Review Tony's Chicken Shop - Wollongong

I wish I took the advice from the bad reviews from this place. Bought a bbq chicken and a tray (not the largest size either) of seafood/pasta seafood salad, which came to a total of $57 with no drinks!!!! Such a rip off. The chicken was dry and the seafood in the salad tasted old and fishy. How can they charge so much for a salad especially when it’s frozen seafood. Never again.

We had Tony's Chicken Shop cater for our recent Church's Anniversary with 115 people needing to be fed. We had MANY compliments around how delicious the food was, and there was SO much on each plate. Thank you SO much for taking the stress away around the food. It was very yummy and I couldn't fault anything. SO THANK YOU!!!! Julie

I used to be a regular customer and loved Tony's chickens. However I bought one today and the chicken was under cooked. It's making me sick. I don't know if Tony still has this shop but definitely not the same chickens. I will never buy from this place again.

Ordered a mussaka for pick up yesterday. When I phoned the shop to explain i would pick up the food the following day I was met with a rude lady who told me not to bother coming to get it. She was very unreasonable. Even when I originally ordered this she was rude as well. I used to love Tony's chicken shop but these new owners do not know what customer service is and the food has gone downhill. I will never go there again after how I was treated.

The worst experience of our lives wish Tony never sold this they need to change the name as they are giving him a bad name poor food quality and very rude customer service telling customers its there fault for ordering that they should know better when the stuff should learn when doing catering they should ask questions will never order again from there such a dissapointment

Ordered catering for my Birthday they rang and told me they couldn't deliver as the driver was having his covid injection. Which was fair enough so arranged to pick it up a bit earlier but when I got there the owner had left to deliver my food. The girl rang the owner he said to her he was 5 mins from where it was to be delivered and to make sure I paid delivery which was $25. I paid but not happy about it what a balls up. Then the food wasn't all that great roast potatoes and roast pumpkin looked boiled . The fried rice was overcooked and yellow. This is the last time I use Tonys Chicken shop.

Good & reliable local caterer. Food is nice and very reasonable price. Service is good, too. Stress free for hosts if you want home parties or corporate functions.

Nice people, good food. The portions are great and everything is nicely cooked and tasty. The gravy is delicious and the roast chicken is moist. The typical (I don't use that word in a negative way here) Aussie/Brit fish 'n' chip shop fare is just what you'd want when you want tasty hot chips and deep fried seafood. The fried chicken is good although it's KFC levels of greasy, but the seasoning is tasty. I've been a fan of Tony's since I was a kid, and I've been ordering from them a lot since the current world state began I will say; I haven't been in the actual store for a while, since new management, and I've heard that the Greek painting on the wall is gone now. As an artist that does make me very sad, I don't know why it needed to be removed. The thing that I will absolutely rant and rave about from Tony's though, over anything else, is the trifle they sell. I swear they must put crack in it because I'm addicted to that trifle. I've literally woken up at night craving it. I dunno if they make it all in house or order in the sponge cake or something, and I don't even care honestly because it's bloody delicious. The trifle at Tony's is better than sex. The only disappointing part about it is the moment when there's none left. I have to fight myself when I order, not to order like three servings of it. I feel like that 1700s king who died after eating 11 servings of his favourite pudding, but instead of pudding I'm gonna die from Tony's trifle. If you like sweet things and fresh strawberries, buy the trifle!
