Review Thai Gong Restaurant - Wollongong

Beautiful food, the first time we came here we fell in love with the food. They have the best chefs, I wanna take him home 😁 The staffs always smiles, very friendly, and polite . We always comes here for lunch. Very good price as well. Well deserved 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food was really yummy and priced accordingly. We reserved a table and fortunately we were placed in one of their booths, which offered us plenty of room. The BYO option is an added bonus, and they cater for many different dietary requirements. The only reason they didn't get 100% was because the service was very basic and all our food got served up together instead of seperate like we asked.

The food was tasty, staff were friendly, and priced accordingly.... BUT. On the night we went, the service was lacking. Our curry came out first whilst we were still waiting for the coconut rice. As we were finishing up, our drinks (2x Thai milk tea) were not even served yet, so we had to cancel those. Everyone else around us seemed to get their food and drinks on time. It really seemed they were understaffed on this night.

Thai Gong a overall good Thai restaurant. The entires which were bought were Satay Chicken Skewers, and Vegetable Curry Puffs. The Satay Chicken had a good texture and a large amount of extra Satay on the side, the chicken was good but satay was just put onto if the chicken not marinated in it. The curry puffs were good the pastie on the curry puffs was good and fluffy. The filling was also very good. The mains which were Green Chicken Curry, and Chill Basil Chicken. The green chicken curry was good but different to most green curry’s. The meat to vegetable ration was good on both dishes. The Chill basil was decent I felt it could of been stronger taste but still delicious. Over all it was good the cost was not expensive at around $50, the Satay Skewers would have to of been the best out of the four dishes but none of them were bad. I would rate this a 4/5 an overall good result and would highly recommend.

Went there with a group of guys last night and was very pleased with the excellent customer service. The lady was so nice and helpful! No complaints whatsoever with the food also… Will definitely go back! Great night out

Had a dine at Thai gong. Tried sizzling chicken,beef, seafood hotplate and BBq chicken. Food was delicious.

Vibrant and inviting decor, friendly staff and an extensive menu greet you on arrival. The food is delicious and main meals are a generous size with fresh ingredients and delightful flavours. I chose a chilli and peppercorn dish with crispy pork. Pork was delightful and dish had a nice spicy bite but I suspected was toned down for I presume local tastes. Would I visit again? Absolutely, but I will request my dish to be extra spicy next visit. If you are looking for a Thai resturant with a friendly atmosphere and great food this is one restaurant you should definitely visit.

Friendly service, extensive menu with good price in the heart of Wollongong city, everything we ordered was tasty. Crispy pork belly pad Thai, satay noodles, fried ice cream was delicious. Would recommend!
