenient when on Chapel.

We decided to get a night bite after work, it was around 11:30pm. Unfortunately the Mexican looked like vomit. The sausage was inedible, it was cold and tasted like rubber.. to actually pay $10 .. go across the road to Lucky Coq for their $4 pizzas instead.

I’m a repeat customer for this order and have never thought to change it up. This particular LOTF is a good one with plenty of sit down space inside and short wait times (my complaint at other stores). so many people dish out of this chain but I really do enjoy their chips. <br/>

Expanding their repertoire to burgers, hot dogs and delicious side, Gastrology were invited to attend an evening at their Chapel Street store to engage in some open conversations about busting common vegan myths with a panel of professionals, whilst tasting some of the their menu.

We got the beyond burgers, mine was just the cheeseburger and my boyfriend got the lot. They’re so good and have such a meaty taste to them. We both just had a stomach ache afterwards, not sure why...

This outlet is definitely hit and miss. Occasionally the staff are very friendly and helpful and then some days they are just plain rude. The food is usually pretty good, sometimes the burgers have too much sauce in them and makes it soo messy to eat (I know some people love that but I do not). Overall I think with some minor improvements, staff training etc, this outlet would be the best!

I ordered a fish burger meal and it tastes terrible, costs $21.5,never comeback again!!!!!!!!!!!!

The rude woman forgot my nuggets firstly, so I had to go back and get them. Then when I got home I realised she’d given me the wrong chips, the ones I ordered were also more expensive. I like every other lord of the fries, do not recommend this one!!!!

I love the fact that everything on the menu is vegan but the rude staff always ruin my experience. <br/><br/>The chicken Parma burger along with the chick’n burger is delicious but when it came to the chips, it was a let down. Chips were soggy and tasteless. Had to drown it in gravy just to improve the taste. <br/><br/>Stick to the burgers ladies and gentleman. Won’t be disappointed.

I have tried every burger and hot dog on the menu, every chip and every sauce. This indicates how good this place is - I just keep coming back! <br/><br/>The Poutine Vegan burger is 10/10 - pure decadence. Mayo, gravy, chips, cheese and patty work together in harmony to make my favourite burger here :)<br/><br/>My favourite chip combo is chunky fries with the spicy Vietnamese mayo. <br/><br/>The HSP is also delicious however I think more garlic could make it even tastier.  4.5/5.

It's good for a quick snack. The sweet potato fries are actually very enjoyable. Fries have always been cooked fresh to order when I have visited and portions are pretty filling.

I love chips but these were Dissapointing. Flabby soft and boring. Not worth the wait and the money. And the place was freezing cold. So many better places to go.

Cold hotdog, fries had black bits all over them. Some of the fries were raw and drenched in sauce like a soup 😂. No love. Cheap crap food. Only good thing I can say is the lady who served us was nice. I didnt have the heart to tell her my hotdog was cold. I won't be coming back.

It is love hate relationship with this place. I hate myself for going here. The food tastes okay but addictive in a Maccas kind of way. <br/><br/>It is a vegetarian joint using fake meat. It also means most of the stuff is frozen and heated. Food can be oily and I bet you can tell it's not very healthy. Chips are oily but sometimes tasty. The sauces are rather ordinary. <br/><br/>This is a joint that should be priced like Maccas with $5 burger and $2 chips. But it's twice as expensive and of lower quality. Who pays $20 for unhealthy fast food. Yet I go once in a while. At least it's vegetarian. Please don't go to lord of fries. Be a better person lol

It's always a love/hate relationship with The Lord of the Fries. While I've eaten at many versions of this chain, I have today chosen to review this one as it is my favourite. <br/><br/>Hate: the slow service! It's the only hate I have and it seems consistent across this chain so I won't judge too harshly. It always takes far longer than expected to get your chips. However..<br/><br/>Love: ahh just about everything else! Don't let the negative start get to you because I only put it first to get it out of the way. This is the biggest LOTF I've been to in person, with enough seating for maybe 20 or so parties, it's very big! My favourite order here is the shoestring fries with East L.A. sauce. This is something a bit special and as a result costs 50c or so extra. This is for the liquid cheese. As far as pleasures go, this is one of my more guilty ones but I love it. It comes with jalapeno too. Oh man.. mouth watering just thinking of it.

