Review Turkish Paradise Restaurant - Wollongong

Really delicious Turkish food. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating with the indoor back area decorated Turkish style. The staff are friendly and the food like adana, pides, skewers are made fresh. Stand out was the sucuk pide. The pastry was amazing and the side of hummus was really yummy. Nothing like the store bought hummus.

We were looking for a place for a meal on one of the nights we were in Wollongong. This was the quietest of the Vietnamese/Asian restaurants, A good place to eat. Friendly staff and big & tasty portions. It's nice to seat outside and we will be back.First time at this restaurant and a wonderful experience. Family operated, very pleasant manners and delicious food.

I like this place. The people are great. The food is pretty fantastic. There is a kebab area for take away and full sitting area in the rear. It doesn't look like it would be a great restaurant when you view it from the street. You have to go inside past the take away area into the back area where the tables and chairs show the Turkish flavour. You will see when you go. It is not a cheap restaurant but on the other hand it is not really expensive either. There is a full bar and a couple of lagers on tap. We always have a good time when we go there. I would recommend you try it for yourself.

Don't get the banquet at $40pp. Although the first course of dips were amazing the rest of the meal was a big disappointment. Kebab meat very small, could've been 2 to 3 times the amount and desert tiny tiny. Nice people, I'll try something else but banquet not worth $40.

I have been here a couple of times in the past and have been meaning to write a review for a while. My biggest concern with this restaurant is the icy inflexibility of the staff. A simple request to split the bill (when the restaurant was not busy at all) was met with a stern refusal, as if *I* was being rude. It almost became an argument. I have no intention of eating at this restaurant again; there are so many decent food options in the Gong, served with humility and a good attitude.

Tasty fresh food and very quiet in the dine in section on Sunday afternoons with good service. Don't be put off by the takeaways being served in the front section, behind this there are great tables that allow you to dine and take the time to relax and chat. Delicious baklava and Turkish delight to go with the coffee or tea to finish the meal.

Glad to know there are some halal shops as well near Wollongong beach areas. Food was nice but serving is quite small. They should have standard size pizzas instead of the smaller versions.
