Peter and I had a great time, meal and a good sleep on our way home to Brisbane, after three days of riding in the rain. To the team behind the bar (Ben and Julia), the great kitchen crew with many thanks for the extremely tasty roast of the day. I didn't get to speak to the hotelier, but Peter did;

My partner and I came for lunch a few weeks ago, we had a Parma/chips & salad for lunch with mushroom gravy, it was the best mushroom gravy I’ve ever had!! Was awesome thanks wingham pub ❤️

Nice old pub and decor. Checked in at 2.02pm on a Friday for lunch to be told that the kitchen stops cooking at 1.50pm! I’ve definitely been to more welcoming country town pubs.

Call me a weary traveller, but the chargrilled local rump with house made pepper sauce, served with fresh side salad and crisp chips hit the spot. Haute cuisine be damned, this was exactly what we needed. The ambiance was quiet the night we went being a Tuesday but that suited us just fine too. Simp
