We have been regular customers at Riverside for many years and our daughter was married there 4 years ago. It was the most picturesque and beautiful location for the wedding and the food Suzie cooked was absolutely delicious. Suzanne was extremely accommodating with every aspect of the day, including with the set up.
The staff are friendly and we are always greeted like old friends when we arrive.
We highly recommend Riverside for breakfast, lunch or morning/afternoon tea.
It is a lovely place to bring visitors to soak up the history of a by gone era whilst sitting in the grounds of the majestic Woodbridge house. The cafe is situated on the riverbank, in what use to be, the “coach house” of the grand old mansion.
Special little spot!
I'd previously been to the cafe for breakfast. It was lovely & the food was delicious & good value.
We recently organised an outdoor afternoon tea for a birthday party group booking... it ended up being a unexpected wet afternoon. The staff pre-emptively moved us indoors. Setting up a lovely table setting. The staff were helpful & accommodating. The food was lovely.
The breakfast was lovely. Nice friendly staff and the cafe was cosy and nice. Surely I will go back again .
I had a birthday and surprise engagement party at RiversideWoodbridge and cannot recommend them enough for any special celebration. The service was excellent in the lead up to the day and on the day. I was able to leave all the planning and decorating to the guys and I wasn't disappointed. The food on the day was also amazing and I'd highly recommend the homemade sausage rolls!
Thank you for the great meal and wonderful service. Ploughmans lunch was amazing!
Beautiful food staff and location byo
Wine or beer.
Great food, great views and friendly staff!! Always enjoy going there for breakfast or lunch
Very nice peaceful setting on the Swan River. The staff are very friendly and the service is great. I’ve been there for breakfasts and lunch and haven’t been disappointed. The only negative is that the prices are a bit on the high side, but I’ll still visit there again. Definitely give them a go and support local business.
love the location. its a nice restaurant surrounded by nature next to river. good place to relax ur mind. The food is ok...not too great or too bad. price is reasonable as well....service a bit slow, but it's ok cause we weren't in a hurry :)
Eggs benny was pretty nice there was plenty on the plate and the hollandaise sauce was good although I don't think it was home made. Great location along the water the serenity was enjoyable
Saturday morning breakfast with the family (2 x adults + 1 x child) was great. Food, scenery and service were all excellent. I would highly recommend Riverside at Woodbridge.
Amazing location, friendly staff and excellent food! We have been there 3 times and we only had an issue once with cups that were not clean. Their prawn, bacon and melon salad is to die for! The seasoning is sooo good!
This place is gorgeous! Riverside, with beautiful views, perfect for a Sunday afternoon cuppa and cake. We had the apple pie, tiramisu, scones and red velvet cake with coffee all round. The service was fantastic and everyone enjoyed their desserts. My only criticism is that my pie was a bit soggy and didn't taste as good as the homemade stuff. Oh and chairs could be more comfy. All in all, minor blemishes on an otherwise lovely venue, with friendly staff.
Had lunch with friends at Riverside at Woodbridge. Service was great, friendly staff. Our food was quite good R Sara (FCIA ret)
Magnificent lunch in the winter sun. Our group of six had a long stroll around the river then a late 2pm lunch on the verandah bathed in lovely winter sun. The staff were very friendly, polite and attentive which made the afternoon even more special. We had a variety of entrees and mains (both hardy and healthy). The serves were very good size and everything was exceptionally fresh and tasty. Although absolutely full we even made a selection from the wonderful sweets menu to share with coffee. We left almost three hours after arriving and had a wonderful day. When I read some of the reviews here after arriving home I was stunned to read some of the complaints (they are old reviews I guess?).
Excellent lunch today. Arrived at 1230 and our other two guests were late. As soon as they sat down the young waitress asked if we wanted coffee, we told her we were there for lunch. There were approximately 12 people in the resteraunt and more were arriving. We were approached twice by 2 different wait staff but we were busy talking so asked them to come back later. As soon as we were ready to order a waitress was at our table. The waitress knew the specials but did not know the actual price of the specials. We ordered a BLT, a steak and kidney pie and the special of the day , a pork roast meal and a lamb shank. As we were busy catching up we lost track of time but before we knew it our meals arrived. The single lamb shank was big and tasted beautiful ( I was not allowed to sample it) and the steak and kidney pie and hot veggies was filling and appertising. The BLT came with hot chips which we all shared and they were hot and crunchy and the pork roast was also excellent, we all had great meals. We were offered coffee after a short time and we ordered and asked for them in 10 minutes time and were about to chase them up about 20 minutes later when they arrived. I was impressed and would go back anytime.
