Review Expresso House Windsor - Windsor

I used to be a regular here and was in the area so stopped in. The place is still as amazing as before. Amazing food and coffee. One of the best!

I’m reluctant to do this review simply because this cafe is perfect and quaint and a part of me doesn’t want everyone to know about this secret haven. The food is made with soulful love and you can taste it. Prices are in the mid-higher price range but the quality is high and the service was excellent. I would say that the best time to enjoy this cafe would be in less peak-hour times since this cafe seems to be very popular with the locals. I arrived later in the morning and they had sold out of vegetarian dishes. The owner went out of her way to create an off-the menu treat that was tasty and took my food intolerances into account. I expect seats may not always be available in front or in their back area because it’s small but it’s now one of our new favourite cafes in Brisbane. We will be back!

Lovely setting and quaint. Lovely service and the setting lives up to its Bohemian listing. The coffee is good and I bead pleasantly surprised by the generous serving size of the coffees

Really good coffee and friendly staff make this a great suburban cafe. We love the fruit toast for breakfast but there’s a selection of other food as well (the mushroom omelette is popular). Just up the road from Kenton Brook so usually some dogs relaxing here with their owners after a swim or walk. 🐕👍

Wow! The coffee has a different taste...it’s amazing! Not like ur regular boring coffee bean. Perfect temperature too. The chocolate on top of the cap tastes so good! Yum! I asked the lady if she had eggs. She was just making up mushroom ommlettes. Cause I came in super early, they hadn’t been made yet. It came out super quick. Within what felt like 5 mins. I thought I would’ve had to wait 30mins or so. Nope! So quick. Omg! Perfectly seasoned. No need for sugar in the coffee or salt and pepper on the food. They are very nice. I think if u come in with a polite relaxed attitude, they reciprocate. They obviously put their heart and soul into this place. I have a very happy tummy now. Thank u so much!

A nice and pleasantly small coffee shop! I sat down and ordered a cappuccino, which was smooth and well-brewed! This place is located in the suburbs, so I could enjoy my coffee in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere in the morning! The staff were very friendly and didn't have to wait long for the coffee. Definitely will go back!

When your sat down with your friend and 10 mins later theyre finishing their coffee..so you get up go in an request a water with you coffee..then have to explain who what etc.. So eventually it comes..sans sugar that you specficlly requested 1/4 of an hr ago.... So you get up AGAIN go to the counter explain all over again how you requested sugar ..blanked then ASK FOR SUGAR PLEEEASE. He doles out the one tiniest packet from behind the counter clutching it like its his first born.🤣

Family friendly coffee house with attentive staff and amazing consistent coffee and fresh food. High chairs available, fruit toast and mini cereals for babies. Stroller access to the rear courtyard is difficult because of lack of space and stairs inside but there are plenty of nice tables out front so it's not a problem. A great place for mothers like myself to enjoy some leafy, quiet suburban peace.

After the nice brekkie from the Valentino, I felt like to have another nice coffee for my journey back home so dropped to this nearby espresso, which I have not been back nearly three years.
Nothing has been changed outside the cafe and there was only take away order available due to the pandemic.
Di Bella coffee is still the main brew that it serves, which provides consistently strong and smooth flat white for me.
Thank you, boss😋
Previous rating: July 2017 5/5

I used to go here quite often. Got sick of the hot and cold attitude of the staff. Will not go back again. The bagels were good but not worth me going back for. I'll find somewhere else where I feel always welcome.

Based upon Ronnie's glowing review I was eager to try out this coffee shop. Actually we ended up having breakfast there as it was very pet friendly. The area is abound with pooches everywhere due to a close proximity to a swimming & off leash area I guess. So we were all happy, despite not having a large brekky menu, (they just have what is in the front cabinet) the polite host offered to make me up some avocado & the barista poured two excellent flat whites. The Di Bella coffee was excellent, good depth of flavor with some great looking coffee art

How does a place like this actually stay in business? Instant attitude from the moment we walked in, completely overpriced with a massively limited menu of muffins and bagels (stale BTW). The woman who owns the business clearly despises children and scolded our daughter, called her "naugthy" (she is 2) we clearly were not welcome there. The worst cafe experience in Brisbane.

I love this little coffee house....the owners are so warm and friendly, so welcoming and accommodating. It truly is the best place for consistently good coffee and the food on display is always fresh and delicious. I adore the chicken and avo bagels and the omelettes and salads too! Highly recommended!

Friendly staff, great coffee and close to home. Being a local, I love popping down for a coffee or a snack from the cabinet and having a friendly face to serve it is also great. This would be my only choice for coffee in the Grange area.

Sometimes good. As a local I've been here a few times and my experiences vary. The quality of the food and coffee are great. Service can be slow, particularly when the cafe is busy. I think it is a bit overpriced. Kids are sometimes welcome, other times not. I find this a bit unusual for the area as we are always made to feel welcome with our kids (5y and 3y) in other local cafes.

If you love standing at the counter for 5 minutes before even being acknowledged, burnt and seriously overpriced coffee and microwave reheated food (also ridiculously overpriced. Seriously, $7.90 for a bacon and egg muffin smaller than my palm?!!) then this is certainly the place for you. I am by no means fussy but after the abysmal service and quality they won't be getting my return visit. A shame because it's within walking distance and looked so promising.

Have been hearing good things about this place and wow we loved it. The coffe is by Di Bella and made to a very high standard. The food is very different to other cafe's. You really have to experience this one, you will love it.

It is great to find a relaxing homey cafe that has consistently great coffee, genuine warm service and fresh food. Michelle and Robbie are such lovely people - it is their warmth that makes this little cafe unique - and I never have to ask for my coffee to be extra hot as it perfect every time.

Will be Back. A friend & I chose Espresso House for our regular coffee catch up yesterday. Centrally located and with good coffee reviews - weren't disappointed. The coffee was great, the selection of food in the cabinet was good and I was pleased to see some juices (of the green/kale/detox) variety in the fridge.
My children (2 x 4yr) were welcomed and we were all most delighted with a generous macaron and mini-smoothie on the house, just before we left.
I hear they have a jazz session once a month, so planning to return again for that :)

Great coffee & friendly service. Enjoyed an iced coffee in the courtyard. Lovely staff. Worth a visit.

Cute place but I found the food a bit overpriced considering its pre made and re heated.

Well made Di Bella Coffee by Rob and his team. Delicious food and very kid friendly. Our regular destination!

Love this place. Great coffee, nice food and friendly service.
Colouring in pencils and pictures provided for kids. Water bowl for dogs. Bike rack provided. Lots of recent magazines to read.
The worst criticism I have is that the seating is a bit pokey, it's not a place for a big gathering, but then it's not supposed to be.
Not sure about the anti-child sentiment, we take our toddler there and always feel welcome. We see plenty of other kids too.
But given the pokey seating its probably not a good place for wriggling kids or a large family.

Child Friendly. Michael this is a very child friendly cafe. But it always helps if the child/children are well behaved and don't spoil the experience for other customers. I regularly visit with my 2 year old granddaughter and always feel very welcome.

Coffee, food and service are excellent.

In Love .... For the past few months our twice weekly visits have become almost daily visits to this quaint, warm and welcoming little cafe in the suburb of Windsor. My Children are delighted to see what is up for grabs this week in the colouring in book and who has left messages on the black board in the courtyard x The Di Bella coffee is not to be faulted in any way and the service is second to none . Thank you Espresso House Windsor for giving the locals just what we have always needed .

The food and coffee was great. Strangely for a place in the suburbs that sets up a play area i would not take children here after my friends were told they were not welcome here. Very strange. Hopefully the manager will sort this out
