So happy to have a proper ramen place in Wollongong. The Beast ramen broth thick, silky and flavourful. Karage chicken and tonkatsu sides were a beautiful accompaniment.

Last week my husband and I tried a new ramen shop in Wollongong: Beast - Good Food Eatery. And let me tell you, the ramen there is perfection! As total ramen snobs (lived in Japan/travelled multiple times) we were so stoked to find an authentic joint close to home! They also do delicious karaage chicken (just like in Japan) and I’m planning on trying the teishoku set next week! The place is clean, airy and neat. And the staff are polite and friendly with quick service. I enjoyed finishing every drop of my ramen soup (the collagen is good for your skin 🥰) Gochisousama deshita!

Pretty good ramen which is surprising for the area. The pork tonkatsu set was good too. The gyoza was ok

I love this place! Delicious authentic food prepared and served by real Japanese chefs and staff. Their menu is fairly limited and a bit on a pricey side though.

Had the most delicious lunch at Beast & Bread today!! The service was friendly, the coffee was great but that food was amazing. Slow cooked pork and crackle with all the salads. Thank you

Amazing slow cooked meats and beautiful hearty salads. Everything is relatively locally sourced - even the furniture. The owners are some of the most genuine and lovely people. Definitely a business I feel good about giving my money to. A must-try lunch spot for all Wollongong food lovers.

11 of us had lunch here and tried quite a lot of the menu. The verdict was unanimous - the food here is outstanding, fresh and delicious. Tastes as good as it looks in the photographs. Relaxing ambience, friendly service and great decor! Definitely a place we will go back to, when next in Wollongong. Bev Galloway

Best salads and southern style chicken I've tasted ever! Both times I have been here I didn't get that sick feeling in the stomach you get when you've had Maccas, KFC or the local chinese shop food. I am also a big fan of pale ales and they do have a rather nice selection.

Have been many times and the food is always spectacular. Will return again and again.

Best coffee in all wollongong. And that southern chicken roll is to die for. And you can't go wrong with a muesli slice from here either ;)

Fantastic healthy food with a range of slow cooked meats and delicious salads to choose from - hubby and I just loved it! The service and atmosphere is brilliant! We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and so did our 2 (normally fussy) kids who devoured their meatballs. Big thumbs up from us and highly recommend!

After reading the reviews we thought we’d stop in for our lunch as we were from out of town. What a pleasant stop! The sandwiches we had were SO tasty and fresh. It has unique flavours and was so impressed by the flavours. Great rustic feel in a quick location. Just really nice.

Finally tried this cafe, it's only a minute walk from Wollongong Central. It's cool cafe with open kitchen and simple yet stylish decor. We arrived at 11am and the waiter said the salads not ready yet, but who the hell having salad on breakfast. Me and hubby were ordered cheese toastie ($9.9) that because we just need light meals to start the day. It was made from ciabatta filled with guyere cheese and pickles and served with bbq sauce. Simple dish and fulfilling. And for drinks we ordered cappucino and chai latte. The latte was a bit milky (too much milk i guess) but it's all right. If you feell wanna have healthy food, here the right place for you cause their signature dish is protein plate (mix of protein&salad).

Nice little eatery with nice design and chilled ambience. I liked the location in the city centre, yet it feels like its away from all. the food looks very fresh but I found the food a bit bland...not my cup of tea.

Is the emphasis more on the bread at B & B?   I reckon it's more on a healthy lifestyle.  There is something refreshing about the menu.  There are already so many cafes for breakfast and  brunch in the Wollongong region  - but B & B stands out, the moment you step in, mindful of the steps from the sloping and narrow Crown Lane, and note the sandwiches, salads and other stuff on people's tables.  And what a crowd it was, with me mindful that Humber was just next door.It must be more than just the food.  Ales, wines and beers?  That helps.   Yummy sandwiches, a definite yes.   Salads bring us to a new dimension, for example:- Cinnamon and Paprika Roast Potato with Zucchini pickle, chive, shallot and Cuban Mayonnaise.- Ramen Noodle Slaw with Edamame bean, sweet cucumber and fried onion.- Spiced Roast pumpkin, green bean and fennel. And I still have not quite nailed the X Factor.....