We came early on a Sunday morning and received lovely service and enormous portions of very delicious breakfast. Reading the negative reviews is a suprise as this was a lovely experience. Will return.
Great!. Loved it! First time here, and I can't think of a better surrounding and environment to dine. The coffee was great! The food, though a little slow, was great! The staff were friendly and really warm.
We will certainly be back!
Great Food But Not Great Service. Went here with a group of 15 for our xmas breakup lunch. It was a Monday but still completely packed, with only 2 serving staff. These poor girls were friendly and polite, but run off their feet and service was very slow as a result. The kitchen was super disorganised; we were brought out 2 dishes that belonged to another table, and one of them was the same as someone on our table had ordered, so she started eating it then they came and said it was not really hers and took it away as she'd then have had to eat way before the rest of us. Then one of our party had her meal completely forgotten. When queried this was rectified eventually and they gave it to her for free. When we paid, we had to wait ages for one of the staff to be free to calculate the total bill. So all in all service was not up to scratch; however, the food was fabulous and everyone was very pleased with their meals, both in quality and portion size. Location is lovely too. They just need to get their act together service wise and put on more staff at this busy time of year.
A Nice Afternoon. We found ourselves at this cozy little place one day on a whim. It was a first visit for both of us and we were equally annoyed at the elusive parking. The restaurant didn't look too busy, but there isn't a lot of parking in that area so diners beware.
After a wait for a waitress to come and seat us (there were only two ladies to ferry the food, take the orders and seat visitors and they apologized for the wait) we were seated in a lovely little nook overlooking the river. It was a bit of a chilly day, but the sunny atmosphere was nice. The actual eating area can use a bit of TLC and a new coat of paint, but the beauty of the river and flower beds just outside the restaurant makes up for it.
Both of us enjoyed our meals thoroughly. My salmon sandwich was quite delicious and the plating was nice. My only critique was that the bread was a bit hard... when you consider the size of the sandwich vs the size of my mouth... actually eating the delicious thing became a bit of an undertaking. It came with come chips and a salad on the side, but overall the portion sizing was just right to leave you satisfied but not too full.
I had lunch with my family today and can't wait to go again . The service was good, the food was great and the location superb.
What a gem of a place! Had breakfast here today and can't say enough nice things about it. Food and service was wonderful - view and atmosphere lovely. Our waitress couldn't do enough for us, she was accommodating in every way. After reading the other review about the pram I understand there really isn't enough room at this place for them.
I liked the idea of eating in some kind of peace without babies screaming in a small area.
Need attention. Always love a good breakfast or lunch here. Love the service and location. Foods always great.
One thing you guys have to change is the chips. Please dont follow down the path of the pubs. I went there saturday and you always had the nicest chips but now i was dissapointed to get beer batter chips. Please go back to the old chips. Apart from that, great as per usual :)
Beautiful location, fantastic service and fantastic food. Will definitely be going back.
Great Location. Went here for breakfast last Sunday. Such a nice place on the river with a view. Everyone enjoyed there meals. Will be returning!
Tasty lunch, beautiful river setting. One of Perth's best-kept secrets on the river at Guildford. the barramundi was fresh and plentiful and the salmon caesar salad was creative and tasty.
The waitstaff are all friendly young women and our thanks to Renee for looking after us so well.
This is a gorgeous relaxed setting ovrlooking the river and a vineyard on the other side, all as planes glide past on their descent into the nearby airport.
Great value for money with plentiful and fresh servings.
Great place - relaxed atmosphere, beautiful view & amazing food! Serving sizes are great & prices are even better! Will definatly be returning :)
Amazing food! Always is breakfast and lunch, wait staff are always kind and service exceptionally fast! It's local sawn valley with beautiful weather and setting! Just amazing! Thank you for your beautiful service!
A lovely surprise find in the Swan Valley with generous portions and country like hospitality. Scones are a must!
Yes!. Had some cakes and coffee Saturday afternoon and what a lovely setting riverside is on. I could have sat there all day... i might just do that next time. Some bad reviews for food - i will give them a try next. Coffee was really tasty and my scone was very good. Its BYO so why not make the most of it and head down for an afternoon chill!
