Love the truffled pearl barley, love the yam chips, love the steak cooked to perfection. Chocolate brownie is to die for....hands down the best meals in Wollongong. Highly recommend.

What a nice dining experience. We started with the equivalent of a beef and reef which was of a substancial size with all elements cooked to perfection. No messy unnecessary sauces as the individual elements were on there own winners and full of flavour the steak was cooked to prefection. Desert followed a fig pannacotta decorated with caramelised fig, strawberry and a drizzle of honey - very nice. The Chef has a flare with presentaion and flavour elements, will certainly return

Innovative dishes, local ingredients, interesting flavors. Great ambience, friendly staff. The crocodile and green ants was interesting but I would have liked the green ants to take a more center stage. The desserts are fantastic. At 11 dishes for $110, it is great value. I highly recommend.

We had an amazing evening at Caveau. First of all, the waiting staff were brilliant. Very informative and helpful, and passionate about what they do. Accommodating too - we had our (sleeping!) 5 month old baby with us and we had plenty of space for her pushchair. Food was great. Inventive and beautifully presented, but also some incredible flavours. I would never have thought that green ants could be so tasty! 😃 Would definitely visit again if in Wollongong. Thanks all!

I especially loved the use of native flora and fauna and local produce. The nod the indigenous cuisine is a lovely touch. We loved the barramundi (probably the best we have had) and their version of Apple crumble.

I can honestly say I have never had anything like the food on offer at Caveau. The little damper with the seeded butter was absolutely amazing. It was so good. All the other courses were amazing also. We were a little underwhelmed by our main meal. Sirloin could have been a little more tender and the the lettuce hearts were not to our taste. must try