The Halal Snack Pack is a winner! I'm not vegetarian, but the beef strips were pretty good. The combination of sauces and of course the chips and cheese was really tasty! Keep the HSP on the menu!!

Chips were soggy and covered in so much sauce it was impossible to eat. Small menu with not many options and not very good value. You can do better.

Although it a always seems like a good idea (especially after a number of drinks), I never actually feel great afterward. High calorie soy based products might be to blame?! Anyway, tasty, but would love less soy products and I'd frequent this place more.

Are you kidding me! Lord of the what? This place needs help! Starting from customer service all the way down to the Hot Dog and it's Atoms, electrons and protons. I looked for their unique selling proposition and realised, they don't have one. Ok maybe i'm exaggerating a bit but, seriously melbourne, we're better than that! Lord of the fries, "pick up your act" yesterday!

Didn't do much for me....soggy chips that are expensive. Small serving of chips and way too much sauce. Burger was a little better but not by much.

I would highly recommend to try Parma burger and fries with French Canadian gravy. And specially the staff on Chapel street lord of the fries are very friendly.

If you're looking for Vegan fast food on Chapel St, look no further than Lord of the Fries. The staff are friendly, the food is tasty, and the environment is friendly. The food can be a bit on the pricy side for what it is, but it's cruelty free so go for it! Try the Melbourne Dog.

The burgers was nice and if you weren't told it was a vegetarian burger you might not notice. The biggest gripe I have about this place is that I just wanted a burger (about $8.90 or something) and to pay with card. But the minimum is $10 so I had to buy a drink. Come on guys get with it!!

Went here on New Years Day in the Morning at around 2 Found a bug in my food at the very end of my munch box.. Informed the person on the counter.. I never asked for a replacement but would have surely been happy with an apology .. Never got one.. They blamed it on the light in the sitting area.. If you guys know that the light in the sitting area has bugs why dont you clean it.. Worst way to treat a customer.. Please learn some manner!! I wish Zomato has negative rating!!

Lord of the Fries has been around for quite some time and RNIS was invited to their branch in Prahran along with other bloggers and people to hear about World Vegan day and try some delicious goodness. Lord of the Fries is a vegetarian/vegan place which does stellar burgers and they support the Vegan day festival. They have been doing so for a long time. In saying that they now have eight stores in Melbourne and Sydney. They are looking to expand globally especially to India.  They used to be just a picnic spot in Albert Park with just 100 people attending a picnic. And they opened the store on Elizabeth st. It was popular for a while with about 30 blog posts but due to landlord issues they shut just last year.

Decent vegetarian takeaway option if youre looking for quick food! Affordable yet yummy. But to be honest there's plenty around chapel street so if you're looking for quality nourishing food look elsewhere. I recommend the East LA chips!

One of the best veg options around. Tastes good as well.. Plenty of options.. Try guru burger with extra patty and jelepenoes.. And chips with aioli.. Its awesome

For a vegetarian burger, I actually thought it tasted ok. The chips are alright. I wouldn't come back here normally, as there are plenty of better burger places around.

Everything is vegetarian with options for vegans. This particular location offers a good sit-down area. Had the spicy burger and fries. Thought the burger looked different. Ate it all and enjoyed it and I go over there very frequent. <br/><br/>What more can I say?<br/><br/>Delicious! Best Burgers I had ever tasted. Great vegetarian food. I am not a vegetarian, but occasionally go meat free, and did so today as we had our vegetarian daughter home from uni. We shared some fantastic onion rings, fries and we each had the parma burgers. They were delicious. The plus for me is I have a nut allergy and they are able to cater for me. Will go back.

Perfect for any meat loving vegetarians. Naughtiest, most delicious vege burgers around and great fries to go with it. Love it.

I had no idea this was a vegetarian place! Great for vegos who miss a decent burger. Had a hot dog with jalapeños and sweet potato fries..both very good. Even my meat eating other half liked it. Look forward to trying the chickn burger.

Melbourne is the home of vegetarian fast food chain Lord of the Fries and even though we have a store in Sydney, I love visiting the ones in Victoria as they have seating so you can eat in! I’m hoping they’ll open a bigger Sydney store soon.