Great location!. Hubby wanted to go somewhere in the swan valley area so we chose this as it was close enough. It was a little hard to find as you had to go go through some construction works on a dusty road to get there (luckily someone in the area knew where it was and explained this to us) Near Guildford Grammar school which is undergoing some works I believe.
Anyway, it was a warm day today and there were quite a few other customers there by the time we arrived mid afternoon. We chose a lovely spot overlooking the river. It was quite warm in the verandah area and there were only fans above. A few degrees cooler and it would have been perfect! Service wasn't too bad but not the best either. I had a ice chocolate which was actually made very well and hubby had a capuccino. We both ordered scones which were rather disappointing to be honest as they were flat and very crumbly, making them difficult to eat.
It is located in a beautiful setting as can be seen by the photos I've posted and you can see the Riverbank estate winery on the other side of the river.
I
We have been a few times fr a late breakfast and it's great. The prices are so reasonable, $16.50 for the full hot breakfast. The food is tasty and well presented but you dot have to pay the $23 other places charge. Setting is beautiful and breezy. Always a mixture of extended family's, retiree's and young couples. Very relaxing.
Came for Saturday breakfast, the view is beautiful! Such a calm spot, had poached eggs on toast with bacon and mushrooms. Poached eggs can be so hit and miss, but these were well cooked with tasty mushrooms an thick crusty toast. The pot of tea was just a bag in a pot which was a little disappointing, really could have leaves or at least two bags! Owner put the heater on for me and was chatty with out being intrusive. My only caution is there is limited parking and to get here was a challenge, driving through a construction site and a muddy road. All in all though, well worth it.
Amazing. I am a regular customer of riverside @ woodbrigde... The food is always fantastic, service is friendly and welcoming. Highly recomended, U wont be disappointed!!!
Lazy Sunday Brekkie. Went down to Riverside @ Woodbridge on a Sunday morning for my Mum's birthday. Service was prompt and friendly. Breakfast selection was good and most importantly, very yummy and of good portion size.
I've read in another review that parking was a problem. We didn't have any on this occasion and I think it may be only associated with events such as mother's day.
The atmosphere was good and the location is beautiful. It's hard to mess up breakfast, but credit where credit is due. We really enjoyed ourselves!

OVER 50. I had a lovely afternoon tea here yesterday. Service was pleasant and prompt, tea was hot and food was delicious.
Wow fantastic place amazing view great for Sunday lunch ! Food fantastic service very nice and friendly. Salad dressing is amazing
We recently celebrated a birthday lunch here. It is in beautiful setting with indoor & outdoor dining overlooking the vineyards. Staff are very helpful & knowledgeable. Food is very fresh - they have their own fresh seafood tanks & dry aging meat. We enjoyed selections from the shared plate menu- would definitely recommend. We will be back!
Had an enjoyable lunch here even on a rainy day! Staff really friendly and helpful, food’s great with a range of selection (also a wide range of wines to choose from). Would def recommend 🧡
Amazing lunch, staff were super lovely and made great wine and food suggestions. Fantastic views and outdoor seating.
We have just had the most wonderful meal for Sunday lunch.
Bev our waitress was awesome helped us choose our wine with the outstanding aged ribeye I chose rear and it was perfect 💋
Bev was very attentive and looked out for us during our journey through the menu even gave us a wee tasting of wines to help make our choices
Elegance, sophistication, tranquility and beauty. I lifted my high quality glass of san Pellegrino sparkling water, which was an option of many, as we sat with a view over the river and vineyards. The staff are highly trained and friendly and happy to discuss the ins and outs of all menu options. Our coffee mugs and side plates are of the highest quality Churchill stoneware. The pouring rain countrified our warmly heated enclosure as it hit the tin roof and really made me think about how lucky we are to be able to enjoy such situations. Lindsay and her staff made our stay phenomenal, enjoyable and wishing we didn’t live 1000km away. Absolutely 5 star pick.
We bought a Scoopon voucher for 2 at the Riverbank Estate. This included a two course winery lunch; both my partner and I were blown away by not only the quality of wine, but also the quality of food and service. We definitely intend to return in the summer and truely enjoy this beautiful little gem in the swan valley to its full potential.
Fantastic location in the Swan Valley. Great atmosphere, outstanding customer service and the food was absolutely amazing. 1st class. The wines were very nice and will definitely return again
