Went here for our anniversary and everything was amazing. All the dishes we had were delicious and the staff were super friendly. We expected the bill to be really high because we had cocktails and a bottle of wine but it was very reasonable. I am still dreaming about the saffron risotto, will have to go back and recommend to friends and family!
Location: Five Ways Paddington - central and plenty of on street parking
Staff: Friendly and attentive
Food: Delicious, we ordered Pizza, Spaghetti and Arancini balls cooked perfectly with a generous serving size.
Price: 2 people including drinks approx. $80
Premises: very clean
Wonderful ambiance with good food. The arancini balls were delicious. The Calzone was one of the best I have had and the gnocchi was amazing. Always looking for a local Italian Restaurant and now I have found one.
Such an amazing experience at Vino e Cucina, feel like I’m in Italy again thanks to the amazing staff which made my experience. The wine and Pizza is divine! Can’t wait to come back. Oh and the location is perfect for people watching as you’re in the most magical part of paddington. Inside is ambient and relaxed also 👌✨
You don’t have to look hard to find it, for it is quite distinguishable with their colourful table clothes and umbrellas, which is quite reminiscent of the streets of Italy and their colourful display of restaurants and cafes.

Wonderful place with a warm setting. The food was delicious and from order to table pretty fast. The desserts were creative but a little bit away from traditional Italian apart from the Tiramisu
I fell in love with Vino e Cucina before I even looked at their menu. Set in a charming heritage terrace in village-like Paddington, the restaurant offers alfresco dining out front along the pavement as well as an intimate courtyard at the back. Just before 6pm when the sun was still high in the sky, several patrons sip on Aperol Spritz and munched on antipasto, reminding me of many aperitif hours spent in Italy. Our table on top of the stairs overlooked Glenmore Road and allowed up to watch the world go by on this warm summery evening.
We stumbled across Vino e Cucina, looking for somewhere to eat after the David Bowie-themed exhibition at a nearby gallery in Five Ways. My friends couldn’t be convinced to try Tequila Mockingbird (too expensive and upscale, they said, though I’d noted Spooning Australia’s rave review). So Vino e Cucina looked buzzy and nice.

What greets you as you enter Vino E Cucina is the amazing Italian aromas. It draws you in so enticingly. The venue itself is pretty too and that holds you, with it being deceptively long and having a casual and relaxed atmosphere. We started with a glass of Chianti each. This wonderful Italian red goes so very well with Italian food and is one of our go-to wines.
On a sunny Saturday, I head to Italian restuarant, Vino E Cucina. I've been craving Italian food as well so I am looking forward to the meal at Vino E Cucina. I'm sitting in the court yard at the back of Vino E Cucina with my partner and the sun is shining, it's a good day. . Vino E Cucina is located in Paddington. From the exterior, it looks like a traditional Italian restaurant but I would say there's a few modern twists on the menu. I cheers to a lovely weekend food escape with a glass of sparkling rose and Matt orders a beer. The sparkling rose matches the day, a bit of buzz in the air with light flavour tones.
A delicious meal! We were pleased with the portions and the friendly staff :) we ordered the Zoccoletta Pizza which was to DIE FOR and the parpadelle. Would come here again!
This restaurant has good atmosphere and an outside seating area. We had half a dozen of oysters in salmon roe (weekly special) and half a dozen of oysters natural, both very fresh. Seafood pizza was crispy and nice, Don’t forget to save space for dessert! The tiramisu is a must!!!
