Review Macquarie Arms Hotel - Windsor

On Tuesday evening, after a thunderstorm, the heat and dust was washed away. I was seeking a quiet place to stay alone with a cup of beer. I stepped in, went upstairs, sit in the front balcony. The mild night breeze, the cool Cooper beer, no one else in the balcony, it’s so relaxing, ...... simply can’t find a better place than this.

Want to give five stars for the consistently great steak and veg dinners and nice staff at the bar, but can only give four stars because the furniture and decor is a bit worn out, but aside from that a nice and good value place for a quality casual feed and couple of drinks. Tip: if having gravy on your steak, ask for it "on the side". Steak nice enough without it though.

Absolutely loved the place. Its Australia's oldest working pub. Has a great vibe, live music and very tasty food. Plus, the place is huge. Parking could be a bit of a problem as its busy. Very nice biker stop.

1st time my family have been to this venue and had the best grilled barramundi ever. The Nachos were great as well. Very enjoyable time in a very gorgeous old building. Staff are very friendly. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Oldest pub in Australia and one of the best. Coopers on tap (pale and xpa) - what more could you want. Staff are friendly and happy hour every day 4-6. Nice ambience from a really old pub. Views over the park is nice as are the myriad of small rooms to sit.

This is such a cute traditional pub, with massive portions of food. Ever better that it tastes so great. I order a classic chicken Schnitzel with pepper gravy and it was amazing and the gravy was creamy and perfect. I’m just disappointed I couldn’t finish it all. I love the vintage feel, It’s just a traditional Aussie Pub Cheap meals Cheap drinks Family friendly Casual date night

Loved this Pub and the kids did too, the food was great, (it’s a memorable burger :) )and not boring and overpriced like I’m seeing at inner city places now. The portions were large and prices very realistic too. Good choice of beers. The staff are pretty cool too, very friendly and helpful. There’s lots of room and the old school upstairs balconies are my choice.

A must see for visitors to the area. The oldest operational pub in Australia. Still going strong! Have never had a bad meal in the restaurant. Bar staff are friendly. Locals too. Make sure to stop in for quick beer 🍺
