Review Caffe Rustica - Wongaling Beach

Fabulous pizza! Got some take away pizzas from this place over Easter, lovely crispy bases and fresh toppings. They were so tasty we returned for more again the next night! Thoroughly recommend.

Really enjoyed the setting and the food. Service also very good. The two pizzas we had were delicious. Price very fair. Will definitely return.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews but this place deserves it. Firstly the young server is polite and the service from him was fine. It’s the food that is bad and the older couple in the back do not know what they are doing. We ordered 2 pizza’s, garlic bread and 2 pasta meals. It took a long time and the pasta was clearly microwaved as nobody was cooking anything. The sauce was just cream on top and not reduced. The pizza bases were not home made and came out burnt. When we spoke to the server he agreed the food is bad. This place should be shut down because they are ripping off tourists as there is no way locals would come. I should have known it was going to be bad when it was empty on a Saturday night and the Thai down the road was fully booked.

What a great service for mission beach. We have to admit that we read some of the reviews and were sceptical. But luckily we make up our own minds and gave Caffe Rustica a go for dinner. We got there just after 5pm for a take away and already the customers were lining up, locals and tourists. The server was polite and took our order and found out how long the wait would be. 35 mins. So we took a walk to the beach, watched a bit of sunset, strolled back, watched people keep rocking up and at exactly 35 minutes our pizza and garlic bread were ready and a sneaky lime cheesecake with my favourite 'made on the premise'. Walked back to our room, pizza was hot and tasty, garlic bread garlicky and the cheesecake a treat. Pizza in paradise.

Pizza is delicious, we came back two nights in a row! Ordered pasta on the second night, in addition to the pizza, which we felt was a little underwhelming for the price. Nice place, nice vibes.

Nice and cosy place. Amazing pizza with locally sourced fresh ingredients, tried the veg pizza. Do not forget to try the desserts. We tried the flourless date/nuts cake and rum n raisin gelato, both were really good.

I really enjoy Caffe Rustica. I get takeaway here whenever I stay at Mission Beach. The staff are very friendly and professional. The puttenesca and garlic bread are delicious!

No sauce or VERY little on our pizza, shrimp, not prawns on the pizza and a MAIN meal lasagne would barely be enough to feed an adult. Not impressed. $53.00 better spent elsewhere sadly. Garlic bead was good though for the star.