A call out on Sydney Food Bloggers for a kid friendly restaurant in the Eastern Suburbs inspires me to check out Vino e Cucina. Thanks @kittismallbone for the restaurant tip and @naomi_rheinberger for first telling me about this place years ago — I finally made it. Freshly shacked [shucked] oyster with pickled cucumber, salmon roe & vinaigrette ($4) have a nice flavour combo and were a great way to start. Definitely seems to be shucked to order as they provided the lid of the oyster shell in the plating which is always nice to see. Deep fried calamari with salt and pepper ($16.90) were nice and tender and quite tasty. If they had just a touch more crisp coating would have been even better but still a good one to share. Bambini Pizza Ham - San Marzano Tomato, Mozzarella & Ham ($15) was very yummy with plenty of ham ripples. Miss 5 year old loved it. Gamberi - San Marzano tomato, fior di latte, prawns, zucchini, cherry tomato, rocket ($25.50) was nice but I would have preferred no zucchini and rocket and swapped it with some pepperoni, olives and chilli oil for the win. Tiramisu Fatto in Casa ($12.90) which I translate to mean eating tiramisu makes you as fat as a house ;-) had a light texture and yummy flavour. This was a great way to finish and definitely generous enough to share between two although I ended up eating most of it because the Mrs doesn't like tiramisu. Lemon Sorbet ($5) was yummy and a crowd pleaser for Miss 5 year old — she loved those sprinkles on top as well. I spotted a poster in the toilet promoting a free glass of house wine if you upload a photo to Zomato. I think they should say social media instead so it includes Facebook and Instagram which would be more common for people to use. Service was down-to-earth and friendly and the decor cosy. There's a great garden courtyard out the back and a couple of intimate booths inside along the passageway past the kitchen. Such a local gem and great to finally discover.
In short, food, service and ambience is great for a date or group of people.I'm a local and when Manu Fieldel closed his restaurant at this location, I was disappointed. I tried Vino E Cucina several times when it first opened and found the food nice, but no wow factor. I went to Vino E Cucina in winter 2016 and was amazed at how good the food had become at this restuarant since it first opened. To set the backstory, I am not a vegetarian, and rarely eat a dinner without meat. I also rarely order gnocchi as most restaurants just cannot get it right (just like risotto). On this visit, we had the Salt-baked gnocchi w taleggio, gorgonzola, radicchio & hazelnut, which was perfectly executed. An Italian friend said their gnocchi was as good as his mothers, which says a lot.We also had warm brussel sprouts which had an almond cream dressing on it and it was my favourite dish of the night. I hope they bring this back on the menu when it is in season. The final dish we shared was 4 Formaggi pizza. Vino E Cucina does pizza well, and I enjoyed it. I would not go here specifically for a pizza night (there are better places), but for a mix of different Italian dishes, I highly recommend you visit here.My Italian food expectations have been set high since we travelled to Italy last year, and this place didn't fail to impress.
Truly Italian northern rustic style in food and decor loved it . Fresh ingredients, seafood and meat dishes with thin crust pizza a favorite. grest service. Latin waiters rather easy on the eye too☺☺
What a great place, from the moment you walk in you can feel the vibe and see how the restaurant is well managed. The food and service are great, definitely recommended.
This place is perfect for large groups or small intimate dates with its dim lights and rustic Italian flare. The calzone is to die for and the pasta is absolute perfection. Highly recommend.
Came here for the first time last week with my family and was immediately impressed with the seamless service. The decor is simple, yet cute and makes for a very authentic Italian experience. The food arrived quickly and it's safe to say it was devoured in equal measures. The calzone (the highlight of my week) was a "man versus food" type of portion; but the old "loosen the belt" trick ensured I was able to knock back a beautiful, dark and rich piece of Tiramisu to finish off the night. If you have not been here - you haven't lived. Simple as that.
Absolutely loved it! The food is delicious and full of flavours and the customer service is highly attentive and very warm. The ambience of the place is very neighbourly and they have a really nice courtyard at the back where the wood fired pizza oven is. I highly recommend the Honey roasted purple carrot with pancetta & pangrattato and the Mac'n Cheese Ultimate maccheroni with 4 Italian cheeses and truffle. Absolutely compulsory you order the Fresh hand-cut Pappardelle with Wagyu beef ragu.
Sat out the back in the garden area and loved it. The service was welcoming, informative and fast. The food was great quality and really enjoyable. The macaroni cheese with truffle oil was a particular highlight! Will definitely be coming back at some point!
I love this little Italian place in Paddington. I sat in the back outdoor area and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and casual vibe. The staff were fantastic and friendly, and the food was delicious.
We ordered the garlic and cheese pizza and calamari to start, both of which were full of flavour and delicious. The Mac n' Cheese was the highlight with 4 Italian and the truffle - so yum! The soft serve golden gaytime dessert was the perfect sweet option and I will definitely be back whenever I want a laid back casual dining experience.
Thursday night delight. We really enjoyed dining here. The food is simply delightful, and service rather friendly. Might I say, it was a little queer that, the waiter poured me a sample of the wine but not my company!
