Review The Grill On George - Windsor

One of my favourite burger joint. You can always expect a great experience here, though eating the king George II or III can get a bit messy! But overall, lovely good and more bang for your buck!!

Best burger joint - I really wish they would open one in the city near my work. Everything is right about this place - quality / freshness / price / speed. Just the perfect combo you are looking for. Get the Dave, or Jack if you want beaf. Don’t eat at the table outside, go to the green patch near the river. Fewer flies and great view. Then go to gelato 66 to cook it down.

Really great burgers. The pattie meat was super tasty on the beef burger we ordered. The schnitzel was tender and cooked perfectly. Big and dense burgers, with very generous chicken salt on the chips. The only thing was the wait time. Would expect a shorter wait time for a burger place, but waited close to half an hour.

I had a burger from here a couple of years ago and it was great so i wanted to get a burger from The Grill on George again. I waited for 25 minutes on a Friday afternoon for them to "cook" the burger (there were not many other people around, so not busy). When i unwrapped the burger i could smell curry which was off-putting. The flavours from the first bite i took were ok (except for the relish which was the source of the curry) but i couldn't eat the rest of the beef pattie as it was not just undercooked but raw in parts. It cost $16.50 for the George burger which ended up being expensive for a beef burger without the beef. Also wasn't a fan of the bun being toasted on the top rather than just the inside. Very disappointed.

Burger is always great but service is awful. Took me ten minutes to get served while standing at the counter and 40 minutes to receive my order!! Owner needs to do something, this place is severely understaffed during peak hours, staff simply cannot keep up

Overly expensive now and the burgers are nothing like they used to be. The previous owners from a few years back were great! Unfortunately it’s gone down hill now with these new owners. For two burger meals + chicken chips it came to $60!! Won’t be returning.

A tasty fresh and well portioned, homemade classic burger. I ordered the George and I was very full.

Also ordered were the hot chips. They were also very tasty and not bland.

close to the best burgers you will ever have .. fresh and tasty without that oily gristle most burgers have .. cant go past the George or the Jack burgers - both 5 stars .. the chips arent too bad just a bit bland.
simple looking shop but its all about the Burgers.

Looks like a dive but the burgers are seriously the best we have had in Sydney (and we eat a LOT of burgers). The Big Charlie was so tasty with double amazing patties, magic sauce and god-damn tasty everything. A wonderful package.

The Dave with a chicken schnitzel was the most delicious burger. My stomach is thanking me. I want to marry this burger.

Chips are ok. GET THE GRAVY IT IS DELICIOUS!!!!!

Thank you world for introducing me to this magical place.

I have never had better burgers before!
Top quality!
Always fresh and the chicken is cooked beautifully with great flavour to it.
Everything is literally perfect! (Besides the chicken chippies. Gross.)
For $10 you get quite a large burger full of flavour.
Service is quite fast too.

The shop looks like the hundreds of other standard takeaway shops dotted over Sydney and its surrounds. But order a burger here and you are surprised (in the best manner imaginable). Cooked fresh and to order, this burger experience is highly recommended. The ingredients (cheese, tomato relish, creamy mayo) are top notch; the bread is almost a ciabatta, toasted just right. Beef patties are tasty and grilled well, the chicken breasts tender and juicy. The menu is easy to read, and you know exactly what you are getting. I can not complete this review without making a mention of George the III, a triple patty, triple bacon, triple cheese monstrosity that is so bad that it is really good (if you're able to finish it, that is). Give this joint a visit, you will not be disappointed.

This place is absolutely amazing. Their burgers are the tastiest and most amazing burgers I have ever had. I ordered "the bob" and it was one of the most satisfying burgers I have ever had. The size was also amazing. Just a single "Bob" was bigger then most burgers at any other place. The owners are also funny and down to earth. I have no negative comments on this burger shop. Even the price is very affordable and worth the value. 11/10 would recommend.
