food was so disappointing. Paid $35 for a steak and it was all fat and tendons. Honesty couldn’t eat half of it. Friends steak was the same. Just cheap meat. And the jus was just water. Completely flavorless. Gave 2 stars because entrees were pretty good and staff were nice. But won’t be coming again.

My partner and I celebrated our engagement party at the Daring Squire on Friday and what an incredible night it was. The venue itself is spacious with plenty of seating for 100+ guests, the bar and catering staff were incredibly helpful and polite, we received so many compliments on the food from our guests and everything ran smoothly from our initial enquiry all the way through to packing up at the end of the night. A big shout out to Melanie (event coordinator) who made it all happen for us on such short notice. Thank you Daring Squire!

We went to this place for my nieces birthday. Staff are friendly and great service. Food was great. Great range of James Squire beers to try. We had a great time and would definitely be back

Tasty food, had the eggplant parmagiana and schnitzel special ($7.50) which was amazing value. Lovely restaurant but with hardly any customers on a Wednesday, it felt a bit too empty. Had two delicious beers, an IPA and a porter.

We celebrated our wedding reception at The Daring Squire on 4th June 2022 and it couldn't have been more perfect !!
Our guests couldn't stop raving about how beautiful the room was and how delicious the food was. We chose from the cocktail menu and there was so much food that noone went home hungry and it was all so yummy !!!
All our planning was made so easy in preparation for the day and the staff executed everything perfectly on the night, it was everything we could have asked for and more !!!

Don’t come if you’re looking for pub grub. Very unsubstantial menu. Very disappointing. On the plus side, if you’re looking for beer or a nice setting, this is the place. Customer service is exceptionally good. Just very disappointed by the food trying to be something it’s not.

Fantastic, really awesome venue. Came here for lunch on a Friday surprisingly quiet, but the service did not lack in any way. The food was top quality and exciting especially if you try the entrees or mains as opposed to a pizza or steak (both of which were fantastic) plenty of wine and spirits to choose from. The beers on tap were James squire only but had a couple of taps that isn't available in bottle.