That aside, the wine list was extensive. We were seated at the back of the restaurant, in the courtyard which was really pleasant on a warm balmy night.
Portions are small, but you quantify it by the quality. On the pricey side but well worth it.
My favorite in Paddington. Rustic no fuss decor, comfortable surroundings in or out.
Carpaccio salmon and a true spritzer coupled with friendly attentive staff makes the highlight of my day!
A slice of Italy on Glenmore Road is where I will find myself every week. My girlfriends and I had the most amazing night eating such authentic Italian food and drinking beautiful wine. As soon as you walk in to Vino E Cucina you automatically feel like you are in tuscany....bliss.
The Prosciutto pizza was AAAAHHHMMMAAAZZZIIINNNNGGGGG!!! It was gone in all of 2 minutes and the meatballs are a MUST try as well as the Gnocchi.
If you haven't been here book a table and prepare to have a really enjoyable night.
Friday night dinner. Restaurant had a few groups which made noise unbearable in the front room. Food was average Italian fair. Had the meatballs, risotto and lamb ragu pasta. Will have to try pizza next time.
Our 100th time eating here. Seriously, LOVE this restaurant. Best food in 5 ways. Great wait staff and service. Divine food. Had the beef cheeks tonight. The perfect winter dinner ever. Their tiramisu is perfect. Run by the nicest most generous restauranteurs in Sydney. A must.

Best italian restaurant in sydney!. Monday night pizza night is to die for, and we were recently spoilt rotten on a Saturday evening dinner. The service, food and atmosphere is beautiful as it all combines to give a classy and comfortable evening in Provincial Italia. A beautiful night out and dining experience whether you're after a relaxed casual evening or a little something special.
BEST OYSTERS IN SYDNEY!!!
Neighborhood restaurant with authentic simple dishes. LOVE the staff, front of house. Friendly, polite, genuine hospitality, great dining experience.
LOVELY PLACE!. I went to vino e cuccina twice, and i'm still thinking lovely, lovely, lovely!!!
I went during the week with my husband, perfect for cozy dinner. We shared some starters, amazing bruschetta and Arancini balls!!yummy!!! i had the gnocchi, really cheese and tasty, good choice the hazelnut into!!! My husband had the pork belly and was beautiful! The waitresses were competent and suggested us a perfect wine and to come at Monday night for the pizza night! so we went last Monday, and was a really pleasant surprise the different and funny night, although was completely full, the waitress was truly polite and the pizza is absolutely amazing!!!!! I went with some friends and we were all fit to burst!!! All the staff is young and Italian and the atmosphere is nice and friendly. They offered us homemade lemoncello!!! Super!!!!!
Saturday lunch, great food, especially the wild boar ragu. Staff were wonderful, good atmosphere.
Great spot for a lunch date. Friendly staff. Yummy food - crispy Aranchini for starters, flavourful meatballs in Spaghetti Polpette and nice seafood spaghetti. Big piece of tiramisu is worth the price. Will be back for a date night to check out the vibes.
Great food and service especially by Francesca and Manuel. We had the focaccia and truffle butter, mushroom rigatoni, prawn risotto and the beef tartare. Admittedly a little on the pricey side, but everything was great and no complaints as to quality.
You can probably find equally good food for slightly cheaper elsewhere, but you definitely won't have to worry about bad food here.
Very nice venue where you fell like in Italy. The terrace in the courtyard is the best spot.
Food is correct but nothing incredible. A lot of choices on the menu to satisfy everyone.
The service is really quick and the waiters are friendly and careful.
Make sure to have a booking otherwise you will not get a table.
Overall a good experience but the food is nothing amazing, and can feel a little over priced for what you actually end up getting. Nice decor and good service, would come back for a simple meal out
We had a large booking of 14 extended family celebration. Francesca and Matteo and all the staff could not have been more accomodating, fabulous friendly service, superb food and nothing was too much trouble. Could not recommend them highly enough - go and enjoy 😊
Great atmosphere, dim romantic lighting and decor is very nice. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Each staff member made sure to welcome us and say goodbye when we left. Everything we ordered came within a good timeframe and most importantly, tasted delicious! Meal sizes were huge, good value for money. Was so sad we couldnt get the golden gaytime dessert but the tiramasu we got was sooooooo good!
