We live in Bali but never miss an opportunity to visit the Australian 18 Footers when in Sydney. Simply the best.. wonderful location, fabulous food and service. Love love đź’™

Picturesque setting. Set on the ferry wharf overlooking picturesque Double Bay Beach and Steyne Park, the 18 Footers restaurant serves quality food, at about the right price.
We decided to skip entrees , eat mains and share desserts. Our Mains choices: for the Fish eaters: Atlantic Salmon, Barramundi and Snapper Fish of the Day. For the carnivores: Wagyu Steak and New York Cut. Mains were offered with the expected chips and salads.
Desserts were tempting. Our choices: Dobos Cake, Lemon Crepes and Apple tart. See pictures.
The waiter forgot to serve us wine and upon realising his mistake, midway through eating our mains, the maitre d' offered us the wine - on the house. A nice touch.
A Fawlty Towers style drink waiter was a character - pouring wine into a glass balanced on his forehead - much to the delight of the patrons.
Thank heavens he had more balance than Basil's Manuel!!
One needs to be a member to dine here. And for those lucky to be a member, it's a great feed.
I used to be a member. Now live overseas. Came down for a family wedding and arranged a cocktail party for our friends at the 18 footers. It was absolutely fabulous! Food was very good staff were amazing ….everyone had a great time. Perfect venue. Thank you very much
This place has a fantastic view overlooking the bay of Double bay.
The bar and restaurant staff is friendly and professional. The food is good and above pub quality and is reasonably priced considering the location and the views. We had mostly good experiences here and a occasional bad one, but the issue has always been resolved by the restaurant staff.
The 18 Footers yacht club is located right next to the ferry terminal in Double bay.
This is a club under the nsw club act, so you need to be a either a member, guest of a member or live out side the 5 km radius to be able to sign-in as a non member.
It can get busy here so if your not a member there is a chance you can’t get in, especially nowadays with Covid capacity restrictions.
Tip! To avoid disappointments have a reservation and book a table in the restaurant for lunch or dinner.
I had dinner with friends at 18 Footers Bar and Restaurant on Valentine’s Day. The service staff were really nice and friendly and helpful with the menu and willing to make changes for us. The food portions were quite large and pretty tasty. You just needed to order your drinks at the bar.
Love this club as a great place to eat or just relax in the lounge or on the deck. Don't have to be a member to eat in the restaurant but do have to be signed in or member for bar or lounge. New furniture for the lounge area is an improvement to a lovely space
As a member of a few clubs I'd have to say the 18 Footers is a pleasure to be a member of. They are always friendly and the prices and food are first class
Relaxed atmosphere. Great food. Great service. Terrific views. Ferry right at the doorstep. But you do pay for food and drinks separately.
